I am back! So I was away for a while, and I come back and BAM a bunch of pictures! That's nice. Nothing too amazing, but hey we're getting our pictures- Hermione so wants Ron with that helmet, and Luna looks utterly stunning in those spectrespecs.

Yates a R/Hr shipper? WOOO! That's good. A good sign. And oooh these pictures give us a good insight on what the characters look like... including Lavender. Hmm. She's still a straight-haired girl to me. But now they're making it look like Ron only falls for curly-haired ones, see Hermione, Lavender, and, well... Browney, there are countdowns to HBP at Leaky and Mugglenet, and there are exactly 134 days left according to them... wow, I still remember when a friend and I started doing the countdown around 450 days left... and then we stopped because it was too far away still and we said that we would start it again when the teaser trailer came out.. but there's no teaser yet and there's only 134 days left!

And that picture of Ron in the Quidditch, well, uniform/costume, whatever you like, there's a bunch of Gryffindors in the back. There seems to be alot, actually, too much for a team. And they don't all seem so Quidditchy to me, so I assumed they were just people trying out...

I would most definately love a scene with Ron and Hermione (like how in OotP they had their mini-duel thing at DA lessons "I let her do that.", lol). My guess would be a talking thing out scene after Lavender that Harry intervenes when he realises things are about to get ugly. Or just a typical bicker scene, maybe Ron trying to get Hermione to admit what her third smell was in the Amotentia potion.

Yes, it is clear that they will. There is a promotional picture of Ron at the tryouts, so yes, they will be included. I forgive the fact that Quidditch wasn't in OotP because Quidditch is back for its last hurrah. I do hope they have Hermione's helping hand to get Ron on the team. I really can't wait for Dan being captain-y. I don't really think he's all that attractive anymore, Rupert is much better looking I think, but I do really love Dan cause he's awesome.

I think it would be wicked to have a scene like the one I've described before, both Hermione and Ron talking to Harry about Ron getting with Lavender. Ron would be saying how it was justified and Hermione can't complain, and Hermione saying she doesn't care, even adding some lame excuses about why she acted the way she did. But how it would be different from the book is that it would be intercut, meaning it would jump back between the two of them. Hermione talking to Harry, and then Ron with him, you know.

I think the whole "Deserving better" theory is kind of silly. I think Ron and Hermione completely deserve each other, as they'd be perfect for no one but each other. They balance each other out and love each other's faults. Ron's laid back, whereas Hermione's uptight. Ron can teach Hermione to just have fun once in a while, and Hermione can whack him into handing in his homework on time.

I wouldn't mind at all, in fact, I'd love that The scene Ellen described before, of Ron and Hermione complaining about each other to Harry while he is going crazy, cutting from one to another, that one would be great! (and there's something like it in the book, that's actually where we got the ideas from )



If they were just being mean to each other, believe me, the only thing they'd be is plain mean. But Ron and Hermione clearly care about each other, and not only romantically but as best friends too. Ron feeling guilty after insulting her in PS? Or worrying for her being petrified in CoS? Hermione clearly wanted him to ask her to the Yule Ball, and he was obviously jealous when he found out she was going with Viktor. These are definitely not signs of hating each other or being just mean to each other. They care for each other. And the bickering is just a way to hide what they feel.
And saying that Hermione "deserves better" is just saying that Ron is worthless, which is wrong. The trio literally falls apart with Ron not being there, that has been proven in GoF, HBP, and DH. Ron has flaws, but so does Hermione, but they both have amazing qualities that make them perfect for each other. One has something that the other one misses.

What you said is completely true! Those who don't like Ron and Hermione's relationship often are in the mind set that Ron is worthless, or the only thing he's good for is comic relief. But the trio falls apart with out him. Best scene in DH, yes Harry and Hermione love each other, and she was there for him at the grave site of his parents, but they both knew someone was missing. Ron came back home and Harry told him, with out the actual words, that he loved him and that he was needed. Ron had to be the one to distory the horcrux because it was all about over comming his feelings of worthlessness, Harry told him it had to him because he's not worthless. Ron is the heart, Harry's strenght, and the love of Hermione's life. He's far from worthless.
But it's clear from how JK writes Ron and Hermione that there bickering was that, bickering. The one thing that tips me off that Ron and Hermione are friends, and don't just hang around Harry for his sake, is because they spent time together with out Harry. Simple as that, for me.

Yus! Cristi, you're absoutely right. I get annoyed with Ron not being "worthy", but the trio does fall apart without him. Like when you thin back, when Hermione left (for the want of a better word) Harry and Ron in PoA because of the Crookshanks-Scabbers thing, Harry and Ron could hold it together. They'd get on, but they were young back then. Ron didn't depend on Hermione as much as he does in DH. But when Ron leaves, everything falls apart, like you and Ellen said. Yes, Harry and Hermione could survive on their own, but deep down, they both need Ron. Especially Hermione-you don't cry over someone for a week or more, if you don't need them. That i think, was one of my favourite RHr quotes. Possibly of all time.

Exactly, Ellen. Is as simple as that! They're not only friends with Harry and thus forced to be around each other. They're clearly friends, all those summers spent together, all the time they spend together in Hogwarts, Hogsmade, The Burrow! How they worry for each other, and how they clearly love each other, not only as friends but romantically too. Saying that Ron and Hermione hate each other is just silly, because all the reasons I said before prove that they're friends, and the bickering proves that there's something else there; feelings that they're not able to show, the romantic kind

As for Ron's worthless-ness... it was cleared up in DH that it was in fact one of Ron's fears and Harry assured him that him thinking this was very wrong. Ron isn't just comic relief, he's the heart of the trio! We witnessed how depressed Harry and Hermione were when he left, and yes, Harry and Hermione love each other, but for me without Ron they don't feel complete.

it does annoy me when people say that Ron is worthless, or that Hermione deserves better. when the truth of the matter is, that with Ron, there is no group. they'd fall apart without him. and the only reason they're saying that Hermione derserves better is because theyre bitter that she ended up with Ron.

I've been in a mystical world that was very new to me....a social life. Including that lovely version of Ronald Weasley I've told you all about (he's also currently chasing after his own version of Fluer who I happen to be friends with. How...lovely. */sarcasm*). Also? Moving. I have to next month and have been packing very slowly as to get it done little by little. Besides that I've done...well, fangirl stuff. Cristi, I've said this how many times I've lost count, I think people forget how old the kids in Harry Potter are. Ron and Hermione's bickering is childish, but realistic for age. I think that a lot of people forget that.
And the Trio is not the Trio with out Ron!
Moon, I think that Ron and Harry would have been fine together with out Hermione, just like Harry and Hermione could have been friends with out Ron. But like I said, it's not complete with out all three of them. JK makes that clear over and over again.

I agree Ellen. Ron and Hermione are perfect for each other, but the trio is nothing without all three of them. This makes me think of a question (that may have been asked before, but whatever): Would Harry feel left out once Ron and Hermione started going out?

I think he might be. He hasn't really lived life without them before, and is happy at first, which turns into the awkward!Harry we all know and love, then he feels ... left out, i guess. But of course they sort it out.

Hmm, and oldie but a goodie! I think that Harry and Ginny would become an actual couple of sorts before Ron and Hermione had anything that could be labeled as an actual couple. I really do think they'd take too long to get going...

But I guess, since the trio are friends, Harry would feel left out a little sometimes. I think he would go to Ginny to be cheered up when Ron and Hermione were having they're own time!

I actually think in GoF or in the OotP books Harry says that he's starting to feel left out because he was thinking about what would happen if something had happend with R/Hr. Than idk what happened and I guess he just forgot about that and after that he never felt left out,or he never said or thought he did,because he had Ginny i suppose. I think that would have to be maybe after 1 1/2 years or so. But than they would end up coming back together as a couple again. It would just be on and off,the drifting. Even when they're married,sometimes they would be friend like and than after a while they would be a couple again,you know?

Lol, ok. I'm going to say that Ron and Hermione have spent six year's, almost seven acting like friends, arguing more, etc. So they wouldn't be reverting back to that any time soon. I'd say maybe after two year's. But i agree with gissgon, it'd be on and off.

i dont really think so. he might feel uncomfortable at first, but sooner or later, he'll adjust to it. and of course, Ron & Hermione will have their moments when they'll be acting like such a couple that Harry will feel left out, but he has Ginny. haha. so it all works out.

umm..i agree with gissgon and Moon. they'll be super on-again-off-again. but thats just because they bicker so much. but deep down, they know that they cant live without eachother, so thats why they stay together.
