the head was a little fynny in the begining, but, it was there all time in all the interviews, I think it was really anoing(or how you spell it).
I think it had really stupid coment's sometime's and, it really wasn't so fynny, perhaps a few time.

what do you guyes think of it?

I just watched the "Prisoner of Azkaban" DVD and interviews for the first time today! smile.gif I must say, the shrunken head was the only change made from the book that I thought was really good. Most of the scenes that diverged from the book just annoyed me and made me wonder how J.K. Rowling can allow the director and screenwriter to take such liberties with her story, but I thought the shrunken head was quite amusing. In the movie, I especially liked the line "why the long faces?" ... I don't know, it just made me laugh! tongue.gif The head did interject quite frequently in the interviews and I can easily see why somebody could find it annoying, but I personally thought that its comments were a nice touch, light and funny (its favorite band is the Talking Heads! laugh.gif ). The head really only interrupted significantly in the "kid actor" interviews -- and it certainly seemed to help Daniel out when he couldn't come up with an Animagus form for Rupert or Emma -- so I didn't find it terribly objectionable. In the Oldman and Thewlis interview, for example, it didn't interject remarks nearly as much, which I thought was appropriate. Overall, I thought the shrunken head was a good addition to the movie.

I have to agree with Anthony here. I thought the shunken heads was really amusing too. In fact, all throughout the interview, I was anticipating its next punch line. And JKR herself said that it was brilliant and would insert them in if she had thought about it before.

Ah, yes! While in David and Gary's interview, it said something about putting them in its resume as co-star and told them if anyone ask, they should say that they learn a lot from it. And David replied ' You should quite while you're still ahead!' laugh.gif

i though the shruken heads were a bit stupid to add in for no apparent reasoni have watched the DVD and i though it real stupid to pu the shrunken heads in there.

I've always thought that the shrunken heads were a bit of foreshadowing in the films of the importance of house-elves myself, especially after OotP when we found out that the Black family habit is cutting off house-elves heads and mounting them when they get too old. It was just too much of a coincidence for me.

And I kind of liked the head anyway....Lenny Henry is one of THE funniest guys.....aside from his screaming days, that is.... rolleyes.gif

J.k said in one of the interviews that some things where guide liding in the 3th film, that was there by accident, if you can sa it that way.
that some things were guide liding to something that was to happen in the future books.
I think the Shrunken head was a bit funny in the movies, it just annoyd me in the interviews. "Ask him how it is to wear a T-shirt", I mean, someone could think it was funny but I didn't.
the sceen while the head is saying" hey gyes, why the long faces" it did make me laugh^^

I thought it was pretty funny - but then I really enjoyed the whole Knight Bus thing, they did that very well. In the DVD specials it was a bit random - it had some funny lines biggrin.gif

yea i enjoyed the night bus but the shrunken heads weere over board for me. i really didnt like the concept of alfonso changing the movie plot around. i mean i though these movies were based on the book of hrry potter and when i saw the movie i tohugh i was gonna die of shock. alfonso didnt have the right to od that. this movie let amny fans down and iam hope taht the next movie wont be like this. dry.gif ohmy.gif

In the film it was funny, but in the interviews it was so annoying! it really made me grumpy.... dry.gif

Yes that shunken heads were anoying during the interviews, īcause always the head wanted to know the same, that if he can have a role on the movies, and off course they anser no, ot they laugh, and the other guy told the head about canīt with the wand and all that stupid things, I thikh the interviews could have been better with out that goofy head on it"!!!
mirtia
xXhApOcHiCxX, don't you think that if all directors based their views entirely on the books and copied them exactly as they were created by author's imagination, the onlooker would be bored to death during the showtime? Alfonso didn't change too much!! sometimes his interpretation was different but so what?
JKR accepted his decisions, and her fans should be ok with it. I enjoyed the change because while I watched second movie I knew what to expect from Chris Columbus. He made the movie exactly as it was showed in the books without any originality or eccentricity as Alfonso did -----> ( the Talking Head, all additional gadgets in the background.) I think that we should admire people that bring in something different, unexpected and bizzare, not the people that do it the easy way

As to the Talking Head, in the movies it was great, as I said above it added a bit of eccentricity. I can't say if it was annoying on dvd 'cause I didn't buy it. sad.gif
LadyMalfoy
I thought that during the movie they were okay, not too annoying, but not too amusing either. During the interview I thought that there was no reason for it to be there, and they shouldn't have had it. But then again, I would be lying by saying that I didn't laugh at anything that they said biggrin.gif
Lulu
mirtia: We do admire alfonso's work creating PoA,don't we? but realted to the book, it well, many has alreadu said it, a few changes(I wont go into details). I think the movie as a movie was great, but related to the book it wasn't that good, but I loved it though, and the head was funny, only in the onterview's it was a bit annoying.
Monerz
I loved the shrunken head in the movie.

But it was utterly annoying in the interviews.
ViviElessar
The Shrunken Head was extremely annoying in the interviews! I just wanted to take it out of there mad.gif !.
Louise
I'd like to retract what I said right the way up there ^^^ The shrunken head, having now watched the interviews properly, was so completely and utterly irritating that, if I'd had shotgun, I would have blown the back off my home cinema TV....and you'd have to know how much I love my TV to know how much that would hurt.... tongue.gif

I think even the actors thought it was stupid....it was painful to watch....
Lulu
WHoa! you're TV huh? Okay wasn't that a little too rash? hehe
the actors had to laugh on purpose, even if it wasn't realy funny, you cpuld see it in they're face's that it wasn't funney. gosh Why did the directors put the head in the interviews?

Hahahaha. I also wanted to smashed my tv!
I thought the same thing about the actors.
Rupert'z Girl
I totally agree with whoever thinks the shrunken head was annoying! It kind of ruined the interviews for me. It should have just stayed in the movie.

Aphrodite
I hated that shrunken head with a passion...I found it highly misplaced in a Harry Potter movie(and even more in the interviews), and highly annoying. I too, wanted to strangle it, only it had no neck...
Dead I Am The One
the talking and shrunken head was freaking retarded you could tell that in the interviews the cast was giving a forced laugh at it i thought them putting that in in the first place was retarded ok they can put in something that wasnt in the book like the talking head and the quire(sp?)which had no pint to the movie but they take out the last quidditch game and in the next movie there taking everything else out? come on
Bellatrix
I thought that the shrunken head in the movie was quite strange, but in the interview it was just....annoying. I really disliked how it kept interupting. I also didn't like how it kept asking the dumbest questions.
bluephoenix5
The shrunken head in the interviews was absolutely 100% annoying. It was better in the movie on the knight bus. I don't know what made them think that they should have that thing asking questions to the actors and then making dumb jokes. i bet the actors got annoyed as well after a bit, i know i would have. In my opinion that shruken head is only good in the movie and shouldn't do anymore acting.
Remus_Lupin
It was a bad enough idea having Johnny Vaughn Interview them without the other annoying shrunken head aswell.
It didnt even make my 3 year old cousins laugh. Even they thought it was terrible.
dreamwalker
I did notice one funny though during the filmmakers portion. I noticed it recently because I agree both Johnny and the head were annoying. A whoopie cushion was mentioned and Cuaron cleared the air as it was a remote control fart machine. Let me go back to Creating the Vision in which one portion where they had been filming the great hall scene where the kids were spending the night after the common room attack. Micheal Gambon and Alan Rickman were laughing like a couple of school boys and I was curious. (Used to his villian roles I don't think I've ever seen Alan Rickman smile so I thought it was hillarious) Anyway in the filmmakers portion Cuaron mentioned that Gambon had put a remote control fart machine in Dan's sleeping bag and was using it while the scene was being filmed. That's why they're laughing so hard. And I thought only my husband would do something like that. It seems there is an inner redneck in everyone no matter what your age... laugh.gif
After the Burial
I admit, that is a very funny story. It also explains the laughing. As for the shruken head, I did not like them in the movies. They were worse in the interviews. I hope we never need another one in the series.
samm88
yeah it was a little annyoing at the end. but i loved the shrunken head in the movie .
HermioneClone
I thought the shrunken head was annoying, especially in the interviews. At least in the movie it was brief. It didn't change my positive overall view of the movie, but I didn't like the head in particular. I don't know where they came up with it.
zoabella
Somwthing that really bothered me when I watched POA, was when Hermione and Harry were back in time at the pumpkin patch, at the edge of the forest, behind a tree, and Hermione says, "Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?".
That statement was a little strange to me, because Hermione isn't supposed to care about what she looks like, or girly things like hair, and in the movies, Hermione is portrayed more girly and less brainy, and I wonder why.
