Severus read the letter from Lily, and an actual smile rested upon his pale face. He read and read the letter, until he realized that it was one A.M. he sighed and retreated to his small bedroom alone.


.:.The next morning.:.


Severus awoke with the same grin on his face. He got off of his bed and took a quick shower, intent on replying to her letter. As soon as he was dressed, he scrambled to some parchment and a quill. He sat down and began to write.


Dearest Lily,

I too haven't stopped thinking of you since out last meeting. I apologize again for everything. Lily, you know how much I love you. Are you sure you should risk this for me? We both know that Potter will go crazy if he knew we were going to meet. But if you don't care, then yes, we must meet.

It was clear from Lily's expression that she was estatic. She thought about James and suddenly became defiant. She could do what she wanted, no matter what he said or did. She heared him coming, and hid the letter. She didn't want him to know yet, because he might frce her to stay away from Severus.

"Lily? Where are you?" a curious James asked from outside of the baby's future room. "I'm in here, sweety," she said quietly. She smiled at him when he entered the room. "Now, what are you doing in here?" James asked, looking at her bulging stomach. He smiled and looked back at Lily. "Oh, just showing Harry his room. One kick means he likes it," she said with a smile. James put his hand on her stomach, and felt a gentle kick."Ouch!" wailed Lily, but she smiled."I shouldn't have said kick," she said quietly.

Lily woke up after James had fallen asleep. She raced to Harry's room and grabbed the letter. After she read it again, she started to write...
