even though i love ron weasley with a passion from the whole list my fav ship would be hermione & ron ... for some reason they look soo cute together . there constant bickering . & how shes so smart & he's so slow , they both never seem to find a solution with one another. & when ron tries to be smooth & sweet to her & it works ... smart hermione doesnt know what to do . she just blushes which is cute , becuase shes like that nerdy girl in school who no one seems to like , so she isnt use to the attention & when she is given that attention she doesnt know how to handle it i seem to thnk this . how about anyone else ?

harry & ginny just dont seem to go together ! she always for some reason acts so immature . i personally feel that harry deserves someone else . NOT CHO!

i love THE WHOLE relationship of hermione and ron, at first in SS they didnt get along much until ron asked her [after defeating the troll] "what are friends for?" then i could already tell they would end up having kids and getting married, i support every concept for the h/r ship. but the harry/ginny relationship i don't really think it matches up as good as harry/cho because harry and cho made a good match. i kinda got ****ed off in DH book where cho was supposed to show harry the lost diadem of ravenclaw; how it looked like, that part where ginny was like "luna can show you, right harry?" and cho sat down disappointed. its like ginny wants harry all for herself, and also that part in DH where gabrielle [fleurs sister] was batting her eyelashes at harry and ginny cleared her throat loudly? honestly i prefer cho/harry.

To be perfectly honest. i am a big H/Hr shipper, even though it never happened. However, if you wanted a ship that happened in the series...I would have to pick Tonks and Lupin. I think they become such a good couple. Especially after Teddy is born. And they way Tonks runs after Lupin in the final battle shows that they truly are in love.

I've always liked harry and ginny's relationship, but it never was really developed.. idk...so i chose tonks and lupin cuz tonks is so cool, and they're just an awesome couple!!!

Hermione and Viktor. That was always my favorite for some reason, it could have something to do with the fact when I was little Hermione was my favorite and I never really liked Ron but I did like Viktor. Plus in the movie they looked so cute at the ball despite Hermione's dress (it looked like a giant cake in my opinion!). I like Tonks and Lupin too, but the end with them was soooo sad.

I have to say Ron and Hermione. It's so fun reading the books and watching them go from awkward friends, to almost complete enemies, to a kiss, to marriage! It's really funny! Their relationship was pretty obvious, you know everyone tells girls 'When boys insult you that means they like you"

i was REALLY split between Ron and hermione, and Harry and Ginny.
i love Ron and hermione's for the way the bicker and everything but everyso often they look at eachother truthfully, as in "i fancy you" kinda way hahaa.

Ginny and harry- i like them because i think theyre quite alike. they only speak when needed but both hold such strong opinions! and i love how they can just look at eachother and know that they both feel the same or whatever

I don't honestly think that JKR is that good at writing about romantic relationships but I really think Tonks and Lupin's intertwining story is beautifully writen...although the ending is tragic My favorite part of the 6th book is the bit in the hospital wing with Tonks and Lupin after DD dies.

The only relationship I can stand in the HP series is Tonks/Lupin. All others are...wrong...for complete lack of a better word.

I think I'm going to be the oddball in this discussion. I'm a huge fan of Hermione, therefore most of the fanfiction/ships I support have Hermione in them. I know these characters are dead and their older, but I absolutely, positively, one-hundred percent support Hermione/Sirius and Hermione/Tom Riddle Jr. (hides from the wands). As if you couldn't tell from my avatar ! Of course, then I pretty much support HermioneXanyone.

I do support Lily/Severus, Lily/James, Lupin/Tonks and Ginny/Neville, Ginny/Draco, and Luna/Harry, Luna/Ron, and Pansy/Ron, Pansy/Harry though. Lol... what a weirdo am I.

As you'll never be able to tell, my favourite and loved ship by far of HP is Hermione and Ron. (there's no even need of say that, I think someday, somebody will kill me to shut me up)
It's a great couple, because of the hate/love thing: if you don't like something about somebody, but you're still able to stand and love him/her, then it's because you have a thing. It's great, oh ... they make me cry.

I voted Tonks and Lupin because they are perfect for each other, they make each other happy and they would die for each other. I would have voted for Harry and Ginny, but I found that J.K. didn't develop their relationship enough. Teddy is just soooooooooooo perfect, and I feel so sad that Tonks and Lupin die. I cried so much when they died, as much as when Ozymandias died in "the Lake House", and when Leafpool left Crowfeather in the "Warriors" series. Anyway, the point is, Tonks and Lupin are perfect for each other.

Ron and Hermione forever! For the longest time with HP they where the only ship I had. I'm still a bit flexible with the other characters, for example, I love Ginny and Harry but it would hardly have been the end of the world if Harry ended up with Luna. Ron and Hermione were always meant for each other.

My favorite hp relationship is ron and lavender only because of how repulsivley stupid and hilarious they are together. If you dont base it on that, my favorite relationship in hp is harry and ginny and thats because its kinda like me and my girlfriend, where they didnt like eachother at first but grew really accoustemed to eachother, and they are completly adourable together.

You know, I wondered about that myself. It should have been listed, especially since there are several H/Hr shippers on Veritaserum. I totally agree with you, H/Hr was the anticipated ship, and not just by you and me!

Now that Rowling has said that "it could have gone (H/Hr)" (in an interview last month), perhaps this thread should be archived and one with an updated poll started up. The moderator should include H/Hr as one of the favorite HP relationships. As it is now, H/Hr is grouped with various other ships under "other" in the poll.

Ron and Hermione. I must admit I thought it was going to be Hermione and Harry for awhile... but Ron and her really go along. Ok yea they did get into fights but think about it - them getting into fights means that they have different opinions and if they have different opinions than they don't have all that much in common. If there is someone you have a LOT in common with, it's going to be a little boring to be with that person because than you are stuck doing the same thing OVER and OVER and THERE IS NO VARIETY sometimes you know? BUT that isn't always true... if you have something in common with someone you will fight more than if you don't. Take me and my dad for example, we are both stubborn, sometimes varying in moods, opinionated, straight forward, and both have brown curly-ish hair. Main reason we don't get along. Ok maybe the brown curly-ish hair doesn't have much to do with this but for some reason if I had like reddish hair like my Gramma or my aunt, I might be a different type of person, I'm starting to develop a theory on hair color by the way! But Ron and Hermione do have stuff in common, but a lot of things NOT in common, so that's healthy. So they fight, we've all fought with everyone. Ok not EVERYONE like your parent's business partners or your siblings best friends, but that's because your family is counting on you to make an impression and that's a different story all together. I feel like I'm rambling on and on but do you guys get my points? I'll come back later maybe...

I am sorry to Cho lovers- but I hate the Harry and Cho relationship, I think it ruins HBP...but so does Ron and Lavender's relationship, but that's more funny than ruining the book

My favorite ships probably aren't that popular, but I have two favorites.

First being Bellatrix Lestrange and Lord Voldemort, I thought it was absolutely adorable how completely infatuated she was it him. She was totally devoted to him no matter what and loved him as much as she could. I know she'd do anything for him. Plus, they both have the skill to be truly evil. Not some pathetic attempt at being evil. Bellatrix knows how to torture, and even though its terrible, her great abilities are still impressive. I'm confident that the Dark Lord enjoyed her playing with her food before she ate it. If he had been capable of loving someone and giving himself to them, then I think she would've been the one.

My other favorite is Snape and Lily. I cannot mention enough how much Snape's love for Lily warms my heart. I believe I just posted something along the lines of this and just saying that almost made me cry. The way Severus loves Lily shows that there is no way that in his core he is a bad person. Sometimes I can't stand James Potter just because I think he was the downfall of Lily and Snape. I think without James they could've recovered. I guess fan fictions are around so I can get to live out my Snape and Lily happy ending.

I like Ron and Hermione best because their relationship was developed throughout the whole of the series and I felt for them more than anyone else.
Lupin and Tonks were all right too I think but there wasn't really much about them in it.
As for Harry and Ginny, I just don't feel their connection.

But I also don't see why the maker of this topic didn't add Harry/Hermione into the poll, but still, Hermione and Ron would've won. they are such ac cute couple together and I find it absolutely hilarious that in every single book they get into a stupid fight, mostly because of ron though. I still love how they came together at the end of the 7th book when hermione kissed ron. that was my favorite kissing scene in HP!

I've always been a Dramione fan.
It would have been such a ridiculous, yet fabulous twist if the two had gotten together at the last minute. Plus it would have emphisised the new life decisions Draco was making, and following. It would have proven that he was no longer part of the Dark Side that he was born into.
Plus if you've read some of the Dramione fanfics, or seen some of the Youtube videos, you'd be just as convinced as I am.

Me? Shipping cannon? Nope, doesn't happen ever.

I am a die hard, needs to go to a loony bin, crazy fan of the Snape/Hermione ship. I've ALWAYS enjoyed their conflicts, personality differences, everything about the ship. I don't like Ron, end of story, so for awhile I thought 'Who would be a good match for Hermione?' and Snape came to my mind. She's too mature for her age, she can't date boys, she needs men. And I don't ship then while Hermione is still in school, she is out of Hogwarts, on her own. It's not some weird student/teacher illegal ship, it can work.

I also loved Snape/Lily. But I think I enjoy the story behind it more than the actual ship itself. After finding out Lily was Sev's best friend in childhood, then he was in love with her, intriqued me. Them being together naturally, I just could picture it. Lily balences Sev out, and vice versa. But SS/HG will always be my preferred ship

I've always loved the story of Lily and Severus. I find it so heart warming. As glad as I am that Lily and James got married, and had Harry, and such... It would have been so cute for Lily and Sev, to get together.

My all time favorite HP relationship, although it did not materialize, is Harry and Hermione. I also like Luna a lot, and I thought she was perfect for Ron. So, I favor an R/L relationship. I was rooting for both of these couples, but alas, Rowling had other plans.

A canon HP relationship that did happen and that I like is Tonks and Remus. It's a real shame that they had to die. But, they did leave behind a little memento of their love in the form of Teddy.

i love hermione and ron's relationship because there is a big story behind it. it seems like since the day she told ron about the dirt on his nose on the hogwarts express they were made for each other. also the things that hermione and ron went through made for a relationship that i wanted to follow throuhgout HBP and DH. their relationship also reminds me of mine with my GF, a little rocky, but i still love her <3

i think tonks and lupin totaly cuz there relationship is so hard but tonks didnt care if he was a werewolf or that he could kill her no nothing stopped her.and also lupin feeling down all the time cuz he might hurt her good for them

definately a HUGE Ron/Hermione shipper. i have been since the very beginning of the series. theres just something about them that i love! theyre my favourite relationship in Harry Potter. they have a lot of history and theyre an interesting pair.
i also love Harry/Ginny, but Ron/Hermione is definately my favourite.

I'm a Harry/Ginny man. Not a strong Harry/Ginny man, but all the same it's my favourite ship.

The books are really the Harry Potter show so his relationships get the most exposure and i genuinely liked Ginny in the books (i know loads of people hated her) so i thought it was nice that they got together, although the end of HBP was a little bit of a letdown for those who wanted to see the relationship sustained over the course of Deathly Hallows.

Ron and Hermione just doesn't inspire me. I didn't get the chemistry between them, it all seemed a little manufactured and inevitable. I feel like it only happened because everyone knew it would, that's why they had to add so much more subtext to the films than was in the books.

I like the Harry/Ginny ship. I always knew they would end up since i read the second one. I never liked the Harry Cho ship. she was too annoying. Although my Favorite ship is Lupin and Tonks. i think they are perfect together and i like the fact that they named harry godfather of thier son.

some cool relationships arent on here. i would have said bellatrix/voldemort because thats awesome. also i think that Hermione/Krum does not really count as a relationship. seriously, going to a dance with someone is not necessarily a relationship. otherwise, i would have to say Lupin and Tonks, mainly because theyre the coolest characters ever and are perfect together.

I really like Harry and Ginny and i just NEW they would end up 2gether. same with Hermionie and Ron. good thing 2. But, I chose Tonks and Lupin. I was NOT expecting that!! lol. after the 5th book Tonks quickly became my new favorite character. When I was reading the 6th book i thought Tonks was under the Imperius Curse!! lol! I hated the way it ended!!!

Ron and Hermione, definitely! I was very close to picking Remus and Tonks, as they're very sweet together, but Ron and Hermione's relationship is realistic and well-developed. It was also bound to happen. I'm sure that many who read DH shouted, "Finally!" I know I did. Even my dad knew, and he doesn't even read the books.
Harry and Cho? Ew, no. That relationship was more based on looks than personality. It just wasn't real. Cho/Cedric? Maybe. Cho/Harry? I do not support it at all. Now, Harry/Ginny, that's a real relationship. I rather like the awkwardness of it all in HBP as well; you know, liking his best friend's sister and, in her point of view, liking your brother's best friend. Usually, that's taboo when it comes to friends, but I'm glad Ron didn't mind them together.
Then, there's Severus/Lily. I actually do support that couple, just not to the point that they actually end up together. Basically, I support Severus' love for Lily. It was very touching.

Hands down - Lupin and Tonks! I loved Lupin from book 3 on and was so happy that he met someone as vivacious and colorful as Tonks, and that she loved him as fiercely as she did. Though we didn't get to know much about them (sniffle) I'm sure the relationship was wonderful for both of them. A small part of me thought Bill/Fleur was extremely entertaining but only because Fleur is so, um...Fleur.
