A sudden bang awoke the sound sleeping Potters. Lilly and James awoke with a start to hear 1 year old Harry crying.
“James, I better go see what’s wrong with Harry. He probably bumped his head on his crib again.” Then a voice sounded through the whole house. Lilly then ran up to Harry’s room to check on her only son. She found him to be sobbing in his crib. He had slammed his head against the crib. Lilly brought her baby in to her arms.
“Sweetie, it’s okay. It’ll be okay. Shhhhh, Shhhh.” Lilly then took Harry back to her and James’ bedroom.
Then, a second bang shattered the house.
“That wasn’t Harry, Lilly.” James said nervously.
“Potters. You’re early death awaits. The Godparent of you’re son has betrayed you’re location to me. Come willingly, or I will destroy everything you have loved.” It was Lord Voldemort. The most powerful dark wizard of all time.
“Oh, no James, Harry!” Lilly exclaimed.
“Lilly, listen to me. We’ll go to him. I’ll fight him off, while you take Harry and go. If one of us dies, I love you sweetie.”
“I’m Wating!” Came Voldemort’s voice again.
“Okay.” James said. “Let’s go. Take Harry, and go. I’ll hold him off”
“Okay. Bye honey. I love you. You’re so brave.” Lilly said with a shuddering voice. Then they walked out of the bedroom.
“Ahhh, you have come willingly. That values bravery. But it doesn’t matter. I’m still going to kill you all.” Voldemort said.
“But first, you’re going to have to come through me!” James said. “Lilly, take Harry and go!” James shouted, and turned to look Lilly.
“Avada Kedavra” Voldemort cried. And James Potter fell to the ground like a marionette with its strings cut.
“Now for you child.” Voldemort said defiantly.
“No, Please, don’t kill Harry, I beg you!” Lilly cried.
“Stand aside silly girl” Voldemort said angrily.
“Please don’t kill Harry, take me instead!” Lilly said in anguish.
“Avada Kedavra !” Voldemort yelled.
And Lilly Potter found the same fate as her husband that one Halloween night. Harry Potter however was not killed. And Voldemort was vanquished for fourteen years until…
