I’m Crazy About You
Chapter 1
“JAMES” Lily shrieked. She turned on her heal and sprinted as fast as she out on to the grounds in the cold night air. She had just caught her boyfriend, James Potter, with another girl.
How could this be? Why did I trust him? I knew it was to good to be true. She thought. Millions of thoughts like this ran through her head as she ran. She wanted to keep running. Did not want to stop. Ever!
Lily Evans ran deep into the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper had always taught her to keep to the paths. Students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were not allowed in the forest, but sometimes and odd class would down there. Detentions were sometimes there too.
Lily did not care about the rules at this particular time. She payed no attention on where she ran. When she was deep into the forest where she knew James would not find her, she collapsed and began to cry.
“LILY! Where are you?” James called across the grounds, worry in his eyes.
How could you have been so stupid? He asked himself. You finally get the girl of your dreams and you cheat on her.
“AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHH” James was so angry with himself.
He sat in the middle of the grounds and did not move for what felt like hours.
(I don't know why, what I'm doing what I'm doing)

“Prongs? What are you doing? We’ve been looking for you all over!” It was Sirius. James’ best mate. He didn’t look up.
“Sirius. I screwed up” Was all James could say.
“Prongs what are you talking about?” Sirius asked confused.
“Padfoot .. ”
“What Prongs?”
James looked up and Sirius gasped. “What on earth happened?”
“Lily”
“James what did you do?”
“Dana”
“James. No! You didn’t, did you?”
“Yes Sirius. And now Lily. She’s gone. Probably for good.”
“James where did she go?”
“The forest.”
Sirius bolted up to the castle while James just sat there.

Lily regained control of herself and looked around wiping her eyes. She had no idea where she was or what way she had come from. So she decided she’d wait until sunrise. She got comfortable amongst the roots of the tree and tried to sleep. But it was impossible.

The next morning, Lily woke with a start. She still had no idea where she was, and when she woke, it felt like she had just closed her eyes. She could barely see the sky through the thickness of the trees. This worried her greatly.
The Marauders had been looking for Lily all over, but could not find her anywhere.
By breakfast time, Lily’s friends had noticed she had disappeared. As soon as they saw the boys enter the Great Hall all looking like they had had no sleep, Lily’s three best friends bowled them over and questioned them.
“Where’s Lily?”
“Where have you been?”
“Is she okay?”
“Are you okay?”
“What happened?”
The boys sat there stunned by what just happened, then reality hit them again.
James and Sirius raced to the staff table to where Professor Dumbledore, the Head Master, sat.
“Professor, we need your help” James gasped.
“Surely boys, this can wait until after breakfast?” His eyes twinkled.
“But Professor –” Sirius began.
“Boys” Barked Professor McGonagall, the Gryffindor head of house barked.
As the boys finished their breakfast, the post arrived. Remus gasped. “James, Sirius”
They looked over his shoulder and gasped too.
“Voldemorts on the move” Sirius whispered.
“Where too?” James asked
“Hogsmeade” Sirius practically shouted. A few people looked around to see what was going on.
“Come on” Said Remus and he jumped up. Sirius and James followed instantly.
James’ head was spinning.

The ran as fast as they could back up to the head master. “Professor, Help! Please?”
Dumbledore notices they all had panick in their voices and worry etched in their faces.
“What is it boys?”
“Lily” James gasped.
“Where is she?”
“We don’t know. We were looking for her all night. I – I did something she didn’t like last night and well …” James started.
“Professor, she ran into the Forbidden Forest and she hasn’t been seen since.” Remus helped.
“I’m sure she will be okay” Dumbledore stated but James new that look only to well. It was clear to Dumbledore that he thought something had happened to Lily.
“Look” Remus handed the Daily Prophet to Dumbledore who jumped up/
“Come on boys” He said and ran down the hall.
People were standing up to see what was going on. Some people followed the out. Eventually the whole school were crammed in the Entrance Hall watching where Dumbledore and the Marauders were going.
James through a signal to Elle, Lily’s best friend, who grabbed Tally and Bell. They followed.

Chapter 2
It was nearing dark before anyone sent up red sparks. James sat in the heart of the forest with Lily passed out in his arms.

*Flashback*
“LILY” James ran over to her.
“James” She barely whispered.
“Come on Lil. Stay with me”
“James. I’m Sorry” and she passed out.
“Sorry? Why are you sorry? You didn’t do anything. Lily? Lily? LILY?”
James grabbed his wand and sent up red sparks.
James sat craddeling her in his arms.
“Lily. Wake up. Please. I need you” James’ eyes filled with tears.
He hugged her tightly and passed out.
*End Flashback*
James woke with a jerk and looked at his watch. It was 1am.
What’s going on? He thought. James had sent up spark 4 and a half hours ago.
Dumbledore, McGonagall, Sirius, Remus, Bell, Elle and Tally sat in Dumbledore office worried out of their minds.
“You best get back to the common room. Get some sleep” McGonagall said.
“Sleep?” Do you really think we can sleep when 2 of our best friends are missing?” Sirius roared.
“I’ll accompany the back Sir.” And they left.
“I’ve got it!” Sirius gasped as the got to the bottom
Everyone looked at him. “Why didn’t we think of this earlier?”
“What?” Remus asked a little annoyed.
“The mirror”
“Run”
“Black, Lupin, What in the world are you talking about?” Barked Professor McGonagall.
“When we were in our 2nd year, Me and James wanted a way to communicate when we were in separate detentions so we made 2 way mirrors. We usually keep them on us at all times, but mines in my room at the moment.” Sirius rambled then he and Remus took off.
“Did you girls know anything about this?” McGonagall asked them.
“No!” Tally answered truthfully. “But it really could help” she added. And the girls too, took off.
McGonagall went after them as quickly as she could but was no match for any of them.
Sirius raced up stairs and went for his mirror which was stashed under his pillow.
“JAMES” He said. “James. Where are you? Answer James.” He headed back down stair still trying to get a hold of James.
“What nonsense boys” McGonagall came through the portrait hole. “Don’t be silly. This is ridiculous. Bed now. All of you”
No-one moved.

As James lay with Lily in his arms, He heard a faint voice. He looked up. He could have sworn it was Sirius.
The mirror! He thought.
He pulled the mirror out of his pocket. “Sirius” He gasped.

Everyone dropped silent and Sirius looked at the mirror where James’ face had appeared.
“Prongs. Where are you?” He asked desperately.
“Forest. Is Moony there?”
“I’m over here” Remus said.
“What’s with the nicknames?” Tally asked.
“Never mind that now. We have to find Lily and James” Remus said urging Sirius to find out.
“Right.” Sirius looked back at James.
“Why didn’t you send up red sparks?” he asked.
“I did. 4 and a half hour ago. But I passed out. I don’t know why. It’s creepy out here. Lily’s been out for a while. She hasn’t woken since I found her.”
“We’ll send for Dumbledore. In 5 minutes send up red sparks. You’ll be okay.”
Chapter 3
Once again everyone was running towards the Forbidden Forest.
“Sirius, sparks. Now would be nice” James said into the mirror.
“There” Bell called.
Sparks flew high into the sky at least a kilometre away.
“Spread out into a line, keep in two’s and walk that way. Be careful.” Dumbledore’s orders were easy but sharp. So everyone split up and headed that way.

“Levicorpus” A cold, but familiar voice rang through the forest and James was lifted into the air by his ankle.
“What the?” He gasped.
“Now look. It’s you up there and us down here” the boy said.
Snivellus! James thought.
“Whats the matter Potter?” He asked coolly. “To afraid to speak?”
“Let me down Snivellus” James shouted.
“You wish Potter. What about all the times you did it to me in front of everyone in the courtyard?”
“You deserved it”
Severus Snape and James Potter had been enemies since their first year.
James looked madly around for his wand. Snape still hadn’t shown himself and was moving around.
Accio wand He thought desperately. His wand flew into his room. He muttered the counter curse, crumpled to the ground at the same time shouted “Protego”
Snape shot curse after curse at James. As soon as he got the chance he threw sparks after sparks into the air.
“Bind him now. The dark lord is not going to be happy if we don’t get them.” a high cruel voice said.
“Shut it Bell.” Snape spat.
All of a sudden ropes tied James’ hands together. He looked at Lily. She was bound too. “Try anything and you done for” Snape whispered sharply.
“You’re forgetting something” James laughed.
“What?” He grinned evily.
“I still have my wand Snively”
“SECTUMSE – ” Snape began.
“Expelliarmus” James was quicker.
Three wands flew into the air which James grabbed for. “Levicorpus” He muttered.
“Not you try anything and you’re done for” James said, his face inches away from Snapes.
“JAMES?” Voices were staring to ring out through the forest.
“LILY? Where are you?”
“PRONGS?”
“Over here!” James called.
Remus and Sirius got there first. “What’s he doing here?” Sirius asked with a look of disgust on his face.
“Doesn’t matter about that now. I need help with Lily” James replied after there manly hug.
“Professor. We found them!” Remus called.
Chapter 4
Back in the hospital wing, James recounted everything for Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, his friends, and again for Madame Pomfrey, The school nurse.
Lily still hadn’t woken, no-one knew exactly what was wrong with her either.
That night, James lay in the hospital wing, staring at Lily unable to sleep.
He really did love her!

Lily began to stir, so James jumped up and sat on her bed by her side.
“Lily?” He whispered.
She stirred once more.
“Lily, I’m so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. Once I had you, I ….” He took a deep breath and carried on. “I don’t know. Dana was nothing. She meant nothing. I realized what I was losing as soon as I saw your face. I remembered things. I regret so much Lil, but none as great as this. I’m so sorry.” James’ eyes filled with tears. “How will I survive without you?” James spoke quietly but truthfully. “I need you. I love you Lily Evans.” He whispered.

“I will marry you one day” with that he kissed her cheek and went back to his bed. He fell asleep quickly after that.
After James had got back in his bed, Lily rolled over to face the opposite direction and opened her eyes. She had heard everything James said.
She got up quietly and leaned over James’ sleeping body. “I love you to!” She whispered kissing his cheek.
Chapter 5
The next day, all the Marauders and Lily’s friends were in the hospital wing. Lily and James couldn’t remember anything that had happened in the forest, and the story was forgotten. The only thing people seemed to have remembered was the fact that James had kissed another girl, Lily had seen, done something about it and there was a bizarre accident.
They all talked happily among themselves, the nurse wasn’t happy to have so many people visiting at once, but it was allowed by the head master. This bummed her completely.
By lunch everyone was gone. Lily and James had their final check-ups and they were allowed to leave too.
“Lily wait” James started
Lily turned. “yes?” She asked.
“Listen, I’m sorry for.. well, everything.” And he was off.
So he can say it to my face …… She thought. She smiled to herself.
“What?” James asked confused.
“I heard you last night”
“Oh…” and they started walking to the great hall for lunch.
Everyone was happy to have Lily and James back, and Lily and James were happy to be back together and with there friends.
They ate lunch and talked happily.
James stared across the table at his amazing girlfriend.

Lily looked up and smiled.
“I love you!” He mouthed.
“I love you too” She mouthed back. They smiled at each other and she looked away.
Now James thought.
He pulled a box out of his pocket, went around to her, got down on one knee and whispered.
“Lily?”
Having not noticed he was there, she turned surprised.
“Yeah? James what are you doing? Get up”
“Lily Evans, Will you make me the happiest man alive? Will you marry me?”
Lily stared into James eyes.
