Hello, members! If you've been wanting an original avatar or signature, but you don't know how to create one, this thread is for you. If you love to create signatures and avatar, then this is also the place for you!

How to submit an avatar/signature: Creators, please make sure that your avatar/signature follows the forum rules for avatars and signatures. Please make sure they are the proper size. No bigger than 100x100 for avatars. No bigger than 150x400 for signatures. Make sure you do not use curse words, nudity, or any offensive material. Please post your image directly in this thread. This is the only thread where images other than emoticons will be allowed to be posted directly as images.

How to request an avatar/signature: Post in this thread and list the type of signature/avatar you are looking for. We have many talented artists here on the forums.

NOTE: There are no forums artists, and there is no one "running" this thread, so please be patient if you request an avatar and have to wait for a bit before someone responds. The VTM staff is not held responsible for avatars/signatures that are removed due to rules violations. The VTM staff is not accountable for the creation for your signature/avatar.

Also, it would be nice if you gave credit to your avatar/signature creator. If you'd like to do this, please place the information in your profile. Thanks!

In my free time I like to dabble in a little bit of photoshop and create signatures/avatars. Since this thread is brand new, I thought I would start things off and post some freebies for anyone who wants to take them. These are just a couple of avatars I have been messing around with (I have been experimenting with coloring techniques). If anyone would like me to add anything to them just pm me and I will be more than happy to personalize. Also if you do take them please help me spread the word by putting my name somewhere near. Crediting me as Lily_Potter will do just fine.

The instructions are pretty easy to follow even if your not good at computers.

Ooh, how cool! Both of the posters' artworks are absolutely fantstic. I haven't quite got room for a siggy, but an avatar would be lovely.

Lily_Potter, yours are so pretty! I love the one with the rainbow that says "Lauren" and I was wondering if you could make me a similar one. I did two avatars, one that looks similar to the one I did for Lauren and the other that I added a pic of books to since I read that you like to read. Now comes the embarassing part ... how do I get it onto my avater? I think I'd like to use the one with the books, it's so cool... but it isn't like it's an individual picture or something, so I tried pasting the link into my avatar but that didn't work. I really would love to use it, as it's so very awesome! I just can't figure it out... he he. I'm not that computer savvy.

If someone could tell me how to put it up, that would be great... thank you so much! I love it!

What you have to do is save it to your computer and then host the avatar yourself.

You make really good avatars... and well I was wondering if you could make one with my name. I've been looking for ones on avatar sites but I haven't found a good one. Then I come across this thread on VTM like it was perfect.

Woohoo! I got it to work, as you can see... I had to mess around for a little while to get it to work, and honestly I don't know how I got it up in the end... but thanks so much to Lily_Potter!! Hm... Not wanting to steal your spotlight, Lily_Potter, but if anyone wants avatars just ask me! I'm very bored these days and I'll do whatever type you like! But I have to say that your avatars are really amazing, Lily Potter, and mine are definitely not as good.

EDIT: I've just finished a H/G avatar, and I'm quite proud of it. Since the only picture of this scene available is in a movie, animated, and on a TV, I had to do quite a bit of editing to get it right... But I managed! If anyone wants to take it for their siggy or avatar or whatever, go ahead. This is my first one I'm letting others use (apart from the customized ones), so please I'd like credit for them. PS: Sorry for making it my avatar.

And to answer whoever asked's question, making avatars... I'm not sure if you can do it on Photobucket, I thought it was only a photo sharing website... Well, I do them in Paint Shop Pro, or Photoshop, all the same.

Ima_LoOnYLoVeGoOd - I've made a L/J avatar for you below, you don't have to use it obviously! As there aren't many images of them in the films, I've been pretty limited as to which photos I can use. And the colours ... I've made this one in purple and white - I don't know why I chose these colours though! I can change it easily though, so if you'd rather it was a different colour, just say and I'll alter it! Hope you like it, if you don't I won't be offended!

How do you actually make them?

Ooh, well I only watched this cycle actually, hehe.

My avatars I make with Paint Shop Pro, but use Photoshop too, it's all the same thing, really. I just... make them, haha! I take my pictures on the internet, I fix the quality, resize it, fix the color and brightness, and then just do the avatar itself, like text borders, and blablabla. Hope that helps... haha might not!

Erm ... i have no idea how to make avatars, but i love them a lot. I was wondering if anyone could make me one that says "I wish 'Moon' were my real name". Because everyone here calls me Moon, and i hate my real name (Jordan). A moon in the background would work too (creasent or full).

And possibly one that says "I heart Teddy"(Because i really do).
