Goodness, I hope I am not breaking any rules with this topic. But I am such a rebel nowadays...

Alright, I have spent the last few months of my life, trying to come up with theories on how the Goblet of Fire trailer will go. What song they'll play, what scenes they'll show, etceteras...

So, just give me your ideas because I'm as bored as Dudley would be in a library. Gah.

Please, close this topic if it has already been done.

I'm sure they'll show a clip from the Quidditch World Cup...maybe when the Death Eaters attack...umm....maybe some of the Yule Ball...some of the end...its pretty hard to say...

I think we're gonna see clips from the QWC, and Voldemort being "coock'ed" to life, but no more of that sceen, from the yule ball, and some sceen's from the task, a dragon, and Harry swiming..
Gosh, I can't wait...

do anyone know when the release date is, fir the film and the trailer?

The movie comes out on November 18th, and from my observations, the trailer will probably come out two months earlier.

the teaser trailer will probably come out around spring and the trailer will probably come out in summer... just my guess... i think they're going to do scenes that contain humor and excitment like the quidditch world cup, from the 3 tasks, maybe the part where dumbledore says harry potter after he gets the paper from the goblet of fire, the yule ball, and maybe the death scene... the filmmakers definetly want to pick out scenes that will attract a lot of people especailly the older audience

I hope the camp at the QWC is going to be good too, because the telt where the Weasleys are living is supposed to look like ai reall house.

I think the teaser trailer will probably be really dark and gothic and go something like this....lots of dark, atmospheric music - lots of dark imagery...flashes of the Grindylows, the mer-people, the acromantula (if they're including it), ending with a shot of the dragon breathing fire....then it'll cut to a scene at the graveyard....flashes of fire morphed from the dragon, to make it seem flawless, you know....then there'll be flashes of DE's in masks, a cauldron, Wormtail, then maybe the scene will flash red and there'll be strobe-like flashes of Voldemort rising from the cauldron......then the whole thing will go black....we'll hear some voices...probably Harry's saying..."He's back!"

Then there'll be the usual words....no accompanying soundtrack because silence is more impactful for the next bit....

"The Dark Lord is reborn....on November 18th 2005......Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire...." then the blurb about the filmmakers.

yes, that seems very good, but how will the orignaly trailer be then? if that what you just described was the teaser trailer, on me it sounded a bit long for just the teaser?

No, it's not going to be long, because it's essentially a series of flashed images. The whole thing would probably amount to less than about fifteen seconds. Teaser trailers don't usually run any longer than that.

Now, I'm thinking Patrick Doyle's version of the original prologue will be played, with a clip from the three different tasks, Voldemort talking to Wormtail in the Riddle house, the Goblet of Fire, the four Champions, and Hargid in his "best" attire. Yes, that would certainly be an amusing one.

ooo i like dana's idea, but i think there will be some kind of sound. maybe someone speaking in the background like dumbledore or harry. then like a low deep but loud drum beat after each scene. yes, that sounds perfect! and it would be really exciting. i hope its as good as the spiderman trailer. i thought they did a really good job with it. all exciting.

heh heh...I kinda got chills myself when I wrote it...I had this image in my mind...the sort of teasers they did with Independence Day, Godzilla, Jurassic Park and the Hulk, almost a year before they came out. I nearly went nuts with aniticipation after seeing those teasers....pity the films never lived up to them, but I have far higher hopes for my beloved HP...

Although I like Wednesday's idea of a shadowy scene with Voldemort and Pettigrew in the Riddle House too.....

Oooh... I like the 'He's back!' part very much!! It does gives you some chills thinking about it, doesn't it? And I think the teaser could include the goblet itself... spitting Harry's name out... and DD's voice echoed in the background silence... 'Harry Potter!'... hmm... can't wait for it!!

But yeah, sometimes teasers do tend to exaggerate the movie's quality... like what I felt for Tomb Raider... but who cares! We've read GoF and we've been reading the updates on the movie too... I'm sure it'll turn out alright!

After reading everyone's ideas, I certainly can't wait for the trailer, to see how close to the mark everyone is.

I especially love Wednesday's idea of the Dark Lord and Pettigrew in the Riddle house.
And Louise's idea of "The Dark Lord is reborn....on November 18th 2005......Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire...."

Put the two together at the end of the trailer, and it will certainly leave people hanging.

i think the trailer for theaters will come out some time in April.

yea, i also think it'll have a dark gothic feel to it.
and i'm also quite positive that in the real trailer they'll include QWC and the Yule Ball and a couple clips from the tasks and then it might end with like Voldy walking towards Harry after being reborn.

They might have flashbacks from Years 1-3. But then there is this one sceene I'm dying to see... I think the tesser will comeout sometime this spring. Then teser two or a thetrical trailer. And a shot at that one sceene I'm dying to see...

Gosh I hope the teaser is nothing like the Hitchiker's teaser is... no clips at all!! Made me so mad!! I really can't wait though! But I really can see the thing someone said about "Nov 18...the Dark Lord Returns" or something like that... that is awesome!! Gives me chills!!

I hope they only release teasers. When the industry releases to much detail in a trailer, it can spoil the effect of those scenes shown when the view goes to watch the film.

I think it would have powerful choir music behind it. Like "Dum, Dum, Dum, Nah" and then show scenes from the world cup.

The final sequence will show Harry swooping upwards with the horntail behind Harry lunging towards him (and the camera) and then there will be a loud crack and we see the dark mark hanging over some woods.

Then we see Dumbledore in front of the Staff table, close up and from a low angle and looking up at him and he declares, "Let the contest begin!"

Then you hear a voice say "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.....A hero will be Tested."

"A Hero will be Tested", eh? Hey, that is not bad actually...

I like the 'Dark Lord is reborn on Nov 18th' one more, kind of give this eerie feeling...

Oh, I just can't wait for them!! November seems forever!

I can't believe I haven't read this topic yet. Loved your description, Dana. Literally gave me a few goosebumps. I can only hope they would make it that dark.

But I think they'll have to make it a little more light hearted though, considering it is still aimed a bit towards younger viewers.

I think it will start off somewhat bright. Not necessarly white bunnies and rainbows, but maybe the World cup, something from the tasks, yadda, yadda, yadda. And then flip to a very dark scene with Voldemort. Maybe him talking to Wormtail about how he wants to get to Harry Potter. Or maybe a bit of him being reborn and saying something like, "At last...Potter will be mine!" (I really suck at lines, I have too much cheesy sci-fi/horror in me to think of anything new) Then show a one second scene of Harry and Voldemort face to face in the graveyard. And end it with something stupid that Ron would say, "You-know-who ca- can't be back can he?" in that really high pitched voice. And Dumbledore at the great hall saying, "Lord Voldemort has returned"

Monerz, that's a tad weak, but it has to apeal to younger viewers to, so you're probally not far off. I think the grave yard scene wuold be much more effictive if the whole movie up till then looks lighter. And then after than, it to be darker. Shower that war has started, or it it's inner workings. Ah, yes. ::sighs:: Well in my own mind it's pretty dark. And what movie can conpair to a HP fan's imagtion.

I dont think we will get to see much. It will be very quick about 30 seconds and most of it will be close up and title. I cant wait to see it but i think the second one will be loads better just like it was with PoA. Then when the film closes in we will get the 2 minute one that always comes nearer the opening of it

Hopefully this movie will be a little better than PoA. Because PoA screwed up badly. The movie was good, but it was just out of place. A LOT of things were changed. Like in the book, Hermione was suppose to slap Malfoy, not punch him; and it was suppose to be about Malfoy calling Hagrid, "pathetic". And Harry was not suppose to get the Firebolt in the end. Sorry. I just had to point that out. And Hermione is suppose to have bushy hair and preppy clothes.

One more thing. Hermione is NOT violent. Slapping is what I can see Hermione do, but punching? NO! Hermione is a goody-goody and follows school rules. As for Malfoy? He was suppose to kinda shrug and grumpily groan, "C'mon" when Hermione slaps him.

And if it's one mistake they're making in GoF... it's Hermione. I'm glad she's back in her preppy clothes and all, but the hair never ceases to anger me.

So...... Does anyone know when the trailer will come out? What WB movies coming out in the next 3 months could it be attatched to? BIG MOVIES!! I cant wait!!! The trailer is gonna be awesome, and the the movie will be a million times better. This is the first HP book that I can personally relate to because I didnt become a BIG HP fan till the relase of the 4th book in 2000. The others had been out and Id read them, but GoF was the first I got opening day. And I can not wait for this movie, its gonna be awesome!!!
