Oh the pictures from the Inn look so romantic! And they look so cold!!! *brr* I love the brick that says "Edward Cullen Bella Swan Forever" So sweet! wub.gif

I probably won't view the trailer, or tune into Entertainment Tonight. I'm trying to stay away from all that! My only weakness is pictures.

I love that photo shoot from Entertainment Weekly! There was just something about it, and I think it was the concept of the damsel in distress and Rob saving her...being the hero!

Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?

Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I think the hype will continue to grow with each film that is released! At least, I hope that is what happens. I think the fans will stick with it to the end!

Oh and I forgot! Welcome Padfoot4ever! *waves*
Nasuada
Wow! I'm overwhelmed by Twilight amazingness! biggrin.gif Oh an welcome Padfoot4ever! Great to have you join us!

Holy cow! I watched the 15 second preview thing on youtube and oh goodness! I had a total 'fangirl' moment too, Anne. happy.gif I was freaking out! My stomach was all fluttery and I could have screamed! It was so awesome! I can't wait to see the full trailer!!

And all the pictures were awesome! There are so many it's almost overwhelming! All it does is make me want to see the movie even more. The only problem is..........I'm not even sure if I'll be able to see the movie. My parents don't like having me go to theaters by myself, and they're definitely not going to see it and I don't have anyone else to go with. The two Twilight fans I know live hours away from me. I have to find someone to go with! It stinks going to movies by yourself anyway, but seriously! I need to see it! I must find someone! *Flips through phone book*

Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?

I personally think it's going to go on for a bit longer. Probably for a while after the film is released and then start to dwindle out. In a way the town must be happy with all the extra business, but I'm sure it must be annoying having so many crazy fans around all the time. happy.gif I hope for the people that live there that it calms down.

Must fly!

Oh. My. God.

I've died. I've honestly died.

Ok, after managing to revive myself enough tot ype, thanks so much Nicky for showing the preview of the new trailer. I squeed so much, i practically fell off the couch i was sitting on. When Edward's "There's something i'd like to try", i believe i went "EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" rolleyes.gif

So many pictures. I have to say, my favourite would have to be this one of them at the prom. Honestly, their expressions are perfect.

Okay I've decided I am not watching the 15 minute clip. Congratulate me, this is a first.

Shot! Anyone who decides not to watch it deserves a congradulations, so ... yeah, shot. biggrin.gif

Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?

Considering how popular Twilight is ... i'd say it can only get bigger.

Also, as for Bella becoming a vampire ... i was generally happy that it finally happened, but the cirsumstances and how Bella became "Super-Vampire" with her self-control, well, i wasn't squeeing about that. But i was happy she finally did become a vampire.

I was just hoping for the whole working up to it "Are you ready?" sort of scene. I was hoping that that would be the scene that the last Quote of the Day came from ("Should i be afraid?" "Terrified.").

Also, i have a Twilight moment to share. My mum has been meaning to read Twilight ever since i discovered it, but she's never had the time until now. She just goes "Right, give me Twilight, and i'll read it." So i give it to her ... and she finishes it within two days.

I was shocked, so i gave her New Moon last night. We all went to bed as usual, but i was thirsty, so i got up to go get a drink. I get the fright of my life to see my mother sitting on the floor outside her bedroom, reading New Moo at One in the morning!

Her excuse "Oh, i only wanted to read the first chapter ..."

Naturally, the first chapter ends with the Cullens all wanting a snap out of Bella, so obviously, mum was probably reading into the night. I wouldn't be suprised. Also, she accidentally called someone "Miss Carlisle". rolleyes.gif

Nasuada, i hope you find someone to go with. Me and my friends are going as a huge group-about ... eight of us all sitting in the theatre and going "OMIGOD!!!". It's going to be awesome, guys!!!

And welcome Padfoot4ever! May you have fun times here with the obssessive Twilight fanatics! I promise we don't bite (though i'm sure many of us wish that there was someone who did )(CoughEdwardCough). laugh.gif

Few, i think that's everything covered. Go Twilight! happy.gif
Witherwings
Oh my god. OH MYYYY.

I just saw the trailer.

Yep. I did.

And I recorded it. happy.gif

I also managed to find it on YouTube, right here. it's different than the one I saw, but it's probably because it's the full one.

Wow, I am amazed. Wow. WOW. The music seems a bit strange and off, but other than that, WOH. I noticed there are alot of lines straight from the book, haha. I love that. I love it. And there's some kissing in that trailer. There really is. Wow.

Just wait till I get it in HD, on the Internet too. I'll be watching it like fifteen times a day. smile.gif

Edit: I think I've watched it more than five times in the last two hours. rolleyes.gif It is AMAZING.

But has anyone noticed how Rob's accent slips sometimes? tongue.gif
Honeybee
OMG..... I am like shocking.gif shocking.gif !!! WOW. That trailer was f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s!! Thank you Witherwings for posting it. I am .... uh... *drooling now* I think I will have to go watch it again... and again. The kiss... WOW!

And Moon, I love that picture of them at the prom. How romantic.

I'm off to watch the trailer.

Holy Cow! blink.gif shocking.gif Oh my gosh! That was like, amazing! Nat, thank you! The whole time my jaw was hanging down and I really don't think I was breathing. *Mouth still hanging open* Wow! The kiss.........holy cow............oh gosh.......... shocking.gif *Thump* I'm sorry, I just fell out of my chair. My favorite part was when he said, "Say it out loud." Oh my gosh Edward looked amazing! blink.gif Oh gosh, I'm totally in the Twilight Zone. Thank you thank you thank you, Nat! I going to go watch it again, right now. Then I'm going to call my friend who lives in NJ and tell her to get online now. If only she lived near me, then I could go see it with her. Oh my gosh! That was so incredible!

That picture is amazing, Moon(I luv you Luna). They look great! And I agree, Nat. I was excited to hear lines from the book too! That was awesome.

I'm going to go watch it again!

Well, to be completely honest, Twilight is not what everyone is cracking it up to be, and after talking to a few avid fans they are now realising that they scouted over the problems with Twilight.

I decided to read the book because I make fanvideos, and so I was going to watch the film just to get the clips and an idea on how to use them in videos before turning them AU. Plus, I hate those people who will watch a film that's based on a book but not read the book itself. I feel that you can't be a proper fan until you have; the film often misses out key bits of the book and changes around the plotline, and I really don't want to become someone I hate and/or a hypocrite.

So, I read the book.
And you know what?

The writing is terrible. Utterly and shamelessly terrible.
The plot, however, is really, really good and it's the one and only thing keeping me going throughout the books, the characters do give you a sense as if you know them, which is always great in a writer, but the reason i've had to keep stopping and putting the books down is because I can't read a whole chapter due to the writing.

That's just my piece on the whole Twilight 'saga'.
hot-for-harry
Thank you, thank you, thank you! The only complaint I have about it was the music, but I'm pretty sure I can get over that!

The kiss was... beyond words. They were so into it. It's so cute when she drops the apple, and he kicks it up and catches it. And then at the end... how he's like, "My life is you now!". OME! Wow! I think I've made everyone in the house watch it so far. She was gorgeous all the way through, and he was...incredible! ohmy.gif It was so freakin amazing.

Did anybody see what they had on Entertainment Tonight recently? It was a much shorter and condensed version of the long one. How did you get that Nat? I feel like I owe you soooo much right now!

And Fairy, I don't agree with you, but I guess everyone has their own opinion, but if you don't mind telling exactly what about the writing is so terrible, I would greatly appreciate it!
Padfoot4Ever
Thank you all for the welcomes! biggrin.gif

But anyways, Oooh I was getting mad because I can't load the official Twilight webpage, but Thank You! Witherwings for the youtube video. I went insane. I do agree that the music seems off but I don't care one bit! That trailer blew me away. Now I'm even more excited for the movie and Nov. 21st seems ages away! That kiss surely did look amazing, haha, and Oh my..Rob is such a good actor and he looks amazing as Edward. Ha! Definitely going to be watching that one over and over for awhile!

Oh..and I have to say I love that Edward says "What if I'm not the hero? What if I'm the bad guy" because that is like my absolute favorite line for some reason! biggrin.gif

Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?
I'm not sure, but I think it could hype up even more. I mean right now people are comparing it to Harry Potter in ways, and with every Potter movie people get hyped up..I guess I think people will be hyped up for awhile, but it will die down a bit until its close to the nest movie..but I think it will continue to be a big deal, for the most part.

Fairy, I can respect what you're saying as everyone has their own preference and opinion, but I don't agree. I'm not exactly sure how you mean by, the writing was horrible. I really liked Stephanie Myers style of writing. I have to say, the only book I completely and utterly loved in the series was Twilight. New Moon and Eclipse were good, but not great. And I hated everything about Breaking Dawn. But other than that, I love the first book. I feel the same exact way about not liking when someone is the fan of a movie, but hasn't read the book. I find that really annoying. But if you could maybe explain more of what you meant about the writing being horrible that would be totally awesome! happy.gif

Chelsea

P.S. I just watched the trailer about three more times!! Yeah the music was a bit odd, but I can see past that.

Well, for one, there were too many full stops! I've started to read a great book before now, by one of my favourite author's and I had to stop reading it due to the amount of full stops.

It completely ruins the flow if you have to mind-break every few seconds and I can't really get into what's happening very well.

Furthermore, I felt there were several grammatical errors that should have been addressed (now, I haven't read the book in a while and I can't remember quite the places, though I shall go through at some point) but I do remember reading it and having to mentally correct it.

It also feels as though she put in sentences just to fill pages, and this seemed to happen way too much.

I understand a lot of people love the book, and that's fair enough because the plot is great, and it's alright if you think it's good, I mean, we're all different! I just can't stand her writing!

The trailers were good, I just thought there were too many fades, it hurt my eyes tongue.gif

If you are referring to the numerous grammar mistakes that are throughout all of the books, then I agree to an extent. The only difference being is that I can look past all of the mistakes and just look at the story and WOW!! In that respect, Stephenie is an amazing writer. I can get sooo wrapped up in the books that I sometimes feel like I am there seeing it all. Anyone who can get millions of people to become this utterly addicted has a talent. Go Stephenie!!
nicky potter
Well I got light headed and began to hyperventilate while watching the trailer. I called my friends about 98766 times before they answered and I sent them link. AH! IT WAS AMAZING! xDDD I absolutely loved it. I'm like the most satisified Twilight fan right now, I don't know about the rest of you.

But while watching the video a ceartain comment caught my eye. As I was reading past the comments of the crazy fanatics one stood out and read

QUOTE
ughhh!
they look good for the parts!
but they are really bad actors! grrrr
im so mad!
this is going to ruin the book for me probably!

Now I'd like to ask you all; After watching the trailer you saw more of them in action acting wise. Are you satisfied with the way it turned out? Do you see the rest of the movie as good? Or do you agree that they acted so blah? If so who or what in particular seemed that way?

Ok, you said it for me, Honeybee. Although, I didn't notice too too many grammar mistakes, I think I was just too absorbed to notice. tongue.gif

I really enjoyed the trailer, other than the music. To further elaborate, please view my post directly after I watched it. laugh.gif I do not agree with that comment. I think their acting was really great! I was really pleased with how the trailer was. There were lines in it from the book which made me bounce out of my seat! I think they seem great, acting skills wise. I won't start getting picky by saying they didn't look exactly how I pictured them, but their acting seemed really good to me! I haven't seen the movie yet, though, so I might change my mind later on, but I really don't think so. Wow, you do have a talent. I've gotten a total of............*Counting* ........zero to read it. laugh.gif But I haven't really tried either. There's nobody for me to really tell.

haha You sure do! I've gotten my sister into them and a friend has started reading it because she saw my book sitting out one day when she was here. She's look.."hmm, can I borrow that?" I feel proud. smile.gif

Are you satisfied with the way it turned out? Do you see the rest of the movie as good? Or do you agree that they acted so blah? If so who or what in particular seemed that way?

I, personally, am extremely satisfied. I think that trailer took away my few worries. I have never really seen Kristen Stewart in anything except In the Land of Woman (that was only a few days ago) But before that I wasn't even sure how good of an actress she was. But now I am satisfied and I think the cast is absolutely wonderful. The acting seems to be superb. biggrin.gif I think Kristen and Rob had the chemistry too. They really looked in love in that kissing scene. But yes, I am happy! I think the movie will be great!
Nasuada
My sisters are too young to read them. Cause there are a few things in them that aren't appropriate for 12 and 13 year-olds. They're both to young. And besides, my one sister hates romance right now. I've told my mom all about the books too and she agrees. My sisters aren't really into vampires either, so............ Maybe I'll find someone to convince to read them soon. I don't know. happy.gif Actually, I did tell my cousin to read them and she said she's thinking about it, so if that sort of counts, them I'm psyched.

Oh gosh I still can't get over how awesome the preview was! laugh.gif

In that Twilight spirit! I sign off for the night! happy.gif

...

Ok, i think i'm good now.

Obviously, i just watched the trailer, and my hands are skaing so much i can hardily type. It was just ... freakin' amazing. Thank you soooo much Wings for posting the link!

I believe i went "EEEEEE!!!" for a million year's before actually watching it. While watching it, i was in a stunned silence. After i was still stunned. Until i squealed "EEEEEEEEE!!!" so loud, i woke up my dog. rolleyes.gif I then yelled "Omigod!!! Kelly, come here! Twilight! EEEE!!!" and my sister comes running and we watched it together.

The kiss was freakin' amazing, when they were in the tree was amazing, everything was freakin' amazing.

I'm going to be a wreck come movie time. This reminds me of a question:

What will your preperations be leading up to watching the Twilight Movie?

Mine will be trying not to hyperventalate. In the movie theatre, it'll be trying not to squeal "EEEEEEEEE!!!" again. In the movie, it'll be trying to stay alive, because i'm sure i'll just keel over from the sure awesometastical-ness.

Are you satisfied with the way it turned out? Do you see the rest of the movie as good? Or do you agree that they acted so blah? If so who or what in particular seemed that way?
I'm sure it'll be awesome. I wasn't sure of the acting when i saw the first trailer, or the chemistry really, but after watching the other trailers and clips and scenes, i'm pretty satisfied. Rob, Kristen and everyone else will rock this movie. laugh.gif

Also, i was thinking of the things i may need to take with me to the movie theatre, and i came up with a few things. So i decided to put them here:

My List of Things I'm Bringing With Me to Watch Twilight:

-Paper bag for hyperventalation. Definately.
-My Asthma inhaler, because i'll probably get out of breath from squealing.
-Possibly my copy of the book.
-My Team Edward Badge.

Feel free to add any more items to the list. happy.gif

Oh dear...I'm having a dilemna now....after reading all your posts about the AWESOME trailer...I'm like fidgeting in my seat saying "Do I watch it? Do I not watch it?!".

........What should I do?!? Like all this talk about a kissing scene and watching them actually act is making me really really want to watch it! But I keep telling myself, no you don't want to ruin any more of the movie for yourself. I do that...I tend to just watch one trailer and maybe some photos and wait for the movie to come out...BUT...you guys are doing a really good job of pushing me into temptation!!!

AHH!!.....what does a girl do!?

EDIT: OME...I just went to another page and someone had the kissing scene on it!!! I saw them kiss....I'm walking further and further down that bad path...my mouse is like a click away....ahh!!!

EDIT AGAIN: Ok, so I did it. I gave in and I watched it! That kiss was awesome! *sighh*....I love the part where she says "I'd rather die than stay away from you"...I LOVE IT!!
nicky potter
Oh my gosh the kissing scene was hot and steamy ;D I loved it and if I could I'd rewind it over and over. I thought they reshot that part perfectly. And I personally am reading the series over again. Well mainly Twilight (: And what am I taking?

I think I might take my copy of Twilight as well to clutch it, and feel the movie and book as if its one. I'm wearing my Team Edward shirt and I'm making Team Edward pants biggrin.gif So I match the night away. And Tanya welcome to the dark i just saw the trailer after I said no side >:] lol just kidding.

Before the movie I want to watch all three trailers again and look at whatever pictures that are out. I just want a last minute glance to how it was before the movie came out. How we depeneded on these pictures and trailers so that when I walk in the theatres I can finally breath and say I made it and it was worth the wait. Its that sense of wow all these months of dieing for the movie and it's finally here.

By the way I have another question.

Now that the movie comes out next month, its just around the corner, looking back on your Twilight adventure road, how has the past several months been like? Now that you look back how was it?

and for those that have read the books and known about them wayyyy before us like if you're a veteran in the Twilight world how has the progression of the book go from zip to big in a matter of years?

Nicky<3
Padfoot4Ever
Well I can't answer either of your questions nicky potter, sadly. I'van for a mone only been a for a month and a half. But I still am freaking out and thinking Nov. 21st is forever away. But you guys are talking about re-reading Twilight and taking it with you to the theater, well I want to re-read it so bad but I borrowed it to someone about two weeks ago and I don't even know if shes started to read it. I think I'm going to cry if I don't get it back soon because I really want to read it again. I read it so fast the first time, and now seeing more of the pictures and trailers, I want to mix that in with the book.. eeek.gif It's making me sad. Haha

Oh and I really, really want a Twilight t-shirt I can wear to the movie..but I don't have the money right now. And I saw some a few weeks ago when I was at the mall and my mom and sister had to drag me away. It was so sad..lol
lupin<3tonks
Haha, yeah Nicky, being bad feels so good! smile.gif No I don't mean any of you guys are bad for watching all the trailers and stuff before the movie. I just mean I'm being bad, because obviously I have NO self-discipline. LoL. I do this with Harry Potter and really any movie I'm really really looking forward to seeing. I want to keep it as new and fresh for myself as possible.

But let me tell you, I couldn't stop myself from watching the trailer! After seeing all the posts in here, I was like thats it, I've got to see what this is all about! I liked it, I loved actually hearing the lines and stuff. And that kiss scene...*fans herself*

I too am going to re-read Twilight. It's my favorite out of all the books, and it will be interesting to relive all those little moments after just seeing them on the screen being acted out. I woke up this morning looking at my bookshelf actually and saying, "Today will be the day I start Twilight" lol.

Now that the movie comes out next month, its just around the corner, looking back on your Twilight adventure road, how has the past several months been like? Now that you look back how was it?

I had just started reading Twilight a week before Breaking Dawn was suppose to come out, so when was that in July??? I loved Twilight, it was a whirlwind and I couldn't put the book down. THe others, however, I had a hard time with. I kept getting mad at mostly Bella and Jacob and would put the book down and come back to it. Breaking Dawn was okay. The problem with it was that I could put it down and come back to it a day or two later. Thats bad isn't it? So the story really didn't keep me on the edge of my seat. But it wasn't bad either. I was soooo glad Jacob finally got over Bella. And now I have this movie to wait for! So its just been an interesting time! I'm glad I got introduced to it because I love the characters and I'm glad I read their story. It was a truly great love story. (Mostly from Edwards side in my opinion).
Seriouslysirius
I finally got round to finishing all the Twilight books and they are fantastic I have to say. I've also just seen the new Twilight trailer which makes me want to see the movie right now. laugh.gif I think my favourite of the books was Breaking Dawn gnerally because of its length but the ending seemed fairly flat... Maybe I was hopeing for a battle but then i'd be complaining to many people I didn't want to die, died. laugh.gif
Yeah as I say can't wait biggrin.gif
Snapefan21
As for it not being appropriate for 12 - 13 year olds, I do agree, but that sad thing is that these books were sort of aimed at that age group. There's even some ten year olds that I know of that are reading it, and that's scary. Breaking Dawn especially is not for them. I don't know what their parents are going to think if they ever read them. unsure.gif
hot-for-harry
I'm actually sort of in that age group, but my dad read the book( awkward, awkward) and my mom knows what is in it. It's not like I'm hiding anything from them! Plus, I think people think our age group is really immature and that we don't understand mature things, but not everybody is like that. I understand how you can say that it isn't appropiate though. I was kind of biting my fingernails hoping the honeymoon wouldn't go into detail, because my parents asked me if there was anything bad in Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse and I said no, and I didn't want it to be like I was lying to them.

Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?

The hype will go on after the film, because people will be wanting Twilight stuff for Christmas. After Christmas, it'll die down until the second movie comes out, or until we hear something new!

Now that the movie comes out next month, its just around the corner, looking back on your Twilight adventure road, how has the past several months been like? Now that you look back how was it?

It's really kind of weird, thinking of how small the Twilight phenomenon was and how we didn't even know that there was going to be a movie! Now, we're getting so much and everything just keeps going at such a fast pace! I think we'll have to wait for it to slow down, before we can see how many true fans there are, and who's just a little excited for movie, and they're acting like they're the number fan. (if you know what I mean) I'm hoping the movie will be Titanic-ish though (not like the ship, I'm talking about the movie)!

Etphonehome, how your friends interview with Cam Gigandet? Did you phone her while she was there? smile.gif
Witherwings
Okay, well so far the movie is looking awesome! I have a really, really good feeling. Kristen and Rob have AMAAZING chemistry! rolleyes.gif I'm in an extreme fangirl state these days.

I was going to wear my Team Edward shirt to the movies, but IT GOT RUINED IN THE WASH. I haven't looked at it since, it's too painful. eeek.gif

As for the age group, it just depends how mature you are. Of course, it's not appropriate for like ten year olds! My little sister pretends she's all obsessed, but I would never let her read Breaking Dawn. To be honest, at my school the stuff considered 'inappropriate' is everywhere, like we have teachers who won't even mention it, others play movies full of it. I think judging according to age is a little unfair sometimes, because hey *breaking news* I'm thirteen, and that stuff doesn't bother me.

Well I guess it does depend on how mature you are. Your age is just a number, it doesn't mean anything. Well it does to some extent, but if you're thirteen and you can handle stuff like this without thinking, "Well Bella did it, so now I need to, too", then you're probably okay.
nicky potter
Do you all think this hype is going to continue after the film is released and just keep growing as the films continue to be made or do you think after the first film the hype is going to die down and kind of just mellow out?

Well like someone mentioned that after the movie comes out there are going to be many christmmas merchandise and new things are coming out. And the movie is still going to be there til December. And I heard from a friend who likes to search Twilight on the internet that they are starting to film in January for New Moon. I mean it's not official word but once Twilight hits theartre and they see numbers they'll probably make it official, which would cause hype and anticipation. But the hype won't die after, it would just be on hold until something else big happens.

And at the moment currently there is no Twilight news "/ Unless you want to consider this news

SMALL BLOOPER: If you go to the 13 second mark in the trailer, when Bella is walking to her car, in the bottom right corner you can see some piece of equipment.

I don't know if this was already answered/asked, but will there be a New Moon movie? Eclipse? Breaking Dawn (which would probably be rated R). I don't think New Moon would make a very good movie, but Eclipse sure would. jerry.gif
nicky potter
Well right now to make the rest of the books into a movie is still in consideration because they want to see first how this movie does. I know that some actors want to and some have already signed up to do the rest of the movies. So there's a good chance that they might end up doing them. It really depends how well Twilight does which we all know it will do amazing (:

New Moon may not be as good because we all hated how Edward was gone for most of the book but you might change your mind when you see the book come to life. That's what I think. Eclipse of course is going to be good. I mean this is when Team Edward and Team Jacob comes to life! biggrin.gif which will be interesting to see. And well right now Breaking Dawn is far off everyone's mind. If it will be filmed it will be around 2015 ; So that's like way off.

I understand how you can say that it isn't appropriate though. I was kind of biting my fingernails hoping the honeymoon wouldn't go into detail, because my parents asked me if there was anything bad in Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse and I said no, and I didn't want it to be like I was lying to them.

Well I guess it does depend on how mature you are. Your age is just a number, it doesn't mean anything. Well it does to some extent, but if you're thirteen and you can handle stuff like this without thinking, "Well Bella did it, so now I need to, too", then you're probably okay.

Well, I hope I didn't offend any fans under 13 by saying I think some material in the books is inappropriate. I'm not saying that anybody under 13 should read the books, it just matters about how you are influenced by what you are reading. Like your maturity level I guess.

You're 13 Nat!? Oh my gosh! I had no idea how old you were. happy.gif I thought you were older actually. And hot-for-harry, the way I think of it, as long as the parents are ok with their kids reading it, that's fine. I'm at the point where my mom said I can read anything I want, (and she's very strict about that sort of thing) as long as I don't get bad ideas about anything I read (and as long as you realize that some of what goes on is wrong and don't get any ideas from it), it's fine. So it depends on the person who's reading. I feel so grown up with being aloud to read what I want. happy.gif Movies, well, that's another story.

I was just thinking, and sorry if this had been asked. I didn't go through every page, but I was just wondering some things:

What is your favorite line of Twilight? Whats the best scene/chapter of the story and why do you like it?
Snapefan21
Yeah, movies are definitely another story. Parents are so strict when it comes to movies, especially movies with that in it. I hope you got what I meant.
Since the honeymoon did go into detail, let's hope, hot-for-harry, that your mom won't ask about it. That would be a bit....awkward. blink.gif . My mom is reading the series, and she is always telling me how controlling Edward is, and to never stay in a relationship where the guy is abusive and controlling. Stuff like that. She never finished Eclipse yet, so Breaking Dawn will be an awkward discussion. Oh well. Bring it on. laugh.gif

That pretty much sums up my reaction to the trailer as well. There's too much...too. many. words... Can't. explain. how. AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC IT WAS!!!! Ahhhh wacko.gif

Phew. Ok. I'm Good.

What is your favorite line of Twilight? Whats the best scene/chapter of the story and why do you like it?

Hmm... There are just so many but, my absolute favorite line would have to be Edward: "You are my life now" . It was such a simple statement, yet there was so much behind it that it just blew me away. The best scene/chapter would have to be the meadow scene, because that's basically where they declare themselves. "And so the line fell in love with the lamb..."

I have to say, I really never wanted this week to end. There was just so much Twilight Goodness!! If you all can believe it, even MORE movie stills have been released. You can find 9 new HQ Edward/Bella images in the gallery at edwardandbella.net .

Lol, Anne i know. It really was too good for words. biggrin.gif

I agree with whoever says that the Age for reading Twilight doesn't really matter, as apposed to how mature you are. My sister's only 13, but appreciates it for the sweetness and the witty comments, as well as the romance (she's also a huge Jacob lover for some reason i can't fathom. She insists she loves vampires more than werewolf's, though). I'm 16, and i love, well, everything, but i love the romance and the love between edward and Bella. My mum's just started reading Twilight, and she's loves it because of the suspense. I'm guessing it depends on what you read it for, whether you can handle it or not. biggrin.gif

Anne, thanks for posting those pictures of the Twilight Guys. They were like ... woh ... laugh.gif

What is your favorite line of Twilight? Whats the best scene/chapter of the story and why do you like it?

To be honest, i can't pick. They're all awesome. But if i was forced ...

I love the early days of Twilight, where they just feel drawn towards each other. I loved how when Bella got sick during Biology and Edward took her to the Sick Bay (moaning and groaning while she was at it. I dunno why she was complaiing, though, i would've loved Edward to take me to the Sick Bay, lol).

I also loooove the meadow scene. biggrin.gif

I love the line from the end of Eclipse "I love you. I want you. Right now."

I also like the line lines:

"But what are the Cold One's?"
"Blood drinkers. Your people call them vampires."

In fact i love that entire conversation when Jacob was telling the Scary Stories. happy.gif

I guess I'll answer my own question..

My favorite line is "What if I'm not the superhero? What if I'm the bad guy?" I don't know why. There's just something about it..But I love a lot more lines too! I agree with Lily_Potter about the meadow scene. I love the "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb" part too! I love so many parts it's really hard to pick. I quite enjoyed the part where Edward saves Bella in the beginning and thats when she first realizes theres something about Edward thats different. I also agree with Moon (I luv you Luna) about the Edward taking Bella to the sick bay. Ooh man I love so many little moments between Edward and Bella. I guess I really love the protectiveness Edward has against Bella.

First off, I was a bit late to the trailer 3 party! This has been a hectic week what with the Little Ashes premiere and everything but I'm back in the Twilight zone... for now!

So, the trailier, love him, hate her. I just can't seem to get a grips with her voice. She's so...so...monotone! Maybe once we see the whole movie it will be different. Saying that though, I loved the trailer, I was having palpatations! Can't wait...

What is your favorite line of Twilight? Whats the best scene/chapter of the story and why do you like it?

I have a few stand out lines. Someone else mentioned the 'What if I'm the bad guy?' line..

Then I like the whole of the Port Angeles chapter, but my favourite is the meadow scene when Edward says ...'I'm the world's best predator aren't I? Everything about me invites you in -my voice, my face, even my smell. And then, 'As if you could outrun me.As if you could fight me off.'

That's when you really know just how dangerous he really is.

All my favourite lines come from Edward.....
lupin<3tonks
What is your favorite line of Twilight? Whats the best scene/chapter of the story and why do you like it?

I just finished reading Midnight Sun! Finally, lol. So I'd have to say for both books my favorite scene would be in the lunch room when they first sit together..."The whole what if I'm not the superhero, what if I am the bad guy??" but my favorite part of the conversation is when she realizes he's dangerous but says, "You're not bad", shaking her head not believing it and he looks at her and says, "You're wrong"

I also love it when they are on the way back from Port Angeles and she confirms he is a vampire and her reaction shocks him! He actually thinks she needs to be put in a mental institution and is already considering talking to Carlisle about it. He is telling himself that he'll come visit her as often as he can and that he'll still look out for her. He's so serious about it.

** I hate that Midnight Sun didn't get to the meadow scene! I would have loved to know his reaction after they kiss! sad.gif Oh well!

I agree..well, before I saw the last trailer thats what I was thinking. But I've seen her in In the Land of Women so Im not as worried. She was alright. And seeing the trailer, she doesn't sound as horrible. I feel she sounds more monotone in the first two trailers, and I was like eeek. But I think they re-played with the sound or something because she sounds more normal now. Haha..Maybe I'm crazy. I probably don't make sense. tongue.gif

Elaine, that was my worry from the begining. But no one here mentioned it, so i figured i must be the only one who heard it! laugh.gif I agree that her voice is kind of flat, but i also agree with you, Padfoot4ever that it was more in the first two trailers. Let's hope it's not bad in the movie.

Also, Padfoot4ever, feel free to call me just Moon. It's a whole lot easier to type. biggrin.gif

Haha, alright Moon. I always write out the whole name, I don't know why. I know I didn't mention it either because I thought it was just me. But the third trailer doesn't make her sound as bad. I was happy when I heard her in that one, cus she sounded so bland before. So I am getting more excited. Haha..

EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT: More Twilight news(:

-First here are pictures to the soon to be Twilight trading cards (: What do you think that they now make cards? What are your thoughts on it?

-Here's one for the UK (: The magazine known as 'Sugar' offering readers a chance to send it questions for Stephenie Meyer ; Take a look. & By the way they call SM the American version of JKR, do you think the same? What do you think about that comparison?

-The L.A Times had a blog where they had a discussion with RobPat about the 2 songs contribution ; Here's the article and if you notice on the top it says a quote from him saying that music is his backup if acting fails. Do you think he can succeed in a music career? Will he fail?

For now that is all (: I'll be back later when more is available.

Trading Cards? As much as I love Twilight, that's just a bit much. There's only so far you can go to advertise book turned movies like this without going overboard. Ouch.
I don't think SM is the American version of JKR, and it's not fair to compare them. They're both good books that have completely different writing styles and I think even after all this time, SM is still portrayed as a JKR wanna be. Which she isn't. sleep.gif
nicky potter
But remember with the comaprison between SM and JKR that they meant here was that JKR is really big with her series in the UK while SM is also very big with her series in the US. Would you agree though that it's a fairly even comaprison?

.. Am I only the only one who really likes Kristen Stewart's voice? Hah.
If you look back on her other movie rolls (Panic Room, Speak, The Messengers, ect) her characters were either rape victims or a girl who got herself into some serious trouble. Her characters call for that very calm voice. As does Bella.
Bella isn't a Jessica, she's more of the reserved, quiet type. Most quiet girls don't have the perky, jumpy voice. I personally believe Kristen's voice is fine for Bella, she reminds me a lot like Bella anyways, her actual personality.

As for comparing SM and JKR, I don't think it's fair either. Though I believe JKR will be more sucessful (I like HP a lot more than Twilight, because the last two books of SM weren't my favorite shutup.gif ), but also JKR had three more books on SM, which is more money to make. Both are very exellent writers, but they do write two entirely different books, so to compare the two isn't very fair.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the trailer was amazing as ever. Even though I do feel like I've already seen the movie. I understand we're all really exicted about the movie coming out, but what about the element of surprise? Of course, I wanted to see a kissing scene, but at the same time the exictment in the movie theatre would have been cool. Because I'm sure no boys will be there (Or maybe if their girlfriends force them tongue.gif ) so, most of us would be *squeeing* in our seats anyways.
lupin<3tonks
HarryPotterIsLife, I know what you mean. Thats what I want when I go to the movies, to see something I haven't seen yet! The element of surprise is the best part! smile.gif

I don't think its fair to compare the two authors either. I see what your saying Nicky, because they both are so big in there respective countries, but I don't think SM comes near JKR in either her writing style or fan base in the books. In my opinion, JKR is and will be a much more historical writer (or well known) than SM.

I agree with Snapefan21 that I think the Trading Cards are a bit much. It just doesn't seem to fit with the storyline or anything. But hey, you know there are people out there that collect memorabila (Sp?) for their favorite books, movies, bands and etc. so I'm sure they will jump all over this!!

I just started re-reading Twilight today. I feel like I'm in Twilight overload right now. All the trailers and pictures. I read Midnight Sun last night and this morning and now I'm reading it from Bella's POV again, and I'm seeing it differently now. I don't know how to explain it...I know I'm not making any sense. But I'm really imagining Rob and Kristen now as I read each scene. I love how Bella is portrayed in this one, I hate that she got "tainted", in my words, in the later books. It was really hard for me to like her as much. Right now she is clumsy, and cute and totally clueless about Edward and how he feels and stuff. The good old days smile.gif
Padfoot4Ever
Well firstly, I agree with Snapefan21 and lupin<3tonks It may be a bit much for Twilight. I guess it could be cool for someone who loved to collect this stuff like lupin<3tonks said, but it does seem to be a little overboard.

And about comparing SM to JKR, I agree that its not really fair. They are both of course great authors but in their own way. I mean there are many authors that are great, but in their own way. I mean Nicholas Sparks is a well known author and his books become movies, but hes great in his own way. I know his books aren't in series but that shouldn't matter. I think every author is great in their own way and its not fair to compare them to others. They have their own writing styles.

I don't hate her voice, but she never seems very happy or excited. I just think that for a girl in love you wouldn't have the monotone voice. But as I said, she sounded so much better in the third trailer, so I'm not worried. And I have only seen her in In the Land of Women but after seeing that, I noticed she is a good actress and her voice isn't that bad. I know shes not supposed to be as excited and jumpy as Jessica, but I still would hope shes not monotone. But now that I've seen her in a movie and seen the final trailer I am no longer worried. I know she is a good actress. Its just when you're not familiar with an actor/actress and you're excited and anticipating a movie you worry about how they are as and actor/actress. But I no longer am worrying. So thats a good thing! smile.gif I'm more excited than ever!

Like Padfoot4Ever I don't hate her voice, but sometimes I wish she would have some other expression in her voice then just sounding bored!

A lot of people have said that they see a lot of chemistry between Kristen and Rob. I can't honestly say the same. I think he's more into her than she is for him. In interviews for instance, he trys to include her and he looks at her, but she kind of just stands and looks around and answers questions. And the only two times I've seen chemistry on screen, is the car crash scene, when they look at each other, and when she says (very blandly I might add), "I'm not scared of you". The look they share after that.

Someone who says they have a lot of chemistry, would you please tell about specific moments when you see that chemistry between Rob and Kristen!
Padfoot4Ever
Someone who says they have a lot of chemistry, would you please tell about specific moments when you see that chemistry between Rob and Kristen!

I saw it more in the final trailer. That's when her voice just didn't seem as boring, and in the kissing scene they seemed to be in love. But as you were saying in about interviews..I don't think its the lack of chemistry, I think Kristen is just more shy about interviews. Not saying shes shy but hes more into them. And in the one, she takes hair from his mouth. To me that shows they've become friends and they have the chemistry. They aren't shy with each other. I think its just the interviews that Kristen just kind of sits back and listens. I think I'd be the same way if I were her.
hot-for-harry
OK thanks for explaining that to me! I guess I never really pictured Kristen shy, so I saw it as a lack of interest instead. Yes, I know what you mean Padfoot4ever, I would probably be shy too. More than anything else though, I'd be nervous that I would say something stupid or make myself look like an idiot! Wow, Kristen shy! Never thought of that!
