1. Which house have you been / do you think you would be sorted into?
HUfflepuff.

2. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
English because I love to read and write.

3. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
I would say it would tie between DADA because learning how to defend yourself and knowing what can harm you is really important for your survival, and also Potions because they are worth knowing and come in handy. I'm also a science person and Potions remind me of chemistry.

4. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
Positive: decisive, smart, determined.
Negative: stubborn, hot-tempered, thick-headed .

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I'm very loyal and determined like Harry, and also protective of those things/people/ideas that are important to me.

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Fred and George, because no matter what happens, or what the situation is, they see the brighter side and use their humor as a way to get through it all.

My ambitions and dreams are to go pre-Med and become a doctor to help others.

8. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I would be eager to ride a broom and apparate, and also eager to start spellcasting. I would want to know as much as possible. Least probably having to restrain from magic at home.

9. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.)
I'm athletic, a good writer, good priorities, and I'm loyal and have good judgement. I'm horrible at math and physics, I have a bad temper and sometimes I have trouble controlling it.

10. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
Previously mentioned, doctor or a writer.

11. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
Maybe an Auror or Healer, teacher or even someone from MoM.

Favorite, Hogwart's castle. Least Favorite, Great Hangleton Graveyard, where Tom Riddle is buried.

13. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
Favorite, tie between when Harry finds out the truth through Snape's memory, or when Dumbledore explains it in King's Cross and we find out Harry isn't dying. Least, When Sirius dies.

14. Are you male or female? (Feel free to skip this one if you are in any way uncomfortable with it.)

Potions Mistress
A huge welcome to all to another round of job assignments! magic.gif

juliadee, reading about how much you like the Hogwarts castle and also about your desire to help those around you, I don’t think there’s a better job for you than that of the Hospital Wing Matron. My congratulations! Being a matron, or a healer if you will, should satisfy your helpful nature. We all know that the hospital wing is never empty with so many students around, performing pranks or simply being clumsy. I’m positive the students will much appreciate your healing spells and potions. Your interest in Potions in particular will come in much handy, as the Potions Master won’t have always time to brew all of them for you.

Good luck and I wish you as few clumsy students as possible. smile.gif

**********

mrs.harrypotter, we all know what damage has been done to the Hogwarts students with all the changes of their DADA teachers every year. And even more so, with the constant changes of their spellbooks. “Enough of it,” said the current Headmaster and he went on, “we need a new spellbook, which is students-friendly, offers the required information and, most importantly, students love learning from it.” I’m positive that in you, the Headmaster has found the writer he’s been looking for. Reading about your interest in DADA, about your love of writing and better yet about your desire to write books for young readers, you’re going to do great as the author of Everymen’s Defenses: A-Z of Defensive Spells with Little Anecdotes and Practical Illustrations. My congratulations! Seeing the character of your work, I have a hunch you’re going to spend a lot of your time at Hogwarts. I hope you enjoy it. wink.gif

**********

harrypotterlover1024, I hope you are ready for an artistic career, as you've just become Weird Sisters lead singer. My congratulations! The current lead singer decided to take some time off, claiming that his voice isn’t what it used to be any more. There’s a life of traveling throughout the country ahead of you. I’m more than convinced that you will enjoy even some time at Hogwarts, because all kinds of balls are no exception there and Weird Sisters have always been the highlight of the evening.

I wish you the voice that is clear and retains its singing qualities forever!

PS: And you’re not stupid, sweetie! You don’t seem so, either. wink.gif

gEoRgIa, the Hogwarts Headmaster decided that it was high time the Castle underwent some changes and that it would be nice if the place started to show some signs of modernity. Yes, we all know that the castle is centuries and centuries old, and that the moving staircase is really cool, but we also know that the place can really do with some modernization. Reading about your interest in architecture and traveling the world, the Headmaster has offer you the job of the Chief Hogwarts Designer. To accept it is only up to you, but I think it could be fun and also it should meet your interests and desires. What the Headmaster wants from you is to travel to some foreign countries on research trips. You know, just to study the architecture which is over there, so to speak. And then to come back and project the necessary innovations of the Castle. No one wants to make a modern building from Hogwarts, but some touches of modernity would be nice here and there. I’m positive you’ll do great in this job! wink.gif

Thank you all for your nice answers. I hope you are happy with your jobs and positions. Should you have any questions, comments or concerns about them, just send me an Owl (PM) and I will get back to you. smile.gif

1. Which house have you been / do you think you would be sorted into?
I've been sorted into Gryffindor

2. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
Anything that has to do with logic or how things work - I have to know WHY something does what it does; I can't take things at face value. For instance, in math, I can't just do calculus or trigonometry or algebra by following the formulas, I have to know WHY the formulas work. I like knowing how things work and why.

3. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
DADA when Harry taught it, because he explained why/how certain spells worked; I'd also like transfiguration and charms, because I think you have to really understand a spell to do it properly.

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
Ginny because she is studious, athletic, loyal, gets along with most everyone, stands up for what she believes in, takes risks

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Moody b/c he tells it like it is, is well versed in all things magic (potions, spells, charms, DADA), takes risks and takes care of his own.

7. What are your ambitions and dreams about your future life in the Muggle world?
Get my boys into school (grade school) and then go back to school on my own to learn either car mechanics or carpentry/electric/plumbing and open a business that caters to women - either a garage where women can feel comfortable bringing their car and trust that they aren't getting ripped-off, probably hiring mostly women mechanics or to start a handy-woman business with mostly women employees to do carpentry (decks, remodeling), electricity, or plumbing. I have a BS in Business Management and would like to put that to use with a more hands-on kind of job.

8. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
most - all things magical, especially appartating, transfiguration
least - divination - too much speculation, too subjective; plus, who wants to know the future?

9. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.)
Good - envisioning things - coming up with ideas; but I'm not good at following through because I get frustrated - I want to do everything perfectly AND do it all at once. if I can't do it right then i don't want to do it at all. However, once I get into a project (spring cleaning, landscaping, re-arranging a room) and can do it WITHOUT interruption, it's a darn good finished project!

Most favorite - anytime Harry et al overcome the "bad guys"... whether it's standing up to Malfoy or Umbridge, defeating Voldemort and the Death Eaters, getting away from the acromantualas, etc.
least favorite - whenever the trio would fight since it was usually due to them not taking the time to find out what was really wrong or to listen to the others.

Thank you, guys, for your immense patience. I know that I'm behind posting your job assignments, but Muggle life has sometimes an unpleasant habit of getting into the way of my Magical one. I would like to ask you for a little patience still, as I will be able to post your results only on Moday. Thank you. You are great!

2. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
Physics and Literature, both are extremely interesting at the moment. For Physics, it's a branch of science that doesn't include so much of the nitty-gritty details of atoms etc. And our Lit class is pretty cool tongue.gif

3. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
DADA, because the practical side of it would be heaps of fun plus you can use all sorts of other kinds of magic (charms, transifuration and potions) in defending yourself - not only jinxes and hexes etc.

4. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
3 positive traits: intelligence, never let others' opinions get in the way, try to stay positive
3 negative traits: lazy, easily distracted, excessive procrastination

5. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
Probably Dumbledore, because I'm a quiet person generally and I don't like to be too much of a leader, as Dumbledore didn't want to be MoM and I enjoy teaching others.

6. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Luna because she remains so calm and positive and doesn't let anything stand in her way. plus she's a fiercely loyal friend.

7. What are your ambitions and dreams about your future life in the Muggle world?
Do well at High School, get into University, study and qualify as a chemical engineer, write and have published at least one book, travel as much as I can afford to, sky-dive and possible bunji-jump, go hang-gliding, learn how to ice-skate and do as much crazy other stuff as possible (you know, all those sorts of things you can do in New Zealand!)

8. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I would be most looking forward to Quidditch, and...I can't think of anything in the magical world that I wouldn't look forward to.

9. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at giving feedback and bad at small house repairs.)
I'm good at maths and science (sort of lol) and I used to be good at athletics (got a silver medal at state once!). I'm not good at ice-skating lol and public-speeking: absolutely not!

10. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
Being a full time author. You would get to be so creative and comfortable and work to (almost all the time) whatever deadlines you want! you can take holidays whenever you want as well!

11. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
That I would need to continue DADA and charms!

12. What is your most and least favorite place in the whole of wizarding world?
Most favourite place: Hogwarts!
Least favourite place: Knockturn Alley (I don't imagine too many fun and games down there)

13. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
Most favourite: When Dumbledore died. Not because I wanted that to happen, not at all, but because it was the only thing that truly shocked me in the books.
Least favourite: That Umbridge didn't die and that Lupin, Tonks, Collin, Fred, Moody and Hedwig did.

14. Are you male or female? (Feel free to skip this one if you are in any way uncomfortable with it.)
Male

15. Is there anything else, I haven't covered, but you would like to tell us about yourself? Please, do so now.
Nope.

Potions Mistress
Please excuse the ridiculously long wait you had to endure without being properly employed in the wizarding world. The quiz coordinator has had some little troubles with her employment in the Muggle world, but I’m back now.

First and foremost, thank you all for your incredible patience with me. I hope the jobs will make up for the wait. wink.gif

Let the job assignments begin! magic.gif

x_Robyn_x, I believe you will like hearing that you’ve just become one of the Hogwarts staffers. Particularly, Madam Hooch has taken her sabbatical and you've been appointed at her place as Hogwarts Quidditch coach and flying instructor. I’m convinced that with your sense of humor and your ability to enjoy each moment of your life, you will be able to make the classes for your students mighty pleasant. And the fact that you’ve become a permanent resident of the famous Castle is a mere icing on the cake, reading about how much you like the place.

I wish you students who do better in their first classes than poor Neville. smile.gif

**********

shameela, I know you like Hogwarts, but I hope that you also like the magical Diagon Alley, because this is, as of now, the place of your wizarding employment. In particular, you’ve just become a shop assistant at Flourish and Blott’s. I’m convinced that your business ambitions will combine with your love of reading and books very nice in this position. Just wait till the customers are gone and you are able to hide behind the shelves and shelves of books, take your pick at them and read and read. smile.gif

**********

Sylwia, I think you will be able to enjoy that place, on Hogwarts grounds, near the lake under the big tree to its full now, as you’ve just become a permanent resident of the fabulous Castle, being appointed the post of the Potions Teacher. My warmest congratulations! Reading about your ability to concentrate and explain, I’m positive you will make an excellent teacher. I also believe that Potions is the right area for your to pursue as this fine art really requires high degree of concentration. Just imagine, three more drops of this, two less pieces of this and oops, you can be on your way to the Hospital Wing. But this is not your case. Reading through your application, I know you will do great!

Good luck in the dungeons.

**********

ChannelingGinny, I believe you will make an excellent Transfiguration Teacher at Hogwarts. You are exactly what the subject has been needing for some time. A person who is able to explain to the students how the spells work and what is need so that the they worked even for the students. I’m more than convinced that with you as the teacher, there will be no more mishaps in the shape of a cup with a rat’s tail. I wish you good luck teaching, and enjoy Hogwarts!

PS: I also wish you good luck, pursuing you dream in the Muggle world. Your answer to question number 7 sounds really great and if your dream came true, it would be perfect!

**********

raisiny, reading about your interest in magical creatures and in helping the needed, I think you are exactly the person the Ministry of Magic has been looking for for a long time now. I daresay they needn’t look for anyone any more. You've been just appointed an official with the Dragon Research and Restrain Bureau with the Department for the Reglation and Control of Magical Creatures on the level four of the Ministry. I’m convinced you will be able to help more than one of those poorly misunderstood creatures. And provided that fact that dragons are interspersed throughout the whole of Europe, you will also enjoy a lot flying when on your researching trips for the Ministry. Last, but definitely not least, even your writing and creative desires will have a chance to flourish, as the Ministry will certainly want some written accounts of your encounters with these magical creatures.

Brace yourself with fire-resistant spells and off to the world you fly!

**********

I apologize to those who haven’t made it to this round of job assignments, but I promise to get back to you with your results as soon as possible and as soon as my Muggle life allows. (This should be within a day or two.)

Thank you all for your nice answers. I hope you are happy with your jobs and positions. Should you have any questions, comments or concerns about them, just send me an Owl (PM) and I will get back to you. smile.gif

Hey all,

Potions Mistress has asked me to close this up for a short time so she can settle into her job. It will be opened in the next week or so. We do not need a new coordinator.

thanks
