Hey everybody!

I was just wondering what you thought about this question.

What color would your Polyjuice Potion be? After someone put something of you into it, what color would it be?

Try to be specific, because there are only so many plain colors!

I will answer this one, too. I think mine would turn sapphire blue. That is my birthstone and I'm just usually a 'blue' kind of person (not the sad blue, though wink.gif happy.gif )

Okay, so one more thing! If you'll remember in CoS, Harry and Ron used the Polyjuice Potion, and the colors for Crabbe and Goyle were 'the khaki color of a booger' and 'a dark, murky brown'.

Have fun!!! biggrin.gif Hope you like this!
DeSs
Great topic!
I think mine could be a kind of pink, because I love love itself, or maybe orange, because it's the colour I like the most and I could be very energetic when I'm in my good mods. Or, perhaps, a kind of sadder colour, because I'm quite melancholic, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, I remember their colours ... and what about Harry's? Golden! That really surprised me, in a great way. He was golden, really. I wonder which colours will be Ron and Hermione?
raisiny
I think mine would be in orange color. It's just that I think, orange is very blithe and unique. Well, I found out that orange color denotes energy and warmth. But it has a bit less intensity or aggression than red, calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow. I think it kind of describes me smile.gif And in other site I found out that people who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere, well that's true if you are talking about me smile.gif So I think mine would be orange wink.gif

Well, I kind of started to think about what DeSs told about in what color Ron's and Hermione's would be, so... I studied a bit of all simple colors, so now I think that Hermione's color could be blue. Because blue color, especially darker blue, is associated with intelligence, stability, unity, and conservatism, I think it is kind a accurate description about Hermione : ) Blue can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly, sounds like a bit of Hermione to me (:
Well, for Ron it was kind a hard biggrin.gif don't know, I just thought that he have a bit from all colors =) But I think Ron's color could be yellow . On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy (what he always brought up in trio)but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice. Well, I don't think that Ron is a coward(he was sorted in Gryffindor, wasn't he?), but he is shy and he had problems with asking Hermione to the Yule Ball biggrin.gif I found out that yellow can simulate support and bit of irresponsibility..(; Well, but Ron will always remind me of orange, because of his gorgeous hair ;D

... "Yellow and blue are a high contrast, eye-popping combination" I think together they two are wink.gif
forsaken_wolfess
I'd probably be a blue-purple color. Periwinkle, I think it's called. I'm not really a bright (bright like happy, not smart.) or hyper person, suggested by, I guess, a bright yellow or red. But I'm also not overly mopey, like a grey would be. And I'm not the spiraling hole of doom you'd expect from black. I'm kind of smart and intellectual, like someone said blue symbolized. It's a nice color, but kind of ordinary and not overly fond of drawing attention to itself. Like me.
Honeybee
I think the color of my polyjuice potion would be more of a crimson color. The color crimson which is not quite a pure red, this shade carries strong symbolism for both power and danger, but also happiness and celebration.
The touch of cool blue in this shade of red tones it down slightly giving it a slightly more friendly feel.
I think that this definitely describes me because, I think the mix of both power and danger is the strong-opinionated side of me. Although, if you know me well enough you know that I am a very friendly person, who loves to joke around, which is a mix of the happiness, celebration, and friendly aspect of crimson.
sadie_urlady523
I think mine would be emerald (my birthstone), sapphire blue, or a sun-shiny yellow, because I am always (98% of the time) happy-go-lucky and fun to be around. I'd also be blue, because I love relaxing, and it's my favorite color! smile.gif
nicky potter
Hmm interesting thought... Well I think that mine would be like one of the bright colors. Not black or brown or gray. Maybe like a peridot [my birthstone] jade, neon blue. I'm really attracted to that color. & I guess that's it. To be honest if it's anything but what I mention then I'd be suprised happy.gif
Harry James Potter
Mine would definitely be saphire-blue. it is my birthstone as well as my favorite color. I haven't encountered anything blue that I don't like....and hopefully....my future career will be a marinebiologist...which deals with the blue oceans so I would say mine would have to be blue.
bookworm_1918
Hey guys! biggrin.gif

I like what somebody said about the colors they thought depicted Ron and Hermione. I think Hermione fits well with blue, like me, and Ron fits well with a yellow-orange type of color. Then again, everyone interprets what a color shows differently.

I just got another thought for another color that would describe me...PINK! I like the color and pink seems like it could be cheery and sometimes hyper, and maybe sometimes relaxing, depending on the shade. It could be crazy (hot pink) or relaxed (light pink)...and I'm sometimes hyper and crazy and I can be very relaxed! tongue.gif
LeoTheLionness1986
Well I think it would prolly depend on my mood. Prolly something like this...
Happy - Bright Sun Yellow
Sad - Medium Blue
Mad - Dark Blue
Angry - Dark Red
Hyper - Bright Hot Pink.

I don't know if polyjuice potion acts as a mood ring, but thats what I think would happen. LOL!
bookworm_1918
That would be cool. The color depending on your mood. I have a mood necklace. If it were like that, I think mine might be something like this:

Blue: calm and relaxed
Red: ANGRY!
Orange: nervous
Yellow/Hot Pink: Crazy 'n' Hyper!
Green: Unsettled

Where did u get a mood necklace? I love mood rings but none of them ever fit my fat fingers. And thats the only mood things I've ever seen. A mood necklace would be totally kool!!!
Crazedd Redneckk
Ok well I think mine would be like a rubyish red or a dark green. I am very unsettled at times so I think that Green would be the color of mine. I just get really paranoid that I will lose something and then get in trouble! Because I hate getting in trouble!!

Hermione17
My polyjuice potion would be Blue. Saphire blue actually. It's also my birthstone. I just LOVE blue! I've read that blue means: Peaceful, tranquil, calming effects, loyalty, people are more productive in blue rooms, inspiration, sincerity, youth, spirituality, truth, peace. Blue is the coolest color - the color of the sky, ocean, sleep, twilight. The ancient Egyptians used lapis lazuli to represent heaven. Blue symbolizes the Virgin Mary<~~ ( and I'm catholic so this is cool!!!) Blue gemstones to wear to feel calm are blue sapphire and blue topaz.I know tons of people that love blue. So I guess I move with the crowd on this one LOL
bookworm_1918
Yeah, Hermione17! Sapphire is my birthstone. High-five! September 13 (Actually, I was born on Friday the 13th! tongue.gif My lucky day!)

I think blue is a color that can mean so many different things depending on the shade and what Hermione17 said she read that it meant.
Hermione17
Bookworm..September 27th here. Wow Friday the 13th...that would freak me out LOL. That's awesome though! Yah blue does mean so many different things...I guess it depends what mood your in and the shade. But what an awesome color!! LOL
winky456
Uh... I really wouldn't mind being more of a grayish charcoal black with may be little flecks of sunshiny yellow because With my friends I'm always happy, perky, even a little hyper but at home with my family, i transform into emo kid. Sry about smiley couldn't figure out how to turn if off.
bookworm_1918
Yeah, your attitude at home is different from how you act with your friends... biggrin.gif

Grayish charcoal black witha swirl of sunshiny yellow..that's interesting, winky456. It's hard to put two different attitudes in one color...hm..
HarryPotterNut
My polyjuice potion would probably be a mixture of red, and blue. They wouldn't be mixed together, it would sort of be like a half and half. (That's because I'm the biggest Jayhawk fan in the world!)
Ginevra Molly Weasley
Well, I'm pretty sure that there would be a lot of red and black in mine, because I really scare some people at times because I can say sort of dark and creepy things. Also because I can think of an unnatural amount of ways to kill someone and get rid of their body without being a suspect for their murder and disapperance...

There would be some yellow in there too, strangely enough. I am usually a happy person, whether people can tell or not.

I guess there would be some gray in there too. I don't really know why. It just sort of suits me at times...

I have too many color emotions...
Nasuada
Hmmm, interesting thought. Well, my birthstone is Ruby and red is my favorite color, so it would probably be a bright red color. I don't think of red as being an angry color. More of an excited bright color. There might be a little orange mixed in cause that's another favorite color of mine. biggrin.gif
HJP/HJG_TrueLove
Well my birthstone is the emerald but my favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I would guess mine would be a light blue color. I can't decide why though it is just me throwing out a color. As long as mine isn't like Crabbe or Goyle's color (that would be insulting ha ha).
bookworm_1918
That's really interesting, Ginevra Molly Weasley...numerous ways to kill someone and hide their body without being suspected? laugh.gif

Most people (I am), and you, Nasuada are basing it on birthstone colors or favorite colors. And (like me and Nasuada) our birthstone colors and our favorite colors are the same...weird.. tongue.gif
ChikkyD
I think my Polyjuice Potion would be a kind of turquoise (sp?) bluey-greeny colour.
I'm one of those people who is usually laid back, calm, easy-going. Pretty much green and blue traits biggrin.gif
Rachelle-is-a-Ravenclaw
a metallic hue of black and blue, wow that rhymes tongue.gif , i think, because i'm calm and laid back, but i'm a mystery.

Rach

bookworm_1918
A metallic hue of black and blue? That's awesome, Rachelle! laugh.gif That would make sense, too...

What do you guys think that Ron and Hermione's Polyjuice Potion would be?
Rachelle-is-a-Ravenclaw
thank you bookwork_1918.

hmmm i think ron's would be a yellowish sort of colour, as he is slighty cowardly (only a tinsy bit) but bold dashes of red for the bravery that's inside himself, for hermione, i think a placid pale blue, with silver, seems smart and sophisticated and represents her persona i think

Rach

bookworm_1918
I like that, Rachelle. It seems to fit them very well... biggrin.gif
Rachelle-is-a-Ravenclaw
thanks biggrin.gif

i don't know if this is getting slightly off topic but who has a suggestion for Snape's polyjuice potion?
uzzzkata
Snape's.Hmmm... I think it would be black with silver grains or brightly shimmering sand in it.
Black because he's pretty much an enigma-at least his motives and feelings are. Black also means darkness as well, and his life was never happy or bright; full of dark, bad things.
The silvery grains would be his clear nobility and true feelings. Silver is also pale, which somehow suits his being I think.

Wow, I get to describe Snape's and my own Polyjuice Potion in te same post!!! rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

I don't know, mine could be greyish-blue, maybe a steely shade of it. I'm calm, I like to think reasonably and I like deep things (so there would be some deep blue stains too).
Rachelle-is-a-Ravenclaw
that sounds like a perfect description me to me actually and your own sounds great too uzzzkata, sorry for the interuption guys, carry on biggrin.gif

What color would your Polyjuice Potion be? After someone put something of you into it, what color would it be?

Hmm, I think it would be a very pale, almost opalescent lavender. Purple in all its shades is my favorite color, anyway, and I've always associated it with being a very silly, giggly, happy, serene, knowledgeable person...which is what I think I am, at least deep down! tongue.gif Lavender would just be beautiful in my opinion. happy.gif
bookworm_1918
I like your Snape colors. It makes sense. The black needs to be there...but the silver for nobility..it makes sense to what his 'personality' is tongue.gif

If there could only be on color, though, for Snape, I"d have to pick gray. IT's not black, but a little lighter than that, which I think kind of represents what Snape is.
gryffindorgirlie
I think I'd turn out to be a vanilla kinda color. Or maybe off white. I wouldn't see myself as a bold colour particularly. Also, off white is quite calming and I like to think I'm calm in a horrible situation...
WEASLETTE...GINNY POTTER
Wow! this is something..

Ok..hmm i'd like it to be blue..as i'm a friendly person..socialise very easily.and blue being a symbol of friendship, loyalty would suit me i guess..
but i think..it could also be green..as much as i'm friendly..i indulge in self assertion..i'm possesive and a little self-centered..
but my final answer is..orange..yes that would be it..
I'm warm and loving..love people, i'm surrounded by friends..i tend to help people and appreciate them...i make a nice first impression..
so i guess my polyjuice potion would be orange in color..

if any of you like orange flavour..well try me! wink.gif

I'd like to have Gryffindorgirlie's polyjuice potion..if you're really that calm.. i could really do with some. I need to meditate a lot to control myself! boy it takes a lot of energy off me!
snapestinks**winkwink**
My polyjuice potion would be orange. Orange is red and yellow put together. I have a hot temper, but I am usually happy. It could also be green. I am very earthy person, and green is a pretty cheerful color. On the other hand I love getting muddy, so it might be brown. WEll, I'll just say that my polyjuice wouyld be rainbow.
LeoTheLionness1986
Mine would probably be every color pink there is imaginable, because of course pink is my favorite color. But I think there would be some black in there because black goes really well with pink. And I also think there would be a Peridot color, which in case no one knoes is a green color, I think that would be there becasue that is my birth stone. I really doubt they would be all mixed together but more like swirls! LOL

After the Burial
I would expect mine to change with the light. I think my colors would drift from a deep navy blue or dark green. Whatever color I would be, I am certain it would be a deep and earthy tone.
angelinanerd
My would probably turn a garnet red...and yes, garnet is my birth stone. It's a very earthy yet fiery colour and still kind of mysterious.

And I just realised it would look like blood. Euuurgghhh ohmy.gif
Grymmditch
I have no idea. Would it be the color of my birthstone? I don't think PP works that way. I don't think it looks at your favorite color either, but it looks at the kind of you person you are and decides based on that.
If I had to guess, mine would probably be pearlescent or opalescent, maybe with a hint of multicolor, as I'm kinda complex, or maybe bipolar.. tripolar? lol
I don't think I'm worthy of the gold color that Harry's was, nor would mine be muddy, brown, or booger color/consistency either like Crabbe or Goyle.. I hope!

Another question is - how would yours taste?
The taste of the Slytherins made Harry, Ron, and Hermione all want to puke their guts out - whereas I recall somebody saying Harry's (in DH) actually tasted pretty good.

So apparently, polyjuice potion is not based on just color, but consistency and taste as well.

Given that it mimics or indicates the characteristics of a person in such numerous ways, polyjuice potion could be used as simple character test in the wizarding world, perhaps for job applications, background investigations, credit reports, that sort of thing. I wonder if they'd allow it's results to be used in a court of wizarding law?
Craz4potter
I think mine would be lavendar people because it is my favorite color. Lavendar is also a calming fragrance and I'm a laid back easy-going person.
ProfessorQ
I think that mine would be a kind of see-through dark blue...

Depth but obvious?

Sister to the Dark Lord
Who, me? I honestly think that I'm bipolar, or, as Grymmditch called it, tripolar.

I would most likely be rainbow-coloured, with a dominating white. White because I am blissfully unaware of my surroundings, like I'm cloaked in white that I can never see though. Also white for purity, peacefullness, harmony, and all that jazz. I'm quite the pacifist.

The rest of the colours show my nastly little habit of changing my mind, forgetfullness, shyness when I'm not on the Internet, and the bipolar-ness that I mentioned beforehand.

And that is what I think my Polyjuice Potion colour would be.
CoolieOatl
I'd probably be a light lavenderish purple.Lavender is my favorite color it i'd be pretty awesome. biggrin.gif
Aira
I imagine mine to be a sorta translusent green, not murky or anything but dark, forest green.
p.s. this would make an awesome sorting quiz
ravensblood
My polyjuice potion would be red. Red is the color of envy and everyone would want to be me. I guess this is why I was sorted into the Slytherin House. Anyway, Polyjuice Potion wouldn't do anyone any good because noone can duplicate the orginal.
harryjpotter
Good question. My polyjuice potion would probably be a deep red or gold. Maybe red with sparkly bits of gold happy.gif
On that note, I wonder what would happen if a person took some of their own polyjuice potion. I know they wouldn't need to but it's interesting all the same.
LadyMalfoy
I think my Polyjuice potion would be either blue or green because I'm a very calm person and those colors seem very calm to me.
Snapefan21
I think my colour would be dark red. I don't know why, it just seems to suit me...I think.

QUOTE
On that note, I wonder what would happen if a person took some of their own polyjuice potion.

They would probably screw themselves up, like when Hermione took the cat polyjuice potion. I wonder what colour that potion was...
acidpop
Oh this is a fun topic! Hmm, I think my polyjuice poition would be a very light silverish color and very sparkly. I don't really think any one color suits me but I absolutely LOVE things that sparkle and shine. Plus, I'm a very energetic person and I have some sparkle myself. :p

For some reason I imagine Hermione's polyjuice potion being a light, gently shimmering blue. Not sure why I just feel like it suits her. I think it makes sense for her potion to be blue because her patronus is an otter. It is right? I'm going with it being an otter because that seems right.

Ron? Bleh. That's difficult. I don't really know. I'm going to go with a deep red. Not because of his hair! He just has a lot of inner turmoil in some ways when it comes to competing with his brothers and Harry. Not to mention Gryfinndor seems to run pretty deep through his family's veins. :)
