Everyone seems a bit tied up with 'Ships. I think perhaps it might be Hermione, I doubt Luna, and I would hate to see it be Ginny.

I really doubt it will play any significant role in the story though, personally I think Harry will end up single. Truth be told I would perfer it, I mean come on these kids are in high school, do they really have to go looking for their "perfect partner" in everyone they meet?

I don't think it'll be Hermione, perhaps if Ron wasn't around... but with Ron still alive that could be potentially explosive for his and Harry's friendship, he'd feel totally betrayed. I don't think Harry would do that to Ron, knowing how Ron feels about Hermione. Besides, Harry doesn't like Hermione in that way - he's always made that clear. In Goblet of Fire he felt bored being alone with her, he needs Ron around - not exactly the perfect basis for a relationship. They care very much about each other, but in a strictly platonic way.

I think it'll be Ginny. He doesn't have enough respect for Luna for it to be her (in my humble opinion), and Ginny has so much in common with him AND she has a good sense of humour so that'll keep him happy, that was one of the things that bothered him about being stuck with Hermione as his only friend in Goblet. They'll be spending a lot more time together now that she's on the team with him, so anything can happen.

never thought of Ginny before, she did have a crush on him in the 2book. but they she when went-out with Michael Corner and lost that crush, but it could be back.

It might Ginny, even though I wouldn't be too happy with that, Ron might get upset about that and he might get wierd towards Harry, but then if he gets wierd towards harry, he'll grow closer to hermy...soooo maybe that'll be the start of them (finally if i might add) but then again jkr might not want a rela going with someone younger than harry...never know even tho i think ginny is a pretty big character, its surprised me how big of one

Well, it it has anything to do with characters we already know about. I'm guessing it will be Ginny or Luna.

Ginny, well, she did have a massive crush on Harry and we know that she's matured tons in book 5. Harry might notice that. Who knows?

I remember reading that Harry viewed Luna in a different light towards the end of the book. And he could felt that he could relate to her. He also felt better after talking to her about what was on his mind. Through out OotP there were tons of things that only Harry and Luna could see. This means a lot of future talks that Hermione and Ron will be left out in.

I think it will be a new character. Because Ginny said she was over Harry. Also Cho is dating Michael Corner now. And Luna is just too weird. She's more shocking than anything else. Hermione bores Harry and is too maternal.

So I think Harry will be attracted and have romance with some new character who has had either a very small role before or someone we haven't met yet.

I think Parvati, maybe. He was a bit entranced by her hair during the O.W.Ls... It could also be Ginny or Luna. Ginny and him could hit it off now that she's over her obsession. If it was Luna I'll bet Luna will initiate the kiss. Can anyone even picture Harry initiating a kiss? He's so off with girls, I just can't picture it happening.

I doubt that it's Hermione unless Ron is entirely over his little crush on her, because Harry's a Gryffindor and loyal friend and all that jazz.

After reviewing all peoples views from forums and editorials, and going back and reading through OotP again. I'm quite happily convinced that Harry will be off kissing Ginny by Book 7

i think harry's going to have something with either ginny or a new/minor girl character. i'm also a ron+hermione believer. JKR said in a q&a session once that the answer to who hermione loves "is in book 4." which makes both krum and ron candidates, but while hermione obviously likes krum as a person, she seems to get more worked up over ron. remember how huffy she got over ron's thing for fleur?

anyway, my vote goes to ginny for harry's kissing partner. she has already proven herself a good confidante for him, and she's never said she wouldn't like to date harry anymore, she just "gave up" hoping for him. if he showed an interest, i think she'd be more than happy to revive her crush.

Hermione is a big no no for me

He pitied Luna, that isn't a good foundation for any sort of relationship. Of course if it's just a kiss it might be ok or maybe he will change his opinion of her, but as things stand it's a no for Luna as far as I am concerned.

I think the others have too small a role so far to even seriously consider as long term interest, but for a kiss maybe Parvati.

I don't think some one new will be introduced for this task (blimey that makes it sound like a chore or some thing )

While I sincerely hope it's Ginny, one can never be sure. I'll stick with Ginny, I think Harry will kiss her some time before the end of book six.

i definitely don't see where the luna people are getting this idea. she's far too odd to be his girlfriend, although i think she'll become a good friend in the future, since she has also experienced loss.

Luna maybe odd, but i dunno somehow i felt Harry shown a lot of sympathy towards her. That's perculiar, really especially when i read the page (can't remember) where Harry and Luna have the longest conversation over and over again. Mind you, Harry was too busy weighing his own burden, when Luna came to picture, he seems... urggh vulnerable?

Okay, this is what I think is going to happen. It's so obvious that Hermione and Ron are going to get together because they'll be spending so much time together because Harry is going to be all pissed off and staying away from them. Harry will be staying away from them because of the prophecy and Harry doesn't want to put his friends in danger. I think the romance is going to come near the end of the book. And I think that Harry's going to kiss...please don't hate me... Luna Lovegood.

As I said before, Harry is probably going to be alone a lot and Luna will be there to comfort him. Of course, he won't be happy at first, but then they'll become really good friends. They will just start a good friendship. And somehow... I don't know, they will be in a life or death situation and be running from danger. *~ This is a bit off topic, but I thought I would just point out that I think Harry and Luna are going to see Harry's parents' tombstones because JK mentioned that Harry was going to go to some place that he has never been to before and that JK said there was a graveyard at Hogwarts.~*

Anyways, as I said before, that the romance would take place near the end of the book, it will probably be on the train, where Harry first met Luna, and Luna will come in Harry's compartment and give him a kiss and she'll run out leaving Harry shocked and quite happy. This is what I think is going to happen. That most of the romance in the series will probably take place in the 7th book. But then again, I could be wrong.

P.S.- I would also like to mention the fact that Luna's last name is LOVEGOOD. That has to mean something.

It's going to be Ginny as opposed to Luna I think - I think they just go well together. Harry and Luna might have a lot in common but I think he thinks she's a weirdo.

I know it won't be Hermione (she belongs to Ron, doesn't she ?), and I really think Ginny would be perfect for Harry.

I also doubt that it will be Luna.

But Ginny... Let's consider it...
She's no longer shy as she used to be in the "Chamber" and she has more confidence. She's not afraid to talk to Harry anymore, and she's a good friend he can count on. And he likes her, we know that. He just doen't know yet how much he likes her ! lol
In the first books they were kids, and Harry did not pay attention to girls. Now, there has been the Cho thing (and thanks god it's really over - well, I don't like Cho very much...-), and Harry will maybe discover in "Half Blood Prince" that the person he was looking for was in fact Ginny ! Very often we need some time to realize how much we love the people aroud us...

Seriously, don't you think she's perfect for him ? She's the sister of his best friend (and let's admit it, Harry is certainly the only boy of the school who'll be "allowed" by Ron to date Ginny !)
Moreover, I can't help noticing some resemblance between Ginny and Lily. I guess the Potters may have a soft spot for red haired girls...

I could see that seen better in Neighbours/Sunset Beach etc. Hopefully not in a film. Its a far too common way for a writer to bring in tension.

However if the scene did happen it would be Harry kissing Hermione on the cheek, thanking her for something she's helped him with. (Although I can't see two opposite sex buddies doing that (friend collegues that you get along well with, yes)). Ron walks in as Harry pulls head away. Ron refuses to talk to the pair of them. Chapter spent asking Ron what is wrong. Ron finally tells them. They go "Ron you twit". And plot continues.

However I believe JK has more talent than that sort of "script"

I reckon that Harry will kiss Ginny.

For ages now i've thought that they would be perfect together. Even Ron would support it, i believe. Obviously at first he would find it awkward but i don't think Ron could think of a better person who's good enough for his little sister.

Now hear me out... Ginny is the only one who stands up to Harry when he's angry and blaming and shouting at everyone. While Hermione and Ron are rather timid and cautious in confronting him about matters, Ginny is straightforward and she means no malice by it. She sympathizes and seems to silently understand him. She's just as strong-willed (see her with her brothers?) and brave is he is. I really think that Harry has found his match in Ginny.

Ok i would TOTALLY hate to see Harry kiss Ginny.....as much as i love the Weasley family, i just really dont think its right.....I read the 10,000 word essay(did anyone else?) about Harry and Hermione as a couple, and i am really starting to believe it......and jkr said that Harry will tell his nearest and dearest about the prophecy when he is ready.....ok we know that Ron is not his dearest, so it must be Hermione.....i think Harry will kiss her and i will be totally excited!!!!

Harry + Ginny= Nooo! she lost her interest in him but if harry start to ask her (he will never do that) then she may go out with him.And well ron wants ginny+harry because it states in book 5 when ginny tells him that she broke with michael corner he said that she should choose SOMEONE BETTER next time and gave harry a look like i mean you. but there are more chances here that harry will take ginny coz JKR said harry won't have time to romance in that way ginny is in order and in quiddtich and in harry's hause griffindor.and what eals did JKR said that hary will stay short time at dursleyes so he might go back to the burrow.To ginny.

Harry + Cho= certainly not coz when harry heard that cho was dateing someone eals this news didn't hurt him and he said she is cheerful enought with someone eals.so they are certainly aren't going to be togeather again.


Harry + A new girl= well yes there are two posiibilities

1. It could be a slitherin girl not pensy. becuse now that voldy is back every hause should be friends i mean griffindor slitherin..etc. and grifindor and other 2 hauses get on very well togeather except slitherin. so harry will try and bring slitherin togeather with the rest of the school. but chances here are low too because the story of this book was for book two and book two story was for book 6 so i don't think that he will make up with slitherin becuse they are in control of molfoy.

2. Or Harry will simply take a 1st year but chances are very low cus look at his age now like 15 or 16 and a new comer will be 11 so...you know what i mean it's a bit old for harry to have a girl like that old.

Okay, first of all Harry will NOT kiss Hagrid or Dumbledore, nor will Hermione hook up with McGonagall. That's just absured! seriously.

Anyways, i don't think that Harry will kiss Hermione or the other way around because they are like brother and sister, it is made very obvious that Harry doesn't like her like that. He loves her, but in a brotherly way.

Ron is the one with a crush on her, and if you read the books and watch the movies carefully then you will come to find that J.K. has put those hints in for a purpose and i'm sure that she has her own reasons for doing so!

I personally think that it will be someone new because ginny has already gotten over him, and anyways she's dating Dean Thomas now! and Luna is just a little too out there for Harry, but you never know!
