Here we go again! I can imagine how boring it must be without a proper wizarding job, so read on and you will find your jobs bellow. smile.gif

emma200,
it’s my pleasure to announce your appointment with the Montrose Magpies, one of the most successful teams in the British and Irish Quidditch League which have won the cup no less than thirty two times. You’ve just become the new Healer of this splendid team. Though it is widely known that all the Healers have their healing rooms and cabinets in St. Mungo’s, this has changes recently. Quidditch players have become more and more clumsy, knocking themselves frequently off their brooms or hitting their own chasers with the Bludgers. It was agreed, then, that St. Mungo’s would train and offer a Healer a team so that the players needn’t be transported to the hospital any longer. Instead, the Healer travels with them from a match to another, carrying all the time the most useful potion ingredients and a ready-to-cast-healing-spell wand.

One of the perks of this occupation is that when the players happen not to hurt themselves, they usually invite other members of the team for a regular practice. You as a haler of course count as a regular team member. Thus, I’m convinced you will enjoy a lot of fun with Montrose Magpies as well as you will be allowed to devote yourself to the job of your liking.

I wish you the best of luck.

Half_Blood_Princess,
I really don’t know what your plans for tomorrow are, but in your place I would start the day by checking in at the Ministry of Magic, as that’s the place where they expect you as their new employee. It’s great to read that you are studious like Hermione because that’s exactly what the Ministry asks of the witches and wizards working for them. In particular, of those who are Wizengamot members like you are, as of now. Your interest in law in the Muggle world will prove very useful even in the magical one, as your job will be much similar to what the Muggles usually call “a lawyer.”

I am highly convinced that you will enjoy the second level of the Ministry where the Department of Magical Law Enforcement is located very much, as well as other levels of the Ministry which is in one word fascinating. wink.gif

Good luck and my warmest congratulations!

**********

Potters Princess,
Professor McGonagall will be thrilled when I tell her that she will never have to teach from the old and obsolete spell book again. Let’s face the truth, A Beginner’s Guide to Transfiguration is unbearable for both the students and the Professor. The wizarding job committee is convinced that your passion for writing and Transfiguration makes you perfect for becoming the author of A Beginner’s Guide to Transfiguration, 2nd edition. What this new spell book has in common with its predecessor is merely its title. Otherwise, it is going to be a spell book following the latest trends both in teaching methodology and in the art of Transfiguration.

I know that the students will simply love the new book. And who knows, once you’ve finished writing it, you may also produce a novel which will surely become a bestseller at Flourish & Blotts. wink.gif

**********

Mr. President,
the wizarding job committee respects your wish to become an auror, but we think that your personal traits along with your talents and skills will be of the greatest use as a lead guitarist with the Hobgoblins. My warmest congratulations! More than one witch or wizard have wanted to join the group in the past few months. But only your musical and comedian qualities persuaded the committee and the group alike and the Hobgoblins couldn’t resists but hire you.

I am very much convinced that while on tours with the band your dream or traveling the world will come easily true. And it will be only up you to choose the most convenient means of transport, be that a broom, Apparition, on a dragon’s back or any other. Being such a famous wizard like you will surely become, you can pick and the choose. wink.gif

**********

GabRa,
it is my pleasure to announce that as of now you’ve become Hogwarts’ librarian in the Restricted Section of the library. I am highly convinced that Madam Pince will love to see a helping hand. With more and more students taking school seriously and spending majority of their time in the library, she simply cannot be in a million places all over the library at once. So it will be nice when you share the responsibilities – she as the librarian in the main section of the library and you as the one guarding the Restricted one. Seeing how you find the atmosphere of 12, Grimmauld Place appealing, I think you will enjoy yourself in this part of the library. While there, you will be able to read, learn much and examine everything to your heart’s content. And don’t worry, being a librarian doesn’t involve much activity, so your claimed laziness will not hinder you at all.

Don’t forget to take a rest some time and visit Hogsmeade, seeing how much you are looking forward to it. It would be a shame to waste such a great opportunity. wink.gif

PS: Don’t worry about admiring the Dark Lord. I think you are perfectly right that he really did great things and his skills were just enormous.

**********

Stacey,
Ambrosius Flume and his wife have been complaining lately about the great number of Hogwarts students who to come visit their shop on the regular tours to Hogsmeade and decided to hire a help. It is my pleasure to announce that from all the eager applicants the Flumes have chosen you as the new shop assistant at Honeydukes Sweetshop. With your love both Hogwarts and Hogsmeade I am convinced there is no better place for you to be than in this shop specialized in candy. What’s more, Mr. Flume will never mind if you are a bit dreamy from time to time. Your personality will only add another element to the already unforgettable atmosphere of the place.

I can guarantee that you will enjoy a lot of fun both with the owners and with the students when they come. And if you miss Hogwarts too much, just don’t worry. Go to the cellar of the shop where you can find a secret passage leading to Hogwarts.

Enjoy the job and candies. wink.gif

**********

swknight69,
I am more than happy to announce that Hogwarts students have finally got their new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Seeing your interest in the Dark Arts I am much convinced that you will last in the position longer than any of your predecessors. It’s simply perfect that you consider yourself hardworking. Teacher’s post doesn’t require anything more than that. So please, don’t become discouraged by the number of essays and term papers to grade. In the end, you will see that teaching is fun, particularly the practical sessions of DADA, unless you decide to follow the theoretical teaching methods of Dolores Umbridge, which, I would say, is out of question with you, isn’t it? wink.gif

Enjoy the classes and particularly Hogwarts where you are going to spend majority of your time now. And please while at Hogwarts, could you give my warmest hugs to Severus’s portrait in the Headmaster’s office? smile.gif

**********

Thank you all for taking the quiz and for your nice answers. I really enjoy reading them. I hope you like the jobs assigned and if you feel like it, I’d love to hear about your reactions to them. So, please should you have any comments or questions, just send me an owl/PM and I will get back to you.

And good news for those unsorted yet. I will be back with your jobs in a day or two. Just stay on the lookout and thank you for your patience. smile.gif

Here we go again! Brand new jobs for all those yet unemployed witches and wizards. smile.gif

james_aus,
Ministry of Magic, Department of Magical Transportation on level six, would like to warmly welcome their new employee. Seeing your passion for flying, the Ministry decided to hire you as an official at the Broom Regulatory Control. In the words of Barty Crouch, your task is simple. You will be one of those who oversee the whole broom industry and issue regulations concerning speed limits, numbers of twigs in the brooms’ tails, or the force of their breaking charms. Such a job might sound a bit tedious, but do not let yourself be disappointed prematurely. Majority of your working time will be devoted to the practical side of broom industry, that is testing (read flying) the brooms. Every new series of brooms must be tested thoroughly before it is granted the permission to be manufactured and sold to the wizarding public. I am convinced your crave for flying will be assuaged in this way.

I wish you a clear sky, faultless brooms and as little paper work as possible. wink.gif

**********

Nevilesmylife,
reading you application, I was wondering for a while, where there are places in the wizarding world with, let me quote, really cool animals. And then it struck me! Of course. The Forbidden Forest! And I’ve heard Hagrid just recently complaining that with all his teaching activities he is forced to neglect his duties of a keeper, which naturally he hates doing. He will be thrilled when I tell him that I’ve found a new Keeper of the Forbidden Forest Game. I would say that the animals are cool enough to attract your interest and there is such a variety of them, that you can take care and explore them for ages.

Once at Hogwarts, you can always go for a little exploration trip to Hogsmeade, seeing how much you like cozy little wizarding villages.

Enjoy the animals and give my best regards to Hagrid.

**********

MISIA,
I hope you like Professor Snape because it is my pleasure to announce that you have just become a member of the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers. As you surely know, he is one of the most prominent members of the society, or so I was told. I’m most convinced your love of what Muggles call chemistry, or we wizards potions, will flourish while being a part of this organization. Your job will be to explore, invent, improve – well in other words, play with – all kinds of potions.

I wish you the best of luck with both potions and being around Professor Snape. Honestly, I would change the job with you immediately. wink.gif

**********

marieexox3,
rarely has been assigning a job easier than with you. Seeing how kind, sweet and nice you can be, this furthermore combined with your desire to take care of people, it is only natural to send you to St. Mungo’s as a Healer on the 4th floor, where spell damage is treated. It is regarded the saddest floor of the whole hospital, where the most serious cases are cured, but I am much convinced that you will be the fresh air the ward is needing. Your smiles and sweet nature will certainly make the patients’ lives much more bearable.

Good luck with the healing and when Neville comes to see his poor parents, please give my best regards to him.

**********

Thank you all for taking the quiz and for your nice answers. You are fantastic! I hope you are satisfied with your occupations. If you feel like it, let me know via owl/PM. I like reading about the witches’ and wizards’ reactions to their new jobs. wink.gif

1. I was sorted into Ravenclaw House.

2. My favorite muggle subject is history. Learning about the past makes me understand the present and prepare for the future.

3. Defense Against the Dark Arts is my favorite wizarding subject. Mostly because it extends more knowledge of the magical world, and like history in the muggle world, helps me understand and prepare for present and future events.

4. My positive traits is my love of knowledge and learning and sharing that knowledge. I am very flexible in what I do. I love to finish the job I started.

5. I am most like Dumbledore in my quest to figure things out and plan my next move. I love researching and finding out things to make the bigger picture more clear.

6. I admire Dumbledore the most because he was able to figure things out before they happened and allowed others to learn things without giving the direct answers, but to gently "guide" them along the way.

7. I love to write and wish I could publish books I write in the muggle world.

8. If I received a letter regarding activity in the wizarding world I would most and least like, I do not honestly have a preference. I think most jobs would be exciting in their own way.

9. I am good at cooking, organizing, figuring things out logically, [like puzzles and riddles], I am bad at making repairs.

10. Writing books would be my dream muggle job.

11. I would like to hear that I could have a choice in my career path of at least 2 different areas, so I could choose.

12. My favorite place in the wizarding world would be Hogwarts. I don't have a least favorite place to be honest. Each place in the wizarding world is fascinating to me.

13. My least favorite moment in the series was Dobby dying. My favorite was Harry facing off with the snake [Malfoy], created and speaking parsel tongue.

14. I am female.

15. I am a people person, I am a good listener, and I am observant.

Dear wizarding job applicants, here we go with another round of job assignments! magic.gif

RebelRoosGirl,
Hogwarts is more than proud to welcome their new Defense against the Dark Arts Teacher. As we all know, your predecessors didn’t last that long in the position, but I sincerely hope that you will make a difference. It’s only natural that with the second war finally over, things will get more settled and even the DADA teachers will not change as often as they did in the past. Speaking of the war with the Dark Lord, it can be argued that once he is defeated there is not need for teaching the protection against the Dark Arts any more. That would be a serious mistake, though. The evil will never disappear from the world and it is still more than highly necessary that Hogwarts students are able to protect themselves and others when need be.

Seeing your determination, you will make an excellent teacher. Once at Hogwarts, you can enjoy the place to your heart’s content. And who knows, from time to time you can even take part in the regular Quidditch practice, seeing how much you are looking forward to it.

Good luck. wink.gif

veritaserum12,
Spells Ltd. are happy to announce that they’ve hired their new Spells Mistress, or Spells Inventor, if you will. When they read in your application how much you are fond of discovering new things, wand work and spells in general, they knew immediately that you were the person they’d been looking for. Your job will basically consist in inventing new spells which can be later sold at the spells market. With Christmas rapidly approaching, there has been an increased demand for cleaning and wrapping spells. The desires and wishes of the wizarding public keep changing constantly, though, and thus I am sure you will be rather busy all the time. I am very much convinced that your creative talents are the best prerequisite for the job and that you will enjoy a lot of fun with your co-workers in the process of inventing.

I wish you the best of luck and as little experiments accompanied by accidents as possible. wink.gif

PS: I appreciate very much your honest answers. And I can perfectly understand why you like the Killing Curse. In a way, it is fascinating. And don’t worry, you haven’t taken the quiz before. At least not with me.

**********

Selene304,
everyone thinks that Hogwarts: A History is the best book to learn the facts about the ancient school of witchcraft and wizardry. Well, in the past it definitely used to be. But not any more, particularly not after the battle of Hogwarts when so many things changed in the castle. Reading how much you love knowledge, sharing it and researching new things and facts, it is only natural for you to become the author of Hogwarts: A History, 2nd edition. I am much convinced that the book will become a bestseller as witches and wizards are eager to know how the school has changed and what its place in the new, post-Voldemort, world is.

I hope you will enjoy Hogwarts to your heart’s content, seeing how much you like the place.

**********

spencer lovette <3,
hurray, hurray, The Weird Sisters would like to welcome their new lead singer! When they saw your job application and how much you are fond of various kinds of performing they couldn’t do otherwise but hire you. And I agree with their decision wholeheartedly. Reading about your talents, I am pretty sure you will make an excellent member of this popular group. I’m also convinced that one of your dreams, particularly the one of traveling the world, will come true quicker than you thought. I’ve heard the group is about to set off on a tour through the wizarding Europe with their final destination actually at Hogwarts. I’m confident you will simply love it.

I wish you a clear voice and great audience. Good luck!

ollie-hampson,
the Ministry of Magic kindly welcomes their yet another employee. You’ve just become their new specialist at Apparition Test Center. Your office is located with the Department of Magical Transpiration on the level six of the Ministry. Don’t worry, you won’t end up, let me quote your application, in the normal working routine. Your job will consists in teaching Apparition at Hogwarts and supervising the Apparition examinations there, but also and mostly in helping those who are not fully able to grasp the techniques of this subtle art. In other words, you will be the person the students, but sometimes even adult witches and wizards, will turn to when they experience any problems with this particular means of transport. You wouldn’t believe how many witches and wizards are still having difficulties Apparating. I’m highly convinced that once you teach the wizards to Apparate properly, you will surely receive an adequate amount of recognition from them.

Good luck, and remember, Destination, Determination, Deliberation. wink.gif

**********

Shadeslayer,
although the Ministry of Magic might sound boring to you and you seem to consider yourself inappropriate to perform any job there, actually, that’s exactly the place I will send you to on your new job assignment. You’ve just become a member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad. And believe me, it is not an ordinary ministry job of sitting behind a desk in heaps and heaps of parchment work. Though your office is with the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes on the level three of the Ministry, I can assure you, you are not going to spend too much time there or indoors generally. For the majority of time, you will be rushing to and fro through the whole of wizarding England, reversing the magic which shouldn’t have been performed but was by clumsy wizards. I’m sure you will enjoy a lot of fun with your colleagues. And once you are finished with your daily portion of catastrophes, you can engage in a duel or two with your colleagues, as I’ve heard that’s one of the favorite pastimes of the Squad.

My warmest congratulations!

**********

Thank you all for taking the quiz and for your nice and honest answers. I hope you like your new occupations. Should you have any concerns or if you like to tell me about your reactions to the jobs, please, do so via owl/PM.

Enjoy your jobs! smile.gif

Potions Mistress
Hurray, the eagerly expected wizarding job assignments are here! magic.gif

LaNoviaDeErik,
I know you state quite clearly your dislike of the Ministry of Magic, and yet this is exactly the place I am sending you to on your new job assignment. In particular, tomorrow you are to report at the Ministry’s level four, Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, as their new member of the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau. Don’t you worry, the job is not as tedious or boring as it sounds. Actually, you are not going to spend much time at the Ministry itself, as your job will mainly consist in researching dragons in Egypt. Yes Egypt, believe it or not! The Ministry is preparing a new publication on dragons in which they are intending to elaborate on Hagrid’s motto, that dragons are really only seriously misunderstood creatures. Your task will involve work with the creatures themselves, with which Charlie Weasley should help if need be, and then also a lot of research of old Egyptian scriptures on possible mentions of dragons in them.

Seeing that you like flying, well, some of the dragons might be tame enough for you to test them.

Enjoy the job and I sincerely hope your allergy applies only to plants, not creatures, as the Ministry wouldn’t like to lose such a good prospective employee.

PS: Thank you for praising the test. I’m glad you like it. wink.gif

Nymphadora_Lupin,
students, teachers and parents alike have been complaining recently about the poor quality of Hogwarts spell books. One such a books is The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection. It’s a hot candidate for its second edition, of which you’ve just become the author. Reading about your passion for writing, I think the Hogwarts’ Headmaster couldn’t have chosen a better person for this job. The main problem with the old spell book is that it does not include any forms of dark magic performed in the foreign countries. So, apart from writing the second edition in the end, your job will mainly consist in researching the dark arts and any possible protection against them abroad, so that you will be able to include such information in the book's new version.

I am much convinced the occupation will satisfy both your craving for writing and traveling and seeing the world.

Pack your quill, rolls and rolls of parchment and off you go researching and writing. smile.gif

**********

rusynchick,
I am more than happy to announce that you’ve been appointed St. Mungo’s Healer on 3rd floor, where potion and plant poisoning is treated. I’m aware of the fact that you are not particularly fond of Potions classes, but then on the other hand, your love of plants and Herbology is extensive and so I think your talents, skills and patient nature will flourish at this very floor. You will encounter a great number of opportunities to help your fellow witches and wizards feel better.

I also know that you would like to be a Hogwarts Hospital Wing matron, but reading that you prefer calm environments, I’m sure St. Mungo’s is better in this respect. Just imagine, being in the Hospital Wing and having to take care of the students so accident prone like the Trio used to be. This wouldn’t make the environment any calm for you. wink.gif

PS: I hope your health condition is not too serious and you are making it fine.

Thank you all for taking the quiz and for your nice answers. If you want to let me know about your reactions to your new occupations, which I love reading by the way, please do so via owl/PM. Thank you. smile.gif

Hey, hey! Here come the newly employed witches and wizards! magic.gif

As there are so many of you this time, I’ve sorted only the first five applicants today. Please, don’t lose hope, I will be back with the rest in a day or two.

And now on with the fun. smile.gif

xxhermionexx, seeing how much you love working with kids, you will make an excellent Charms Professor at Hogwarts. I think while at Hogwarts, you will be able to visit the library to your heart’s content, just beware of spiders there. And never worry about being a little bossy. I guess with the students it will become a necessity one time or another anyway. wink.gif

PS: More on a personal note, I too play the cello. Good luck with it. smile.gif

**********

Naley, I would say that the best occupation for you is with the Ministry of Magic, particularly as an official at the Improper Use of Magic Office, at the level two of the Ministry – Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I’m positive you will get plenty of mystery solving there. I was told that sometimes it is a mystery even to the wizards who performed the improper magic as for why and how they did it.

Good luck!

**********

loveSeverus, reading about your interests in what Muggles call law, you will make a perfect Wizengamot member at the Ministry’s Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Its members have to visit Hogwarts from time to time and thus you are obviously going to have a chance of seeing Professor Snape’s dungeons, if not, sadly though, him in person any more.

**********

winky456, though there are no kangaroos or cats at the Magical Menagerie in Diagon Alley, I believe being a shop assistant at this particular place will satisfy your craving for working with animals and the like creatures. And who knows, maybe one day you will get promoted and will become the owner of the shop. I’m sure you will enjoy plenty of fun there, particularly when the Hogwarts first years will come to buy their very first pets.

**********

kylepn, it’s perfect that you love reading, for a good teacher has to read a lot in her life. And that’s what you’ve just become, Transfiguration Teacher at Hogwarts. Reading how much you like the subject, I’m convinced you will make an excellent teacher who is able to pass her knowledge onto the students.

Good luck with the young witches and wizards and enjoy Hogwarts!

**********

Thank you all for taking the quiz, for your nice answers, and mainly for your immense patience. I apologize it took me so long to get to sorting this time, but the life outside VTM can get very busy sometimes, particularly with Christmas approaching.

As the sorting was rather quick today, without much ado or explanations, please, feel free to contact me via owl/PM if you want to ask why exactly you were given a certain job and not any other. I will get back to you. Promise. smile.gif

And one more thing, please leave all of your comments, questions or reactions out of this thread. Should you want to discuss any of these, just contact me through PM. Thanks.

Till next sorting.

~Jana

magic.gif Hurray, hurray! Another round of sorting is here! magic.gif

EDIT: As no one has taken the quiz since my last post yesterday, I’m posting the remaining sorting results in this “edit” way, for I don’t want to disobey the rules, double posting right after myself.

Thank you all for your immense patience! I’m sure you know that the pre-Christmas time can be at times a stressful period in the life of a poor Muggle who doesn’t have magic at her disposal. Thanks again, you are great! smile.gif

Nixe, seeing how open-minded and accepting you are towards other cultures and customs, I’m more than convinced that you will do much good as an official at the Werewolf Support Services. Like we all know, werewolves definitely need someone who understands them and who sees them as different from, yet equal to, other wizards. Also werewolves need a help in a gradual incorporation into the wizarding society. I’m positive your confidence will assist you in dealing with this tender issue.

**********

The Master of Death, I’m well aware of the fact that you don’t like the Ministry of Magic, yet, it is exactly the place I’m sending you to on your new job assignment. But never worry, you are not going to spend much time at the Ministry. Being a member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad, the majority of your working time you will be outdoors, dealing with dangerous or deranged witches and wizards. I’m sure your interests in and knowledge of the Defense against the Dark Arts will come in more than handy at this kind of job.

**********

lancelot243, taking into consideration your interests in sport and flying, there is no other occupation more suitable for you than being a captain of the English National Quidditch Team. Though the team was not successful in the last World Cup, I’m more than convinced that with you as their captain, they will go from victory to victory in the upcoming tournaments.

**********

Jbock, believe it or not but you too have been assigned a job with the Ministry of Magic. Particularly, with its Department of Magical Law Enforcement on the level two of the Ministry, as yet another member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad. Reading about your interest in what Muggles call military career and also seeing your sports skills, you will make an excellent wizard dealing with those breaking the wizarding law. I’m more than sure that performing this job, you will enjoy dueling to your heart’s content. wink.gif

**********

Harry'sSister100, even from the little information you’ve provided in your wizarding job application I’m sure that being a robe designer at Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions will suit you perfectly. I hope you enjoy a lot of fun at Diagon Alley and I’m positive that your creative skills will simply flourish while designing robes for Madam Malkin's famous shop.

**********

Jenzy Black, learning about your personal traits of being rude and sarcastic at times, I think the best occupation for you is as a Hogwarts librarian. Madam Pince has resigned recently, explaining her move that she’d been more than tired by guarding the books from the Hogwarts know-it-alls. In future, if you want to take a break from protecting the precious books or telling the students off, you can always indulge in reading through the shelves and shelves of books and learn thus more about the history of the wizarding world.

**********

Lord Torment, when I combine your fascination with the Dark Arts and your bravery and sports skills, I am more than happy to announce that you really will make an excellent Auror. Congratulations on that! I’m convinced you will become a fierce fighter for the good cause in the wizarding world and a protector of those threatened by the Dark magic.

**********

Sorry guys to keep you waiting for so long. At least I hope your jobs make up for the long wait and you are happy with them. If you feel like, you can always let me know in an owl/PM. Otherwise, please leave all your comment or questions out of this thread. Thank you.

Good luck with your jobs! wink.gif

Yay! Another witch with her own job in the wizarding world. Welcome to the latest round of sorting, Luna♥Lover! magic.gif

The Hogwarts Headmaster will love to hear that I’ve found him a new Arithmancy Professor. My sincere congratulations! One of the reasons that predestines you for this position is your interest in what Muggles call mathematics. I also hope that you can extend your love of little kids to those slightly older, as we all know your students will be at least eleven year olds, and as a teacher you will have a plenty of dealings with them. In addition, I’m happy reading that one of your favorite places is Hogwarts – while being a teacher there you will have an immense number of opportunities to explore the fabulous castle.

Enjoy your new occupation and Hogwarts and please, while there, give my hugs to the portrait of Severus Snape. Thank you. wink.gif

Envious - Lazy - Easily annoyed when there's something I can't do right

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I think I'm like a mixture of Hermione and Ginny. I'm very serious about school like Hermione is, but not as serious as her. And I enjoy sports like Ginny, and I have her fierce temper. Another character we haven't heard much about whom I resemble would be Lily Evans, because she likes potions and is very good at it, and at the same time serious about her work.

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire many of the characters but I think Severus Snape tops the list right now. He was able to act as a double agent without breaking down, and he did just as Dumbledore's words to Harry said: To keep on fighting.

7. What are your ambitions and dreams about your future life in the Muggle world?
I really hope to get a job which I love, and just being able to get up in the morning without hating the fact that I'm going to work. I would very much love to get a nice house with lots of animals around me, and of course find Mr. Right. If I were to become a scientist I would like to discover something which would make a difference in the world. For example a cure for a disease.

8. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I'd be looking forward to classes most. I don't know what I would be looking forward to least, but I think I'd be concerned if I was good enough since I'm muggle-born. That would most likely concern me.

9. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.)
I'm good at skiing, horseback riding, writing and chemistry.
I'm bad at setting christmas lights on the trees (season related tongue.gif)

10. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
Okay, so actually I really wanted to become a professional skier or an engineer in Formula One racing, but seing as that's totally unlikely to happen, I'd like to be a scientist. Again my passion for chemistry means that this job attracts me.

11. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
Options on a career regarding working with potions.
Auror Training.
Healing.

12. What is your most and least favorite place in the whole of wizarding world?
Most favorite: Hogwarts and The Ministry
Least favorite: The Forbidden Forest

13. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
Most favorite: When Harry gets to see Snape's memories in the Pensieve in DH and Potions Classes with Slughorn (and probably other things I'll remember just after I post tongue.gif)
Least favorite: The Cave and Dumbledore's Death

14. Are you male or female? (Feel free to skip this one if you are in any way uncomfortable with it.)
Female
Potions Mistress
Welcome to the wizarding job quiz, Regitze and my warm congratulations on your new job!

Reading about your interests in what Muggles call Chemistry, and what we as witches and wizards would refer to as Potions, I’m sure you will make an excellent member of the Most Extraordinary Society and Potioneers. Being a member, you will have a great number of opportunities to meet your fellow Potioneers, Professor Slughorn included, discuss various kinds of potions and their usage with them, and also to engage yourself in research leading to a discovery of new potions. And who knows, one day you may even discover a potion blocking the effects of the Unforgivables or any other dangerous or deadly spells.

Enjoy being a scientist in the wizarding world! wink.gif

1. Which house have you been / do you think you would be sorted into?
Ravenclaw (I took the quiz). But I have always been torn between that and Gryffindor

2. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
Science and Math, mostly. I love solving questions and figuring things out. I also really like English class because I love creative writing

3. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
Probably charms or transfiguration...they are very useful and seem like fun, which is a bonus! I might like DADA except that it would probably scare me a bit, depending how intense the teacher is about dark wizards sneaking up on me...

4. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
Intelligent--Get along well with people--Kind
Envious sometimes--"Nerd"---Perfectionist

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I am probably most like Hermione, because I am top in my school, serious about good grades, and am sometimes considered a nerd or a know it all. I am slightly also like Luna: I am off in my own world and very creative, and Lily: sensitive, capable
I am a little like Ginny but only in that I have red hair and a bit of a stubborn spirit

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
Probably Harry because he has had to do so much, and yet he never broke down under pressure. I know this answer is probably not very creative, but really, we've seen all the things he had to go through...I think that he was just a really uncommon, strong, brave, loyal, et cetera et cetera, person.

7. What are your ambitions and dreams about your future life in the Muggle world?
I hope to finish school with high grades, maybe as valedictorian, get into the college I want maybe with a scholarship, and become a doctor--a medical scientist to be exact.

8. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I would be looking forwards to classes and just doing magic in general...I would absolutely love that. Close second is quiddich--it seems exactly like my kind of sport if I can make the team as Seeker. Least--this is hard because I would be so overjoyed that I can't think of anything bad. Maybe history of magic, or essays for homework.

9. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.)
I am good at playing the piano and flute, drawing and writing, and dancing
I am bad at using hammers, and being patient for long amounts of time

10. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
A doctor--a medical scientist. I want to help people and I want to find out new things in science that can help the world.

11. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
Healer is a strong possibility
A teacher at hogwarts in charms or transfiguration maybe

Most favorite: Hogwarts
Least favorite: The Forbidden Forest

13. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.

Least favorite: Maybe the snatchers in the beginning of one chapter, or maybe letting Peter escape in PoA

14. Are you male or female? (Feel free to skip this one if you are in any way uncomfortable with it.)

Welcome to the quiz, 17ginny17, and let me congratulate you on your new wizarding occupation! magic.gif

I hope you like hearing that I’ve found you a job in St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. It is the place where, as a third floor Healer (Potion and Plant Poisoning), you will have a great number of opportunities to help the poor witches and wizards. You are assigned the job on this particular floor, among others, because of your interest in science and research. While not engaging yourself in healing, you will have many chances to explore the realm of poisoning potions and plants and discover or invent antidotes for them. This will surely help in the wizarding world and many witches and wizards will be grateful to you. Also, it is as close to what the Muggles call science as possible.

PS: I don’t see any problem with your supposedly not very creative answer to the question number six. It’s completely understandable that you feel about Harry the way you do. He is indeed worth admiring.

Thanks for taking the quiz and should you have any questions about the job, just send me an owl/PM. wink.gif

Welcome to yet another round of sorting, Mle! magic.gif

Though the job I'm giving you might sound a bit strange for you at the beginning, I’m convinced you will like it and find it enjoyable in the end. You know what the Hogwarts castle looks like on the inside - old and sometimes shabby paintings, grey dusty walls, unidentifiable color of the staircases and the like and the like. I would say that the place deserves a bit of fresh air as far as the things such as wall decorations or colors go. Learning about your interests in what the Muggles call interior design and also seeing how creative you are, I decided to give you the job of a head redecorator for the Hogwarts castle. The job is not tedious at all. Quite on the contrary, you will be kept busy being creative all the time, and considering your love of Hogwarts you should enjoy the occupation all the more. Last but not least, I like hearing that you find charms intriguing, for this is the kind of magic you will be most probably using very often.

Thank you for taking the quiz and enjoy the occupation. I hope you like it! wink.gif

Should you have any questions or comments, just send me an owl/PM, please.

Welcome to the wizarding job quiz, gryffindorgirlie! magic.gif

It is my pleasure to inform you that you’ve been hired as an official with the Animagus Registrary Office with the Ministry of Magic. Reading about your immense interest in the wizarding ability to transform from a human to the animal form simply predestines you for this occupation.

Your job will mainly consist in supervising the training of the particular Animagi and then keeping the record of their existence in the society. Seeing how bossy you can be at times, I don’t think you will have any problem also dealing with any unregistered Animagi that of course occur from to time.

Also, reading about your ambitions, I’m more than convinced that one day or another you will get promoted and who knows, one day you may start thinking about the position of the Minister himself.

Enjoy your job and should you have any questions, just send me an owl/PM. wink.gif

PS: Thank you for taking the quiz. I cannot tell you if you’ve taken it before, because you haven’t done so with me as a coordinator.

Welcome to the wizarding job sorting, ladies! magic.gif

nettle, I would say that one of the best occupations for you in the whole of magical world is that of being a Keeper of Keys and Games at Hogwarts. Reading about your fascination with the Forbidden Forest I hope you will enjoy the job. Also, I’m glad that you like learning because Hogwarts is literally a treasury of knowledge and once you've done with your keeping duties, you will have a plenty of time to spend in the library, reading through the piles and piles of books there.

To be honest with you, I envy you the post a lot, as you are going to be in the vicinity of Severus’s portrait in the Headmaster’s office. Please, once there, give him my huge hugs, will you? Thank you. wink.gif

**********

MoonLight, although you consider your urge to hit people as a negative trait, I think it will come in mighty handy while performing the assigned job – that of a member of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad. This, plus your interest in the Defense against the Dark Arts, simply predestines you to work at the Ministry’s level two with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. I’m also convinced that while on the Ministry’s tasks, you will get plenty of opportunities to fly a broom.

Enjoy the job and good luck! wink.gif

They were thrilled at the Ministry when they heard about your interest in Apparition. The last wizard who was in charge of the job, unfortunately got splinched into several pieces and he prefers to stay in St. Mungo’s than at the Ministry now. Thus, it is my great pleasure to announce that you’ve become the new official at Apparition Test Center at the level six of the Ministry with the Department of Magical Transportation.

I’m more than convinced that you will be excellent teaching the Hogwarts students Apparate, supervise their exams and help anyone who still needs assistance with this rather difficult means of magical transport.

Good luck and remember, Destination, Determination, Deliberation. wink.gif

1. Which house have you been / do you think you would be sorted into? Hufflepuff

2. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why? Music. It was one of the few subjects where I could relax and be myself. I play clarinet/bass clarinet and sing.

4. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
Positive: good listener, loyal , open minded
Negative: naive, short tempered, prone to depression

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.) I'm probably more like Mrs. Weasley. I worry about my family and try to keep up the house. lol I'm a housewife w/o kids. I've been caregiver for my mom (dec.) and my eldest sister.

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.) I actually admire Severus Snape. I don't like that he transferred is loathing of James Potter onto Harry, it was unjustified. I can see, though, that he had his own brand of loyalty. He is one of the reason Draco survived. He could have refused Narcissa's plea. He actually did what he could to protect both boys.

7. What are your ambitions and dreams about your future life in the Muggle world? Well, right now I'm hoping to be offered permanent full-time at my current job. I am in customer service answering telephones and processing web orders.

As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.) I'm lousy at public speaking. Standing in front of a crowd makes me nauseous.

I'm good at relating to people over the phone. I do very well in getting irate customers to calm down.

10. What is your Muggle dream job and why? My dream job is being able to make beaded jewelry to sell online. It would be great to earn a living doing something fun.

12. What is your most and least favorite place in the whole of wizarding world? I'd like Diagon Alley just fine. I love to shop! I wouldn't like Knockturn Alley very well, though. Too spooky. I'd like Hogwarts, as well.

13. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books. Favorite is hard to pin down. In the movies, I loved it when Hermoine punched Draco in the nose. That was a stellar moment imo. Oh, yes.....the duel between Molly Weasley and Bellatrix Lestrange.

I hated the death the one Weasley twin and the injury of the other. Both made me cry. There was also a death of one of the younger kids. I can't remember his name, I think he was a Creevy. He was suppose to have evacuated the school. That made me cry too.

14. Are you male or female? (Feel free to skip this one if you are in any way uncomfortable with it.) Female

15. Is there anything else, I haven't covered, but you would like to tell us about yourself? Please, do so now. Can't think of anything.
