Hi, guys! I dont know if this topic was already started yet, I tried to search for it to see but I didn't find it, so if it has been, sorry! But anyway, if you could curse someone in the HP books, would you? If so, who would it be? I think if I could, when I get REALLY angry I would, probably at Malfoy because he's just so annoying and makes fun of everyone, really. I would probably use...well, not something really harmful, but something lighter than serious damage, like just a bat-bogey hoax to make me feel better when he angers me!!

What do you guys think??

This is a fairly funny topic...Lets see I would have to say I would curse Umbridge just because she deserves it. She's so sickingly sweet and fake its not even funny, so I would use the Engorgio hex on her so she would expand like the Goodyear Blimp and float off into space....Thats just me though, oh and I would use the Body Binding Curse on Filch just because he's a hater and a ole grump!

I would most definitely curse that horrible woman Umbridge. She is just a major pain! I would use the Conjunctivitis Curse on her. Those small beady eyes of hers don't need to be used anymore! haha

Hmmm... There's a good few characters I want to hex or curse or whatever you want to call it.

Malfoy, for one. We've all seen what he looks like as a ferret, but not as a rat! We all know he is one, of course! I'd feel good to finally get him after what he's done to Harry.

Umbridge, secondly. I know she wasn't around when Harry had the Half-blood Prince's book, but doing that toe-nail thing to her would be extremely satisfying for me. She's such an awful teacher.

Carrow. I'd hit him with either the bat-bogey hex or turn him into a beetle. He deserves it for trying to shove his mistakes off on the students of Hogwarts!

Voldemort. Enough said. I know this isn't exactly a curse, but it would be exceedingly entertaining to see him struggle with a ton-tongue toffee. Ah, happy mental images...

You'll all probably think this is mean, but I'd like to curse Ginny! I'd use her favourite spell against her, I just find her so annoying!



I'd also curse Ernie Macmillan, he's too pompous!

I would curse Hermione. I know it sounds harsh, but she talks too much. I would probably put the tongue-tying cure on her. I normally like her, but sometimes I do get very aggravated when she goes into long rants about silly spells and general know-it-all talk.

I'd probably curse Romilda Vane. I can't stand girls who act like she does. She's a Lydia Bennet with magic powers, which is a really scary thought.

One of my best friends dated a girl who was a lot like her when I was a junior in high school.
The moment his friends stepped in and said, "Dump her, she's a Lydia Bennet," he realized that they were right. He is now highly embarrassed about it.

So I have a strong prejudice against girls who behave like that. I'd hit Romilda with a Bat-Bogey and tell her that her face looks better that way.

You know, this is a very interesting question. It's tough too...well at least for me.

My Hit List (lol)
1. Tom Riddle (Voldemort) because he's a big meanie really. I dislike him so much! If he wasn't so evil though, I would feel sorry for him. All the evil things he did though totally blew away any sympathy or compassion.
2. Bellatrix Lestrange. Really, do you even have to ask why? She tortured poor Neville's parents, killed her own cousin, almost killed Ginny...the list goes on and on.
3. Dolores Umbridge because well...she's a *beep*. Really, all she did to Harry and to all those inocent people was just horrible. She's truly insane and I would curse her with a good hex.

I'd curse Rita Skeeter or...Umbridge. Yeah, and I'd curse some of her "special quills" as well. *evil laugh*

I would want to curse Umbridge and Lucius. Umbridge because she's simply awful and I can't stand her and her mannerisms. I'm not crazy about Trewlaney, but I didn't like the way whe treated her, and I really, really can't stand the way she's treated Dumbledore, Hagrid, and the centaurs.



Lucius, because he puts on a big impressive show, but he's simply a coward and nothing more.

Oh, I am sure I would. I can't stand injustice and sometimes I can't control my temper. In addition, simple curses are not as bad as Unforgivable ones so... I would curse Bellatrix because she is just evil, Draco for his nasty comments...

1) rita skeeter. she was so irritating in GoF, bu in DH.. ugh, i hate her! she besmirched DD's name and everything..
2) umbridge. you know why.
3) lavender. just because.
4) cho and pansy. i dont know. never liked them..

If I could curse someone in the books, it would be Cornelius Fudge. I just think he has a very narrow point of view and as Dumbledore said, is too focused on his time in office to actually concentrate. He just really gets on my nerves. Plus, he has a really bad fashion sense. Lime green bowlers?!

Now wouldn't that be fun ummmmm I think I'd curse either Rita Skeeter cos she's just such a witch (literally ) or Vernon Dursley, cos I know someone just like him so it would be like cursing both of them haha.

Umbridge could be fun too for obvious reasons haha, but it would be funnier chucking her into a herd of centaurs, right would it

And if he wasn't already dead, I'd curse Scrimgeour. Cos I don't like lions. Therefore I do not like wor Rufus.

If i had a chance... i'd curse the Old bat,gargoyle Dolores Umbridge...

I mean some villains in the story are quite bearable... I mean you can tolearate them..
Dolores is just...a pain in...you know where... She's conceited and she gets into the nerve of everyone.. I mean 90% of people in Hogwarts are annoyed with her...

I curse Dolores Umbridge and Draco Malfoy b/c I have serious negative feelings toward both of them.

I certainly would like to take care of Voldemort and Bellatrix too, but somehow I don't think the bat-bogey hex would be the way to go.

Bellatrix - Maybe even Avada Kedavra on her because she killed Sirius
LV - Who wouldn't curse him
All of the Dursley's for treating Harry so badly
Umbridge becaue she did my head in during the 5th book
Fudge because he refused to believe LV was back, and that just made things worse
Peter Pettigrew for helping LV to kill Lily and James and for bringing LV back. I hate that guy.

There's also a few people in real life I'd curse aswell. But that's a different story.

I would definitely agree about cursing Umbridge. I know the first time I read OotP I was infuriated. What an evil person!
Crabbe and Goyle- for just being followers of Draco.
Pansy Parkinson- for all of her rude comments.
Zacharias Smith- for being a constant smart mouth(Ginny's famous bat bogey hex perhaps)

Umbridge...like everyone else and for reasons everyone has already stated
Fudge Because his own fear in the truth led to deaths that could have been prevented! Not to mention his miss use of his Minister of Magic Power!!!
Draco Malfoy and his father I hated them both from the beginning!!

There were times I wanted to curse Snape..but he kinda vindicated himself in DH..So I MIGHT let him slide....

If i could curse anyone? Umbridge or Rita Skeeter, because they completely deserve it, well maybe Umbridge got a little payback, but she was head of the Muggle-Born Registration Commision... and Rita... well it's obvious.

I don't know if I could actually curse anyone. It's hard to cause other people pain or suffering...at least for me. Plus, I always remember the Threefold Rule. But I guess if I had to, I would curse:

Umbridge~do you really have to ask why? She's worse than You-Know-Who. She's just as evil but masquerades under the pretense of being good and that it's "all for your own good" kind of thing. I hate that. I'd rather you be upfront with your evil.

Rita Skeeter~She spreads lies wherever she goes. And she's a newspaper reporter, so more people get to see/read her malicious words than normal.

Voldemort~Simply because he IS the cause of all the dark, evil things...I know they would still be around, but he became the focal point and strengthened them.

Ha, do you have an hour? Okay, people I would curse if I had the chance....

Umbridge: Who wouldn't hex her? She's an evil old toad who is not only psycotic, but actually enjoys other peoples misery and pain.

Rita Skeeter: If she writes one more degrading and misinformed article, I will beat her to death with her crocodike skin handbag.

Yes, I would curse a few people! For starters:

I know it turns out that Snape is a "good guy", but he deserves to be cursed for every time he took points from Hermoine for knowing so much, for being on Neville's back all the time, and for hating Harry for what his father did!

Of course, all the "baddies" need a good cursing!

I don't like the way they act. Umbridge act like she's the "only one", and she enjoys people pain and misery too. Seems like my most-annoying-teacher when I was in Elementary School, and Rita -- I don't think that she became the Daily Prophet reporter because she's just a nonsense-gossiper.

The way to torture them, don't use killing curse or something like that. Just pretend to act like they want us to act, then in the same time, we torture them as much as we can. But no, no. First, we had to keep this torturing plan a secret, then we'll launch the attack.

I would, probably along with a lot of people here, curse Umbridge because of obvious reasons or Percy Weasley just because when reading about him in the fifth and sixth book I wanted to punch him.

Harry; for a main character, I find him very annoying at times, and sometimes it's just like 'stfo'. His playing-the-hero trait really irks me.

I'd also curse Neville and Luna, just because I can't stand either of them; Luna's too out there and Neville's too much of a sap.

Lucius Malfoy would be part of them as well as his son, they don't know what life is about and have no hearts.

Umbridge! She's a terrible person! She tortures students and doesn't know when enough is enough. She is also clearly a coward who only looks for and leans on people with power, because she's not good enough to get any power herself. She's such an annoying person all the time.

And of course Umbridge. I'd more than curse her. I'd double and triple curse her and then let the D.A members take it in turns to curse her and then send her to Azkaban for life. Or maybe give her to the department of Experimental charms to practice on. Or to the centaurs at Hogwarts for archery practice.

Sirius, he irritated me. He was so hot headed and I don't think he provided that parental support he should have given Harry.

Curses for Tonks and Sirius because they did a bad job in my opinion.

If I got the chance to curse just one character from Harry Potter it would be Umbridge! She's like a malignent tumor, every time you turn around she shows up! First in book five with Harry's trial and then at the school - with all those rules and those quills of hers. I was glad that the centaurs got a hold of her. But no, that wasn't enough. In book seven she had to have Moody's eye! Hello, can you say working with the dark side any clearer than that?!

I wouldn't neccessarily curse her, I would force a potion down her throat. That potion would be Draught of the Living Death.

So than she would be out of the way entirely but I wouldn't have to go sentenced to life in prison. *shiver*


If I got two curses I would curse the whole lot of death eaters (Snape would be exempt) and the curse I would use would be one that would make them re-live every curse they cast on another for the rest of there lives. (did I mention I would make it so that they were immortal first?!)

Hermione Rampant, your punishment for death eaters is clever. I like it. It's very appropriate, but I can't say I would have thought of it. Just out of curiosity, would you include Draco in this punishmet?

I'm afraid that if I could curse "anyone" I'd have to curse Dumbledore for leaving Harry with his horrible family for an entire decade without so much as checking in on him...this the saviour of the wizarding world we are talking about...how negligent can a person be?

but to get back in your good graces I would also curse Umbridge and Lucius Malfoy...they are both just rotten souls who are just mediocre at being rotten...if they could have been as horrible as Tom Riddle or Bellatrix Lestrange at least I could have respected them as evil.

At this very moment I think I would like to curse Ginny most. I'm sorry to all those people who like her, but I can't forgive her for what she said to Ron in the sixth book about his inexperience with girls and for teasing him because he'd never kissed anyone. I thought she was really out of line, and it was her influence that ruined Ron and Hermione's friendship for a while. Yeah, so I want to get her back for that.

I'm not sure what curse I would use though. Cruciatus curse is too harsh, maybe the full-body bind? Then she wouldn't be able to do anything for a while. I'll keep thinking...

Apart from her, I would obviously like to curse Voldemort and the Death Eaters and Umbridge and evil people like that in general. Oh, and add in people like Pansy Parkinson, McLaggen, although I think Hermione's spell was good enough for him already.

No I would definatley curse Harry. He ... he...he is just asking for it. He runs round endangering his friends and should have some sense slapped into him (no offence intended I just don't like Harry ) And when I say curse I mean a curse curse not a jynx or a hex I mean like an unfogivable. ahhh....That would be nice.

If I could curse anyone in the Harry Potter series it would be that Ernie kid from Hufflepuff. Wow, he annoys me so much! He is arrogant, pompous, and very formal. I really want to throw my book at a wall every time he is mentioned, and so I have... several times!

I'd curse Harry. Especially in the 5th book, all he did was whine and moan and be a prat. Boy needs a good cursing lol

Harry doesn't annoy me at all though so I wouldn't curse him. i DEFINITELY wouldn't curse Harry. but if i could, not curse, but throw a book [thanks You Found Me ] to Ginny Weasley. she annoys the stupid heck out of me and i don't think she's right for Harry at all. im just voicing my opinion but Ginny just annoys me so much it makes me want to pull her "flaming" hair while I don't even understand why Harry liked ginny in the first place!
