huh.gif My little 5 yr. old has discovered Harry Potter Trading cards and has been collecting them like mad. She just wants to trade some so if any one out there wants to trade some with me for her please send me an owl.

I didn't even know there were Harry Potter trading cards, so I can hardly be expected to collect or play with them. I don't know, I gave up on collecting trading cards for anything ever since the Pokemon fad burned out of me seven years ago.

happy.gif Yeah, I never really did get into trading card games. Now my sister and her husband are big Magic players. My nephew is 7 and he had started collecting Yu-gi-oh cards and my daughter thought they were neat so I took her to look at some at Wal-Mart and she flipped over Harry Potter cards. She has been collecting for about a month now. I've been able to get them for 3 packs for a dollar. (Incidentally, we're in the southern U.S.) She had started out with one set but now they have a Quidditch Booster set she has been collecting and she gets so excited when she gets a special card. Her latest really neat card is a holographic Neville card.

sad.gif I found a websiste about the cards. They were designed by the company that designed Magic: the Gathering. They were released with the first film and are now out of print so if there is any one who had collected them before I think there are some places that still have them. I'm still open to any one who wants to trade some cards with my daughter.

I remember these cards! I was in the 8th or 9th grade at the time the first film was released, and if memory serves these cards were released at around the same time. The card game itself is rather exciting, and fun to play but died out due to a lack of playerbase.

When I go home this weekend (currently on my college campus) I'll look around the house and see if there aren't a few cards that I could send out.

I'll keep you informed by owl, glad to see that someone is still enjoying this card game! smile.gif

I just recently found my old deck from when I used to play in high school with friends. Personally I think it was the most fun of the trading cards games out there.
