Least favorite movies ... There's a favorite movie thread so I decided to make the "Least Famorite Movie" thread. Alright what did you guys think about Anacondas: The Hunt For The Blood Orchid? What I thought was an horrific waste of talent. Far too much time is spent on this inane plotline about discovering the flower of youth and worst of all - for a film entitled Anacondas - you were lucky if you caught a glimpse of a steroidal serpent.

MOD EDIT : Can you not subsititute asterisks for swear words please? There's really no need for it. Thanks.

I've never seen that movie but if its the one i'm thinking of it stared J. Lopez so i am not at all suprised that its rubbish.

My absolute least favourite film would have to be the Blair witch project.
There was no plot, the 'actors' could in no way act and there was no reason given for why anything happened.
I couldn't wait for it to end so i could leave the cinema. Even thimking about it now brings back painful memories. dry.gif
TomIsHott
omg i have never seen Napolean Dynamite but i think it was just a HUGE waste of money and time
brkn promises x
Hahahah. One of these kids in my class loves that movie. He said that you can only appriciate it if your a geek... dry.gif Hmm...... I wonder why. laugh.gif

Haha you must be refering to 'Gigli'. Yah, no one liked that disgrace of a movie.

It's strange you didn't like Napoleon Dynamite. Well, not strange, becuase you intitled to your own opinions and all that, just weird how it was so popular around my school. It was practically the MOVIE OF THE SUMMER laugh.gif . I personally don't see why. It was a really random movie.

One of the stupidest movies I've ever seen- The Day After Tomorrow. Ok, the cgi was good, but it had the most idiotic plot imaginable. mad.gif SO STUPID!
Princess_Hermione
OMG!!! I like that movie Napoleon Dynamite and it was a pretty good movie. I rented it last week and I saw this movie which stars Howard Stern called Private Parts, which is pretty funny. I liked the part when he plays Fartman in some MTV awards show and when he and his wife were dancing to AC/DC at NY's Central Park. Anyway, when I saw Napoleon Dynamite, the guy pretty much reminds me of this guy (who I'm friends with) at my school, who I still have a crush on.

worst movie ever = From Justin to Kelly
whoever thought of the idea of a weirdo with an afro and a the winner of American Idol making a movie was absolutely insane.
it was so horrible that it was taken out of my local movie theatres early.
yes, people hated it that much.
that is all.
Darren
Oh I could be here all day.

Starship Troopers 2 and the The Aviator are two that come to mind
RG's Babe
i thought the aviator was great! but From Justin To Kelly stunk. i hated it. anbother movie i saw and hated was....dang i cant remember! oh well i fi think of it i'll let ya'll know.
Dreamgazer
"Freddy Vs. Jason" was a load of garbage. Don't have it, but seen it in a movie.
RG's Babe
ok i remembered my least favorite movie anf the worst movie: The Grudge. it totally sucked. it wasnt the least bit scary and it had no story at all.
*~emma~*
Hmm...I think The Matrix and Men In Black are waste of moneys!
zyra123
I watched the Elektra last month with my sister and I was a bit disappointed with it. Although you could say I was exhilarated with the first 15 minutes... there's a splendid bit of Jason Isaac in it... pity he had to die though... dry.gif For the rest of hours, I remained in my seat for a good view of the fighting sequence. But overall, the story is just flat for me.

I dunno... thing is, the fighting between Elektra and the 'bad guys' gets more lame from the previous. Especially the final four. Aren't they suppose to be terrifying? Instead, one of them was 'extinguish' by a fallen tree... rolleyes.gif And the one who harbors loads of animal inside him by having tattoos all over his body died by a simple twist of his neck (if I'm not mistaken... but it was simple enough, *that* I remember). I was like, 'What? That's all it takes to kill them?? Shesh...'

Meh... full of junk, that one... wink.gif

But The Matrix... hmm.... *that* one I like... biggrin.gif not that it shows some (okay, loads of) girl power, the plot was not bad and the fighting sequence was excellent!! Which part don't you like, Emma? wink.gif
Rickmansmissus
I loved the Matrix, I guess if you aren't a geek...well... biggrin.gif

I didn't like Bring it on again (sequel to Bring it on), I found it really boring and repetitive.
I also disliked the Day after Tomorrow, it was a combination of all the disaster movies cut and pasted together.
Tuitus
The Matrix trilogy was created by comic book writers, and Men In Black is a comic. So to each his/her own.
Catwoman was bad too. Why Halle, why?
One movie I hope never to encounter is "Soul Plane", an American movie. dry.gif
It reflects such a insidious stereotype, just makes my blood boil.
Sorry if it offends anyone...
Souljacker
The first Matrix as an epic movie, IMHO the Plot was brilliant, it really made me think. When I was walking out of the Cinema could this happen?! Could this be happening?! For me anyway not to many sci-fi shows have this effect, no matter how brilliant they are tongue.gif

The Second two for me were huge disappointments, the special effect where way over the top to the point where any realism which could have be taken from the ideas paved out in the first Matrix was zapped out of the action scenes. The plot was boring to say the least and so confusing that I found I could take little out of either film by the end of it.

For the amount of money spent on the films the ratio of cost (of the movie) to quality (of the move) would probably IMHO make the Matrix Revelations and Reloaded some of the worst moves out there (at least in relation to value for money).

This movie I watched was so bad, I don't even remember the name! It was about this man acting with a whole bunch of cartoon charactors, like Bugs Bunny, and all the others that I can't remember their names. I fell asleep during the middle of it. Anchorman was pretty bad too.
Louise
Erm....Space Jam, maybe? I haven't seen it to be fair, so I can't comment on whether it was any good. We sold enough copies of it though when I used to work at Woolies...although that might have had something to do with the fact that it was £2.99 with any other purchase.... tongue.gif

Not really my thing, I'm afraid. I really hate gimmick movies.
TheSpecialist
the borest movie ever for me has to be cat in the hat it got really lame and not that funny.
Esrb99
Napoleon Dynamite. Worst 2.5 hrs. of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The total wastest of money is the last installment of the Matrix. I went to the cinema thinking it would be quite good, considering the Matrix:Reloaded was alright. And it was utter rubbish. It left you hanging there with a ton of questions waiting to be asked and thats it, the trilogy is over.

I have to admit that I've seen Starship Troopers 2. I thought the first one was quite cool in a sad way. Bu the second one had no plot whatsoever. Full stop.
Ygraine
The second Matrix movie was confusing and rubbish. But i think the worst film ever has to be A.I it's sooooo bad! Alfie's pretty bad too, as is closer. In fact Jude Law films! I have nothing against the actor he's half decent and is quite hot, only the fact that all the films that i've seen him in (there aren't that many i confess) but they've all been really bad so...

Phenonomen (sp) with john Travolta is pretty awful as well, i fell asleep watching that in the cinema. It's 2 hours that i won't get back *sigh*.

Has anyone seen school for seduction? its "supposed" to be a light-hearted comedy about a few girls from newcastle, uk, getting lessons on how to impress men...

OH MY GOD! the biggest load of...um..well it was an awful movie!!

i suggest you sooooo DONT watch it!
NooB-SaIBoT
The worst movies I've ever seens are The Village and 28 days later
kipsy
The absolute worst movie I have EVER seen, (and will probably ever see, for that matter) was that stupid Dickie Roberts movie . I hated and despised it right from the beginning. It was completely un-funny and stupid and what a waste of time and money for everyone. It was garbage really.

Any Mary-kate or Ashley movie. If a party shows one of those one more time.... dry.gif
spanish_potter
Pfff there are many stupid movies, but the worst is Alien vs. Predator. Horrible...
chochang88
I think that Napoleon Dynamite was a great movie! but that's just me well the worst movie was definetly Ellla Enchanted but don't get me wrong the book was incredible for those who haven't seen please do the movie a favor read the book!

Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

That film was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love TimBurton!!!!!!!!!! Best director like...ever (ok maybe second to alfred hitchcock or summat)

he's really required taste, you have to like the strange eerieness of his films, they're really dark...

Nightmare Before Christmas is his best, did really good with the batman films too and Edward scissorhands.

*realises she should get back on topic*

Oh, Alexander was awful too, you know that film with Colin farrel...urgh. so bad. I don't particularyly like these big epics, like Troy, Alexander and Gladiator, which i fell a sleep in, not my cup of tea. Give me Tim Burton any day.

Bouncing soul
That is a good movie and I dont even like thoes type of shows. It was really well done.

For the worst movie I would say Remember the Titans.

It was Grotesque

from justin to kelly.its okay i guess but ya know....it was kinda pointless. dry.gif
Ms.Know-it-all
I would have to say all Hilary Duff movies. They're pointless, all with the same plot. dry.gif And Hilary has only like 3 facial expressions.( blink.gif ) And her recent one "The Perfect Man" was given only 1.5 stars out of 4. I didn't see it, but I trust the critic. wink.gif

Thanks so much for the welcome.
And by the way, I dont think my post was meaningless as the rules says, it was my options of movies. I´m new yes, ignore the wholes massives rules..
OK I will refrain, definitely.
ashleigh07
Yes it was your option of movies, but what's the point of being a part of the forums if you're just going to list stuff? Like I said, the forums is a place for discussion. Listing stuff like that is just a waste of bandwidth.

And btw, I don't take kindly to sarcasm. Not giving yourself a very good start are you?

If you have anything more to say to me, please take it to PM. Or if you think I'm being unfair, you are welcome to PM the other mods and see what they think.

Back on topic, folks!!
Anglophile92
well of course for me i'd say Napoleon Dynomite is a complete waste of two hours.......
it's really funny at times, but it's boring all the time.....
i regret watching it...i actually fell asleep......

Also i can't stand any Ashley and Mary-Kate movies...New York Minute....like what's the plot...BORING! biggrin.gif
The-Fat-Lady
For me I would have to say my worst film at the moment is Ladies In Lavender - anyone seen it?
I found it really pointless as it is about this guy who gets swept ashore and these two old ladies find him, and in the movie I was expecting at some point to find out who he was/where he came from etc but nothing like that was found out! It was a really frustrating film! My mum liked it though - speaks for itself really!
I_love_Dan_Radcliffe
closer is a good movie!
zyra123
Okay... but this is a thread for 'least favourite movie', mate... wink.gif If you want to reply to specific someone, please quote/mention their name (and might I add, do it politely cause we don't take inflamming or rude comments very lightly here... wink.gif)

As it is, if you could eloborate more on why you think 'Closer' - which incidently I've watched it myself last night - is a good movie, it'll be appreciated. We have recently revise our rules and don't allow for one-liners anymore, I'm afraid. So please be careful next time, alright! wink.gif
slytherinlvr
I am with Ms. Know It All, I don't like any of Hilary Duffs movies. I have nothing against her it is just that the movies she is in all bore me to death.
Hermione_Resilda
I don't go to the theaters that often, so I'm going to say some older movies. I was disappointed with A Series of Unfortunate Events. My grandma loves Maid in Manhatten (spelling..), so she makes me see it. I thought it was good at first, but now it's really boring.

That is so true. Every single one of her movies suck and they are all the same. mad.gif She should have stuck with Lizzie McGuire.

For those of you that say Napoleon Dynamite, you're crazy. Well, if you've only seen it once I can see why you don't like it. Watch it a few more times. laugh.gif The first time I saw it I thought it was the worst movie ever made and it was so cheap and my dad could've made a better movie. But then I realized that's how the movie is supposed to be. And besides it's really funny. I rented it 3 times. once to watch by myself(which my dad and his gf walked out on since it was so boring! lol) and then I watched it with two of my other friends. It was funnier and better after I watched it more than once. And you wanna know something funny? Last summer, when the movie came out me and my dad went to go see it (that's only because there were no other movies out! lol.) and guess what?!? It was SOLD OUT the night before!!! I thought that was so hilarious! tongue.gif

I also hated From Justin to Kelly. I love Kelly Clarkson, but I hate this movie. And why did they have to put an American Idol winner and an American Idol runner up in it? Justin can't even sing (in my opinion, no offense to any fans) and they tried to make that movie like a cool teen movie. dry.gif

Ah, a place where I can complain...yesss...
--Happy Gilmore--That movie nearly had me tearing my eyes out; I usually like Adam Sandler, but this. movie. was. awful...
--Little Black Book--The worst chick flick I have ever seen. I almost made ill in my popcorn bucket.
--20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-- I'm talking about the old version. They ruined the book...I nearly cried...
--King Arthur--What made them think Guinvere could kick butt?!? I woman would be stoned to death if she even thought of wearing something like that...
These are only a few I can think of at the moment...no doubt there's more...

Oh, and I loved Napoleon Dynomite...that movie rocks my world...I'm always quoting it's stupidness...So utterly pointless, I know, but that's what made it hilarious laugh.gif ...

i watched "Anchor Man" about 3 months ago, well i say watched me and my boyfriend switched it off half way through, it was so annoying. i've never watched a more messed up, mixed up movie in my life.

Napoleon Dynomite is one of thoses movies you just watch with your mouth wide open wondering when its going to finish and its only really funny when you think back to it.

Anything with Miss Hilary Duff or those Oldsen twins tends to suck too.

Okay, I know someone said this before but Ella Enchanted is dreadful. It's nothing like the book. The book is really good, though. And...don't hate me for saying this, everyone else loves it, but I hate "The Princess Bride". It's just plotless and pointless. I mean, who is "mostly dead"? mellow.gif The book might be good though, I've never read it. Oh yeah, and I saw the two movies the Prisoner of Azkaban trailers came with, and the movies were really bad. Like, "Loony Tunes Back in Action" was really bad. It felt like it would never end. And Scooby Doo 2 was bad too.
madness_within
i hated hulk, it as so pointless and i didnt understand the plot. It was just *blech*

I also didnt like Master and Commander. I didnt understand what they were saying and it was just boring.
Accio Xbox
I liked Master and Commander, but as for the Hulk? It stunk!

I can pretty much sum up the whole movie in a sentence:

Don't make me angry. *BLARG* Hulk angry. Hulk will destroy everything!
cosmic
I saw The Devil's Rejects Friday night and hated it! The only reason I didn't walk out is because my friend passed out in his seat (drinky drinky) and I didn't want to leave him there to get robbed while he was unconscious (very rowdy crowd).

The violence and bad dialogue didn't bug me, it was the victimization of women. Lots of bad things happened to girls in that movie.

I'll also never hang out with my friend if he drinks again. I'm not his babysitter. tongue.gif
