Harry Potter is Real?!
by Ginny.Weasley
The forest was dark and sombre; it was night. The only light came from the wand tip of a lone man walking on the beaten path. Harry watched as the man approached a secluded clearing filled with pieces of junk, such as tires, hats, and even an old bicycle. How they had gotten there Harry was unsure. The place looked slightly familiar but where exactly this was Harry didn’t know for certain. The man deftly avoided all the items, and went to the middle of the clearing. Now Harry could see the items had been strategically placed in a circle around the little empty space. The man took out a long cane from inside his cloak and laid it on the ground. It looked familiar to Harry but he couldn’t remember where he had seen it before. The man extinguished his wand and Harry could now only see the flashes of coloured light where the man was performing complex spells. There was a flash of white light and then all went dark. The man lit his wand again and left the clearing. The place where the cane had been was empty, just as before. Right before he left the clearing completely the man turned in Harry’s direction, his face illuminated by the wand light.
Harry Potter gasped and sat up with a start. He was sweating and his hands shook, though why that was he really couldn’t say. He had been having the same dream for nights now, about the man with the cane, and it wasn’t really a nightmare. It was simply more of a vision of sorts. Tonight had been the first time however that Harry could see the man’s face. It had been Lucius Malfoy who had hid his cane in the clearing. Harry was uncertain where the clearing was located, but it did look very much like the Forbidden Forest. One thing was for sure; he had to know what Lucius was up to and stop it. If he knew Lucius at all, he knew that the odds were that Lucius wasn’t doing something good. He glanced at his alarm clock; it read 5:48 am. He decided that it was late enough that he could go visit Kingsley Shacklebolt at the Ministry of Magic and talk to him about what to do.
“What are you up to Harry?” Ron Weasley called groggily across the room, waking up as Harry got dressed.
“I have to go to the Ministry,” Harry answered while pulling on his socks and grabbing his shoes.
“You do know it’s not quite 6 yet?” Ron muttered, now sitting up and rubbing his dishevelled hair.
“Ron I had the dream again,” Harry told him quietly. “And I know who the man in the clearing is now.”
“Who is it?” Ron asked, now alert and concerned.
“Lucius Malfoy,” Harry answered simply.
“That little scumbug,” Ron said in disbelief. “After all we did to save his son, and now he has to go off and do something sneaky.”
“That’s why I have to go see Kingsley,” Harry explained. “He can tell me what Lucius is up to. Would you like to come?”
“Sure,” Ron answered. He was already grabbing a set of clothes from his dresser drawer.
A few minutes later, Ron was ready and the pair left their apartment and Apparated to the Ministry.
“Harry Potter!” The guard on duty, named Eric, had seen Harry and Ron and he was now walking towards them. “What can the Ministry do for you today?”
“I need to see Kingsley immediately,” Harry told him.
“Of course,” Eric said and began to lead them down to the elevators. It was very quiet, being that most people were still sleeping in their beds at home.
After the elevator ride, Eric led them over to the Minister’s office. He knocked on the door three times and stepped back a step to wait for instructions.
“Come in.” Harry heard Kingsley’s voice through the door and noticed that the Minister sounded tired.
“Thanks Eric,” Ron said as he and Harry entered the office. Kingsley was seated behind a desk at the opposite end of the room. He was bent over some papers and was reading very quickly, his eyes moving swiftly back and forth. When Harry and Ron took a seat he finally glanced up to see who his visitors were.
“Hello boys,” he said, putting down the paper and leaning forward. “You’re just the person I wanted to see Harry.”
“Why did you want to see me?” Harry asked, taken by surprise.
“I have just received word,” Kingsley held up the letter, “that Lucius Malfoy is up to his old tricks. It seems that he has found a way to resurrect Voldemort from the dead and he has hidden his secret in his cane. This could be a serious threat and I was wondering if you would like to work on resolving this case for me. I am quite busy at the moment and I’m sure an Auror in-training such as yourself would like a chance to work a case.”
“I would love to Kingsley,” Harry replied immediately. “That’s actually what I came here to talk to you about.”
“Oh?” Kingsley said, raising his eyebrows.
“You see sir; I’ve been having this same dream lately. It was always about a man hiding a cane in the clearing in a dark forest. I could never see who the man was until this morning, when he turned to face me. It was-“
“Lucius Malfoy,” Kingsley cut Harry off, nodding his head. “Well this makes things interesting. You seem like the perfect man for the job Harry, I’m positive you can handle Lucius. Take your friends with you though and retrieve this cane. We can’t let it fall in the wrong hands.”
“Yes sir,” Harry said and stood up. He and Ron both shook the Minister’s hand and left the office.
Once outside Ron asked, “Who should we get to join us?”
Harry replied; “I’ll go to Ginny and Hermione’s place to see if they want to come, and you can go see if George and Luna would like to join us. Neville’s in Japan right now, otherwise I’d say to get him too. Meet me back at the apartment in an hour.”
“Alright,” Ron agreed and the two split up.

“Edward where are we going?” Bella Swan asked as her boyfriend/fiancé Edward Cullen took her arm and led her to the path.
“Take a wild guess love,” he said, smiling at her confused expression.
“I can’t think of anything,” she sighed after a few moments. Edward knew that if she hadn’t been blindfolded from the moment they left his house she would know immediately where they were headed.
“That’s alright, you’ll see in a minute,” he teased and picked her up to carry her as he now ran through the dark trees at a break-neck pace. He slowed down once he reached the clearing of their meadow. Edward gently set Bella down and took off her blindfold. “Recognize this place love?” He asked, trying to hide the smile that played on his lips.
“I should’ve known where you were taking me,” she grinned and turned to give him a gentle kiss. “But why the blindfold?”
“I just felt like it,” Edward laughed. “Plus it might not be long until blindfolding won’t do any good and you’ll still know where I’m taking you.”
“Vampires really don’t need to see to figure out where they are?” Bella asked.
“Well seeing would probably help, but we have our other heightened senses to figure it out,” Edward answered, leading her to a spot in the sun. There they sat, Bella leaning into Edward’s cold, hard body, occasionally talking but for the most part just simply enjoying the rare sunny day in Forks and each other’s company.

“Harry, are you sure this is place you saw in your dream?” Hermione asked for what seemed like the hundredth time.
“Hermione I’m positive,” Harry called back. They were in the Forbidden Forest, on a path that would lead straight into the middle. Harry was hoping it would lead them right to the clearing where Lucius hid his cane.
“He’ll find it,” George said brightly, walking a few steps behind the group. He was acting as a rear guard, in case something came out to attack them. With Lucius, one could never be too sure.
“Is that it?” Ginny asked Harry quietly, pointing up ahead. Harry squinted; he could make out a clearing through the trees.
“I think so,” he answered, and gave Ginny’s hand a squeeze. The party of six, consisting of Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, George, and Luna traipsed through the forest, trying to be as quiet as possible, but it was hard with a group as large as theirs. It was a very cloudy day, the winds brisk and chilly. Three members of their group had their wands lit to provide some light in the dark forest, while the other three had their wands at the ready in case of attack.
It was in fact the clearing that the gang had found. Harry recognized the shape and he saw all the objects. He carefully led the group towards the middle of the clearing where Lucius had put the cane. The group made sure to avoid all the objects as they weren’t sure exactly what they could be.
“The cane was right here,” Harry whispered, bending down to feel the ground.
“Well he must’ve hid it in the ground somewhere,” Hermione offered up.
“That’s probable,” Harry agreed, standing up. He didn’t notice Luna’s foot behind him so when he took a step back he tripped over her foot and began to fall backwards. His arms flailed out and he caught hold of Ginny and George. He fell on top of an old pop can and instantly he felt the sensation of being pulled through a tube. The objects were port keys!

Edward and Bella were still in the meadow when they heard a loud ‘pop’. Bella looked up startled and saw two boys and a girl around their age now sitting in the meadow.
“Um...hello?” She said tentatively. The three hopped to their feet and pulled out their wands.
“Who are you?” Edward demanded, now standing to shield Bella from the newcomers.
“I’m Harry Potter and this is Ginny and George Weasley,” the boy with dark hair and glasses answered cautiously. Bella saw that the other two had the same red hair and concluded that they must be siblings.
“I’m Edward Cullen and this is Bella,” Edward said, gesturing to Bella. “How exactly did you get here and why are you carrying those sticks?”
“Sticks?” Harry asked, confused. “Oh you mean our wands! We’re from London.”
“Oh I know you!” Bella suddenly exclaimed. “You’re the characters from the books!”
“What books?” Edward asked, turning to look at Bella.
“Have you never read the Harry Potter books?” Bella asked, aghast.
“I don’t think so,” Edward replied. Harry and the others looked very confused.
“Well I’ll show you once we go back,” she told him. “I never knew that Harry Potter was real!”
“Excuse me,” the girl named Ginny said quietly, “but where exactly are we?”
“You’re in Forks, Washington,” Edward answered.
“That’s a long way from the clearing in the forest Harry,” George said to Harry.
“How did you guys get here anyway?” Bella wondered aloud.
“We were trying to get Lucius Malfoy’s cane,” George explained. “Apparently he’s found a way to bring Voldemort back from the dead and we had to stop him. But the tricky little devil put port keys all around the place where he hid it and Harry ended up falling on one, taking Ginny and I with him.”
Bella and Edward stared at the three in disbelief. “This is unbelievable,” Bella whispered to Edward. “Did you know that these things were real?”
“Trust me love, I have no idea who any of these people are,” Edward whispered back. “I told you that I haven’t even heard of the books.”
“Well we should take them to see Carlisle and the others,” Bella said. “Maybe Alice knew this would happen or maybe we can help them out.”
“Alright,” Edward agreed. To the newcomers he said, “You guys should come to my place. I’m sure my parents and siblings can help you out.”
The three looked at each other, deciding, before Harry answered. “Alright but we must get back to London immediately. The fate of many lies in the cane.”
Edward led everyone back through the forest out to Bella’s ancient red truck. Harry, Ginny, and George offered to ride in the back, while Edward and Bella sat in the cab. The English people were very quiet during the ride back.
“Hey Edward,” Bella said suddenly. “Do you think it’s alright that we’re bringing strangers to your house? I mean, do you think that’ll they’ll be able to control themselves?”
“I’m positive,” Edward answered. “Alice will have seen us coming and warned everyone else. I’m sure we’ve proven to you by now that even vampires can be well-behaved.”
“I never doubted you,” Bella giggled. “I just needed to be sure.
Because of Bella’s old truck it took a full 30 minutes to get back into town. Bella insisted that they stop at her place so she could grab a Harry Potter book to show Edward, and then they drove to the Cullen’s house. Once they got there and everyone got out of the truck, Bella noticed that Harry and the other two were looking at the house in awe.
“It’s nice isn’t it?” She asked them quietly.
“Yeah,” Ginny answered.
Just then, the front door opened and out came the rest of the Cullens. Ginny thought they all looked friendly enough, but knew better than to judge by appearances.
“Hello there,” a woman stepped forward to greet the guests.
“Hello. I’m Harry, this is George and this is Ginny,” Harry introduced them once again. They had to hurry and get back to London. He had been thinking during the ride to the Cullen house about how to get back but he couldn’t think of any way to get there. He didn’t know how to make a port key and Apparating overseas would be too risky.
“It’s nice to meet you,” the woman said. “I’m Esme, this is my husband Carlisle and my children and children-in-law; Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper. You’ve already met my other son Edward and Bella.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Ginny said. She had already decided that the Cullens were nice enough people.
“How can we help you?” Carlisle asked.
“We need to get back to London immediately,” Harry answered and explained the situation.
“Well then let’s go,” Carlisle said once Harry had finished explaining.
“How are we going to get there?” George asked. Harry noticed Edward give Jasper a small nod but didn’t think anything of it.
“We’ll take our plane,” Carlisle answered.
“You have a plane?” Ginny asked in disbelief.
“Yup,” Alice answered brightly. “Let’s go!”
The Cullens and Bella led the Harry, Ginny, and George to the back yard. There was a huge garage at the end of the property. Inside there were many fancy cars.
“Oh we’re taking the Porsche!” Alice jumped up and down, clapping her hands. Edward shot her a warning look as Ginny looked at her curiously. “I knew already,” Alice answered sheepishly.
“Alice you take Ginny, Bella and Edward in the Porsche, I’ll take George and Jasper in the Mercedes. Emmett, you take Rose and Esme in your Jeep,” Carlisle said, giving out instructions. Everyone nodded and went into their perspective cars.
“So do you guys really do magic?” Alice asked Ginny once they were speeding out of Forks on the highway.
“Yeah we had to go to school to learn it too,” Ginny answered and glanced in the back where Bella and Edward were curled up and Bella was showing Edward the Harry Potter book she had brought.
“I find it amazing how you guys are actually real,” Bella said softly, looking up. “I always thought these were only fiction.”
“I never knew we were in books,” Ginny laughed.
“Hey Edward...” Alice trailed off.
“No you can’t Alice,” Edward snapped.
“But she’ll figure it out anyway,” Alice whined. “And Ginny already told us they know magic
so they must deal with magical creatures all the time.”
Edward sighed and looked at her intently for a moment. Ginny was very confused by this exchange but Bella looked unfazed.
“Alright,” Edward conceded.
“Yay!” Alice squealed. “So Ginny we have a little secret of our own.”
“Oh yeah?” Ginny asked, curious now.
“Yeah. What kinds of magical creatures do you know about?” Alice asked.
“A whole bunch,” Ginny replied. “We take a Care of Magical Creatures class at school and I knew a werewolf, but he died a couple years ago.”
“She knows about werewolves?” Bella piped up suddenly.
“They’re not the same as over here,” Edward explained. “Jake is different than the ones over there. Those werewolves are more vicious and dangerous.”
“So could someone explain what you guys are talking about?” Ginny asked, once again confused.
“Oh never mind, I’ll tell you later,” Alice answered brightly. Everyone looked at her in total confusion.
“Alice you know you’re really hard to follow sometimes,” Bella laughed.
“That’s why you love me,” Alice grinned.
An hour later they were in Seattle. Ginny hadn’t even noticed the time go by. The other cars were already there.
“Ginny, there you are,” Harry said in relief. “I thought maybe they’re crazy driving got you killed or something.”
“Relax Harry I’m fine,” Ginny giggled and grabbed his hand. Waiting by the cars was a huge jumbo jet. It gleamed in the sun and Ginny’s mouth opened in shock.
“We’re taking that?” She asked.
“Yup,” Alice answered grabbing her arm and pulling her away from Harry. “Let’s go so you guys can save the day!”
Everyone piled into the jet and chose seats. Ginny saw that with the Cullen family, they all sat in their respective couples. She felt bad for George because everyone else was paired up and he was like the fifth wheel. But her sympathy didn’t last long when he started cracking jokes. He entertained everyone on the plane and the ride to London didn’t take as long as she thought it would.
They got off the plane at a secret terminal that Ginny was sure no one else knew about and all 9 of them walked into the city. Harry brought them to the secret telephone booth that would get them into the Ministry. It was a tight squeeze but everyone managed. He entered the secret code and down they went.
The first thing they saw when they got out was the people. Waiting for them was Kingsley, Hermione, Luna, and Ron, as well as several other witches and wizards.
“I’m so glad you guys are back!” Hermione said happily, rushing forward to hug them.
“Now’s not the time Hermione,” Harry protested. “We have to stop Lucius!”
“Calm down mate,” Ron said. “We already took care of him and the cane. Turns out that the whole thing was a hoax.”
“What?” Harry asked, turning to Kingsley for answers.
“It’s true Harry,” Kingsley answered. “Lucius was just pretending that he had something so that he could catch our attention. It turns out that he needed to speak with the Ministry but was too afraid to show his face in public.”
“You know that’s a pretty stupid idea,” George muttered.
“Yeah but has Lucius ever proven that he’s smart?” Hermione said.
“No,” Ginny answered, causing everyone to chuckle.
“Who’s this that you have with you Harry?” Kingsley asked.
“This is the Cullen family,” Harry answered. “The port key took us to Forks, Washington and they found us and helped us out.”
“I owe you many thanks then,” Kingsley nodded in their direction.
“It was our pleasure,” Carlisle said, smiling warmly. “We would love to stay and chat but I’m afraid we must be getting back home. It was a pleasure meeting you Harry, George, and Ginny.”
“Thank you very much Carlisle,” Harry said and then Cullens went back to the elevator that would take them back up to the surface. The wizards noticed that Jasper seemed particularly happy to go home.
“Wait!” Ginny shouted just before they left. She ran to the elevator and whispered to Alice urgently. Alice smiled and whispered something back. Ginny grinned and nodded, and the Cullens were gone.
“What was all that about Ginny?” Harry asked.
“I had to ask Alice an important question,” Ginny shrugged. “It was just about something we talked about earlier.”
“Oh,” Harry replied. “So there really wasn’t a threat?”
“No Harry,” Hermione grinned, shaking her head. “Let’s just go home.”
***
“Hey Alice, what’d you tell the girl?” Jasper asked on the plane ride home.
“She was wondering if we were a sort of magical creature,” Alice answered.
“Where would she get that idea from?” Carlisle asked, smirking at Alice. “You told her about us being vampires didn’t you?”
“Well she was going to find out about us anyway,” Alice defended herself, “so I just told her the truth to save her some energy.”
“Why would you tell her?” Rosalie asked. “Why would she ever need to know?”
“She doesn’t need to know, but she was curious. She won’t tell anyone,” Alice assured everyone.
“I don’t get it,” Emmett said after a few moments of silence.
“I don’t think anyone gets it Emmett,” Edward replied, shaking his head. The others laughed and settled down for a smooth ride back to Forks.

So there you have it. This was my attempt at a Harry Potter meets the Cullens one-shot crossover. I love the Cullen family and I was so glad to be able to write them into a story. Please leave feedback for me so I can improve this. I personally think I've written better things but this was fun for me.
