This is only my second fan fiction so be nice. Just to give you a bit of background information. This is just after the 19 years later so Albus and Rose have just gone to Hogwarts for the first time. So here goes.

Chapter 1 Old enemies, new friends

The scarlet train pulled away from the station and it was out of sight. Hermione turned to Ginny.
“Why don’t you bring Lily round? The men are off to work and the kids can play while we have a catch up.”
“Sure, but we had better be going, my darling husband is drawing attention to himself. I know it must be hard to be the boy who lived, the chosen one and the boy who won. It’s even harder being his wife.”
Harry and Ron had been talking nearby but as they heard that they looked around and it was true that almost every eye was on them. They looked around and saw someone they thought they had seen the last of.
“Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione and little children. It must be a shock to see me here. Who would have thought that I Draco Malfoy would be sending his own child off to Hogwarts? Well I am. Little Scorpios. I hope he doesn’t make the same mistakes as I did at Hogwarts. I realized when Cedric was killed that just because you were pure blood and your Father worked at the ministry you wouldn’t just be allowed to live normally. So what I’m trying to say is, I’m sorry.”
“Well, that’s the last thing I expected you to do. Draco, I forgave you when your mother told Voldemort I was dead. You didn’t have a choice, none of your family had a choice. I know you would have been killed otherwise. So thank you. You could have killed me when we were in the room of requirement but you didn’t so I knew you weren’t truly bad. So get on with your life Draco, you don’t need to worry, you’re free as are your family.”
“Thank you Harry but I must be getting to work. See you around,”
With that Draco walked off leaving the others on their own.
The four adults looked at each other in surprise.
“Well, who would have thought it, Draco’s being nice and he’s a father, maybe this could be the beginning of a new life for him.”
“Ginny you may just be right, but I think I might write to the kids and tell them to be wary of Scorpios. He might take after his father and be like he was at school.”
“Harry, we need to be getting to work. I just got a message from the minister; there’s been an attack in Diagon Alley. Some copycat Death Eaters by the look of it. Trying to get a bit of fame. They might stop if they see you.”
“Go on you two; Ginny and I will be just fine we’ll have a little catch-up.”
And with that Harry and Ron disappareted and Hermione and Ginny took the kids back through the barrier going to the cars the boys had left behind.

Here's chapter 2 hope you enjoy

Chapter 2 Trouble and a shock

Harry and Ron apparated straight to Diagon Alley. They saw exactly where the trouble was. Ollivandors. They headed towards the shop and walked in. There were a group of wizards all masked in old Death Eater masks. They had Ollivandor tied up at the back and where trying to get as many wands as possible.
Harry and Ron walked into the middle of the trouble and took their wands out. They sent stunners in every direction and in about a second every one of them was on the floor. Harry walked up to one of them and removed the mask. He recognised him at once. He was an old Slytherin. He tied ropes around him and woke him up.
“What are you doing here?”
“Why would we tell you? You’re the reason the Dark Lord is dead we will bring him back. We just have to find the Elder wand. We heard someone speak of it and we worked out that the only way to bring him back is to have the ultimate wand.”
“Oh, what a surprise. Well I can tell you something then. Even if you find the wand you can’t use its power unless you defeat the previous owner. Which amazingly is me. The wand was Dumbledore’s and Draco Malfoy took his wand so the and then belonged to him though he didn’t know it. Then I defeated Him and took his own wand so the elder wand knew its previous master ha been defeated so I was the true master. But, Voldemort thought the true master was Snape as he had killed Dumbledore. So after he had found the wand he killed Snape thinking it would give him the power of the wand but he killed the wrong person and in our last duel he lost the wand as it knew I was the true master. The wand is mine but it lies in Dumbledore’s tomb. It will stay there and I will die a natural death so the wands power will be broken. No one can defeat me so don’t even try.”
After that he tied the others up and woke them up. He sent a Patronus and a guard was sent to take the prisoners to the ministry for a trial. He and Ron apparated back to the Ministry. They arrived in the atrium and headed to the lifts. They got out at the Auror office and headed to their own section. Since the two of them had defeated Voldemort they had been given a special office so they were not in the limelight all the time. They headed to their office and went inside. They started on the paperwork for the trial of the men they had just captured. When they were almost done two memos flew into the office. One landed in front of Harry and one in front of Ron. They bath read them and sped out of the office.
They ran to the minister’s office and went inside.
“You wanted to see us Minister?
“Yes, there has been a situation that requires your attention. Now it seems that Minerva has had trouble finding a new defence teacher so we would like to ask you two and your wife’s to take this duty up and make a DA so everyone can get the teaching. Now your youngest may mean you have to decline but Minerva has agreed to let you bring the children with you so you do not have to be far. Now I have called Ginny and Hermione and they will be arriving shortly. So you may want to start thinking of your answer.”

Chapter 3 Decision time and a trip

Just as he said that the girls walked in.
“Harry, what’s this all about? I had just settled down with a nice cup of tea.”
“Yes, Ron why are we here the kids were happily playing, Hugo was just getting used to his new broom.”
“Well, maybe we should let the minister explain.”
“Here goes then. Minerva has had trouble finding a new Defence teacher so we had the idea that you start up a sort of DA so that the children can get the training and have the necessary information to get them through school. Now you may think it is impossible because of the younger children but Minerva has agreed to accommodate the children so you can go without having to worry about them. So what do you say because you will need to get there today if you agree.”
“Minister we might just go up to the Boys office and talk about this. We will be back up with an answer soon.”
They all headed out of the office and up to Harry and Ron’s one.
“Well, I think it’s a good idea we know what to do so why not.”
“I don’t know Harry, Lily and Hugo might not like it being coped up in one place the whole time.”
“Ginny, all the two of them can talk about is Hogwarts I don’t think they are going to have any objection to them going there earlier.”
“Well, Hermione and I are all up for it.”
“Then we’ll do it. Let’ go tell the minister.”
They all left the office again and headed up to the Minister. They knocked and walked in.
“Minister, we’ll do it.”
“Then I suggest you go and pack, you can take the floo network to Minerva’s office and she will meet you there.”
The four of them took the kids and went back down to the atrium and took the Floo network back to each of their homes and they began to pack.
At the Potters Harry was busy packing a couple of trunks for Him and Ginny while Ginny was busy packing a trunk for Lily.
“Mummy, why aren’t you telling me where we’re going. I want to know.”
“Lily, I have told you before we will tell you what we are doing when we get there but I promise you that you will be over the moon about it.”
“But Mummy I don’t like surprises. Where are we going?”
“Lily, if you keep asking we will leave you behind now let me pack for you.”
At the Weasely’s Ron was busy packing trunks for everyone while Hermione was going around the hose picking up random book from each of her defence classes from every year at Hogwarts. Eventually Ron and Hermione were done; they sent the trunks to Hogwarts and took the Floo network to the Potters. When they arrived they found Harry, Ginny and Lily waiting by the fireplace having sent the Trunks to Hogwarts already.
“You ready?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be, now let’s go we want to catch the feast”
With that Harry, Ginny and Lily stepped into the fire. Ginny dropped a handful of powder and Harry shouted, “HOGWARTS.” At that Lily’s face broke into a smile as they disappeared. Ron, Hermione and Hugo followed suit and before long they were all tumbling out into the Headmistresses office.

Chapter 4 Hogwarts

“Well, it’s about time you lot arrived I was beginning to get worried you’d changed your mind.”
“Minerva, how good to see you.”
“Likewise, well you only have a short time until the students arrive. Now normally the Defence teacher would have the office in the Defence room but seeing as there is so many of you your bedrooms have been moved so they are behind the portrait of Godric Gryffindor next to the Great Hall. It has been added for your benefit and is fully equipped for all your needs. Now at Meals you adults will eat at the staff table but the two children will be allowed to eat at the Gryffindor table so they can be under the watchful eye of your other children. We have done a teaching time table for you so only three of you are teaching at one time so they other was is free to take care of the children. Now I also have a request of you four. I wish you four to be joint heads of Gryffindor as our last one has left. What do you say?”
“Sure why not we can take the duties in turn then it’s less of a load.”
“Well the password for your rooms is Godric Gryffindor but you can change it after you have said the first password so students will not accidentally open it up when they notice who it is a portrait of.”
“Thanks Minerva, did our trunks arrive?”
“Yes they are up in your rooms, now I will see you at Dinner, you will sit at the staff table and the children will sit at the end of the Gryffindor table. When James arrives I will pull him aside so he can take care of them until Albus is sorted.”
“Thank you we will come down just before the Students arrive to get the kids settled. We should be off to our rooms now so we don’t have to worry about it later.”
“I will see you later then.”
Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione and the kids left the office and headed back down to the Great hall. When they arrived there they saw a portrait of Godric Gryffindor that had not been there before. They walked up to it and it stared at them intensely. “Password?”
“Godric Gryffindor.”
The portrait swung open and they went inside. They were in a small common room and there were four desks each in different corners. They guessed they were their teacher’s desks. On each of them there was a timetable and a note. Harry picked his up and read it.

Dear Harry,
I hope you found this room easily. As you can see you each have your own desk. As for your bedrooms. There are three staircases. You and Ginny’s is on the far left, Ron and Hermione’s, the far right. Lily and Hugo have the one in the middle so they are between both your rooms. To change the password of your room tell it the password then say change it will ask you for the new password and then it will be set. There is another door in your room. This is the library; you can find any books you need in here. You will need different ones for each of your classes. There has been one has been set for each year but you can give different ones out if you wish. The book lists are shown in the library for your convenience. Hope you enjoy your time here at Hogwarts. See you at dinner.
Minerva

As he finished reading the letter he looked around and saw the others were doing the same. Suddenly Hermione ran to the extra door in the room. Harry guessed she had just read the bit about there being a library. They all followed her and stood in the doorway looking at the biggest library they had ever seen. It was bigger than the school’s own library.
“Hermione, I’m sure we can look in here later, why don’t we go and take a look at our bedrooms.”
Ron practically dragged Hermione out of the room. Harry and Ginny followed them shutting the door behind them. The two kids were waiting patiently in the middle of the room waiting to be told where they had to go.
“Lily, Hugo why don’t you go up the middle staircase you might find your room is up there.”
The two kids ran up there and they knew they were gone for hours. The four adults went up into their own room. There was a double four poster bed and the rooms were decorated in Gryffindor colours. They were just like their old dorms but there was only one bed and there was a door coming out of it. Harry went and took a look. He walked into a massive bathroom. There was a swimming pool size bath, two showers, two sinks and very lush towels. Ginny came up behind them and looked in awe at what they saw.
“Well, this is much better than our old ones. We should probably stop staring. Let’s go and see what the kid’s bedroom is like.”
The two of them left the room and went back down to the common room. They met Hermione and Ron coming down out of their own room.
“Mate, have you seen the bathrooms we get.”
“Yes Ron I have and I must say I like it. We were just going to see what the kid’s room is like.”
“Same here lets go.”
The four of them went up the middle staircase and knocked on the door of the kid’s room. The door was thrown open by Lily and Hugo.
“Mummy, mummy, I love it can we stay here forever?”
“Darling, we will be here the whole school year and probably for Christmas as well, but we will have to go home at the summer, just like everyone else. Now why don’t you show me round your room.”
Lily grabbed Ginny and Harry’s hands as Hugo did the same with Hermione and Ron. They took them to their beds which were single four poster beds just like they had had when they were at school. Then they were taken into their own bathroom which was a smaller version of their own ones.
“It looks brilliant Lily, but it’s getting late and the students will be arriving soon so we should get down to the Great Hall.”
The four of them left the room and went back through the common room. Outside they found Minerva about to come in.
“How do you like your rooms?”
“Minerva, they look brilliant, thank you. How far away is the train?”
“it will be pulling up soon. But, first have you changed the password of your room as many students will notice it when they come in.”
“Of course, what should we change it to Harry?”
“How about, the Marauders. I think they deserve to have a bit of history here.”
“Brilliant. Let’s do it.” Hermione turned towards the portrait. “Godric Gryffindor password change.” The portrait didn’t swing open but began to talk to them. “What do you wish to change it to?”
“The Marauders.”
“Thank you your password has been changed to the Marauders.”
“Well that’s done shall we go and take our seats?”
“Yes of course leave Lily and Hugo at the Gryffindor table and I will catch James before anyone comes in and sees them.”
At this the group walked into the hall and walked up to the Head table. Before they reached it they sat Lily and Hugo at the Gryffindor table. They found their seats at the top table as a few more teachers arrived.
“Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny. How good to see you.”
“Neville, it’s been too long. We’ve been good. I hear you are teaching herbology here.”
“That is correct. But, what are you lot doing here?”
“We’re the new defence teachers, but I would take your place the students seem to have arrived.”

As predicted, as soon as Neville took his seat people started to come in. Minerva walked through the side door with James and he said hello to his parents with a shocked look and went and sat with Lily and Hugo.

Sorry it ended suddenly but it was getting rather long it was over two pages on word. I have already written up chapters 5 to 11 and i hope that they will go up soon. I won't give you an overload of chapters so i will spaced them out. Feedback HERE

Chapter 5 The students get a shock


Everyone took their seats and a lot of people were shocked to see two people under school age at the Gryffindor table until they noticed who was sitting at the staff table. There was a murmur of whispers going around the hall until the doors opened and Hagrid walked in with the new first years with him. Albus and Rose were near the front of the group. They formed a group at the front and Neville came down with the sorting hat. After the hat had finished his song Neville began to read names off a scroll. A few were sorted into different houses and soon, “Malfoy. Scorpios” was called. He went to the front and sat on the stool, Neville placed the hat on his head.
“Ah, another Malfoy, I would think to sort you into Slytherin but you family’s values seem to have changed. You have all shown great bravery as most of the wizarding world has shunned you. I know just where to put you. Gryffindor.” The hat shouted that last word and the hall went silent. The Gryffindor table began to clap but everyone was very shocked that a Malfoy should not be in Slytherin. After the din had settled Neville carried on reading names out. Soon Potter, Albus was called and the hall went very silent. At the staff table Harry and Ginny had leant forward as they had never seen any of their children sorted before. The hat was barley on his head before it shouted “Gryffindor” and Albus took his place with the rest of his family. After a while “Weasely, Rose” was called and just like Albus the hat was barley on he head it had screamed “Gryffindor.” She took her place and the sorting went on. It was soon finished and Neville took the hat and stool away. Minerva stood.
“Now, I will make my speeches later but for no, dig in.”
She sat down again and the tables were filled with food as everyone began to eat. After a while everyone’s plate was clear as the food disappeared again and Minerva stood up.
“To all new students, welcome, all old hands, welcome back. I would just like to remind you that the forest is out of bounds to all students. The list of banned items can be found on Mr Filch’s door. He also asked me to remind you that all Weasely products are banned. Now Out defence teacher has left and instead of replacing him with one teacher we have four new members of staff this year along with their two youngest children who will be staying here but not attending lessons as they are under age. I would like to say you must not bully them as they do not have their wands yet so cannot do magic as they are under Hogwarts age. The new teachers are, Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Ron Weasely and Hermione Weasely. They will share the lessons and you will have each of them at least once. Their office is next to the Great hall behind the portrait of Godric Gryffindor. If you wish to speak to one of them ask the portrait to notify one of them as it is a two-way portrait. Now your belongings have been put in your rooms and your bed awaits. Lessons start tomorrow so get a good night’s rest. I would like to speak to all Potter and Weasely children before they leave. Thank you and goodnight.”
The prefects began to lead the first years off to their dormitories and James, Albus, Lily, Rose and Hugo all went up to the front as everyone else left. Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione went down to meet them.
“Mum, Dad why didn’t you tell us you were going to teach here this year. We might not have been so shocked. People keep asking us why you are teaching here this year and we can’t answer them so why don’t you fill us on and then we can tell them.”
“Ok, number one we didn’t know we were going to be teaching here this year as we were only asked when me and Ron got to work after you had left. As to why we are teaching here, you may want to sit down.”
They all went down to the Gryffindor table and sat down. The kids sat down on one side and the adults on the other. Harry began to tell their story.
“In our fifth year just after Voldemort came back we started to have some trouble. The minister did not want to admit that he was back so he put it out that I was a liar and just looking for attention and that Dumbledore was going senile. Because the defence post was curse back then it was hard to find a teacher every year so the ministry placed the senior under-sectary Dolores Umbridge at Hogwarts as our teacher. Unfortunately she let us do no magic so it was clear that the ministry was trying to stop us learning magic so we could not, as they believed we were, form an army to overthrow them. So as Voldemort kept on attacking we decided that it was time we took matters into our own hands. Ron, Hermione and I formed the DA or Dumbledore’s Army as we called it. We took students from all years to the room of requirement and we taught them defence. Eventually Umbridge found us so we had to stop but we had taught everyone enough so anyone taking their OWLs or NEWT’s got E’s or O’s. When Minerva couldn’t find a new defence teacher this year she got the minister to ask us as she knew we could do it as we had done it before, in practise and in real life. So there is our story now James can you take Albus and Rose up to their rooms as they will have missed their introduction. Also just to tell you the Password for our room id the Marauders. But the reason behind that is another story for another day but we promise you now we are here you will probably get lots of questions about us so we promise we will tell you everything as we think you deserve to know now. Goodnight.”
James took this as the end of things and took Albus and Rose up to the Gryffindor common room and showed them to their rooms. Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione said goodbye to Minerva and took Lily and Hugo back into their room and seeing that the kid’s were very tired they sent them to bed. The four of them all went to their own desks and they each found a timetable with a note attached. Harry read his out loud
“These are your teaching timetables. I have made sure there is always at least one of you to watch the kids. Your lessons start tomorrow so you will need to have some sort of lesson plan to start of with. I have also given you all a copy of the syllabus for each year so you can make sure they have all the information they need for their tests.”
He looked at his timetable and saw that most squares were filled but he had at least one period free each day which he guessed was to look after the kids. He took a look at the other’s timetables and saw that his was easily the most filled up as the other’s each had one day off each.
“Hey how comes I have to do more work than all of you?”
“Harry, you were the main teacher of the DA. You are the one with the most experience and you are the one who knows the most about Defence. Also, the students will listen to you the most as they will want to learn from the greatest wizard there has ever been.”
“Hermione I’m not the best wizard ever, Dumbledore was, I am only second best as without him I could be dead and I know it. But, alright I get it now we should probably prepare some lessons.”

Chapter 6 Lesson Plans

They all went back to their desks and got to work. Harry took a look at his timetable and saw he had double fifth years, double first years, single seventh then a break last thing. He went into the library and took a look at the book list to see what his classes would have with them. As he looked at it the books he was after appeared in front of him. He took the books back to his desk and took a look through them. He was very pleased with the books set so went on to plan his lessons.
He started with the fifth years as he had already had some experience teaching them. He found it quite easy to plan for them so was done quickly. He then moved onto his first years and a she had not really taught them and couldn’t remember what his lessons were like in his first year he had to take a look through the syllabus and saw that they learnt a lot of theory and a bit of practical. He also saw that they had to learn a lot about one major battle that had been fought between wizards. He knew that this part would be easy as all he had to do was talk about his war with Voldemort.
He decided that he could spend his first lesson talking about that so had to plan very little. He finally went onto his seventh years and found this one the hardest as their work was the hardest so he would have to work extra hard to make sure that they got the best possible results. He soon finished and looked round to see what the others were doing.
The other three looked like they were coming to a close so he waited a while and soon they were all sitting around the warm fire again.
“It’s great to be back at Hogwarts isn’t it?”
“Course Harry, what would be better, hanging around, doing what we want, when we want and not getting into trouble. It’s what we always dreamed of.”
“Ron, you can’t do any of that stuff now. We’re teachers and we have to set a good example. We have to give out the punishments now.”
“Hermione let them have a little fantasy. We should get to bed you know, we have lessons to teach tomorrow so we can’t afford to be falling asleep in them. Come on Harry let’s check on the kids and get back to bed.”
Ginny and Harry got up and went up the middle staircase. They came back a few minutes later.
“They’re both fast asleep.”
With that they both went up the left staircase and they went to bed. Ron and Hermione soon followed suit and went up the right staircase to their own beds. Soon everyone in the teacher’s dorm was fast asleep. As was the rest of the castle.

Sorry its been a long time but I've been revising for my science GCSE's so I haven't had time to update but here it is so enjoy.

Chapter 7 Classrooms

Seven o’clock came and Harry and Ginny were being woken up by a little bundle of joy bouncing on their bed.
“Mummy, daddy you have to get up, get up, get up, get up.”
Lily continued bouncing until Harry sat up and picked her up carrying her until they were back in her room.
“Lily, we’re up now get dressed or you’re not going anywhere. Suddenly Ron came in holding Hugo. He put him on his bed and told him to get dressed. He turned to Harry and they both walked out together shutting the door behind them.
“You get woken up by a little jumping kid?”
“Yep, well we should be getting dressed, breakfast will have started and we need to get to our classrooms to see what it’s all like as they will have got a couple of new ones as three of us will all be teaching at one time.”
The two men went back up their own staircases and found their wife’s already in the bathrooms. Harry got dressed saying he would have a bath that night as he didn’t have time now Ginny was already in there. He went back down to the common room and saw Ron was already waiting on the sofa. He sat down next to him and they both talked about what it was going to be like teaching at Hogwarts and not just learning there.
“Harry, do you think it might be time to pass on a few items to your children.”
“Like what Ron?”
“Like a certain invisibility cloak and a certain map of Hogwarts.”
“Oh right, well I think James deserves them as he is about the age I got the map and he is older than I was when I got the cloak so I think it is only fair. We’ll give them to him later but we can’t do it while Ginny is around.”
They stopped talking as Ginny and Hermione came down the staircases. Ginny went back up the middle one and came down a minute later with Lily and Hugo.
The six of them went back out the common room and entered the Great Hall. There were a few students already there and as they walked up the middle every head turned.
They left Lily and Hugo at the Gryffindor table and took their places at the teacher’s table. They sat down and began to eat. Ron had developed some good eating habits now so was not gorging his face with the food but was still taking large portions. They were soon done and as they looked around they saw that their other kids had arrived and were sitting with Lily and Hugo.
“Hermione, who is looking after the kids first thing?”
“Ginny is, then me then Ron and finally you.”
“Ok thanks, me and Ron are just going to find out what the classrooms are like and just prepare for the next lesson. We’ll see you all at lunch.”
The two men left the table and saying goodbye to the kids they went back out the Great Hall and back into their common room. They both picked up their lesson plans and any books they needed and went back out again. They met Minerva as they were coming out and stopped to talk.
“Harry, Ron I was just coming to find you. You have probably worked out that we have added a couple new rooms so you each have your own teaching space. I will show you to each of your rooms as it may take you a while to work out which one is which. Harry, you have the old Defence room as you will be doing the most teaching. Ron you have a room near here. If you go up the main staircase you will find a new room that has your name on it. That is your room and is yours to decorate and set up how you wish to teach. The same applies to you Harry. You can rearrange the room however you wish. I have already told Hermione and Ginny where their rooms are so you are all set.”
With that she left the men and carried on her way. They went up the staircase and found Ron’s room he left Harry there and carried on to his own classroom. He arrived quickly and began to set up for his first class. Back with Ron, he was busy rearranging the room so the desks were all in a circle including his own. He made sure that everyone would be able to see him and he could walk around the middles and teach that way showing demonstrations in the middle and getting the students to do them as well. Harry was rearranging his room similarly but he was doing it in a semicircle so he could see everyone and not ever have his back to them. He had soon finished and had about half an hour until the lesson would start so he took this time to read through his lesson notes. About fifteen minutes before the lesson was due to start the first students began to arrive and took their seats around the semicircle. Soon everyone was there so Harry decided to start the lesson.

Chapter 8 First lessons

“Hey, I’m Professor Potter but you can call me Harry. This is your OWL year so we I will be working you hard. Now we have a double period so I decided that you may spend the first lesson asking me any questions about me or the course. I may not answer them all but I will give it a shot. So hands up please.”
Everyone had their hand up so Harry decided for a different approach.
“Ok, I will go around the circle and you can all ask me your question when I get to you. So let’s start this end shall we. Your question?”
“Why did Voldemort want to kill you in the first place?”
“That is an interesting question. Well, just after my birth a prophecy was made and it stated that a boy born at the end of July would be the one to vanquish the Dark Lord. It sated his parents will have defied Voldemort three times. A servant of Voldemort heard this but did not hear it all. The rest stated that the boy would be marked as Voldemort’s equal and would have power that he knows not. Having not heard this bit he went and after my parents killing my Father and then killing my mother while she was protecting me. This is where he made his mistake. By my Mother sacrificing herself she protected me with love, something he never understood. He was destroyed to almost nothing but he had made six things called horcruxes which kept him alive. This is why he was after me because he believed that if he got rid of me there would be no one to stop him. Next person please.”
“There are rumours going around that you spent a year in hiding leaving everyone suffer. Is that true?
“No, that is not true. I did disappear for a year but Ron, Hermione and I were busy searching for his horcruxes so that he could be killed. We had destroyed four of them when it came to the battle of Hogwarts and destroyed the last two there. Next person please.”
“What happened at the Battle of Hogwarts?”
“Ron, Hermione and I went into Hogwarts through a secret passage and no I am not going to tell you where it is. We knew there was a horcrux at Hogwarts so we just had to find it. We went to the Ravenclaw common room where I could see a statue of what we were looking for. A death eater at Hogwarts found us and called Voldemort. We managed to get away but he was already coming with all his Death Eaters. We notified the teachers and we evacuated the underage students and anyone who did not want to fight. We prepared for the battle and we searched for the horcrux. We found it and destroyed it. So there was only one left. His snake. We joined that battle and then I went to him as I had seen a memory that showed me what I needed to do. I let him kill me but I was his seventh Horcrux so instead of killing me he destroyed the horcrux. I played dead and was taken back to the castle. But by dying for them all I had protected them so no one else would die. The final battle was between me and Voldemort. I finally defeated him and the world is as it is today. Next question.”
“Is it true that you broke into Gringotts and escaped on a dragon?”
“Yes that is true. We had evidence that Voldemort had placed a horcrux there and we had to break in to a vault and steal it so we could destroy it. We had disguised ourselves so we did not look suspicious but we passed through the thief’s downfall which took away any disguise. We were exposed and they knew that there were imposters there. We had to quickly get what we wanted but we were trapped. Hermione released the dragon and we got on its back. We blast a hole through the wall and as soon as the dragon knew it was free it flew us away. We let ourselves down when it was soaring close to a lake. We set up camp there and continued with our mission. Our next stop after that was Hogwarts. Any more?”
“What are the Deathly Hallows? People say you were after them at some point. Did you ever get them?”

Chapter 9 Other lessons

“The Deathly Hallows. That is an old story. Is everyone familiar with the story of the three brothers? Raise your hand if you have never heard of it before.”
A few people raised their hands.
“Ok, you at the end, what’s your name?”
“Louisa.”
“Louisa can you go down to Professor Weasely’s lesson and ask him to get you the story of the three brothers from the dorm.”
“Which Professor Weasely? There are two.”
“Either one will do thank you.”
She left the room and Harry continued.
“We will come back to that question so for now continue with the questions.”
This went on for a couple of minutes while Louisa was going down to Ron’s lesson. She found his room and knocked on the door. She was called in so she opened the door. Ron was standing in the middle of the room and the students were around him.
“I’m sorry to disturb you but Professor Potter would like the story of the three brothers please.”
“Of course, class I will be back in a moment so please revise the theory of that spell until I come back. I will know if you have been using magic so don’t try it. What was your name again?”
“Louisa sir.”
“All right Louisa, you can come with me.”
He took her down to the entrance hall and went to their dorm. He muttered the password so Louisa would not hear and he took her inside. He left her by the door while he went to Hermione’s desk and searched for a book. He found it and gave it to Louisa.
“The story is in there, you should get back to your lesson now.”
“Yes sir.”
“And another thing, no more of this sir stuff it’s Ron ok.”
“Yes si- Ron.”
She left the dorm and returned to Harry’s lesson as Ron returned to his. He walked in and found them all hard at work. He didn’t believe it had been like that the whole time.
“Ok class well done. Now can you all please get your wands out and point them inwards.”
They all did so and he went around each wand muttering a simple spell.
“Well I am disappointed. I leave the room for 5 minutes and everyone has cast at least one spell. I expect more form my classes. If I tell you to not do magic then I expect you to resist doing so. If you cannot control yourselves I will confiscate your wands at the beginning of each lesson to stop you breaking my rules.”
“Ron, how did you know we had cast any spells? No one told you and you couldn’t have seen us doing it.”
“Well, I used a simple wand revealing spell. It shows the last spell a wand cast and seeing as I haven’t told you to cast the spell I am teaching you any wand that has cast it last must have done it after I had left the room.”
Ron spent the rest of the lesson going through the theory and practical the disarming spell as he only had a first year class.
Hermione was having a very good time with her class. She had a seventh year class and was very pleased at how they were working. She was teaching them various spells that could help them in the Auror field if that is the path they wished to take. She was very pleased with the text book they had and had set them work on the theory of the numerous spells.

Chapter 10 The Deathly Hallows story

Meanwhile, Louisa had arrived back in Harry’s lesson and had passed on the story book. Harry went back to the previous question of “What are the Deathly Hallows? People say you were after them at some point. Did you ever get them?”
“Well class, to go back to the previous question I will start by reading the story that started the hallows quest. Once upon a time there were three brothers. They were walking in the woods one day when they came across a fast running river. Being very skilled wizards they cast a spell to conjure a bridge across it. This upset Death who waited in this river waiting for helpless travellers to die trying to cross the river. However, he came out a pretended to congratulate the brothers for being so clever. He said that they could all receive a gift of their choice. The first brother wanted to humiliate Death so he asked for an unbeatable wand. Death went a made this wand himself using the bark from the elder wand. The second brother wanted to humiliate him even more so he asked for a resurrection stone. Death picked up a normal pebble and cast a spell aver it to make it reawaken the dead. The third brother asked for one simple thing, an invisibility cloak. An annoyed death gave him hi own cloak of invisibility. The three brothers went on their way but Death would have his fun. The first brother went into the nearby town and challenged everyone to duel against an unbeatable wand. He won every battle but as he slept a wizard cam and slit his throat and stole the wand so Death had captured the first brother for himself. The second brother used the resurrection stone to reawaken his lost lover. But, she was stuck between life and death and did not truly belong with him. This tormented him until he took his own life to be with her again. So death took the second brother. However the third brother hid under the cloak for his entire life and when he was old and dying he revealed himself to Death first passing on the cloak to his son, he went to death with open arms so Death had taken the three brothers for his own.”
He stopped talking and looked around. A lot of the class were alright, but a few were looking very confused. He decided to let them ask a few questions so the story to sink in.
“Does anyone have any questions about that story?”
A few hands went up. He asked them in turn and as one question was asked a few put their hands down.
“Is that story true?”
“Some people believe it was but most believe that the three brothers were just skilled wizards who created these objects themselves.”
A few more questions were asked and when everyone understood Harry continued.
“Questers would search for these objects. Dumbledore was one such quester. He searched for these objects with his young friend Grindelward. This is a relationship he later regretted. After an argument resulted in the death of Dumbledore’s sister Grindelward fled and left Dumbledore to carry the burden. Dumbledore stopped searching for the items. However Grindelward had found the elder wand and the magical community was counting on Dumbledore to stop him. He did defeat him so he won the wand. He however knew that he was only fit to carry the wand because he would not use it for evil or boast about having it. He had given up looking for the others when my father showed him his invisibility cloak. This explained how he had got around school unnoticed and it was also the cloak that Ignotus Prevell, the third brother in the story, had passed down through the generations. He had this on the night my parents died and he passed it on to me when I started here at Hogwarts. I did not know what it was until the final year of the war. Voldemort was after the elder wand because he knew it had special power but did not know that it was part of the deathly hallows. He did have the Resurrection stone in his possession as he turned it into one of his lifelines because he believed that it was a ring with his family crest on. In Dumbledore’s will, he left Ron, Hermione and I gifts which in turn helped us through the last year of the war. He gave Ron his deliumiator which helped him return to us when he left for reasons I am not going to tell you. He gave Hermione this book which gave us the story of the three brothers. He gave me the snitch I caught in my first ever quidditich match. Snitches have flesh memory so Dumbledore but a charm on it so it would reveal a message from him and would open when I was about to die. Or when I thought I would. The stone was in the snitch. I had two of the Deathly Hallows and Voldemort had the other. What he didn’t know was that you had to win the wand from his previous master. He did not win it from Dumbledore so he was not the true master of it. Draco Malfoy had disarmed Dumbledore so the wand was truly his, however I got Draco’s wand from him and the elder wand knew that its previous master had been defeated so the wand was truly mine. The wand chooses the wizard. During the final battle I fought Voldemort and I won the wand as it backfired and killed him. That was the end of the war. I used the wand to repair my own and then it was placed back in its rightful place with Dumbledore. I dropped the stone in the forest and I urge none of you to look for it as I will know. I still possess the cloak but only use it for my auror work.

Chapter 11 Spell time

The end of the first period came so Harry stopped taking questions. He decided that this class was able enough to learn the Patronus charm.
“Now, does everyone know what dementors are? Please raise your hand if you do not.”
No one raised their hand so he carried on.
“I am going to teach you a spell that will repel them. To perform this spell you must think of a very happy memory. The more powerful the memory, the more powerful the spell. I will let you think for a moment. When you have got your memory let it fill you up and let it be the only thing you think of.”
There was silence for a while. He let everyone choose a memory while he choose his most powerful as well.
“The incantation for this is Expecto Patronum. I will demonstrate how this spell takes form. I will first show it with a very weak memory. Then again with a very powerful one.”
He stood in the centre of the room. “EXPECTO PATRONUM”
A small waft of silver came out.
“That was the weak memory. Now I will show you the powerful one.”
“EXPECTO PATRONUM.”
A silver stag erupted from the end of the room and circled the room.
“That was the powerful one. Everyone’s patronus is different. Now I want you all to spread out and practise that spell. I will come around and help you all in turn. While I am busy keep trying. If it does not work or is very weak then try a different memory. It must be strong for it to work.”
Everyone got their wand out and stood up. Harry moved all the desks to one side of the room. And they all spread out. People began casting. There were a few wafts of silver but not many. Harry began to move around. He went to the people getting nothing yet. He asked them what their memories were and found that most of them were very weak. He got them all to think for different memories. By the end of the lesson only one person had mastered the spell.
“Ok, now for homework I would like you all to wrote down a few strong memories and try them out with the spell. If you are still having trouble next lesson I will try to help you out. Class dismissed.”
The class collected their things and left for their next lesson. Harry moved the desks back into the semicircle as his second class went in. This was his first year class. He was spending this lesson giving them their battle background information as they had to know about one for their end of year tests. This was an easy lesson to take as he knew exactly what he was talking about. The lesson passed very quickly and it was lunch time. Harry went to his dorm and left his teaching things there. Hermione was in thee at that moment looking after the kids.
“Hey Harry, have you had some good lessons?”
“They’ve been brilliant. My fifth years are really gifted and my first years were really interested in the battle background.”
“what battle did you tell them about?” Hermione already knew this answer but couldn’t help asking.
“Well, it was a hard choice but I had to go with the First and second wars. They are the only ones I really know much about. You know fighting in them does give you a bit of information about them. I mean the second one pretty much revolved around me.”
At that moment Ron and Ginny came in.
“Hey we should go and get some lunch. James, Albus and Rose are already in their so we can leave Lily and Hugo with them for the lunch break. They can show them around a bit.”
“Ok let’s go.”
The four adults and the two kids went out the room together and walked into the Great hall. They left the kids with the older ones giving them instructions to bring them back to their rooms at the end of lunch. The adults got some lunch and then went back to the dorm. Hermione was already busy preparing for her next lesson. Ginny decided to plan her lessons for the next day so she didn’t have to do them later. Ron and Harry took this opportunity to find James and give him some special presents.

Chapter 12 Special Presents

“Harry and I are just going to go for a walk, we might go and see if Hagrid is about. We haven’t seen him since we got back here.”
“Ok, just be back in time to teach your lessons, and Ron you’re the next one to look after the kids so don’t forget.”
With that Ron and Harry went out the common room shutting the door behind them.
“Have you got the stuff?”
“Yep, I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
The piece of parchment Harry was holding began to form into a map.
“James has taken all the kids down to see Hagrid. We can get him down there. Let’s go.”
They walked through the grounds to Hagrid’s hut. They saw James and the others inside. Harry knocked on the door and Hagrid came to open it.
“Harry. Ron I was hoping you would come and see your old friend soon.”
“We would love to stay and chat but we need to speak with James if we may.”
“‘Course, James your dad and uncle want to see ya”
James came outside. Hagrid closed the door and James looked at the men.
“What, I haven’t done something wrong already have I?”
“No James, we wanted to give you a few things.”
They handed James the Cloak and the blank parchment.
“What are these? Why would I want an old cloak and a spare piece of parchment?”
“Ron why don’t you put the cloak on he might change his mind when he sees how good it look on you.”
Ron took the cloak and put it on. He disappeared. James looked very socked.
“Ok, now I want the cloak, but what’s with the parchment? I know it must be more than a piece of old blank parchment.”
“There son you are right. I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
The map began to reveal itself.
“This is the marauders map. Messers Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs. Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black and James Potter, my father. They were the marauders together again. They made this map while they were at school there. It shows every person in the whole school and where they are. It also shows seven secret passage ways out of Hogwarts. Filch knows about most of them. He doesn’t know about the one below the Whomping Willow, but McGonagall does. If you are going to use them use the cloak as well. Just remember when you’re done say mischief managed or anyone could read it.”
“Thanks, dad. But, does mum know about these.”
“She knows I have them but she doesn’t know that I gave them to you. If you see her then hide them well. We need to go now to set up for the last lessons. See you later at dinner.”
Ron handed James the cloak and Harry left him the map as they went back up to the castle. James went back inside and showed the other’s what he had been given. Hagrid didn’t seem that surprised by them so James decided that he must have known about them.

Chapter 13 Final lessons

Lunch passed quickly and everyone had to return to their classes. Ron returned to the dorm as it was his turn to watch the kids. He decided that he would show them around the grounds a bit as neither Hermione nor Ginny would have done that. The other three went off to their lessons. Harry had a single period of seventh years. He head off of to his room to find the whole class was already there. They were all milling around talking and waiting for him to arrive.
“Good morning class, can you take your seats please.”
He waited until they were all seated and silent before continuing.
“This is your NEWT year so we will be working very hard. I should mention now that I did not do my NEWT’s. I missed my seventh year as Hogwarts was in the control of death eaters and I had a 10 thousand galleon price tag on my head. But, don’t think that I don’t know what work you will have to be doing. I had to do all of it to complete my auror training. I am not going to pretend that you will not have to work hard. But, if you put the work in and try to do everything first time and learn the theory as well as the practical you will have no problem getting O’s in your exams. We will begin this lesson by reviewing the other school years. It may seem pointless but if you know the basic spells then it will help you to easily produce harder spells. This year I do not want to hear any verbal spells as by this year you should be able to do most non-verbally. We will start off with a simple disarming spell. This may seem pointless but it has saved my live many times and it is a useful spell to use as if it is used and is effective then it will be a very short duel. Split up into pairs. You will all try to disarm your opponent and the other will try to deflect it. Begin.”
They all split into pairs and began duelling. There were some good blocks and some people were even managing to disarm their opponents because the strength behind their spell was more powerful than the shield. Harry went around the room and was helping them to perfect their shields as well as perfecting their disarming as well. By the end of the lesson everyone could perform them in a split second and they were definitely up to NEWT standard. Harry was very pleased with this and knew that this class would have no problem with this year. He left at the end of the lesson and went back to the dorm. He found a note from Ron telling him he had gone out with the kids. He also said that he would leave them at Hagrid’s if he didn’t get back to the dorm in time before the next lesson. He put his cloak on and ventured outside.

Chapter 14 Babysitting and a visit

Harry went down to Hagrid’s and knocked. He heard Lily and Hugo. Lily was talking away and Hugo was answering quietly. Hagrid cam and answered the door.
“’Arry, finally, I thought you weren’t coming. Ron had to dash off so he left the kids here. You can take them now I need to go and see to a unicorn in the forest. She’s just given birth and the foals run off, we think there might be somethin’ wrong.”
“Thanks Hagrid. Come on Lils, Hugo you too. Why don’t I show you around a bit more. I think I know of a few places Ron wouldn’t have taken you to.”
The two kids ran out and Harry, after saying goodbye to Hagrid came after them. He took them to the trophy room and showed them all the different awards. Then he took them up to the owelry and showed them all the different owls. His own owl came down to say hello before flying back up into the rafters. Seeing that the kids were getting tired he took them back up to the dorm. After putting them to bed and casting a spell over the room to notify him if there was any trouble, he went back out and headed up to Minerva’s office. He told the password; Gummy worms, Minerva had kept up Dumbledore’s old tradition of mugge sweets, and ventured up the stairs. He knocked on the door and it swung open. He could not see Minerva anywhere so turned to leave before hearing something.
“Harry.”
He looked around and found himself face to face with Dumbledore.
“Professor, I’m surprised, I would have thought you would have asked for more furniture to be added by now.”
Smiling Dumbledore replied, “Well, it is about time that you came back to teach here. I told Minerva she should have asked you right off when they first started to search for one after the battle. But, alas she did not but at least now she has taken my advice and got you here, not forgetting the other’s of course. They must be teaching now, correct?”
“Yes, I’m on kid duty, Lily and Hugo are fast asleep so I decided to come and pay Minerva a visit but she doesn’t seem to be here.”
“No, she never gave up her position as transfiguration teacher. I had hoped that you might bring the kids up; I have not seen the latest additions yet. And, I seem to have noticed that James has been handed down a few items.”
“How did you know?”
“I do tend to travel around the castle and as you know I do know how to see the signs of an invisibility cloak, even if I am only a portrait. I thought it was time you passed those along, it is not like you need a cloak to keep you invisible anymore. You are one of the best auror’s around. I hear that there are still some death eaters around, or are they just wizards who wish they had been death eaters and are trying to get a bit of respect.”
“The latter is correct but I am sure you already knew this.”
“You know me too well Harry but you should be getting back to the children now as the lessons will be finishing soon.”
After saying goodbye Harry went back to their common room and checked on the kids again. After seeing that they were bath still sound asleep he went to wait in the common room until the others came back. He did not have to wait long as about 2 minutes after he had sat down Ron and Hermione walked in. They sat down with Harry.
“Harry, where are Lily and Hugo?”
“They’re in bed, after being shown round the castle I think they will be asleep for a couple of hours still. Don’t worry they’re fine.”
They waited a little bit longer until Ginny walked in. After checking on the kids she joined the others on the sofa.
“So, how does it feel to be the one teaching now? I found it rather weird being the one up the front. I got into it as the day went on though. How about you lot?”
“I found it really natural. I think that doing the DA has helped me to know how students learn quickest.”
“You might be right there Harry. I found that knowing all the set books has helped me today as I don’t have to be constantly looking things up in books before I can teach the class.”
“Hermione, you are the only person I know who can lean seven books off by heart after reading them once. I found that listening to what the students say actually helped me to know how to teach them. I never realised before how much the teachers needed your feedback to teach us. No wonder some teachers couldn’t teach us, we neverealized to them and showed them how.”
They all talked some more about how it felt being teachers when they heard a small voice on the stairs.
“Mummy, I’m hungry.”
They all looked round to see Lily standing at the bottom of the staircase. Ginny went over and picked her up.
“It is time we went to dinner. Hermione, why don’t you go and see if Hugo is ready as well.”
Hermione went up the staircase and came down with a sleepy looking Hugo.
“He may be half asleep but he still wants his food. Come on lets go.”
The group left the room and turned into the Great Hall. There were already quite a lot of people in the hall so they went down the middle and dropped the two kids off with James, Albus and Rose with instructions to go to their rooms after to wait for them. The adults headed up to the teachers table and took their seats.

Chapter 15 An unexpected surprise

Harry and Ron began a conversation with Neville.
“So Harry, Ron how have you found being teachers. If it was anything like it was for me you are probably felling quite shell shocked now am I right?”
“Neville, you know us too well. I did however find that the days of the DA have really helped with my teaching skills. It was still quite a shock to be the one at the front and not a student though. Ron had a different experience though.”
Ron stopped eating at this point and rejoined the conversation he had tuned out of.
“Yes, I found it rather fun to be a teacher. Surprisingly I found it quite natural. I picked up the signs to look for in my classes very quickly. I shouldn’t really be surprised though. I mean I did marry a born teacher so I obviously know a bit about them.”
“How right you are Ron. And I have a story for you two as well. I took this job so I had an income, but on the side I have been a keen herbologist experimenter. I have been looking for a cure for people who have had their minds damaged by the cruciatius curse, like my parents.”
“And? Have you had any breakthroughs yet then?”
“As a matter of fact, I have. I think I may just have found the cure. You know mandrakes can restore petrified people but can kill with their screams.”
“Yeah.”
“And that Gillyweed can let you breath under water for an hour.”
“How could I forget that, but what about them?”
“I worked out that if you used the Gillyweed and then let the mandrakes scream then it restores memory. The Gillyweed stops the Mandrakes killing and the mandrakes scream triggers the brain cells to work faster sop restores the memories that had been lost. I finally did it. As soon as my discovery has been verified than I can get my parents back.”
“Neville, that’s brilliant. I always knew that you would find a cure one day. I’m so happy that you can get to see your parents normally again. I wish I’d had that chance but I’m really glad you do. If you need someone to back your findings we would happily do it.”
“Thank you Harry. Actually I do need an Auror’s reference to say that I don’t have any prejudice against my parents that would mean I would want to harm them on purpose.”
“Of course Neville. We would happily give you that. Anything to help you out.”
At that point they noticed that the kids had already left the table and were probably waiting for them in their rooms. After finishing their desserts the four of them left the table and headed out back to their rooms where just as they suspected they found all the kids waiting for them.
