she's almost 100 percent sure she isn't going to write more books after the seventh book... but i want her too...the series is ending too soon!

I want her to write more after the 7th book.
it would be awesome to read how harry lived after the 7th year, ocores we don't know how it will end.

Hmm... I'm kind of on the fence actually in this issue. But I'm leaning more towards 'No' actually... hear me out...
On one hand, I would want to read about Harry in his adult life (though if that happen, the book won't be in the Children Category anymore...

), I want to read about his choice of career (would he succeed in becoming an Auror? Or would he change his mind and go for Quidditch team instead) , his dealing with normal life (if indeed LV was defeated in Book 7), and ooh... how can I resist about his love life!! (he'd be old enough to know who's the right girl, y'know...)
But on the other hand, I think 7 books is enough. The story should stop at its prime time, when the good finally defeated the evil, when Harry was at his top, when the idea with the story still cease to amaze me, when everything is soo original, soo unexpected, soo nicely tied up... know what I mean? Dragging the story into several more series might lose its shine... like what happen to the 'Bold and Beautiful' episode, it gets a tad annoying when the story when on and on and on in circles... and I've lost my interest over it... my point is, I want the story to remain at its best, and leave a certain good feeling in my heart. I want to remember the series as it was. The best.
But, I'm sure if JKR turn her head and create another series, I'd be wanting to try that out... definately! Mrs Rowling's way of writing is simply amazing...

I've rant far long enough for now... so, I stop here...

I think it would certainly be something if she continued, although I´m not sure of her competense as a adultbooks writer. Sure she writes goods book, but one should remember that it´s childrensbooks.

I'm not sure on this one either, i've voted no but i suppose i would like it if Jk wrote a short Synapses on Harry's life after Hogwarts telling us what he did with his life but ultimately i agree with zyra123 i think by the Harry Potter books ending with book 7 it will bring some finality to the series especially since the end has been built up so much.
If we look at another great author Sue Townsend who wrote two of my favourite childrens books:
'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole' and 'The Growing pains of Adrian Mole'
In these books we enter the mind Adrian and as he goes through life as a teenager in the Thatcherite 1980s in Britain . At the end of the second book we are left to think for our selves what will happen about what will happen to Adrian as he becomes an adult and I think there is something nice about that.
However Sue Townsend is still writing books about Adrian Mole today, I have to admit ive ony read one of thees books out of 5 (i think) 'Adrian Mole the Cappuccino years' which was Undoubtedly excellent but still i felt as i read it that we was loosing some of the mystery created at the end of the growing pains of Adrian Mole, and so no matter how good Sue Townsend's current books are I fell they can never compare to her first two classics.
Although in saying all this I fully intend to read Sue Townsend's latest book Adrain Mole, wepons of mass Destruction.
To end I would absolutely love it if Jk decided to write a new novel with a whole new set of characters.

I think that I would like to see some more of her work after the Seventh book, But maybe ones like the "Magical Beasts and Where to find them" and the "Quidditch through the ages" books. I'd like to see "Hogwarts, a History" and maybe a year book from the years when The Muarders and Lilly and Severus and then chanhtge it over to the years when the trio and all them went there. I think it would be a very good concept - maybe she could even find a fan or something to do the art work, insted of using actual images. I've seen many good artests in my day on the net and I think they would be excited to team up and do something Harry Potter related. Maybe JKR could have a contest. Wouldn't that be fun? ^^; But I don't think I would like to see an Eighth book in the series.. well okay so I would! but It all depends on the ending of the seventh.. If I have to "throw my book out the window" then probably not.

i said she should write another series, but it really depends on where the last two books go. i jo finishes if off nicely, i will be content. however, she may need to fill a 20volume encycopedia set to awanser all the questions we are coming up with!

i really want to keep reading this! but, it would be great if she did more stories not about something not from the books, but just in the magical world.(a spinoff, basicly) who knows, jo could extend it for another book or two, acctualy, i was surrprised that she didnt have to split the 6th or 7th ones in to 2 parts, for the sheer reason so the book wouldnt be thicker than it was wide

. i
do hope she'll keep writting, but i'd understand if she got sick of doing hp after a while. good idea Suzi! i was expecting jkr to do a Hogwarts, A History sooner or later, but i hadent though of doing a lily/james year yearbook. however, she
did say she wasnt going to do any prequals, and that might quialify as one.

Actually, I read a quote that said she wanted to try her hand at something else. If she did write about the world of Harry Potter again, it wouldn't be until like 10 years down the road, and only because she missed it so much.
When I read that bit about Auror training taking an additional 3 years after Hogwarts, I almost wet myself. That was before I started looking for when book 6 was coming out, got hooked into Veritaserum, and started looking up everthing HP related and read quotes that JK planned to end it on 7.
However, I believe all those quotes say she will "end the series," or "the story" on 7. That doesn't mean she wouldn't write more about Harry, just that it will be after he "vanquish"ed the Dark Lord. There are still plenty of Malfoys out there. Not to mention Vampires

i would like her to keep writing, but at the same time, if its the time to end, then its the time to end it...just aslong as she says what happens to the people in book 7 im fine with that, thats why i want it to be LONG, VERY LONG so we know what happens to the main people in the books, stuff like who gets married, what jobs they get...etc

A great author is generally measured by multiple compositions. Jo Rowling's Harry Potter series will only count as one. It is a superb masterpiece, but I believe she has more in her to create another series.

I would love her to write more but I don't think she will write more after the 7th and I don't think that there could be that much to write about. After all, Voldemort will be dead and she could only give us details like what job Harry does and if he gets married.etc. There can't be that much to write about.
However, I would like her to write about the Marauders.etc.

I'd really love to see Just an other book. Why? Coz i;m really curious to see what's goining on in the magic world. As i've alreasy posted somewhere else i want to know more 'bout the magic world. Wouldn't it be great to read a description from J.K.R quill 'bout a Magic megastore? Or see the program of the Quintich champions league and read the description of the final where,of course, Apollon Kalamarias(

) would win in the end. All i mean is that i'd like to see a magicians everyday life after he finishes the school.
PS:You'll never walk alone, LIVERPOOL ROCKS!!!

I think JK should do like JRRTolken and go back and write a book about the history of the magical world and other stuff about the world she couldn't explain in the HP series. I also hopes she publishes Hogwarts, a History and some of the other books that are talked about in the books.

dont gat me wrong, its not like i am not absoutely and totally utterly crazy about harry potter, but i dont think she will because i think voldemort will kill harry in book 7, and then take over the ministry of magic. From there he will destroy all memory og harry and his scruffy hair. If you ask me voldemort is really really mean.

I am with some other that although I would love to read more about Harry in the future I think we would all loose intrest sooner or later and it would loose its enchantment...I think 7 books is more than enough..and about JRK writing another book on their careers I think it is more of an epilogue about what happens to all of them in the future...Another series would be great though...she certinly has a gift....also they are supposed to make all 7 movies so we have Harry to look forward to for another 5 years at least...

I would like her to continue after bok 7. However, at this point in time we don't know how the 7th bok will end. It may have the last chapter as an epilogue with all the loose ends neatly tied off - a sort of "Five Years Later - Godric's Hollow" type thing with Harry Potter (auror) and his wife Ginny hosting their son James 3rd Birthday Party or something. My theory does tie in nicely with the supposition that the last book will end with the word "scar" e.g. "James had his mother's red hair and his grandmother's eyes. In all other respects he was the image of his father, the only real difference being the absence, on his forehead of a lightning bolt shaped scar."
Is that too neat and tidy? Lupin, Tonks and all the Weasleys (including Ron and his wife Professor Hermione Weasley - Arithmancy teacher at Hogwarts) sitting in Harry and Ginny's garden eating Birthday cake and drinking Butterbeer??
I like happy endings.

That's quite the ending their, Minerva. It would totally rule.
But back on topic... I, like some others, would love it if JKR continued to write stuff about the Wizarding world but not HP stuff directly. Hogwarts, A History and Quidditch Throughout The Ages would be two amazing choices.
