I have two favorites. Of the adults, I'd say that Alan Rickman is my favorite because his delivery of Snape's lines is entertainingly severe. Of the children, I think Emma Watson is the most talented and never comes across as anything but perfectly Hermione. I also liked Richard Harris as Dumbledore and I miss him in that role.

Daniel Radcliffe. He was really sweet in PS and really showed that he had developed his acting skills through the series so far. Also, he is a versatile actor, he may be pretty much typecast as Harry Potter (what an honour^^) but he has proven that he can do more than just that through his stage performances and other work.

My personal favorite is Helen Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange. She is an excellent fit for that part and completely captures the character in every way. Helen is a beautiful girl and she does a good job making that beauty work for Bellatrix. Also, the way Bellatrix is a touch crazy could be hard for some people to portray, but not Helen. Great actress and great role for her.

Oh my goodness! What a daunting task! So many amazing actors in these films, they really get the best of the UK for this movie. I mean looking at all these careers is astounding to me. I'm pretty sure there are a fair few RADA graduates in their, a couple of Dames and Sirs and some of theatre's finest.

What I notice about many English actors compared to American actors is that they are much more trained than the Americans. They also do a lot more theatre work, which is what I do, and I see it in their performances.

I would have to say I adore Alan Rickman as Snape and I was taken aback by Helena Bonham Carter's Bellatrix Lestrange. Only about 15 minutes on screen and I was hooked (kind of like Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal Lecter, but a little less).

Also, out of the threesome I think from reading that I'm a theatre student it would be obvious that I would choose Daniel Radcliffe. I have read Equus and it is very far from HP as ever! I just wish I were in NYC so I could see it before he has to go film DH.

angelinanerd, I agree! It is a really hard job choosing a favourite from all these wonderful actors! Of the adults I think I love Alan Rickman the best. He is the muggle version of Snape, really!
My continued congratulations to the casting team because the likes of Richard Harris, Julie Walters, Michael Gambon, all those wonderfully talented actors really bring the stories to life on the silver screen.
I will always have a particular soft spot for Alan Rickman's Snape though. I loved his performance in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves which was the film's only good point. Also, he really was brilliant in SweeneyTodd.

Now repeat after me: Alan Rickman Is Our Favourite Screen Villain. happy.gif

Oh, my goodness, what a challenge! huh.gif

Of all the adult actors and actresses, I'd have to say it's a three-way tie between Michael Gambon, Gary Oldman, and Imelda Staunton. All three have the power to make you believe they're really their character, and not just some actor or actress who is portraying the character. Furthermore, their character portrayels are the most thought-out and rehearsed (aside from the trio), in my opinion.

As to the teenage actors, I'd have to go with a tie between Evanna Lynch and Matthew Lewis. I really enjoyed the way both of them portrayed their characters and made them believable. The character of Luna was probably a tad more believable than Neville's character, but I'm not complaining. They were both portrayed very well, and I can't wait to see how the characters will evolve in the new film.

I like them all (I'm sure have all said that!), but my favorite has got to be Rupert. He's an amazing actor, I mean I actually believe that he's Ron Weasley. He's just absolutely great in everything he does.

For sure Emma Watson -- she's the coolest strong (and SMART) female character in any movie from the last ten years.

Also, if you want to vote for Dobby as the CGI "actor" most deserving of an Oscar, check this out: http://blogs.amctv.com/future-of-classic/2...-characters.php

He's up against the Hulk and Gollum, so he needs help!

My favorite actress in the movies is definitely Evanna Lynch. Luna is a hard character to capture, and she is so perfect for the part. She's got the dreamy voice down pat, too, haha.
My favorite actor is a little harder. Although I've never really liked Ron's character, I think Rupert Grint does a very nice job playing him. I also really admire the actors (I don't remember their names) who play the twins. Their actions and reactions are just perfect. But I can't say any of those is my favorite... I'm not really sure who is, haha. Daniel Radcliffe does a nice job too.
So I'll be obstinate and say my favorite actor is whoever played Professor Quirrell. Ha.
MrBubbles
I love Evana as well.

I have to admitt though I was skeptical when I first saw pictures of her(I hadnīt imagined Luna that pretty) but when I finaly saw the final film OOTP i was in awe by her performance. She was truly perfect for the part.

My favorite actor though is whithout any doubt Alan Rickman.
His voice is just incredible and he completley fits the part.
Florina Snape
Alan Rickman of course. Hes just the best ever.
Gary Oldman played Sirius Black so well. Right down to the barklike laugh!
Jason Isaacs was smashing as Lucius Malfoy!

Although there are so many talented actors in this series, I'd have to choose Alan Rickman as my favorite. He simply is Severus Snape to me. His facial expressions, his voice (which in the books is described as silky and dangerous wub.gif ), and his body movements. He is so rigid when he portrays Snape and that is exactly how I pictured Severus from the books.

Oh, hard question! I'm a bit (or not a bit biggrin.gif) influenced by the new movie, and I really liked Rupert' s acting, it was fantastic! So then I'd say he's my fav smile.gif
However Helena always a bit surprising for me, how convincing she is. Again, at the inbreakable vow scene, she was just perfect!
The Happy Dementor
Hmmm....three way tie.

Helena Bonam Carter, Alan Rockman and Tom Felton.

Basing my judgements on HBP because I just think they were all amazing in it especially Tom who had a rather bigger part than usual. Alan Riclman's performance was as ever stunning and I absolutly loved Helena's part whilst she was at Spinners End. It was completely convinving and then again when she was at Hogwarts after setting fire to hagrid's hut. I think they were all brilliant.

Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix) and Alan Rickman (Snape). I always love every scene they're in and they look exactly what I imagined they would look like when I read the books. I can't wait to see both of them in the next movie! biggrin.gif

My favourite actor has got to be Alan Rickman. He is brilliant as Snape. I think he is an amazing actor in all his films too.
And my favourite actress is Emma Watson.

This is a difficult question to answer as I feel that the casting agents did a marvellous job with their choices.

My absolute favourite since day 1 of the films has been Alan Rickman, it is almost like JKR designed the role for him. Alan seems to have slipped into the Snape role like he is wearing a second skin.

Emma Thompson is definately brilliant in her role as Trelawney, I feel that she has captured the 'nuttyness' of the character, and brings an amusing element to the films.

Other choices I feel are fantastic are Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Black, and Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy. Again, it is definately hard to exclude anyone from this list of favourites.

My choices would have to be Tom and Evana. happy.gif

I don't really like any of the kid actors. There's too much hype with them. I prefer Alan Rickman (he makes an excellant Snape, like no other could), Jason Isaacs (plays Lucius to a 'T', is an excellant baddie and is so hot! tongue.gif ), Gary Oldman (is cute as Sirius and is one of my favorite all time actors) and David Thewlis (new on the scene for me but I still think he is a great actor).

I think Dame Maggie Smith makes a great McGonagall and was exactly how I imagined her before the films were made).

I am so with you. Although, I am a fan of Emma Watson. She's my favorite out of the young adult actors. I enjoy the older crowd the most, which is a bit funny since I'm of age to be partial to the younger ones...hahaha.

Sorry I'm posting twice! I didn't see this response before I posted the other one. Anyway, oh goodness! Alan Rickman is my weakness!! I simply love him. He's so...delicious. It's the voice. hahaha

N'aw, I hate to be typical and go with the main characters, but I LOVE Emma Watson.
She is so beautiful, and an AMAZING actress.. (Even if she does talk with her eyebrows on the odd occasion). She also sets a wonderful example for today's youth, and she really is just a lovely person.

I also really love Bonnie Wright! She is rather adorable.. Even if she is older than me mellow.gif I think she does a fabulous job as Ginny. I wish they'd show more of her and let her extend to her full potential.

My favorite HP actor are Daniel & Tom Felton.

I have to say I totally adore Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort. smile.gif He was one of my favourite actors even before appearing in the HP series.. and his portrayal of You-Know-Who just proved that he is immensely talented and can grasp the personality of any character. I love him in every role he plays from Amon Goeth in Schindlers list to Lord Voldemort. smile.gif I think Mr. Fiennes is absolutely universal!! Just think about how difficult it must be to portray such an evil being as LV realistically... I think it is really a hard nut to crack but Mr. Fiennes excells in this role... LOVE HIM!!! wub.gif Cannot wait to see him in Deathly Hallows!! YUP! rolleyes.gif
