Hi, i just thought - since no one has talked about it yet on this forum - i would show everyone some pictures of the cast: Daniel, Emma, Rupert, Matthew, Bonnie and Evanna; each showing off their new hairstyle.

(that wasn't the whole point of their appearance though, just to add. They were at an award cermony)

These pictureswill give us an insight into what kind of hairstyles we might see in this movie.

hint: Check out Rupert Grint's(Ron Weasley) hair now. It's brilliant!!! reminds me of my hair, except my hair is dark brown like Dan's and plus i'm a girl!; it's not too long and not too weird looking (messy) - no offence.

i think it's pretty good! still liked OoTP and PoA better, but...its cute!

and yea, bonnie evanna and mat all look good...matt has short hair! lol...bonnie is taller than dan, it's gonna be soo akward...

Hang on...??? wouldn't she be wearing high heals in those pictures? I'm not sure. But then that would mean she's not taller than dan. I suppose they might be around about the same height.

I think dan should be chuffed with his height - i don't think anyone would have it any other way (him being taller, i mean). We all like him anywhoo.

But yeah. Anyway. I can't wait till the next movie, its gonna be awesome. I especially cannot wait to see our first pictures of them filming their sequences, with the new hairdo's.

Dan's hair looks better than Ootp's...Rupert looks really good! But I totally fell in love with him in Ootp...he looked so extremely and totally YUMMY! squealed everytime he was on the screen!

Evanna seems to have shorter hair? I'm not sure though...she looks pretty and so do Bonnie and Emma. Bonnie's bangs are long and cool...she looks really nice and she has longer hair than in Ootp, but shorter than in some late premieres she has attended...she's wearing heels, I don't think she's taller than Dan, she didn't seem like it in Ootp...and well, they're experts and they know camera tricks and stuff

Matt has shorter hair too...I was not a fan of his haircut in Ootp...

Well...I can't wait for HBP! It'll be amazing!

i liked the guy's hair in OotP MUCH better than the GoF! but, emma's hair still needs ot be bushier in the movies, the closest they got was when they crimped it in the 1st movie but each movie it becomes less and less bushy

For Dan...I absolutely hated his hair in GoF! It was way too long...but in OOtP it was too short. I hope that it will be kind of messy and between those too. Because Harry is supposed to have messy hair anyway. So something between GoF and OOtP.

For Emma...well I hope that it is the same as it was in OOtP...I thought that was good.

For Rupert...well...his hair looks good long, but not as long as it was in GoF. That was a little too much. But the way it is in this picture...is perfect.

For Bonnie...I don't like it in this picture...I thought it was great in OOtP. Also, is it just me...or does she look a lot prettier without so much makeup!?

For Evanna...I really liked it in OOtP. And it looks good now too.

And Matthew...YIKES! Grow out that hair!

As far as I know, Dan is filming the scenes with Michael Gambon in the cave so his hair may definitely be how it is shown in those pics. I'm not sure how long it will be until Rupert and Emma start filming. Rupert looks great as always and the hair never fails. Emma's hair, however, looks a bit more blond and she just finished Ballet Shoes so hopefully she darkens it a bit at least. I really miss her bushy, crimped hair from PS but I guess its not going to happen again.

The character Hermione - as everyone knows - grows up alot throughout each book of the series. Emma's hair reflects that ordeal and portrays Hermione in a way that is both believable and enticing.
I do not critisize the way Emma Watson's hair looks now, for all we know the colour may fade in time for her scenes. My sister has commented that she "dislikes" the way alot of girls die their hair blonde and doesn't seem to understand that being prejudice doesn't make her correct.
As for the bushiness, hermione is supposed to gradually improve her looks in the books. So, in a way, Emma's hair is very appropriate, in which case makes the character's growth come across more real(istically).

I agree with you fully on the fact that her hair is definitely appropriate for the way she is growing up in the books. I also agree with ...Lady Luna with her hair is a bit too blond for hermione but that can easily be sorted out if neccessary (sp?).

Now to dan's hair. Well i think it looked weird in OotP and it is much better now but i really want it a bit longer for the film just because his hair is meant to be messy and works better if it is longer. But that is what i think any opinions on this please post so i can argue/agree! lol only kidding but i would like to hear your views.

Before he and Rupert were very tall compared to everybody else, but then Rupert grew and Dan stayed put...

yea you're right, evanna and emma i think are taller...and bonnie's definitely heading that way! lol. it doesnt even matter if she's a like the same height...it's still going to be really wierd

I hope that the hair and makeup team do a better job on the Half-Blood Prince, than for the Order of the Phoenix.

I couldn't stand seeing Harry's hair so short because it made him look as though he were joining the marines or the army, plus his hair seemed to be lighter than in all the Harry Potter films. They should just keep his hair the same as it was in the Chamber of Secrets where it was longer and dark brown/jet black.

As for Ron, they should give him a bit of haircut because half the time it looks as though he can't see a thing.

Dan's hair - it needs to be MESSY and BLACKER! It's sorta his trademark right?

Emma's hair is still blond from Ballet Shoes because she hasn't start filming yet! She'll only start in January.

I like Dan's hair, though PoA is still the best.

Bonnie - have you seen new pictures of her? IT'S PERFECT, I'm telling you. Her fringe isn't as short anymore and it's just beautiful! Why don't I have such a beautiful hair. I hope her hair will be just like it was in the Finnish premiere(look at my avatar).

They all look good to me, except that Emma's hair is still blonde BUT IT WILL GET DYED!

Actually, you may find that Emma Watson HAS infact finished filming Ballet shoes. Its just that her hair hasn't yet lost its dye; it takes a while for a person's colour to fade properly when it's been dyed. Ballet Shoes, i think, reaches tv sometime during christmas.

Dan Radcliffe's hair actually doesn't look too bad in this film. Its not as short as it was before and it's just perfect! I saw a load of pictures on the internet showing him and Michael Gambon shooting scenes in slughorn's village. I know what you're all thinking - they're already showing pictures?

I like what they do with the girls hair with the exception of Ginny. I hate when they pull it back, it makes her ears look big and not very attractive. If she is supposed to ignite Harry's emotions, I hope they let her wear it down and curl it so that she begins to look more feminine and mature.

I think Hermiones hair is getting less hermione-isher by every movie...its getting blonder and blonder and its more curly that bushy...its not really Hermiones hair anymore but Emmas hair...duh..hope they are not that blind on the set anymore to see that...
and something has to happen with Bonnie´ s hair because she doesnt look attractive at all...I mean Ginny is supposed to look attractive in a very odd, sick and weird way...oh well.

I think all the hair styles will look nice. I don't mind what they look like.

Dont you think Daniel radcliffe looks like a little boy in this picture? I couldn't tell whether it was a past photo or a new one, but it is because it was taken at the interview they did of him and some of the rest of the cast of Harry Potter, over the weekend.

His hair looks really cool. I recently saw Parkinson with him on it and i thought Dan seemed a little bit youthful in his interview. In a very good way! Its growing; his hair i mean.

I certainly hope Emma's hair will get dyed!

I agree that Hermione's looks improve throughout the books, but still, the one thing I love about the characters is that they reflect "normal" kids growing up. There are a lot of girls in the world who are happy about their appearances because our hero doesn't care too much about her looks.

I'm one of those "I can't tame my hair" girl, and I loved how Hermione is famous for her brains and not for being extremelly pretty.

Of course they are all actors, but still, if they can't photoshop Dan's eyes, they should at least leave the other characters' physical appearances as much as possible as they are portrayed in the books.

I agree the guys' hair in GoF was extremelly long, and Dan's hair in OotP was extremelly short, so I'd love to see Dan's hair somewhere in between for the same reasons you guys said before.

Hermione's hair should be brown and bushy, just like the character, not like Pauline's in Ballet Shoes.

In the first two movies Emma's hair was brilliant! Just like I imagined Hermione's hair. From PoA to now her hair has gone from bushy to stylish! Come on! Make the hair bushy please! It's suppose to be uncontrollable!

Dan's hair... don't even get me started! I was so mad when he cut if for OotP! Come on! I think the only movie they got Dan's hair right was in PoA (one of the only things they got right there). Now Harry's hair is supposed to be a big deal because it's what makes him look like his father, so if they don't get it right in the movies then they aren't getting the character right! Gosh it's like if you made DD's hair short and brown!

Rupert's hair is cool I like it. Him and the twins have wicked hair (well the twins not so much any more! Love it in PoA and GoF). There hair is fine... speaking of red heads please some one dye Bonnie's hair the proper colour! What part of "Flaming red hair" don't they get? Her hair looks brown too me!

Ok that's enough about hair! It only really matters when it comes to HP

Rupert's hair looks great to me, I think his is the best. Emma's hair will probably be back to brown in the movie, I don't think we need to worry about that at all. Though the bushier the better I say.
Dan's is okay. I still say it was best in the first three though. I hope they do someting with Bonnie's it didn't look Ginnyish enough for me.
On the bright side Evanna's looks great!

it's alright...not the best. I really wish that Bonnie Wright's hair was different, it doesn't seem to fit Ginny's personality. Dan's hair would look better longer and Emma's will definitely be dyed back to brown. Evanna looks awesome Rupert...looks okay.

I'm loving the new cute on Mat. He looks good. And OMG! Emma is a blonde! How and WHEN did that happen?! Though of course, it looks gorgeous on her, like everything else...she'd better stay away from my Mat!

I think their new hairstyles are pretty good. The trio's hasn't changed much but everyone elses is a little more different. There not bad, better than movie 4!

Have you seen Rupert Grint's hair? It's no diiferent to how it was in order of the phoenix, but i digress, i'm not that bothered. It would have been cool though to see Ron have a cool flicky hairstyle like Rupert's was before.

Emma died her hair back to brown. Her hair is brown at the Chanel Fashion Show which took place shortly before filming began.

I ♥ Rupert Grint's hair now! I was very angry about his hair in movie 5 (Me at theater watching OotP: Bad Rupie! How dare you change your hair! What did I tell you not to do? Exactly! )

Well, anyways, I'd never thought I'd say this, but Dan's hair is actually getting better. I was too distraught over the drastic change between GoF and OotP (Me reading a magazine w/ my friend, looking at Dan's picture: ...Ew...). Just add some length and I will be happy! What's with that one little spike thing on the top of his head? Does anyone know?

Emma's hair, however, is...eh hem...not the greatest. She may want her hair to be stylish, but that's not how her character is!

Now for the others: Evanna's hair rocks! Bonnie's is too straight! Add some twirly curls (take Emma's hair ) Matt's hair is too short! His hair needs to fit his character more.

Long story short: Rupert and Evanna rocks!

I personaly loved Rupert's hair in OTP. I thought that it was just the right length. Dan's hair was way to short. He really needs to consider growing it out for HBP. I'm glad that Emma's hair is brunnette again, since Hermione really isn't blond. I actually have been liking the way her hair gets more mature because it's kind of like Hermione's growing up, which means her hair would grow out of it's bushy stage, right? Bonnie's hair in OTP was rather straight, but I think if they curled it, it might become a bit to girly for Ginny's character. Evanna's hair was a bit long. I always thought that Luna's hair would be about mid back, and only have a few waves but if it works for her then it works for me. As for Matt's hair, I aggree with you Luna Lover it does need to fit his character a bit more. I pretty much adore Emma and Rupert's hair!

I think Dan's hair is great. I don't know yet what Rupert's hair is gonna be like for the movie coz i havn't seen any more recent pictures apart from him outside harry potter filming. Emma's hair is fine; i too believe it's not a problem for her to have curls instead of bush because it makes her more mature, like ronluver7 said, and p.s. Hermione is supposed to look prettier in the future books any way, especially after GoF.
Any way. I hope Dan's hair gets longer and not shorter for the final movie because it would be interesting to see him with a new hairstyle every film. I don't think we need another short; maybe a 'messy' one perhaps

I absolutely agree about the Dan hair. He definitely needs it longer, Harry's hair is messy and you can't get messy with short you get what i mean?
Emma's hair, definitely alright. Your right her hair needs to get more un-bushy to show that she is maturing.

I've just seen some new set photos with Dan and Rupert and Alan Rickman on set. Rupert's hair is no different from Ootp i think, except it's only slightly longer round the sides but you can hardly tell. DAN'S hair looks much better now! It's grown a bit and it looks a lot neater - i mean it's not oddly cut or shaped, its just normal looking. I think i like his hair how it looks now in the photos.

I have noticed both Dan and Rupert have so far had different haircuts for each film. I'm betting we'll see more new ones in the final film. The actors will probably have a completely different look for the 7th one because they're supposed to be coming of age and they are supposed to look older, aren't they?

I have noticed that Dan has had a new hairstyle in every film, whereas Rupert has had the same old style, just a slight variation of the hairstyle he had in the first film. That boy needs a haircut in the worst way. That reminds me, the Westminster Dog Show is on tonight, Rupert's hair style (the last time I saw a recent picture of him) reminds me of a sheep dog. His hair is always in his eyes! In fact, a total makeover might help him. Where is his publicist and/or agent on this issue?!

Dan's hair was too short, but it's better now. and it has not had any more diversity in styles over the films than Rupert's has. if you ask me, his style is the one that hasn't changed much.

I can't wait till the next film, its gonna be awesome - jus another 4 months to go before we actually see some trailers. I've been doing some real mathematics there; if the movie is released near christmas, pictures and stuff usually arrive about May or June.

remember when we were all complaining about ron's long hair in the 4th film, i we hoped that he would sort it out somehow for the next films. Well, we got that wish granted, i think, because rupert's hair is shorter now and i'ts not too messy either.

Oh yeah, and i found this really sweat picture of rupert grint when he was a young child - way before any of the harry potter films.

Well, that picture of Rupert (not the baby one) proves what I have been saying all along. His hair is always in his eyes! That picture shows his hairstyle shorter than his usual, but still messy. It looks to me like his hair dresser (does he even have one?!) put a serving bowl on his head to trim his hair, leaving his long, unruly bangs untouched.

The style worked when he was a little boy, it was cute for a child, not a man that will be turning twenty later this year.

I think that whatever JK Rowling wrote for Ron's character in Deathley Hallows was added so that it kept up with the films. For instance, the whole long hair thing with ron i think was added just for the mere fact that she saw him in the GoF film with long hair - whom rupert grint was portraying - and did anyone notice that at the end of the book JK Rowling wrote something for Ron's character, with him saying "i only forgot to check the side mirror", when he was commenting on his driving test; earlier on when Rupert Grint announced that he had his drivers license, he mentioned exactly the same thing that JK Rowling just happened to write about Ron's character - that he only made one mistake and that was checking the mirror. Coincidence, i think NOT!

Anyway, so i don't think Ron has to have long hair for the final film but i only think that JK Rowling put that in so that readers could have something to relate to the films with.

Tonks, Lupin and Dumbledore

I found other pictures of Lupin and Dumbledore but they just look normal. It's Tonks you really want to see, she has short (styled) mousy-brown/what might be purple hair.

Oh, God. Dan's hair looks AWFUL! He needs to grow it out so its to the length it was in GoF. I mean, he looks like a FIVE YEAR OLD! (sorry Dan)
However, Rupert's hair looks great. It was too long in GoF and too short in OotP, but its perfect now.
Emma's hair looks really pretty, but honestly, blonde? I know it's her natural color, but Hermione just can't be BLONDE. Other than that, it looks great, and I'm sure that she can dye it back.
Evanna's is exactly the same, but I loved it in OotP, too. Who doesn't love anything about Evanna?
Bonnie's is perfect! That's always how I imagined Ginny's hairstyle, and it looks gorgeous on her. Hers is my favorite.
I love Matt, but yes, he needs to grow his hair out like he had it in GoF. I'm so glad it's not like it was in OotP, though. That was just weird. Grow your hair, Neville! You're my favorite!

I found a new promo pic of Harry in the Half Blood Prince movie. His hair looks great, in-fact i've never fancied him more because of this picture.

Yeah, it took a while for me to get used to Harry's hair in Ootp, and in GoF because it was really long and weird-looking in some parts (like in the dormintory, with Harry and Dumbledore, his hair - i have to admit - looked a bit girly), but the rest of the time it looked good. In this film it looks better. He should definitely NOT cut his hair any more, but just leave it to grow a bit more for the next 2 films. I even think he should grow his demi-beard again for the next film (DH 1 + 2) because he would look more scruffy and rugged, which would suit the fact that the trio are out camping for a year; unless harry has time to shave ...

he had a beard?? since when? that would freak me out a little if he had one in HBP because i never have imagined harry with a beard

There have been pictures of Dan with a beard, which he'd grown for Equus last year. He even had it when he was last on the Jonathan Ross show. It didn't look too good then, but if he grew it in a certain way, like as a sort of stubble, then it might not look soo bad.
I don't blame you though for not liking the idea of Dan Radcliffe with a beard, because i was really shocked by it when i first saw him in his demi-beard - it seemed like he was growing up way too fast and losing his innocence - but after awhile i got used to it and realised that he was the same boy but with a funny-looking beard (lol).
