Well, I haven't met them, like said more then "hi" or "I love you!" to them. I was in Hollywood with my dad the day of the OoTP Premier when he told me we were going. I nearly died. I got to see Dan, Emma, Rupert (his brother went to) and Tom. I'm sure there were other people there from the movie, but honestly i was to overjoyed when Tom smiled at me. xD

Ha! Lucky you. >< I would of loved to see Tom. AGH! I hate you now. lol Just kidding! But personnally, myself I haven't really met any of them, not do I think I will. lol But my dad knows (and so do I!) that if they ever came near here (which probably will not happen ), I will be there. Believe me. *stares scarily* lol

Lol yeah. My mom thought he was crazy for taking me, i didn't shut up about it for weeks. Though there was one time when i was hatching a plot to kidnap the cast and hide them in my attic...wanna help?!

I have a friend who got to meet Robert Hardy (Fudge) a couple of months back. I'm not quite sure of all the details but my friend is a History student, and RH is somewhat of an expert of the English longbow. Anyway my friend wrote to him and asked him if he could possibly be of any help at all. A couple of months later they met and apparently he was very helpful and really nice, and signed some autographs for my friend who is a massive HP fan...

I know a girl who claims that she met Dan Radcliffe while her family was staying in Britain. I'm not sure if I believe her.

She said that he showed up outside a studio they were nearby, and that he was really nice.

What a lucky girl! Obviously, they'll never come to my country , but I hope I can go Britain (some far away day *sigh*)

Anyway, for those who lives in US, Dan is gonna Broadway with Eqqus! Oh, I envy that ...



If you live in Britain, it hasn't to be that tricky to see them on cars or anything around London (specially Rupe with his odd ice-cream truck)

There are some 60 million people living on this tiny island of ours and I assure you that I could quite easily walk past any cast member in the street without even noticing. London is worse, this is so busy, you certainly don't have time to look at who is in the next car while your josseling with the other 10 million people who are on the roads at the same time.

Seriously though, you have as much chance of seeing any of the actors in other parts of the world as you have in the UK. I hung around Gloucester Cathedral while they were filming in February and got the slightest glimpse of Dame Maggie, Emma, Bonnie and Evanna, and I mean the slightest glimpse.

I was supposed to go to a music festival in Reading (UK) a couple of years ago, but I didn't in the end because I had to go to someone's wedding. Then I found out on an interview of Daniel Radcliffe that he was there the year I was supposed to go. I felt so angry and fustrated because if I had went then I might have seen Daniel Radcliffe .

I was out in Nottingham with a few of my friends and we decided to go ice skating, guess who we bumped in to, only the guy who plays Percy! he was out with his girlfriend i think or maybe just a female friend but who knows. anyway we got is autograph it was great!

I have met a surprising amount of the cast. My godmother's best friend is the woman who plays Aunt Petunia, so I know her really well, and our painter knows Alan Rickman, so I've met him. My Dad is part of the Fast Show team, so he knows Mark Williams, though I haven't actually met him.
My godmother is a writer, so she got invited to the special party in which JK displayed her Tales of Beedle the Bard, and she was going to take me along. She had to pull out at the last minute, so I went with Aunt Petunia instead. That was pretty awsome. We met Imelda Staunton (Umbridge), Evanna Lynch (Luna) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny) ther, and we also glimpsed the guy who plays Seamus and the guy who plays Neville.
My Dad was in a play with Ralph Fiennes, and he actually lives just around the corner from us, so we know him quite well.
And (finally, I swear) I might be going to the set of Harry Potter with the woman who plays Aunt Petunia if she's in movie seven.

Oh, god, I sound like a total prat, don't I?

Anyway, I've never met any of the cast, probably because I live nowhere near Britain. Maybe I should move there..........

At camp last summer I met (met as in saying hi! Bye!) Tom felton's cousin sarah. she's about 14, i think, and she said he's really nice. that is the closest i've ever come to meeting an actual cast person, so all you people who have actually met someone should consider themselves INCREDIBLY LUCKY!!!!!!!!!

I've never met any of the cast. I'm sure I never will as I have no reason to meet anyone in the film industry .

You're right, the thing that hits you first is his voice. It's amazing!!!

And he is really nice. You wouldn't know he was famous if you hadn't seen him in films. His laugh was pretty awesome too.

I pretty much spent the whole time going Wow wow wow wow wow wow etc. while he chatted to my dad, so that's really all that stuck out. He signed my HP book, though, and said that he liked my name. And then my dad led me away in a daze still going Wow wow wow wow...


That's pretty much all I can think of off the top of my head. Sorry to disappoint everyone who was expecting an essay

Thanks for the info, Ellie. It wasn't a disappointment at all. I'm sure I would have done the exact same thing-thinking wow,wow,wow! Actually, I probably wouldn't have even been able to speak enough to say hello to him. I'm glad he's nice and I knew his voice would be incredible. Thanks so much for sharing your memories with us!

OMG I had the feeling entering this thread that someone did meet Alan Rickman !!!!!!!!!! I'm very jealous, although I have met 10s of celebrities if not, over 100 ! But if I could meet someone, only 1 person, it'd be Alan Rickman.


I spent 2 months in Hollywood and I have walked past many many celebrities including Travis Barker, Tom Morello, Davey from AFI etc... (Including Michelle Rodriguez at art exhibit where Paris hilton was. Don't like her, so didn't meet her )
Could have worked as a photographer on movies set but didn't work out 'cause didn't have a working visa....

DAMN you met Alan Rickman (once again I know) !!!!!! He's got a very deep voice, and I think I would have melt right in place ;-)
As funny as it might sound, I'm moving to London with a friend from March/April 2009 !

OMG Ellie!!!! You've met a lot of the cast. So if you go to the DH movie set...can you bring a friend? I vote for ME to go . I'll buy my own plane ticket and everything! You wont even know I'm there, I'll probably faint...I'll be so quiet LOL That's so awesome that you know a good amount of the actors and even live near one. All I can say is WOW!

I haven't met any of the cast myself, but I swear I know someone who was an extra in one of the movies and SHE got to meet Daniel Radcliffe!

I've met Rick Riordan twice. Does that count for anything?

I'd like to say I've met JKR, but that would be a lie and even if it were the truth no one would believe me.

Last week I met Alfie Enoch who plays Dean Thomas. He studies at Oxford Uni like me and we were both at an audition for a play together- he was before me


But that's it oh and you know the guy in COS who Harry sets the snake on in the duelling scene? He goes to Oxford too and I saw him in a play. But that's not so cool :S

I have never met any of them or seen them in person... I doubt I ever will. I've yet to go to Europe even though I always say pretty much anywhere in Europe would be like a dream vacation for me.

I met the Phelps twins at a convention in London in July.

They are lovely, very welcoming and chatty. I have a pic somewhere...

I queued for over an hour to get their autographs but it was well worth it!

I had the intense misfortune of meeting Rob Pattinson who played Cedric in GoF. I was working near London at the time and Rob came swaggering in with a snobby girl hanging off his arm, being very rude about the shop and me and my colleague. I recognised him a moment after he entered because he was dressed like many students from the nearby university. I think Rob could tell that I knew him from somewhere. I didn't smile though. So then he came up to the counter and bought some picture hooks and was so rude, not directly talking to us but talking to the girl who was with him. My colleague and I wanted to punch him but since we were working that wasn't viable.
I still can't believe how rude he was and he wasn't even embarassed to let us hear him being rude.

OOOH I am still not over this. I was in London this summer (probably for the last time in at least 10 years, sooo... this was the time to meet someone). We were in Leicester Square at night, so everyone was coming out to party haha, and we were about to walk into the subway when I FROZE, because I'd seen flashy pink leggings with socks and shoes over... And I'd seen that before, only on one person. That's Jessie Cave, who plays Lavender, by the way. So yeah I was like in shock mode so I was stupid and all, and I waited to make sure it was her (when it obviously WAS). And then she was on the phone. And then I didn't want to bother her, obviously. And then she crossed the street. And then I was like wow that was weird. And then, my dad comes, and he had no idea all of this had happened, and he's like 'Hey, I think I just saw Ron!'



We'll never know.
