OK so right now i am watch the second harry potter on t.v. and they played the scene where harry goes into tom riddles (voldemort's) journal and they see Hagrid.
So Hagrid said that he was expelled in his 3rd year, but in the movie he seems really old
is it just because he is half-giant or bad choice of actor, or what??

No, personnally I don't think so. You may of seen it differently, who knows. But I don't recall them showing his face clearly...? And he was obviously 'big', because his dad could sit on his shoulder when he was eleven! 
I'm not sure whether they used the same actor or not, check the credits. But they might of, just less layers.

i got to agree with wither wings because Hagrid is half giant no wonder he was big but face was not shown personally i think he was same old Hagrid and they cut the face
