Not All Is As It Seems.
"No Grawpy! Ye can't go runnin off inta the forest, ye've got jobs te do!" Hagrid yelled after his half-brother who had just taken off into the Forbidden Forest chasing a Unicorn. Sighing Hagrid went back to his Hut and grabbed his crossbow. Fang, hearing the commotion, looking up at Hagrid with a bemused sort of expression on his face, got to his feet and followed Hagrid out.
"Grawpy? Where are ye?" Hagrid called, looking left and right. Seeing some trees looking somewhat squashed Hagrid decided to follow the rough path left by the giant. After following the trail for some time Hagrid came upon an area littered with old junk.
"Wha's all this then?" he asked himself, picking up what was left of a motorbike. There was a moment of confusion as he felt an uncomfortable pulling sensation, before he was thrown into darkness.

"I don't see why we need ot take Defence Against the Dark Arts, I'm pretty sure we can take care of ourselves." Ron complained to anynoe who would listen, which just happened to be Harry and Hermione. They both rolled their eyes.
"You could drop it and take up Muggle Studies, or Ancient Runes mate." Harry said, hiding a smile, knowing full well Ron would rather jump off the Astronomy Tower then do either of those subjects.
"Oh ha ha Harry." Ron replied, glaring at his friend.
Although they didn't complain about it, both Harry and Hermione felt it was useless to take the class, especially after all they had been through. But Professor McGonagall had argued a good case for it, saying that although He Who Must Not Be Named was gone, there were still his followers out there who would do anything to get their master back, or seek revenge on those who destroyed him. Even Ron couldn't argue with that logic, although he loved to complain about it whenever he got the chance.
"Harry's right Ron, there are plenty of other subjects you could take. But since you won't think of Defence Against the Dark Arts as an easy O. You'll be able to pass the practical exam without a problem, leaving more time to study for the subjects your not perfect at." Hermione told him, ignoring the look on his face.
Harry got up and walked over to the window, looking out over the grounds. He had expected to see Hagrid out the front with Grawp, explaining what job they were going to do next, just like every morning. But there was no sign of them, there wasn't even any smoke coming from the chimney.
"I don't think Hagrid's home." he said mostly to himself, a slight frown on his forehead.
Ron and Hermione joined him at the window. Just at that moment there was a flash of light from the forest that made them jump backwards. The was a yelp, Harry had landed on Ron's foot.
"Sorry mate. What do you reckon the light was?" he asked Hermione. Ron was sitting on the floor grasping his foot.
"I don't know. It was too bright to be from a spell. And even at night a spell wouldn't be visible. " she replied, looking thoughtful.
"Maybe we should go check it out?" Harry suggested, looking from Ron to Hermione.
"Well, it's not like we have anything else to do." Ron said, looking up from the floor.
"I was going to practice that new spell McGonagall taught us...." Hermione said, noticing the looks on their face. "But it can wait."
"Good, let's go!"
They left the Common Room in a hurry, making their way down to the Entrance Hall and then out into the Grounds. They bi-passed Hagrids hut and dove into the Forbidden Forest, heading in the general direction they thought the light source came from.
After walking for about twenty minutes they came to an area that resembled a Muggle junk yard. They picked their way through to the centre. Off to one side they found Hagrids' crossbow.
Harry picked it up. "Well Hagrid must have been here, but I wonder why he left his bow."
"Maybe he got scared by something." suggested Ron.
"Yeah and maybe Lord Voldemort has come back from the dead. Come off it Ron, there's nothing in here that would scare Hagrid." Harry said, shaking his head. "I don't think he left iit deliberately."
"Then where is he?"
"I dunno Ron."
"Hey, come and look at this." came Hermiones voice from the toher side of the little clearing.
The boys walked over to her to see what she was so interested in.
"It looks like it's from a motorbike." she said, walking to the other side of it.
"Looks like Grawp had some fun, broke it in half then tossed it as....."
There was a flash and the clearing was suddenly empty.

Meanwhile in the Hundred Acre Wood
*************
"Oh d-d-d-dear!"
"Hello Piglet, why are you hiding under that bush?" asked Winnie the Pooh.
"Th-there's a Stranger in the Woods Pooh Bear, and he's b-b-big too!" came Piglets frightened reply. The entire bush was shaking along with him.
"A-hm-hm-hm. There's no-one but us Piglet. Perhaps you just saw Tigger bouncing around."
"It wasn't T-Tigger Pooh Bear, it was big, and huge and sc-scary." Piglet said, peeking out from under the branches. He inched out, looking all over for the stranger.
The wonderful thing about Tiggers,
Is Tiggers are wonderful things,
Their tops are made out of rubber,
Their bottoms are made out of springs,
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is I'm the only one.
Tiggers are cuddly fellas,
Tiggers are awfully sweet,
Everyone el-es is jealous,
That's why I repeat and repeat.
The wonderful thing about Tiggers,
Is Tiggers are marvellous chaps,
They're loaded with vim and with vigor,
They love to leap in your laps,
They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, pumpy fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is I'm the only one,
I'm the only...
[Tigger crashes into Winnie the Pooh]
"Hoo hoo hoo hoo! Hiya Pooh Bear!"
"Oh hello Tigger, have you seen a Stranger in the Woods Tigger? Piglet thinks he saw one."
"I d-did see one Pooh Bear!"
"A Stranger hey, nope can't say that I have. But then I have been bouncing all day, as bouncing is what Tiggers do best." Tigger said, bouncing on his tail as if to prove the point.
"Then perhaps we should go back to my house, I feel a rumbly in my tumbly."
And so off they went to Pooh's House.
***Picture a turning page***
Arriving at Poohs House they were surprised to see three Strangers standing at Poohs door. They were taller then Christopher Robin.
"Hello Strangers I don't know." Pooh said, walking right up to them.
"P-Pooh, please be c-careful!"
"Can we help you with something? A smackeral of Honey perhaps? A-hm-hm-hm."
The Trio jumped at the voice and they each looked around for the source. All they saw was a stuffed bear, piglet and tiger. Surely they didn't speak.
"Umm...hello?" Harry said, looking around once again for the source of the voice.
"Hello." Pooh replied, smiling up at them.
"Oh Harry, it's the bear!" Hermione said, her eyes wide in surprise. She knelt down to Poohs level. "Hello, could you tell us where we are?" she asked him.
"Why, your in the Hundred Acre Wood." he replied still smiling.
"The Hundred Acre Wood? Where's that?" asked Ron.
"Why, it's right here." Pooh said.
"That's not what I was asking...." Ron said, shaking his head and turning away.
"Wait a second, your Winnie The Pooh!" Hermione gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. "Harry, I think we've been transported into a book! Don't you remember reading the Winnie The Pooh stories as a kid?"
"Ah, Hermione, I lived with the Dursleys." He replied, looking at the bear.
"Oh right. Anyway, umm, has anyone else like us come here today?" she asked them.
"Why yes, Piglet here says he saw a Stranger, a very big Stranger."
"It was h-huge! Almost a hundred feet tall! And it made the ground sh-shake." Piglet said, peering out from behind Tigger.
"Sounds like Hagrid. Where did the Stranger go?"
"Towards R-Rabbits House."
"Where's that?"
"I'll show you! Follow me!" said Tigger, bounding away.
The Trio followed him, leaving Piglet and Pooh behind to have a bit of Honey.
***Picture another page turning***
After a little while they came upon an interesting site. Rabbit was dancing around his yard waving what appeared to be a walking stick.
"And don't come back you thief!" he yelled after an unseen person.
"Hiya Rabbit! Whatcha doing?" Tigger asked, stopping out of reach of the stick.
"I've been robbed Tigger, by a Stranger. They walked right in and pulled up my carrots!"
"Oh Hagrid." muttered Hermione, shaking her head.
"Where did the Stranger go?" asked Harry.
"Over there somewhere and good riddance! If I catch them in my garden again I'll...I'll..." but what Rabbit would do they never found out. A great roar came from the trees just beyond the fence where Rabbit had pointed.
The Trio looked at each other in alarm.
"Better go see what that was!" Harry said and the three of them ran off into the trees.
There they found Hagrid, sitting on a boulder.
"Hagrid!" they said at once.
"Wha? Arry! Wha are ye doin here?" he asked, looking at them from behind his bushy hair.
"We think we touched a Portkey that bought us here. What about you? How did you end up here?"
"I dunno, las' thing I remember was following Grawpy into the Forest, then I was 'ere." he replied. "Hey Arry, did ye see that mad rabbit? Almost speared me with tha stick of 'is, looked familiar dinnit? I remember seein' it round Hogwarts....." he trailed off.
"It did look a bit familiar. But who carries a walking stick around?"
They all looked at each other as it dawned on them. "Lucious Malfoy!"
"But why would his walking stick be here? You don't think he's here do you?"
"No, he fled to another country remember?"
"You don't think......." Hermione started but didn't finish. "Harry we have to get that stick back from Rabbit!"
"What? Why?"
"Because! Come on!" she said, sprinting off, the others following her.
"Rabbit, can I have that walking stick?" she asked him.
"What? This? But it's been in my family for years."
"I could make you a better one." she said, pulling out her wand. She waved it around and produced almost an exact replica, except for the fact that it had carrots carved into it.
"Oh my, how beautiful! Why, yes I suppose you could ave this one." he said handing it over and taking the new one.
"Thank you. Harry we have to get back to Hogwarts."
"But how? I don't know how to make a Portkey to take us back to reality." he said, looking confused.
That stopped Hermione. Even she had no idea how to get back to their World.
"Maybe we could try a reversal spell on the bit of motorbike we touched." suggested Ron, looking from one to the other.
"that might work." Hermione said. "Come one, lets go find it." And so off they went. It didn't take long to find where they'd left it, it was not far from Poohs house.
"Ok, umm....let me think." Hermione said, frowning in concentration. She then waved her wand and cast a spell at the bike piece, it glowed blue.
"Well that looks encouraging." Harry said. "Everyone get ready."
They all gathered around.
"One, Two, Three!" They all touched it at the same time and instantly felt the pulling sensation. Within seconds they landed back in the Forbidden Forest.
"Ron your a genius!" Hermione said, wrapping her arms around him.
"Yeah mate, your a hero."
"It was nothing." Ron replied, his cheeks flushing red.
"Ok, we have to go to Professor McGonagall." Hermione said, letting go of Ron and leading the way.
Once outside of the Forest they bid Hagrid goodbye and continued up to the castle at breakneck speed, Hermiones urgency making them hurry even though they didn't know why. They raced through the castle til they got to the repaired stone gargoyle that guarded the entrance to the Headmistresses office. Instead of needing a password the gargoyles just moved aside and the Trio clambered onto the moving stairs. Knocking on the door they heard someone call "Enter".
"Sorry to disturb you Professor but I have a question about Portkeys." Hermione said, walking up the the desk.
"Really Miss Granger, and what might that be?" McGonagall asked looking up at them.
"Can someone make a Portkey go into, say, a book?" she asked, lokoing apprehensive.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because we just came from a Muggle book called Winnie the Pooh and in there we found this." she said, laying the walking stick on the desk.
"This is Lucius Malfoys'." she said, picking itup and examining it.
"We know, and we think he might have planted it somewhere that no-one would ever look."
"First I've heard of it." Ron mumbled to Harry who was looking as equally confused.
Professor McGonagall pulled at the wand concealed inside the walking stick. It came out easily, as did something else. A vial of blood. "How very odd." she said holding it up to the light. "It can't be anything good if it's hidden away." she said, throwing the vial into the fireplace. Upon impact it exploded and an unearthly scream filled the room. They all froze as the fire turned from red to black, odd shapes twisting in the smoke that billowed up. "Oh my!" The scream faded as the fire turned back into it's proper colour. All four of them looked at one another. Each knowing they had just witnessed the destruction of another piece of Voldemort.
"Well. Thank you Miss Granger, Mr Weasley and Mr Potter. I think I'll have a closer look at this walking stick. You may go, but tell no-one of what you've just seen." she said sternly. They nodded and walked out.
"Well Hermione, how did you know it was soemthing evil?" Harry asked.
"Well the fact that it was in a Muggle book made my suspicious and the fact that it belonged to a Death Eater made me think it might be more sinister then I'd first thought so the best option was to get it back here." she replied "But now I wonder if there's other things out there of his that we don't know about."
"You mean more ways for Voldemort to come back?" Harry asked.
"Yeah."
"Nah, he may have done some pretty weird stuff to become immortal but I don't think there's that many ways to be re-born." Ron said. "Anyway, I'm hungry, how about we go get something to eat?"
The others agreed and pushed all thoughts of Lord Voldemort returning out of their minds.
***Meanwhile up in Professor McGonagalls' Office.***
"Those pesky kids will stop at nothing to keep him from coming back, but even they couldn't guess all his plans. Everything he went through to stay alive. Everything he did to ensure his return. He will rise again. I will make sure of it."
Getting up from the desk Professor McGonagall put the walking stick in a safe place, determined no-one would find his last remaining hope of coming back.
