I may have mentioned this before but in February I'm going to a Twilight convention here in the UK. Anyway, today they announced the first guest...Kellan Lutz. How excited am I?

Our cons aren't the scale of comic-con. This one runs for 3 days and has three themed parties and different ticket levels. Gold, Silver and standard. Gold menebrs get to have pics taken with the guests and stuff signed.

I'm sure that by the time BD would come out they will have some new way of figuring out how to show Nessie's growth. You know how much computers change... its practically daily.

I know but my second cousin still looks like Renesmee. It's so sad that they may not be able to do BD. A girl can dream though, right?

Well I think the ending was amazing, and I'm glad no one died and she got to live a happy life. But i really wish she was more of a crazy new born vampire! Not a super crazy one, but it still would have been cool to read about the thirst and how she has to resist it. When she was with Charlie she never once was like I can smell his blood, or something like that.

Also, about BD being a movie:: When I read it I pictured Renesmee looking like a toddler, but then I realized she was the size of a newborn, but just grew fast. When she was the size of a three month year old she could walk so thats why it would be hard to film that. I think they could just make her be a toddler, thats how I pictured it anyway, and they could have an older child do voice overs. So I think it would still be possible to film this. Which makes me think of a new question::

I think the hardest scene to shoot with be the ones with Renesmee. A baby can't act intelligent like she did in the book. And if they do it graphically...will she look real? I don't know...I see Breaking Dawn being a problem because of Renesmee. I also thought of her as a toddler at first...I had to keep reminding myself that she was in fact an infant. It would be really interesting to see how they do those scenes if they decided to make Breaking Dawn a movie.

That's really the only obstacle I can think of as far as movies go.

Absolutely. In my book, the part after Jacob's book doesn't excist. First, Emmett was way out of character (is it only me who thinks that?). Second, where was the bloodlust? She had it too easy. Third, she got her family. The whole thing even. I think it was a huge fault of SM that she wrote what she likes instead of what seemed realistic (yes, yes, it's a vampire book, but really!). It was too easy for her, and it kind of ruined it for me. I didn't mind Renesmee, but everything else. Suddenly everything between Bella and Jacob were gone, just because Jacob imprinted, but why, why, why did Bella's feelings just disappear. It was unrealistic.

I'm really nervous about Kirsten being able to play zombie-Bella. It's a tough part; she has to look broken, thin and unhealthy. And how will they make Jacob grow spurt good enough? Haha, haw will they make werewolves without making them a cliché. HP did it great with Lupin, but will Twilight be able to do it?

Now this will be a LONG post, because I have to answer every question so far:


How many people have you introduced/cajoled/coerced in to reading the Twilight saga? And, did they like it?
Well, I only got into Twlight a month or so ago, but in that time I have coerced some of my friends into the series. Only a few of them have read it, but those who arent big readers and have ehard me talk constantly about them have become very excited about seeing the movie. I still havent converted my parents and best friend to Twilight-anity, my parents for one are very religious.

What do you think of Bella? Do you think she is an annoying emo? Do you like her character?
I'm afraid I was never a big Bella fan, I may be jealous of the fact that she got Edward, but I honestly found her a bit annoying. This would probably clear up for me if I read Midnight Sun, btu I honestly don't know what drew Edward to Bella! Was it just the can't-read-her-mind thing? I admit I did respect her in Breaking Dawn with the whole Renessme thing, I would have made the same choice she did, but in Eclipse...I'm sorry, but her struggle with her apparent love for Jacob really got to me. It really did.

What is everyone's most annoying Bella moment in the series? What does everyone think Bella's most endearing moment is?
Most annoying Bella moment.... As I mentioned earlier, her entire Eclipse appearance bugged me. The most annoying moment was the whole "I love Jacob, but I love Edward...werewolf or vampire? Oh, I can't decide! I'll just make out with Jacob, use Edward, then decide I want Edward later!" You know how lots of people on VTM didnt like Ginny? It's like that with me and Bella. But I did like her in Breaking Dawn, I respected ehr greatly, and I think a fair bit of her selfish nature was gone by this book. Even though I was always a die-hard Bella/Edward fan, I wasnt sure if I would be happy when they were together forever. But when she made the choices she did regarding Renesmee in Breaking Dawn, I really respected her, so when I finished the book, I was really happy that everything turned out well.

I admit this did make me smile and think, "Ah Stephenie...really?" It was just so unlikely that things would be all Happily-ever-after! While I'm over-joyed that no Cullens died, and I did understand that the self-perparation thing would have contributed to Bella's self control, the fact that she had no new-born vampire tendancies, but as a new-born, managed to save the entire family with her newly discoverred Super-Ultra-Mega-Shield, but she mamages to temporarily get rid of it so that Ed can read her thoughts...I did think this was unlikely. But this didnt really bother me, an unhappy ending would have bugged me more.

What does everyone think Edward's most endearing moment is?
Ha, do you have an hour?? Haha, no, there were a few that made me love Edward even more. Apart fromt he countless "Edward" moments where he treated Bella like a princess, the bits I loved most were the bit in New Moon when he thought he was dead "Amazing, Carlisle was right...they're good, I didnt feel a thing!" and the pasrt with Bella's lullaby. Loved it.

So yeah, that's my very long post, I'm off to kiss my picture of Edward again! LOL, I'm kidding, I dont do that..... or do I?

Umm ok well alot of people believe that it might be in the Sex Drive movie since they say its a Summit production while many hope that it DOESN'T appear in HSM3 ; Not many people will be happy if it is. Yea I did see Ellen! I was really disappointed. Everything she said, we had already known. Ellen was hilarious, but Stephenie was on there for about 3 minutes, while Meg Ryans and Neyo got awhile.

Honestly, I have say that there isn't anything to worry about with Kristen playing a zombie Bella. In her movie Speak, her character was a date rape victim- broken, confused, lost all her friends. Yes, she was four or five years younger than she is now- but if she impacted me that much at that age, she must have gotten a lot better as an actress. I think Kristen would do an exellent job as playing zombie Bella.

I can't think of any scenes that might be hard for Kristen-except maybe riding the motercycle or jumping off cliffs. I know for certain I'd be terrified to jump off a cliff!

As for my favorite quotes, I have a few.
I love in Twilight, when Bella got sick after her first run with Edward, and her head's between her legs, and he says "Bella, look at me." I just loved that line of his.
And basically, everything that comes out of Emmett's mouth is brilliant, I love him!

I agree, definately. Especially about Bella's feelings to Jacob. I get that imprinting would take Jacob's feeligns away, but surely Bella would still feel something? It's like imprinting solved everything. It was unrealistic, as you said.

Also, Twilight Story: I am basically scared of dogs, and as such, i would've been very reluctant to get a pet dog. So when my mother said "Guess what? We're getting a puppy!" i went into complete freak out mode. The point to this story? The good thing was, i got to name the puppy. What did i name her?

Well... I've been thinking about this. We know that Jacobs feelings for Bella changed when he imprinted. We also know that Bella's feelings for Edward became stronger after her transformation. Maybe, when Bella changed.. her feelings for Jacob changed into being more brotherly, just like Jacob's became more of a sisterly love. Am I making any sense??

I agree with Honeybee. Except I always thought Bella knew her feelings were more brotherly than anything else, didn't she? Maybe it wasn't till after they were married that she finally realized what type of feelings she had for him...I don't know, but I had always gotten the impression that she felt that way toward Jacob she just could never convey that to him. I'm just glad that whole thing got resolved I don't care how it happened, it needed to end and it needed to end fast!

Maybe, but I still think it was rather stupid. Feelings just don't go away. I think this was another example of that SM wrote this as she wanted rather what was realistic. The whole thing kind of fell apart in the last part where everything just happened as she wanted it to.

It cracks me up everytime. But there's just so many that it's hard to choose. I love most of the Emmett situations, and Charlie is great at the funny things too. Especially during Eclipse.

Okay, so I wasked this in the first Twilight thread, but no one seemed to be able to anser it, I'll give it another try as it's bugging me...

We all know what Jasper can effect your emotions, right. And Alice explained to Bella in (oh, I don't remember which one now!) that Jasper's talent helps on Bella too because his thing doesn't do something in the mind, but the body instead. But he can do that on vampires too. But the vampires' hearts don't beat, ergo, there must not be running blood around their bodies to slow down or speed up, right? So how come he's able to manipulate with their emotions? It shouldn't be possible, or is there someone who can answer or clear this up for me?

Right, so I don't know the answer. There are a couple times when this happens in the books. She says something about vampires' bodies(the inside) and then she contradicts herself later in the book. I don't know the answer to this. It shouldn't be possible, so I guess we're just reading into it more than SM expected.

I dont think he affects you emotions by doing things to your blood, so it probably has something else to do with your body. I remember Alice said something about endorphins(spl?).

Another thing about talents...So Bella can't be affected by anything that deals with the mind. So then wouldn't Renesmee's talent not work on her. Renesmee shows your her thoughts, feelings, or whatever she wants you to see. I'm guessing she puts these into your head, so why do you think Bella dosen't block it.

This was discussed in BD p. 663-664. When Bella, Edward, Renesmee, and Jacob go to hunt before the Volturi come, Bella starts to freak when she thinks her shield has holes. That's the first time she realizes that Nessie has always been able to show Bella her thoughts. Edward then explains that he thought about this the first time Nessie touched Bella and that he had two theories, one more likely than the other:

1. (Less likely theory) That Nessie is Bella's daughter and genetically half Bella. He reminded Bella that he had always teased her about how her mind was on a different frequency than everyone else and that maybe Nessie's works the same way.

2. He also reminds Bella about what Carlisle said to him about Nessie right after she showed Bella her first memory. "It's an interesting twist. Like she's doing the exact opposite of what you can." That Nessie took Bella's talent and flipped it. Bella keeps everyone out, and no one can keep Nessie out.

Hope that this made some sense... I tend to ramble!!

Maybe it works differnent if you're human or vampire. Like it's a bit easier to control a human faster because you have more things to work with to control the emotions. Becuase we tend to let our emotions take over the temperature of our blood. How fast it pumps and so on. For a vampire you have to control there thought. Like make them believe they're calm. Make the atmosphere more calmer and when they loosen up he can penetrate them. I know this isn't said anywhere and it might contradict stuff but I seriously have always thought this.

And Honeybee what you're trying to say is that Nessie is not doing some new talent on Bella; It's the same talent just opposite, so it can still penetrate since its the same thing? I thought that maybe it's possible that they are on the same frequency intresting.

I don't collect dolls either, but this isn't just any doll. This is a Twilight, Edward Cullen doll. Much better than a Barbie, or action figure. I'd be afraid to break the doll though. You know accidentally pulling off its head or something. When I was younger I accidentally did that to a Barbie. I'd probably just put it on my desk and sit there looking at it like an idiot!

But it's OK. If you pull the head off this doll it will rejoin and be perfect again. You have to cut it up into little bits and burn it to really destroy it!

I definitely have to just have to look at. It can stay in the box for all eternity....

That's right! I forgot it would reassemble! That makes me feel much better! And yeah, it can just stay in the box! Oh, I'm so happy! Now I don't have to worry about it if I pull off the head. Not that I could becuase it'll be in the box!

Honestly I can actually see myself buying the doll and not even thinking about taking it out of the box. If I want to be able to take it out I have to buy two. One for a collection and the other for whatever purpose or use I'd like. As for the "Why does Jasper's power work on vampires?" question, i'm assuming it's just because. Like why can Nessie show thoughts? Why can Alice see the future? Why can Edward read minds? Jasper's power works on vampires, as well as humans, just ... because.

Or that's my theory.

Jaspers power use on Vampires...I think it works because it's an emotive thing. By that I mean that since vampire still have very strong emotional feelings, they are not just a human thing and his power can work to subdue them.

If they cost anywhere near as much as the HP ones, they will be very expensive. They currently retail for around the $150 mark!

Anywho, yes I showed that artice as well here a few pages back I beg to differ with you. I think that's so cool and cute that they actually went to the area where the book sets. I think it helps to like get the feel of Bella living there. I mean she was human and if you're there and you go back and read the books you'll defiently understand her. I don't know I think it's super cool and cute and I personally would've done the same I mean the book was set to happen in Forks, Washington ; Not from the comfort of my couch lol So I don't know some people did think it was ridicuous but that's there opinion and yours.

Yeah, I have to agree with you Nicky. Until Stephenie Meyer, the economy of Forks was down the pan. Making it a tourist attraction for what ever reason can only be a good thing in these times of economic down turn. Jobs have been created and businesses are thriving. The countryside around the whole area is breathtaking and why shouldn't that be shared with the rest of the world. Places like Orlando are famous for their associations with something else. Everywhere that attracts tourists needs an angle if they want the punters to come and spend there money. I say long may it last...well at least long enough for me to save up enough to go there myself.

So much has happened, I don't know what to say I can't think of it all! Something that comes to mind right now... I found out SM was gonna be on Ellen, and then I watched it and she was only there like, two minutes? Less? I was disappointed.

What? Was there a picture of the doll? *goes to see* WOW!! That's amazing! I want it. But, hooo... 150 is alot. Oh well. *counts money* Or I can have it as all my birthday presents combined... Hmm. I'll have to think about that one. This is really something that would amuse me. It was just a matter of time, wasn't it?

That article with Taylor and Rob and Kellan! I saw the picture and I was laughing my head off. Taylor looks absolutely clueless. I just love them.

I can't belive Nikki got her hair back to brown. I don't find it suits her very well, blonde looked much better on her! It... softens her.

The VMA scandal. Hmm. The host did annoy me. But NoMoreMarbles, as she does with everything else, brought out the positive side of things and made this hilarious video. I love her.

Personally, I think Nikki looks good either way. I think that the blonde was a bit too blonde. If it was a darker shade of blonde it might have looked better, but sometimes it looked incredibly fake! I like the brown though.

As for the previous discussion about Forks. I don't think I would like to go there, actually. That might sound weird, but I have a picture of what Forks would look like in my mind, and I don't want it to change. It's perfect right now!

It's great though that the businesses are doing better! I wonder if the citizens of Forks ever get tired of fans coming through. I only hope that Forks doesn't change and become a huge city. I hope that it stays just like the book Forks- quiet and small.

A couple months ago, I met a family who lives in Portland, Oregon. I started talking about the movie and asking them if they'd seen anybody or anything! They said they had never even heard of it! I was shocked. And disappointed. I was hoping for a little information about it, but apparently they lived in the wrong section of the town.

I have to agree with hot-for-harry, I wouldn't go actually visit Forks myself. I'm a fan but not that big of a fan Plus I don't have any money!! But I like what you said etphonehome about how its great for the economy of Forks to have a tourist attraction! Anything to help them out is great, and I'm all for it! Its a wonderful thing to happen and I'm sure the people that live there are probably both greatful for it and maybe a little annoyed with all the visitors at times! I know if a bunch of people were visiting here where I lived I'd probably feel a mixture of both!

I think Twilight is coming out on a Friday right? So they would have a midnight showing on a Thursday/Friday...right? Unless they have like a sneak preview I don't know about that would be before that! But me and my sister are probably going to pre-order tickets and go on Friday since we don't have any classes on that day! Its our only day off from school so it wil be perfect!

nevillesgirl, I think you were quoting me on the whole Jasper quote..so thanks! A lot of my favorite quotes are from Edward or Edward & Bella so it is nice to break away from the norm and have a quote from someone else! Besides, I thought that was one of the sweetest moments of the whole series!

I wouldn't get the doll...too too too much money! I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway! I'm dissappointed about Ellen too, I was hoping she would talk about Midnight Sun! Oh well! It probably wouldn't have mattered, she'd have probably said the same thing that we all already know!

There is another article online now concerning the recent reshoots the filmmakers have held for Twilight to create a few additional scenes. MTV spoke with Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene before a Teen Vogue party and got this info:

"What are we allowed to say?" Reed wondered aloud, teasing us while she thought back to the top-secret shoot. "I think all we can say is, there were a few days when there were some weather issues [during the original shoot earlier this year] and some time issues, and a few things that could have been done better. And they were."

"There were a lot of additional scenes," Reed explained. "I think when they saw the film, I mean this is kind of a guess, but I think that they realized that it could use a little bit more of the old element, so I think the flashbacks focused on that."

nicky potter, Your outfit idea for the baseball playing vampire is great! That sounds like a lot of fun. I can't say that I really have thought about Halloween yet. I dressed up last year, but I haven't gone trick-or-treating in about three. I should think up something Twilight related too. That would be fun.

Yes! I want to see another trailer too! And I'm so excited about the movie! That's the only movie I'm really looking forward to in the near future right now. Well, the only movie I know of. I'm so excited for it, but I'm also really scared. I don't want it to taint anything about the book in my mind. It's so horrible! I want to see it, but I don't at the same time. I'll end up seeing it though. Of that I am certain.

Oh I was thinking about Halloween today and that I wanted to do something Twilight related. All this new info about the scenes, and other things are getting me so excited for the movie! I'm going at midnight with a bunch of my friends, even thought its a school night. It was originally going to be just me and my one friend, but we have gotten all of our friends to read the books! I haven't yet met a teenage girl who isn't super obsessed with the books. Has anyone had a friend that they gave the book to, and then they hated it? It would be interesting to see why some people might not like the books. (Though I would have no idea why! ).

I can't wait to see the trailer in the theates! That will make it so much better to see it on the huge screen. Does anyone know which movies they said the trailer would come out with?

Oh ahaha that's so funny! I was in the same thing xD originally it was going to be me and my team edward pants making friend only. Since that day, I have lend my books out to my other friends and now I'm going with a HUGE group of friends. And since majority rules we're going afterschool even though I wanted to go to midnight.

My friend is dressing up as a vampire for Halloween. Not a sparklepire, though (I totally stole that from a livejournal site). I don't know why!
