OY. im an official Harry Potter addict. Lately, I find myself wishing I was a witch and that Hogwarts really exists. Sometimes, it actually makes me really sad that it doesn't. Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I the only one?! Maybe it's just because the stresses of real life get me down, but... I SOO WISH IT WAS REAL.

You're not the only one! I spend all of my time daydreaming about it, then get all upset when I realise its not real. I would love to be a witch, or to live in the Harry Potter world at least. It's very upsetting to realise there is no way at all to make this happen, that you just have to get on with life! Which is a bit difficult when you spend all your time thinking about it...

oh definitely -- I would just love the whole HP world to be real! The storyline is such a great escape from real, day-to-day life, and it's wonderful to have another place to which your mind can wander off. I can't even imagine how excited I would be to find out the whole thing is true!

For me it does exist - in my head.
But I really do wish it all existed, like the movies aren't enough for me, and if i was ever to be involved with the movies and act like its real it wouldn't be enough. For christmas my brother bought me a wand - Sirius Blacks wand

- and I find myself just wishing that it was realy and that I could do magic. Kind of immature for someone who's just about to turn 17 but I've always wanted it to be real. I've grown up with Harry for 10 years!

and I just wish it was real.
I remember when I turned 11 actually being really really upset because I didn't get my Hogwarts letter.
I used to play Harry Potter with my brother and my friend when we were like 8 years old

we would be up the top of the street with sticks that were wands and we'd pretend that we were Harry, Ron and Hermione =P
I do wish it was real though, like I can escape into my own little Harry Potter world whenever I want, but I wish that I could escape into an actual Harry Potter world!!

We used to play Harry Potter too! We'd get a bag with all our 'spellbooks' in it and have pretend lessons, only in classes like astromony (We didn't know what that was back then) we'd just sit around staring at the clock. We also played quidditch- we stuck an old broom on the swing, then tried to fly! (Do
not try this at home, it really, really hurts!

)
I remember being sad when my Hogwarts letter didn't turn up, and last year I still kept an eye open for my brother's! (He made me one anyway which was nice...

I am desperately waiting the encyclopedia JKR is supposed to publish someday cause I feel like I want to know EVERYTHING there is to know about the world...make it more real

I think every day I wish it was real? It would be such an amazing escape from the real world. Not just because everything is so much easier, but just because everything is so much more interesting. It's more intelligent, too.

T'would be an awesome world to live in. I love the whole mystery, magic, everyone-knows-everyone feel to the Harry Potter world. Something about the rain that reminds me of Harry Potter a lot of the time. The rain-cloaks, Hagrid meeting Harry and the Dursleys in that lighthouse-on-the-rock in The Philosopher's Stone, love all that stuff.
It doesn't get me down that it doesn't exist, but it's a nice daydream to imagine that it did.

I feel like this all the time, especially after a really bad day at school and I think that if I could go to Hogwarts everything would be right. Except for the fact that I'd fall for Ron, Seamus, Draco, and Professer Snape. Oh... choices....

I think alot of us wish it was real, too. I'll sit there in class and day dream about it, then I realize it's not real. But it would be really cool if it DID exist. I'd be insane though. I'd like crucio anybody who made me really mad lol.

I've fallen asleep in class and dreamt about me living in Harry Potter and it was real.. I wish Harry Potter was real not sometimes but all the time!! I get on my family's nerves talking about Harry Potter and Daniel Radcliffe. I really need to get a life. I live for Harry Potter!!!

Some of you say you used to play Harry Potter... Heh heh... I still do. Me and my friends have a little Harry Potter club called the daughters of the Marauders. We meet once a month, talk about harry potter, etc...
It would be so cool if Hogwarts was real and stuff. But then, maybe it does and we're just muggles who don't know what's going on.

I'm going to be optomistic and thing that's what's going on.

Very cool
forsaken_wolfess. I would join a club like that if there was one here where I live.
I haven't day-dreamed about it, I got too much stuff rolling around in my mind to go off day dreaming

. However, I do catch myself sometimes thinking: "dang wouldn't it be cool if I could wave a wand and all this would be done in mere seconds". Ya, that would be awesome. Then I start to wonder. If there was a Hogwarts, would I get in? I definitely would want to...

Wow! I love Harry Potter sooooooooooooooooooo much! I was stupid and right now my sister is. One day a friend brought in an article about qudditch and I only knew about from watching the first movie. I knew she would be nagging on me if I didn't start soon so I started later that day. I was so quickly hooked that it was all I could think about. I was like how much longer until I can go to the libaray and so on. When I finally got to the seventh book my school libaray was out (cause they only had
two copies) then a whole week later I went to my public libaray and they had 75 copies!

Yes yes I know, but you have the right to know.
Once I was addicted I couldn't get off and I still can't. Today in class we had to make a story chart of a place we wanted to go and I chose Diagon Alley! My teeacher for that class was a HP fan also and she hasn't seen it! Once I knew this wasn't going to work for many reasons, I called out Accio just so I could hear and as excepted nothing happened!

I would love for it be real, life would be a lot easier. People would have to not ask for help all the time and everything but help will always be given in dire circumstances. Just thinmking of it being real makes me long for it. Oh, to wish, to wish...

I have a feeling that's why we all read these books... Because the world in this book is so magical and slightly humorous. And it's got awesome food. Come on, would anyone else besides me just go for the pumpkin pasties, cauldron cakes, or pumpkin juice?

oooh i've been wishing since i began reading the first book! i became so hooked on the books (and still am!) that i constantly imagine living in that worl especially when im bored in school, i always imagine the lessons i could be in. i find it really relaxing sometimes, its just a way of escaping the real world and letting your imagination go... hehe im imagining it all right now

It would be sweet beyond sweet if Hogwarts and stuff was real. I mean, if someone was annoying you, you could just do a spell and 'POOF' they'd shut up. Some political debates need someone doing that.
A lot of times when school is really boring (91.5% of the time) I daydream, imagining I'm in a class with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Along with all my other friends. It's like my class and Harry's class merge. And I come up with some weird ideas in that, let me tell you!

Sometimes, I do wish that it was all the real, it'd be just perfect wouldn't it, knowing that there really is such a thing called magic. But then again you think, if it is real, then why I am on this computer, I'd be a witch if it was real, so we all the get the feeling that it doesn't exist

Of course I wish it was real. I day dream all the time about what I would be doing with the trio, what role I'd play in the storyline, and all that good stuff. It's so wonderful to think that something like that is real. Boy, do I wish it was real...

I do this quite frequently. I compare my lessons to the HP ones (well, sometimes) and just wish i could do certain spells at certaing times. Like Accio, Scorgify, Silencio and many others. It would make life so much easier. Don't you agree??

On my 11th birthday, I nearly cried because I didn't receive a Hogwarts letter.

It was a sad, sad birthday. My little bro thinks it really exists and waves chopsticks around like they are wands, and rides his tiny broom like he can fly, and wants to play quidditch when he grows up. I really don't want to be the one to break it to him that it's all imaginary.

Oh! I wish it was real so so many times a day... Mostly because of this great line that I saw on

QUOTE
Because it's so much easier to wave a stick of wood, than to actually get up and do it yourself.
It is simply so true! Hahaha!
Now, seriously, I love the magical world, knowing about dragons and unicorns, and the fact that there is much more beyond the things we see and touch. Flying on a broomstick, brewing potions and reading minds seems so extremely appealing that it's possibility is hard to get over. I wish it was true, and I refuse to believe I'm a simple muggle! It's just that the owl couldn't make it so far and got sick on its way trying to deliver my letter...

Maybe it is real... you just have to believe it to see it.
Okay, maybe not, but I too wish it were. I was in middle school when the first book came out, and as a book nerd, I was the first one and perhaps only one of my friends that actually read it. I played "Harry Potter" alone, letting my imagination run wild. Now, I play it with the kiddo and she's as big of a Harry Potter freak as I am and she's only 2!

[size=2] I don't always find myself day- dreaming about magic exsisting for real, although I guess as a writer I do day-dream a lot about magic in general... wouldn't it be exciting to really discover that secret world, hidden out there somewhere... maybe real magic is out there in plain view, and none of us have found it yet!

i so wish that the Harry Potter world was real. My friends and i always pretend to play harry potter, even now that we're freshmen in high school. We would even make up our own stories that branch off of the books and the movies. magic would definitely be a great thing in my life. i imagine that the Harry Potter world is real all the time, everyday. Even in school i feel like i'm in Hogwarts because our school's bell is music from Harry Potter. It's really funny. We're like Oh My God, this is on HARRY POTTER! how dorky are we?

I'm definetly obsessed. I read the first book when I was 10, so by when it came to me turning eleven. I pretty much sat by my window waiting for an owl. I was upset that it never came. It seems like such an adventurous world. And I love it.
One time, we played a prank on my friends little sister. She was 10 at the time. We made a very authentic-looking Hogwarts Acceptance letter. We melted down a red candle for the seal and everything. We threw a bundle of sox at her window, and dropped the letter on her window-sill. She picked it up, and ripped it open and started screaming. She ran out of her room shouting, "Mom I'm a witch! I'm going to Hogwarts! When can we go to Diagon Alley!!!" And when we told her the truth, she cried for almost three days. We felt bad, but it was funny.

We all would like to live in harry potter's world but look at my signature and think about it...
You don't have to do spells or fly on a broom to live the magic-it's all inside you and around the world that we live-we just have to find it...
When you are walking with your girl/boyfriend on the rain and you kiss each other for the first time-isn't that magical?
When people really admire you-don't you feel magic like you're immortal, you can do anything....
That's the kind of thing that we must experience to make our world magical...

I wish it was real. I think everyone that enjoys reading the books would have to want it to be real, because I think that's why everyone becomes so obsessed with the books (including me!) JKR created these characters that everyone can relate to and a word that everyone wishes were ours. It's perfect, the right amount of adventure and excitement and anything you could ever want. I think about HP all the time! I'm constantly re-reading all the books and pretending that maybe one day, I'll finally get my Hogwarts letter!

Holy crow, yes. I had gotten into the Harry Potter phase before i turned eleven. so i kept hoping and dreaming SO BAD for an owl to some how show up and give me a letter. There wasn't a single day that went by when I didn't honestly wish that i'd end up in hogwarts instead of junior high. years have gone by but i still wish for it all to be true. magic entices me and it would just be so ahmazing to have powers of my own. Not to mention actually having a whole secret world that we know nothing about.

I convinced myself that it really does exist and j.k. rowling found out about it and decided to write a book..i'm 15 years old but i'm still waiting for my letter to come.....

*Sigh* Just HOW cool would it be if it were real?! The Harry Potter world seems perfect. Alright, there are Death Eaters and crazy teachers and a stupid Ministry... but still, it looks so much better than this world! I think Hogwarts is the best place in the world. Going to school in such a huge and old castle, with so many mysteries and secrests... and then the food (really, how can it be that at the end of the year not everyone is twice as big as in the beginning? With all these awesome meals?) and the trips to Hogsmead (I wanna have a sweet shop like the one there

) and when it snows, all looks so beautiful and you can have snowball figths outside... and the cozy common room... and all the magic...
I'm day dreaming again

You know, I not only wish that the whole Hogwarts-world really exists, sometimes I find myself 'believing' it really exists, like JK Rowling is just someone who writes a biography of a real wizard called Harry Potter who wants to bring out the magic-world to the muggles.
And well I'm 20, so that's just plain odd!!
Of course I'm fully aware that the whole book is fiction, but... from where I see it, it's just my subconscious who makes my mind 'believe' that the book is a biography so that I can escape the harsh world we live in.
Yeah I know it's silly, but as long as that gives me a bit of happiness, right

Oh, I definitely wish it was all real.
I would love to be a witch, and have the chance to go to Hogwarts. Not only that, but I think living in the wizarding world would give someone a very good idea as to what kind of person they are. Give them a deeper understanding of themselves, you know. For example, it's not always easy to pinpoint "what your worst fear is (boggart)" or "what your patronus would be".
Having the chance to meet a boggart and find out what your worst fear is first-hand would be very interesting and I think most of us would be surprised. Take Mrs. Weasley for example... her boggart turned into her family members' lifeless bodies. That says that she values family above all else. Maybe your boggart would turn into "a big hairy spider", or maybe there's something you fear even more than that, and you didn't even realize it?
I think about little things like that.
The patronus would say just as much about you, too.
It would be so cool to
really, honestly, find out what my boggart/patronus/anything else would be in the magical world.
On another note... I've got high hopes for this Harry Potter theme park that's coming soon. I would give almost anything for a "day in the Magical World".

Of course!!!! when we were in 7th grade we used to boil potions and make wands out of tree branches

it was so funny and at the same time so sad because it was all an ilusion, nothing was real. So yeah, I would defenetly want all this to be real. I wouldn't mind it to be real just for a day. To discover a new world in which you don't have to get off your bad and search for the remote control. And above all, to actually see Hogwarts. At first, I though the castle from the film was real, at least some parts of it. I almost cryied when I found out it was made on a computer.
Who would be completly insane about this book and not desire for it all to be true?
