It states some answers from the reading in New York, where famously Dumbledore being gay is told to us. However, what was over-shadowed by this was the relationship and eventual marriage or Neville Longbottom and Hannah Abott!

What does everybody think?

Im disappointed. Neville and Luna should have ended up together!!!! They were made for each other!!! A little Loony and a little skittish... They worked well together. But Hannah Abbot? Her character is hardly developed at all!!! I barely even remember who she is!!!!

Please remember that all ships that do not say VENOM beneath the title are assumed Supporters threads. Therefore, no "I don't like this ship" posts are really wanted in this thread.

I think Neville and Hannah is a better combination than Neville and any other girl because all the others are too strong of souls for him. Ginny....haha no. Even if she's with Harry, that would never work. And Neville and Luna just clash terribly. But Neville and Hannah work out because...I mean, who really remembers either of them at the end of the day?

I perfer other ships (CoughNevilleAndLunaCough) but i supose this could work. What we know about Hannah:

She is first described as pink-faced with blond pigtails.

She was the first for a calming draught in OotP at exam time.

Her mum was killed in second war during HBP. Hadn't seen her for rest of year.

At least i think that was Hannah. If it wasn't, then i'm terribly sorry for posting pointless information.

Yes, I agree. But Neville and Hannah are kind of compatible too because of the way these characters were described by their appearance in the book. However, we don't know much about Hannah even if she was mentioned a fair few times in the books.

Oh, and I'd like to add to your [Moon(I luv you Luna)] list of what we know of Hannah: I think she kind of defended Harry when Ernie McMillan was telling the other Hufflepuffs that Harry was, according to him, the Heir of Slytherin in CoS. So bonus points for N/H.

This is SLOWLY growing on me. I REALLY wanted Neville with Luna, and was very dissapointed when I found out that they didn't get married. In "The Order of the Phoenix" movie. There was chemistry between Neville and Luna. There is a part where Luna is just standing there watching something, and danger is coming, well Neville goes and grabs her hand and they run off together. I just really STILL want them together. I can see why she put Neville and HAnnah together. They both lost a mother in some form, can be pretty spastic. But I still want Neville and Luna together.

I feel the same way. As soon as Luna came into the books I knew they should end up together. *Sigh I guess I was wrong. They'd have been so perfect.

I STILL say they are perfect together. Hannah is rarely mentioned. Luna belongs with Neville.

In my mind, Hannah and Rolf throw themselves off veeery high cliffs while Neville and Luna get married under a clump of Nargles.

But i'm supposing that Neville and Hannah could work. Like, they both have hufflepuff-ish qualities (Though Neville will always be a mighty Gryffindor) and ...well, they both went to Hogwarts.



Ah yes, i forgot about that. So she was a nice hufflepuff during that time. Neville's nice as well ... match made in heaven ... maybe ... lol.

I guess they just met up again sometimes after school and got together. At least Neville can enjoy free drinks from the Leaky Cauldron (where Hannah becomes the new landlady).

I, like many of you, were hoping for an eventual Neville/Luna romance. She has said that the two of them are very different, but then, the "opposites attract" theory has worked well with R/Hr. Besides, the always quirky and spunky Luna and the shy schoolboy turned bad-**** Neville would have made a power couple for sure. Jo probably wanted to shake things up a little however, because otherwise everyone within the six important DA members/Department of Mysteries crew would have paired off. Oh well. If Neville and Hannah are happy, all the more power to them. Let them have their fun! Hannah has always been depicted as a nice girl, and probably a good match for Neville.

I'm probably happier with Neville and Hannnah than I would be with anyone else... at least she didn't stick him with Rolteria or anyone else that is some very distant relation to a relatively little-known charactor...*sigh* . And Moon(I luv you Luna) you're right, they do seem to be a bit Hufflepuffy and... I dunno. If he couldn't have Luna, then I guess Hannah is the next best thing- is there a Fan-fic on this?

I like the couple I first shipped Neville and Luna because they were ... not for each other but they had some things in common, like that Neville was a mess and Luna was friend-less because of her pure, lovely oddity. But I'm glad both of them had found their special person that made them happy. It's a good couple. And it's interesting that she's a Hufflepuff, because that's the first house you'd think of Neville if you don't know him, besides Hufflepuff are a very good bunch.

I'm going to write a fanfic about the Neville-Hanna ship, but I don't know when.

Hmmm.......... this is disappointing. Yet incredibly amusing. Nevvy and Hannah?! Strange.......very strange..... Yes, I think Neville and Luna WOULD have been better, but I can SO see Neville marrying a non-evil Millicent Bulstrode.

I was absolutely shocked to read this on Harry Potter Wiki but wow it really fits! I'd never considered it before but now when I think about it, well it does make sense. I always got the impression that Hannah was very intrested in Herbology too but perhaps that is just because her head of house happened to teach the subject.
Still, it's really lovely. She and Neville marry, move into the Leaky Cauldron where she becomes landlady. Poor Tom had to retire sometime

And I don't really like Hannah. She had that "Potter stinks"-thingy. And there are like no Neville/Hannah-scenes. So I dont ship it. And I realized I should go... 'cause this is for supporters. I forgot that... lol XD.

I think that J.K. just didn't want all of the sextet to get married within the group because it would be too weird or something. With the obvious R/H pairing J.K. only could have H/L which I would have enjoyed, N/G which wouldn't work at all, H/G makes Harry happy, or N/L which is my personal favorite. But J.K. wanted Harry to end up happy and if she did what she did with Neville and Luna having them marry undeveloped or unstated characters we fans would be going mad. So she could do H/L or H/G and I guess she thought that H/G worked better for some reason unknown because Harry and Luna were just so compatible. So that is how I view this matter, I think that Luna should have married Dean if she couldn't marry Luna and that Neville should have married one of the Patil twins if he even had to marry someone but I would have liked to see him single his whole life if he couldn't marry Luna. Oh well I can't choose so I have to deal with Neville/Hannah and Luna/Rolf.
