Hello again! This is my third fanfiction, and it is a sequel to my second, The Half-Blood Changeling . I fell in love with the character Sean, and I felt like she needed some completion and closure to her story that I just couldn't do with 'Half-Blood Changeling'. The story picks up five years after the Epilogue of 'HBC', and while it is a continuation of the first story - it does have it's differences. I plan to have this fanfic parallel 'HBC' in some ways, but it is a great departure in others. Ugh, I wish I could explain - but that would give it away... To those of you who read 'HBC', thank you so much for your support, and I really hope you enjoy 'The Changeling in Hiding' (I'll explain what the title means... eventually...) Yay! First to review! I love the sequel so far! At first i as like, "Why isnt she saying Harry's name?" So then i was like "Oh well, im sure she has a good reason, maybe to make the new readers anxious!" (lol, sorry if im giving it away if it is that!) But then im like "OMG What if its NEVILE!?!" (and thats kinda ironic if it is because she always joked about that in HBC!) So now i'm super anxious to see who it is! I hope its still Harry though! lol
Anyway, I love how George is married! I cant wait to see the baby!
I love how Sean has blonde hair now also! But i imagine her old color pretty too. (but of course she can change it anytime too) Its also nice shes adopted Teddy!

I am so so so so so so so glad that you are making a sequel. When I got on and saw the message I literally yelled YES!! I thought it was very good, and I love Teddy, you describe him perfectly like a five year old should be. I really liked the chapter. It did a great job of explaining what has been going on for the last five years, and I can't wait to see what will be happening soon!!

I absolutely love the story so far and I can't wait for the next chapter, I was so surprised to find myself sad that Harry wasn't with Sean because I have always been a Harry/Ginny fan and while reading HBC I was like no I want Harry to be with Ginny not Sean but now I feel the opposite I really want Harry to get back together again but I know that you have a good reason. I must also say that I love Teddy so much!

Ok first off, it is really really reallly good, so continue the great work. and post really really soon. Now i can not believe that you did that with Harry and Sean i am so hurt by it lol, but i am sure you have a great reason. but anyway let me kno when the next chapter is up and ready.

So I'm finally caught up with this story. The sequel idea is really cool, and I understand that first chapters are always hard and you can't give away too much, but I'm glad I got to read the second chapter. The fight between her and Harry explains a lot about the first chapter and I read someone else's review where they thought that the boyfriend on the train was Neville, and you know, I honestly think it could be, especially with all the mentions of Professor Sprout.

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I also want to know what Sean meant wen she said, "I made principle." Hmm... suspense, suspense.

I love how Sean adopted Teddy, and now she has blond hair. I could picture it being a more mature look for her. Well I'll just wait, and see if the rest of my questions get answered.

They broke up...I thought it was wierd that you never said "Harry" just "her boyfriend" or"he", but I thought you were just leading us on. I refused to believe it, but now it happened. Well, you can't have a story if everything is good, right? Also, I am extremely glad that you added in the part where they argue and break up, and you didn't just have them broken up. I think that made the situation more realistic. Because something like that happens all the time. I do feel bad for Harry, though. I can tell that he still loves her, and I have a suspicion that she still loves him, but she doesn't want to admit it because it would be too hard. I also really like how she has custody over Teddy. Sean is definetely the motherly type and Harry just doesn't have the time to raise a kid while he's off saving the wizarding world constantly...lol. Anyway, good chapter, sorry if I rambled a little there .

Ah! Craziness! I cant believe they broke up! Im fine with it (*sinffles*) but im surprised! But like you said, im sure you have a reason! Still lovin the story. So is "the boyfriend" Nevile? *scratches chin* I cant wait to find out! I cant believe Harry was jealous of George! He knew (or did he?...lol) that she never had fellings for George! I mean with the whole ordeal in the last story!

Teddy is adorable!!! I just love him. The whole thing between Ron and the broom stick made me laugh!

Harry is such a butt! I cant beileve he would say those things to Sean!! I still cant believe their over though!!! To me it seemed like Harry was acting like he still kinda liked her. Coincidence? Sorry, I know I'm not reading this so I don't really know...but I am going to answer your questions anyway . (well, think of it as my opinion on the situation)

First off, I don't think that Sean is the Hogwarts principle, I mean, she would have to be at the school right now for the feast. Also, at the very beginnning of the story Sean told her "mystery boyfriend" that it will be different now that Sprout is taking over, so I would think that Sprout is the new headmistress.

Next, I definitely think that Harry and Sean both still have feelings for each other. It's just that Harry is constantly going to be busy since he is like the savior of all wizards (lol), and Sean couldn't handle being with Harry and having him badger her to help him by using her powers.

Also, and I am pretty sure on this one, Sean couldn't feel Harry empathically(sp?) anymore because their connection through love was broken. Like, if she tried, I bet she could feel his feelings, but just as another person passing in the crowd, not the way she could at the end of half blood changeling

Once again, these are more of my theories than actual answers , and if you want to correct me, Gryf, please feel free. Or not so I can go on thinking the wrong thing and get slammed with a suddent twist, haha.

hey guys! you are all AWESOME! that pretty much sums it up! lance and loony, i love the dialogue between you two - y'all are so cute! and thanks so much to ginny, and shadow, and crazy, and brandon... i hope that's everyone! well, chapter three is up and it definitely answers the principle questions (btw, the principal of a school is spelled with an 'a' )! there's not a whole lot of action, but there is an important dialogue that kinda catches you up with sean and where she is now... also, there are some important elements introduced... btw, lance is right about sean not being able to 'feel' harry... he broke her heart and it happened as a subconscious reaction so she wouldn't feel anymore pain. also, i hope i'm not giving too much away here... BUT... it is very important that sean still cannot 'feel' him. i have more to say on their break-up, but it'll have to wait just a little longer...

oh, and you get to meet the 'mystery boyfriend' (i love that you guys named him that) in chapter four...

Ok about the chapter now: Another great one!! i really liked the line at the beginning it gives a really cool image in my mind.
It was funny how McGonagall didnt recognize Sean (oh and btw, it does answer my question about the "principal" (hah i spelled it right! ) thing) she was so stern! And i liked how she lightened up to Sean after she knew who she was.
Thats awesome that Sean is on the Montrose Magpies quidditch team! But of course she would be a quidditch player-- what else would she want to do? lol. And the ballet job-- would that be for muggles or the wizarding world? But i love both of her occupations.

The new transfiguration teacher--- hmmmmm. I wonder why Sean felt so scared! His description kinda reminds of Snape in a way, but still kinda different. I wonder why he is so ominous *strokes chin*. He seems like a bad guy!!! lol

Still cant wait to see who the boyfriend is!

Good chapter! It was too short, lol, but it did answer alot of questions. Of course you have still yet to reveal to us this "mystery boyfriend" I'm anxious to see who it is... Sean is a quidditch player, that's awesome, i also love how she is in the ballet. She always loved dancing. Now she gets to do two things that she loves.

I have one question, and feel free to ignore it if it gives anything away, but if not...Does Sean still have contact with the centaurs? If so, is she still part of the herd? If not, is she banished from the herd like firenze?

Interesting chapter. It answered a lot of questions that I had, but now gave me new ones. That's cool how Sean went back to Hogwarts to be a guest speaker and all, but I am still wondering at who her boyfriend is now! I like how the 6th years had to guess who she was, and then they were just interested in her social life. That teacher, Prof. Estran really gives me the creeps. seriously lance, how do you always predict what's going to happen next? anyways, thanks so much to loony and ginny for responding - you guys are great! as for the boyfriend, here's the additional information i promised:

the boyfriend was not actually going to be neville, but a new character. i had intended for the boyfriend to be a professor at hogwarts, but he was going to be an american named 'west' (i considered the idea of sean dating a muggle, but i decided that it was just too complicated). but, since there is already an important original character (besides sean), i decided on neville. i think he would be such a sweet guy and very adoring, which is exactly what sean needs post-harry and their rather difficult relationship.

oh, and in case you're wondering, harry does not know sean and neville are together. neville was worried about not telling him, but sean convinced him that it's really not harry's business anymore (well, it isn't).

also, here's a little timeline post-HBC:
may 1998 - october 1998 sean lived with george
october 1998 - december 2000 sean and harry lived together
november 2001 - present (september 2003) sean and neville are together (they live together in the summer)

Aha I knew it! I knew Sean was dating Neville. I think it's perfect too because in HBC, the whole Neville joke was quite funny, and now she's actually dating him.

Thank you for the timeline, it really helps! That Professor Estran gives me the creeps, but I suppose that he is just crushing on a girl he can't have, or there's sometihng more. I think he might be the original character that you were talking about in your post (above mine)but I'll just have to wait and see.

Sean's return to the centaurs was really good, and I like how Ronan was as you said "affectionate" towards Sean, and how he is excited that she has her own foal. She has centaurian siblings too! That's really cool.

I liked the chapter, keep it up!

Hmm... interesting chapter...

First I was actually surprised that the boyfriend turned out to be Neville. I never really pictured them together, but I don't really know anything about the grown-up Neville, so I guess I will have to see what he is like before I judge him.

Anyway, to the more important part. I think it is very interesting how much respect Sean still recieves from the Centaurs, it really shows her importance to them that she wasn't banished like firenze. Also, I'm worried about Sean and Teddy, if Ronan and Sean are both worried by what they see in the sky than there may be some trouble ahead. Then again, it may just be Centaurs overreacting again.

Well, I don't have any questions or predictions to give you, sorry, but I think I have most of my questions figured out( I hope), so, good chapter and I can't wait to see what's next!!

I read HBC and the begging of CIH, and I have to say that this is one of them most creative fan fics I have ever read. How do you come up with it? How did you think of Changeling? If JKR doesnt decide to pick this up as part of a book, then sje will have no idea what she is missing!

I am really intrigued by this professor, he seems almost connected to Sean. I don't know if that's true, but it just seems that way. I mean, he is always popping up wherever Sean is. At first I thought he was just following her around, but now, the same animagus, figured it out at the same age, both good at transfiguration... it just seems really wierd. Well, it was a really good chapter, and I am anxiously anticipating the next one!!

And Solicitations has to do with Harry trying to get Sean to have her and Teddy come with him on Halloween, and that also probably has some hidden meaning . Am i right? I dunno... lol.

Man, I wish Sean would just admit her feelings for Harry, I mean, it is obvious she is still in love with him!! He can tell, she knows he can tell, but she is so stubborn. I guess she just doesn't want to admit it because it would be hard. I mean, if Neville saw them together for two seconds he could tell that they should be together.

I am really glad that Sean got to see Godric's Hollow, and see how it affects Harry. I feel like this is a big step in their relationship, and it obviously helped her forgive him a little, also

Ok, i am super sorry for not reviewing last chapter! Dont worry, i havent forgotten! Lol I got really sick for like 7 days, and then the power was off, and then i just forgot... lol, sorry! Ok, so i will be reviewing for 2 chapters!

Ok, Chapter 7, lol. It was intense!! I cant believe he never told her before!!! Well, i guess i can because he is very hard-headed like that when it comes to showing weakness! As usual, Harry has to screw it up! lol. Poor Teddy!!!! I think she still loves Harry, but obviously she loves Nevile (Neville! I still cant get over it! lol, But i love it!) so she probably has a huge internal struggle! Poor Sean! And Harry tried to use his "story" to make her feel differently about him (probably pity) but apparently he doesnt know Sean too well!!! lol

Ok, the title... Satisfied and Silent Questions... Silent questions, Harry asking her too be with him again... but Satisfied... I dunno who would be satisfied... Not Sean, thats for sure, not Teddy, not Harry... well maybe Harry, i dunno!

Ok, Chapter 8... Awesome again! Hmmm... Percy and Sean? A new couple! lol im just kidding. I love how Ron stood up for Sean and didnt tell Harry that she was going out with Neville! It was very courageous of him! I love it! It was funny how they were all talking about the baby names after the show... I hope you tell us when Gemma has the baby!!

That darkness scene was intense. So, the first set of images she saw... Was somebody else reading her mind or something? Or did it just happen randomly because of the Darkness? And then Harry shows up... was he following her ? Was the Darkness from Harry at all? But it does seem like it would be Harry because he got the little malevolent, twisted smile on his face! I liked how you made Harry a little twisted at the end... I dont know why i liked it, it just... a twist that i wasnt expecting, and it was a good twist! Do i make any sense? lol. . What is Harry planning? Hmmm...

Ok, the title... Mercury and Mars... Mars is for the last image she saw... Mars is burning bright... so danger is coming near? From who? Rhode, Harry? Hmmmm... And Mercury... once again, you have me stumped! It seems like in the titles theres an easy part of it and a hard part of it... or so i think i have the answer lol . But i guess Mercury could be 1 of 2 things... the planet or the substance... Somebody could get poisoned from the mercury substance... or the planet Mercury has a special meaning to it, like Mars does. But i also noticed that, that was the adjective you used to describe Seans new hair color. Coincidence? Am i close? lol. I guess ill just have to find out!

Absolutely loved it. Every moment of it! It surprised me that Sean had kept her relationship with Neville from Harry for two whole years, but I loved when he found out about them. Very realistic in the ex meeting the current boyfriend. Amazing work, really. Can't wait to read more!

i would NEVER give up on sean! sorry that took SOOOO long, though! i started something new in my life and, well, let's just say i miss sleep - a lot! anyway, chapter nine in FINALLY up, and while it's not very exciting it does do something i've really wanted to portray... you get to see a 'day in the life' of sean and teddy, though it's an unusual day considering their current events, and you also get to kind of understand more of the ramifications of the harry/sean break up... (i.e. how kingsley/sean interact is a big clue).

anyway, i HAVE to apologize for this chapter being so terribly late! i will be doing my best to update once a month AT THE LEAST... hopefully i will be able to do more. well, let me know!

There is definitely something wierd about kingsley/sean. It was like he could feel her emotions, i dunno, something strange was going on...

wow! amazing!

i finally finished w/HBC and was like, okay. now to find the sequel. bc i've been busy and i found the fic late in the making.

i really like this though! at first when i was reading the beginning i was like "why not say harry's name?" then when it was talking about the green house i was like "ohhh! it's neville. i get it now." anywho..i really like it. oh and the name Gemma is pretty cool.

as for chapter nine... hermy, lance, lidaya, and brandon - THANK YOU! i love reading your responses and all your speclations about kingsley... but i have to tell you that there is no sean/kingsley ship. after sean and harry broke up, there was a lot of division among their friends (as there usually is in real life), and kingsley was among her friends that just so happened to 'lose touch' as the years went on. oh, and there is NO ron/sean ship! eyw, that would be wrong... sean was just righteously ticked off that he waited so long to tell her that gemma was in labor.

onto current business, i LOVE chapter ten. it was awful to right the second half (as you will read), but it had to be done. i am really interested to read your speculations and reviews, especially since there's not a whole lot i can tell you about it just yet... anyway, thanks again for sticking with the story - especially since finding the time to right it has been rather challenging lately. no worries, though - the story will continue!

Chapter 10.... hmmm It's getting more and more interesting... What's with that Rode though.... all these strange appearances of him.. and why was Neville drunk? any reason? or did I miss something?

Wow... this chapter was intense!!! That was really, really good. Wow... thats all i can say, lol! I loved it!

Ok, so Are you saying Harry and Neville are in on that Darkness thing together!?!?!?! Thats crazy! Wow... the two sweetest people, i would have never have suspected that... great twist Geez, they just all have a conspiracy against Sean dont they! Poor Sean... lol

Hmmmm... and Rhode... Now im thinking that maybe hes a good guy... but im still not sure about it. Now with this chapter he seems good and all because he does genuinely seem concerned for Sean. But i dunno... i still feel like there's something off about him... maybe we'll learn more about his past and then maybe then we'll see how he actually is! Once again, he just happens to show up where Sean is? And why was Tom suspicious of him? Very fishy... maybe he's in the conspiracy as well!

The ending was really touching. How shes didnt know where her home is! It was really sad!

that's different to have him born in a muggle hospital instead of st.mungos and i just thought about the fact that they never really say wether or not they have them go to st.mungo's or some other place in the books do they?

well i hope you post again soon, and this was an amazing chapter. as usual. so yes. i loved it. but the one word to explain this was just wow..

So my apologies for not leaving feedback for chapter nine. I was going to read it but didn't have the time, then I completely forgot about it! It was really great and I was happy to have another chapter to read right away! This last chapter was amazing! I couldn't believe that Neville actually hit her. My instincts tell me that it's not really him acting that way, drunk or not. I have a feeling his (and Harry's) behavior has something to do with Rhode. Something just isn't right about that guy and I can't help but dislike him. Now what I am wondering about is where the heck Harry is. And you are doing a great job portraying Teddy as (I forget how old he actually is) a little kid. He acts and talks just like a kid his age and many people can't pull it off. Good work! I guess I'll just have to wait and see! Great chapter and can't wait for more!
