I would definately love her to write more after year 7.I love waiting for the next book and if she didn't write more I would have nothing to look forward to. But, if she makes the perfect ending in book 7 then I would be OK if she didn't.

firstly, i wouldn`t want to be the author with huge pressure on her shoulders. Her series did great, and she has already probably used so much brainwork to make out the 6 that we have now. In fact, she`s probably storming up her last minute ideas of the 7th book now.

secondly, it would be great for the series to continue.. but i think that there would be too much of a craze in the world, and in time the ever continuing series will become somewhat bland. it`s good enough that the series has come a long way, and the seventh book SHOULD be wrapped up very nicely.

I really wish she would write about the next generation at Hogwarts, or Harry when he is older. Better yet, Harry as headmaster at Hogwarts. It would be even cooler if she wrote like prequals. You know: the maraurers, Dumbledore, etc.

I would love for JKR to continue after the 7th book !!! She said that at first she wanted to do 11 books, but after awhile, she decided against it and did 7. I wonder what discouraged her. Maybe she wants to move on?

I know a lot of people said yes, and I used to be one of them. However, I voted for her to finish this one and start another series.

She will rap up this series with Book 7, so there really won't be much to build on after that. Unless, of course, she wrote an encyclopedia of spells, etc. That would be sooo wicked.

It would also be wicked for her to write another series, and she already said she would. It won't be as successful as Harry, but coming from Rowling, it has to be good.

Well, i think Jk shouldn't write more than 7 books. I agree, we all have a great desire to read HP books longer and we want to know what will happen with him in the future. but will it be our naive, good boy that we all have loved? I don't think so. It'll be an adult. It'll be Harry Potter with his adult problems. it won't be a boy who is terribly shy of talking or kissing with a girl.
So, as i said at the begin of my message JK should't write more about HP. I personaly want other series.

It's a logical place to stop, since it is about Harry's school-age years. In a way, I would like it to end there because it would be nice to leave some parts of his life to the imagination. I'd like him to go on in all our minds to some other, happier things.

You know, I really loved Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, but I'm glad Jane never wrote a sequel. I have it all worked out in my mind what happens to all the characters. Now, I've heard another author did write a sequel to P&P, but I have never been interested in reading it.

I wonder if some other author, 200 years from now, will take JK Rowling's series and add to it?

Well JKR said that when she was on Richard and Judy and she said she was going to mae if finish so that no one else could carry on with her books. I hope they don't..mine you I will be dead by when probably so I won't have to worry about it but I hope it doesn't happen. It is JKR creation, and hers alone.

I feel like adding to Harry Potter after the seventh book would ruin it, since it was always meant to be seven. If she wrote about something totally unrelated I'd be thrilled, but if she were to continue with Harry I'd be dissapointed. I trust that she will end the seventh book in a way that will satisfy all us fans; not doing anything we would want to hunt her down for, nor ruining anything already done. Some things, like DD's death, need to happen even if we don't like them (Harry needs to finish it by himself-if DD was alive he would protect Harry). JKR will give us answers to questions and make us satisfied, not hungry for more. Even writing about other cahracters I feel will spoil it.

I mean, I've read the interview where she said she wasn't going to write anymore after the 7th book. But I'd like her to! I think it would be great if she wrote the books she made referance to in the HP series. (Especially Hogwarts: A History...after all Hermione babbles about I'd like to read it!)

i would love nothing more than for her to keep writting harry potter books for the rest of eternity, but i doubt very strongly that it will happen. i think that after a while she might write some other books that are not harry potter related, maybe a new serries, but more likely singular novels.

i love harry potter but it cant go on for ever and i want be hooked on some other book( other that HP and lord of the rings), and she has already said she wont carry on the books, but it doesnt mean i wouldnt love for her to carry on but its not goin to happen.

She referred to HP as her one chance at something that special and lightning doesn't strike twice. Honestly, as a business decision I tend to agree with her and it would be very wise of her to keep a close tap on the copyrights the HP. I really would like to see a prequel though of when Harry's parents were in school. that would be cool.

Well, I love the Harry Potter books, but I honestly don't want her to continue writing about it. *now is the part where everybody kills me*.

Don't take it the wrong way! Because I can't really get enough of Harry Potter, but she said in a beginning that there will be 7 books, so she shouldn't change her mind because if she continues to write she will continue to earn money. Besides, everything must come to an end, I know I will cry when I'll finish book 7, because it will mean that there won't be any more HP. But if she does justice to the last book, and she doesn't left anything unconcluded, I think it's an excellent way. 7, the most powerful number.

There are also 7 years at Hogwarts.

I don't know, I like it being that way. Besides, she is in the top of her career, she can't get any better than this. And I believe that if she continues to write she won't be as billiant as she is now.

The only thing I'm happy about the release of book 7 is that Jo will have to answer all the questoins we made, since there won't be spoilers.

She would need to spend a lot of money indeed. Short of making massive amounts of donations, how could she ever spend all the money she has made from Harry Potter? She will continue to get royalties. If JK writes again, I expect it would be short stories or short novels. I don't think she would ever undertake a great project like Harry Potter again.

I think it would be wicked (ron quote, hehe) if JKR would write a prequel! The life of James, maybe? Yes! the JP series, rofl. Or maybe even the life of Voldemort himself (they did mention quite a bit of this already) It could kinda be like how the Star Wars Episodes told about Anican before he became Darth Vader

Like any Harry Potter fan I'd love for her to continue the books, but sometimes its better to leave them and let them be wonderful then drag them out and ruin them. I wouldn't want that to happen. Plus, I definitely don't think she will. And I don't think I'd want to read any of J.K's other books if she writes any; I wouldn't be able to stop thinking of Harry Potter!

It really would be amazing if JK Rowling could come up with another series like Harry Potter after she finished writing about him... This must sound strange, but I'm happy she's only writing seven books and then ending it. Perhaps it might seem too much and never-ending. Don't get me wrong I would love more Harry Potter, but i think she's doing the right thing by not writing anymore books in the series. I would like to see her venture out and write other types of book, in the same genre hopefully, but to try other things. I would enjoy reading a book about the Marauder's or some individual character, but that's probably not going to happen. At least I can look forward to seeing some new books, hopefully.

What I'd really really love is if she could write one book with the stories of James, Lupin and Sirius when they were in Hogwarts (and Snivellus as well, lol), let's say a pre-HP book. It would be great if she could do a George Lucas and write that book, I'd adore her for that!

Honestly I dont know if she has written more books or not because I've only read HP. If she's written more I'd like to read it, and if she starts a new book Im certainly going to read it.

I would want JK to continue writing books but not Harry Potter. If HP was meant to be 7 books only, then it should and must remain that way. As much as I love HP, writing something just for the sake of adding something to the series is dumb. If the story is already complete, there's no need to add anything, it will completely ruin stuff.
