QUOTE
I understand the concept of the Wizard of the Month rather as a way of acknowledging some deeds done by distinguished witches and wizards.
but i was looking through them and i found a few that didnt really have any admirable deeds.
Here are a few:
Erica Stainwright
Tarquin McTavish
and
Yardley Platt
(if you want to look at them look at the archived wizards of the month on JK's site

)
I think the Wizard of the Month is just a way to acknowledge Wizards in general, not just the ones that helped Wizarding society,-- because dont get me wrong, there are many admirable wizards in wizard of the month,-- but the ones that also did
not help wizarding society. I think shes honors wizards that impacted the society in some way whether good or bad.
So i think it is very possible that Gellert Grindewald will be "honored" because he
did impact the society, even though it was in a horrible way, but he still impacted it.
And it may not be that they even impacted the society-- it may be that they are famous for something in general, not something neccissarily great, but famous --or infamous-- for something that they did.
I hope that she continues Wizard of the Month-- there are some very interesting witches and wizards, and i would like to learn more about some more!!
P.S. Im rele glad she honored the founders!!
