Oh wow Elaine! That's an amazing prediction

For some reason I think that you just gave us the book right there xD You have no idea how reasonable and really good that sounds! And I agree with Honeybee, it too gave me goosebumbps. But um yes I knew that the Vulturi's have to have had some sort off in with the book, especially the Cullens since they will soon have 3 powerful vampires with special gifts. Wow I can't wait til friday

EDIT: Alright you guys it's been confirmed that yes there are a few sold Breaking Dawn books here is the news
QUOTE
Two photos of Breaking Dawn have made their way onto the internet, confirming that early copies of the novel have indeed been accidentally sold. One picture shows the front cover of the book, and the second picture shows the inside title page.
Consequently, we here at TS are urging all our visitors to exercise extreme caution over the next few days. Again-- we will never post any spoilers ourselves, and we're working hard to protect you from them, but browsing the internet is exponentially more risky now than it was even two days ago. Take heed and visit only the sites you're sure you can trust. Also, be warned that spoilers are frequently sent via e-mail and Private Message, so be wary of those as well.
EDIT: It's been brought to our attention that the entire epilogue is now working its way across the internet, with confirmed sightings on the popular blogging site LiveJournal. As such, we have had to make the difficult decision to close down our discussion forums. They will reopen promptly on August 3rd, ready and eager for legitimate Breaking Dawn discussion.
Feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.
EDIT 2: Twilight Source visitor Ryan reminds us that all spoilers should be sent to a special e-mail address set up by Stephenie's publisher: bdcopyrightviolation@hbgusa.com.
watch out as you guys are browsing the net now :/

I'm not going to repeat what I said before about spoilers. Suffice to say, if you want to go and look them up for yoursef, that's up to any of you, we just don't want what you see posted on here.
I wonder about these bookstores that sell too early. Surely they are not in a hole when they are told they should not be sold before 12.01 on 2nd August? They must know, they must be making money out of it on the side. I can't believe that with a phenomenon this huge, as with the HP books, that any book seller would so this by mistake.
I scare myself when I do predictions...what if I'm right (Cue spooky music lol)
Nicky can you PM me a link or the name of that Twilight site? Thanks!
Edit: . . . and just because I was readin this a couple of moments ago. . .

About what Elaine said, I'm totally right there with her. This afternoon someone posted an un-covered spoiler somewhere I generally go (but have stopped...) which I am hoping was fake. Kinda ruined my day and if it's real (which I think it is)m I'll be really sad.
I don't really get why a bookstore would be selling it early, I know they said it was a grocery store, but still. It doesn't make sense to me!
And to lighten the mood, I just came across
this video. Oh Catherine! Thanks for saving our Edward and Bella!

I'm a little confused. Isn't the chessboard the cover of BD? I haven't heard otherwise (of course I haven't read all there is out there), so what is the big deal about the cover being released on the internet? Are they going to change the cover?
Another note, regarding covers, what is the significance of each of the covers? Like I said, I haven't read a lot out there, so if you want to direct me to a site rather than tell me straight out, that's fine, too.
(I'm a relatively new fan!)

New Quote:
"Carlisle: “I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome.” "Finally a Carlisle quote. Interesting. I wonder what he is refering too? Could it be that someone important is dying? Could it be Jacob? Hopefully, not Alice!! Any suggestions?
*And for ChannelingGinny- This is what I've found out about all of the covers.
-Twilight- The apple on the cover represents the forbidden fruit from the book of Genesis. It symbolizes Bella's and Edward's love, which is forbidden, not unlike the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, as is made obvious by the quote from Genesis 2:17 that opens the book. It also represents choice.
-New Moon- The flower on the cover of New Moon has no significance to the story, as she had no part in choosing its design.
-Eclipse- The broken ribbon represents choice, as in the book Bella must choose between her love for Edward Cullen, her vampire boyfriend, and her friendship/love with Jacob Black. Meyer also stated that the ribbon represents the idea that Bella can't break away completely from her human life.
-And as for Breaking Dawn, they will not be releasing any significance to the cover until after the book is released. I can see why, being she is very tight with spoilers.
Hope this helps.

"Carlisle: “I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome.” "
WOO! Finally a Carlisle quote (: There are two choices of what it might mean, that I thought of. I was first thinking about Bella of course and her transformation. Then I thought about what if a werewolf was bitten? I don't know think about that lol and no the cover is no issue but it was just proof that there is someone out there does really have the book.

Yes! Carlisle! My guess is that the "condition" that the venon won't work on is a werewolf. So my guess is that there's some sort of battle (like etphonehome's battle prediction) and a werewolf (Jacob?) is hurt, and Bella asks if vampire venon will help resort the injuries. And as Carlisle says, there are some conditions vampire venon can't overcome. Sigh.
I have a story to share, which might not be all that interesting, but i find it rather amusing. As you probably know by now due to my ranting, i live in New Zealand, and here Twilight is basically unheard of. I'm rpetty much the only twilighter i know of. Until i forced the book upon my friend. She read it, and fell in love with it. Her sister's friend somehow managed to steal the book and read the first page before it was stolen back. But she was captivated by the first page. She bought the book while in Sydney airport, and read it on the plane back home. She'd finsished it by the time she got back, and is half way through New Moon.
Meanwhile, my sister has convined herself she's married to Edward, and we've just stared Eclipse (chapter nine i believe), my mum is desperate to read the book, but can't because my other friend is borrowing it. Overall, little ol' me as gotten ... nine people interested in it. I find it funny how our fanclub is rapidly growing, and i was the one who started it. I guess Twilight's addicting.
I can't believe that there's hardily any time left. Hang in there guys!

"Carlisle: “I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome.” "Of course vampire venom heals everything when your bitten! I forgot about that part, so someone has something about them that can't be healed through this process...ok thinking out loud there!

Bella is the obvious one to be bitten, but what about her would not heal...hmmm? The werewolf theory is interesting.
This one has me the most worried of all the quotes, but I must remember what SM said...

A few things to keep in mind about the teaser quotes beginning tomorrow:
1. They are out of context.
2. They are out of order.
3. Some of them are purposely misleading.
4. I have a twisted sense of humor.
(Number four is really the key point there.)
Ooh! OK...so say that Edward and Bella you know, consumate their marriage and by some miracle (I know, Iknow) she becomes pregnant. Maybe that's the condition that can't be healed!
I really need to sleep more, my predictions are getting more crazy!
Or, maybe, Bellas clutziness can't be cured. Yep! She'll be the only vamp that trips over dust!

Still no Jacob quote, perhaps she'll save that for last and it will leave us with jaws on the floor!

The pictures on the net are of a book sold 5 days early in a store in Texas. They sold every copy they had so breaking the trade embargo. That means there are a few people out there with the knowledge to completely spoil the ending of the books, in fact a Twilight Tuesday video on Youtube allegedly has someone spoiling the epilogue at the end...hence I haven't looked at any TT videos this week.

I would like to reiterate what Elaine has posted about spoilers for
Breaking Dawn. Be extremely careful where you travel on the internet before the 12:01 02Aug08 release of the book.
I was reading a news article online wherein the alleged spoiler from the epilogue was included, and there was no indication this information was to be in the article. I read the spoiler without knowing it was coming. So, travel the internet carefully if you don't want the ending to be spoiled for you.

Note: I was reading an article on the early release of the book from a Texas bookstore. I was interested to know if there was going to be legal action against the seller for breaking the release embargo. That is where I found the spoiler. I had no idea the article would mention this information. I added this to prevent any of our members from falling prey to the trap I did.

Jul 30 2008, 02:41 PM
I too fell into this same trap. I did the whole looking to find out if the store was going to be prosecuted for breaking the embargo and I read the same things as Sirren, and although it's just snippets, it's enough. Don't go looking for things about the early sale of the book if you don't want to end up in the same situation as us.

Jul 30 2008, 03:02 PM
Thanks for those tips. I think I'll just stay away from Twilight related sites from now on (well, apart from this one). I just cannot believe why some people find it funny to spoil and ruin the book for us.
And I hope they WILL be prosecuted, I am just so mad at them!

If people wish to find the spoilers, that's fine with me. I did not want to know anything. I managed to read DH without any hint of a spoiler, even though I didn't get to read it until three days after the published release.
I never thought a Twilight spoiler could possibly happen to me. It has me bummed out, because once you've been spoiled, you can't undo it. Drat the media!

I think someone said that they have shown too much of Twilight, and therefore left nothing new for us to see. I was thinking about this earlier and I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter because it's all out on sequence and watching the finished article with everything in order will be great.

Honeybee - thanks for the explanation of the covers. It's too bad SM didn't have a say-so in the New Moon cover.
As for the TX bookstore - I'd curse them into oblivion (oh, sorry, that's HP

) I really do hope they will be prosecuted. I have stopped reading anything other than SMs official site. Being a newbie I've not exhausted all there is to read (I just discovered Midnight Sun and LOVE it)
The newest quote
"Carlisle: “I’ve seen vampire venom work miracles, but there are conditions that even venom cannot overcome.”I was thinking about Bella's clumsiness, too, but I like Elaine's theory of a baby. However, if it is werewolf related, do you think that would be the part of the person would still exist along with the vampire aspects?
Ok, and now for a Twilight-fan/movie thought... I don't know any other Twilight fans, even though I am in the US (granted I am a little older than the target audience). I would love for any of you who are in a place where the movie won't be released until well after Dec 8 to come visit me and we'll all go together

I've noticed a lot of great pictures out there, but I got frustrated looking for a good Twilight wall paper for my computer. Last week though, my husband surprised me by collecting several images and creating an absolutely gorgeous wall paper specifically for my user account on his desk top.
I wonder about the pregnancy theory. . . It doesn't seem like vampires can have babies. Rosalie said she only got half of what she wanted in Emmett, and Esme had to "make do" with her adopted children. Even if Bella is capable of pregnancy, is Edward able to help with that?

Nope I was one of the unfortunates to actually have had the DH book spoiled exactly a day before the release. I was with my friend and she was telling me about a bulletin on myspace that someone posted with a list FULL of spoilers and she told me the entire list in 30 secs. I was in complete shock that she actually had the nerve to ruin it for me. A long time wait to be ruined in 30 secs. the day before. And I am so scared now for Breaking Dawn. I no longer go on photobucket and search for pictures. People might make little icons out of whatever they read. I don't google anymore info, in fear that I will find spoilers, we are so close everyone, keep fighting away from curiosity, because that it my enemy at the moment. If you gave me a letter with the spoilers, it will all come down to whether my curiosity will get the best of me. Sorry for the off topic, I just want to give a few words to all from my past experiences and pre cautions now. Since I get my copy august 2nd [sorry for those that don't :/] I am pretty much a day away since I am going to be at the midnight release party. After tomorrow, I will be hours away.. But enough about this.
Umm just out of curiosity [see I told you

] how did you know that vampire venom can cure or however it was said? I don't remember reading that...? And the baby theory that Elaine wrote I don't get it lol you mean that she will get pregneant but it can't happen? I still stick to my theory that a werewolf was bitten. Ah! Jacob! I was wondering if we'd get a Jacob-quote, and we have! I'm not sure what to think about this one. It's very powerful, and if he's being serious (which i imagine he is), it really makes me look back on the naive Jacob from Twilight. He's grown so much.
I really hate spoilers, and i'm basically going to be avoiding the internet for the two days between the lease and the release here. I'm avoiding anything BD right now. I was lucky enough to be spoil-free for DH.

It would be a real something if she did turn out pregneant. I mean that would be cute for Edward to be a father, and the baby have his green eyes. If the kid gets his human traits. Unless the baby becomes a vampire...? Now that's just odd lol but for some reason that would seem so cliche

but I still think that Jacob isn't all THAT serious. He does have a temper and it can just be him saying that. And I think that he is either talking to Sam or Bella. But of course she has to be around. It is her point of view

I enjoyed these pics over my morning coffee. Yum!
I am in complete agreement: Jacob talking to Bella. He views her becoming a vamp as her death, so that is right in accordance with how he perceives he is going to view her transformation.
I also believe the previous quote from Sam has to do with Bella's desire to become a vamp. The treaty says there is to be no vamp biting a human, yet that was probably written to infer a human being bitten against their will, and Bella does not fall into that catagory.
Honeybee
Jul 31 2008, 02:24 PM
Wow, your pictures Elaine are fabulous. And the titles for each pic.....priceless.
After seeing everyones theories about Jacob, it seems reasonable to think that he is talking to Bella. However, at the end of Eclipse he seemed to not.. necessarily accept the idea of her becoming a vampire,(he still seemed uneasy) but calmer with her when he spoke to her about it. He was probably doing it for Bella's sake, and after leaving he continued to fume about it and when he comes back the anger towards the situation would make him say something like this. I'm just thinking aloud.

My plans for the release party are finally finalized. I am going to meet up with the two friend I am going to the release party with in about 40 minutes and we are going to Borders to get our wristbands. After that we are going to go shopping for costumes, we have decided on character but not who is going to be who, it depends on what fits. We decided someone is going to be Rosalie, Alice, and Esme. I am probably going to be Esme because I am not short enough to be Alice and I am not blond. I wanted to be Alice but my best friend wants to (the one who got mad at me for not picking Harry Potter in the argument and I forced her to read it and now she says it is right under Harry Potter) and my best friend is short enough and she also has the correct skin tone, I am much too tan to be any of the vampires (my best friends argument) or Bella but I am probably going to be Esme anyway. We were supposed to have four other people coming but they couldn't come. We were going to have a Bella, Jane, Jacob, and Edward (a poor excuse for an Edward anyway ha ha)
We don't know what everyone is going to wear yet besides Rosalie, Rosalie is going to wear a wedding dress (or at least a white dress) because that is what she killed the guy she was going to marry in. We will all go home after costumes because I have life saving class and they have to work. We will meet at Borders sometime before the release party, get our books, enter contests, and my friends are gonna spend the night at my house afterwards. Unfortunately, I can't read the book straight through the night (morning I guess) because I have more lifesaving class in the morning but I will read it as fast as I can.
I am so excited!

"Bella: “Should I be afraid?” Edward: “Terrified.”"
Yes, the wedding idea certainly has merit. However, the first thing to pop into my head was Edward fixing to change Bella. Of course he'd want to try and scare her as much as possible hoping she'd change her mind. I just hope it doesn't work.
Can't believe the wait is almost over. Only one more day (for me)!
Yep, I'm with everyone else. This is my last visit to this thread until after I've read BD. (I know I don't post very often, but I pop in here quite frequently.

) Well, happy reading everyone! And to those going to a release party, have fun!

"Bella: “Should I be afraid?” Edward: “Terrified.”
I don't get the feeling this quote is about Bella's transformation. I think she already knows to be afraid and she already knows it's going to be extremely painful from the stories that the Cullens have told her. For some reason, I think this has to do with the wedding reception. Like maybe Edward is warning Bella that Alice might have gone a little overboard with the decorating and catering arrangements and that alot of people are going to be there and Bella is asking how bad it is. Like she wants to know if she should be afraid of walking in.
Ahh yes, this is my last post for the next couple of days as well. I will be too absorbed into Breaking Dawn to use my cpu. I hope you all have fun at the midnight release parties wherever they may be. Just as Insomnia so nicely put it, Happy Reading Everyone!

I coudln't help it either, etphonehome. I came and had to check anyway.
Anne, i love you idea of the wedding reception. I'm betting half of these quotes are in totaly different situations than what we've thought of. I honestly can't wait until we can find out.
My plan to buy the book is simple: live through 6 and 25 minutes of school, then one and a half hours of choir practise. This sucks because we finish at five in the evening, and that's when the bookstore closes.
So when my mother picks me up, the first thing i'll say will be "So where's the book? Did you get it? Ha, silly quesiton you must've-tell me you got it?!"
Then after a bit of teasing ("Oh no, i forgot! Silly me ...") she'll hand the book over, and my life will be complete.
So basically, good luck everyone! May you all Twi-hard, cram all the books into your head like no one's cramed before, stand tall and proud in line bearing your favourite "Team Edward/Jacob/Switzerland" badge, and murder anyone who comes too close to your precious copy.
Long live Edward and Bella! (And Carlisle, and Esme, and Alice, and Jasper, and Emmett, and Rosalie, and Jacob, and Sam, and Quill and Embry, the werewolfs, Charlie, Renee, Phill, Angela ...)
Only a few more hours/2 days until Breaking Dawn comes Out!
So this is Moon, over and out (for now).

I can't believe Breaking Dawn is out tomorrow.
Except my copy wont arrive until the 6th =( because I preordered it kind of late.. So it's my fault really, but I'll just stay away from spoilers and things until then. I still can't wait until then though.
The daily quotes have been amazing, and all your theories on them are pretty much the same as mine too.
*squee* Okies, so I wont be reading this thread again until the 7th (because I promise it'll be read in under a day haha) So I hope everyone gets what they expected, and hopefully more in the book. I can't wait to read it

I am trying very hard not to start bashing my head into things and praying very hard that Sam's Club has Eclipse and Breaking Dawn neither of which I have read so I can find out what happens long before the library gets around to sending them to me.
I'm sure you can all tell just by that that I'm new to Twilight but I love it already. I have on idea I'm going to toss out here before it's too late, what if Bella isn't fully human? I mean none of the vampire powers work on her but they work on everyone else even other vampires. So what's up with that? Sorry this is so late.
Have fun reading everyone!

I did not enjoy it.
The book read like...fanfiction.

The characters felt...different. Especially Edward in the beginning he was so angry...I felt on edge reading about him. & the family dynamics...was just wrong.

in the US, some BD books got..leaked, or got sold early..and a user posted up scans of the book, so..i got my hands on the book on July 31st..all i can say is...i'm disappointed.
i know, it was like a..just a fanfiction, a wrong one, a seriously crazy one..
i'm actually waiting for the Twilight fans who'd be going crazy on Steph.

Ok so i just finished BD last night. Wow totally different then the other books kind of felt like a different author. I little too much sci-fi. Although I was disappointed with the book for about the first 300 pages I must say I was content with the ending. It may not have been exactly what I wanted but the end in my opinion was good enough for me.

Finished Breaking Dawn last night! Honetly, I am hugely impressed with it! Twilight, of course, was an amazing book - fantastic! But New Moon was actually a bit boring, it needed to move along a bit more, I mean, if you finish Twilight, and you wait another six or so months for the next book to come along, you want it to have a bit more action! (Though I did love Jacob!) , and Eclipse deeply disappointed me - I found myself starting to actually dislike Bella and Edward - Bella was complaining and whining too much and Edward seemed controlling and pretty annoying honestly (please, don't kill me!) ... but then! Breaking Dawn was just perfect! I restored my faith in Stephenie Meyer - I loved Jacob in it and I started to love Edward and Bella again.
I really liked it!
fjkrs - I do agree with you that the book was slightly like fanfiction. I mean, maybe the writing but the plot .

Just finished it myself and I have to say that it was quite interesting....I liked it. I do have to agree with some of you, there was something off about the writing. There were a couple of times when it didn't feel like it was coming from Stephenie, but then I don't know, it could have been because there was just so much happening, I was a bit overwhelmed. I am on my way to reading it again, I am sure there is a ton of stuff that I missed my first read through. I can't wait till we can discuss it, there is so much to talk about!

Well I guess we can first before anything write about our first initial reaction. Um I liked it. Let me start off with that. I have heard many dislike it and I understand why. It wasn't written like the other books, it felt like a fanfic, & honestly if that's how it felt then you've read way to many of them. I didn't get that feeling becuase I really don't read those. I like it. Everything that I wanted to happen, happened. I was going crazy in Jacob's POV, I wanted to know what Bella was thinking. Umm but then again it was refreshing to see someone elses POV. Umm I loved the ending. Some parts made me cry, I am going to read it again because this is one of those books that take time to get use to, but all in all I liked it alot. It was a book that gave enough to read.
But like I told many before, you can say however many times that you hate the book, but at the end of the day SM was satisfied with the outcome and these commnets aren't going to bother her (: Right on Steph. But yea lol

I agree. The book was a little
different when reading it. But I have to say that I still L.O.V.E.D. it! I was very happy in the end. I am also in the middle of reading it again to see if I feel differently about any of it, or if I missed anything.
Question: When do you think is an appropriate time to begin actually discussing the book in the thread? I know that some areas still haven't gotten it yet. I was thinking maybe around Wed. or Thurs.? What does everyone else think? I sure don't want to ruin it for anyone.
