The relationship between Edward and Bella seemed kind of rushed; it seemed like one moment he's staring her down with seething hatred and the next moment they couldn't live without each other. But I understand that they have to do what they can in the time allotted.
I agree. It seems like the normal (for this day in age) teenage romance. You meet the person date them for a day, and suddenly it hurts to be away from them for a second and they are dramatic with words like 'I need you' and 'I can't live without you'. And how quickly people rush into saying 'I love you'. I'm not judging everybody, because I know a lot of people are mature in their relationships and not so frivolous. I'm sure you all can understand where I am coming from though. Sorry if I have offended anybody though, I can't talk since I've never actually been in a relationship like that. (Which brings on a whole other situation about young dating, but I won't get started on that!)

Did anyone notice (on IMDb) that one of the characters with Jacob Black on the beach was Sam Uley? I'm interested to see if they end up using the other character as either Embry or Quil. Maybe they will edit one or both of them out. It'll be interesting to see what they do with New Moon.
Yeah I noticed Sam there, because I remember when I was reading Twilight the second or third time through, thinking 'Hey, Sam is here at La Push!'. I didn't picture them like that, (for instance, isn't Sam- since he's a werewolf at that time- supposed to have short, cropped hair) but I'm glad that they are actually Quileute natives. That brings some reality and the correct feeling to the screen. I truly hope that both Embry and Quil are there.
For me, I don't feel like they have as much room in this one to make it different from the book. Sure, they can edit out some of Jacob and Bella's less important conversations, but as for the people, even if they're not terribly important, I feel like they should all be there. Embry changes into a werewolf, Quil gets scared, later on Quil imprints. They are all important. But I do understand what you guys are saying about Leah not needing to be there. I just feel that if they edit them out of this one, who's to say they won't take other more important people out of the rest of the movies. I'm probably over-reacting, but I'm not sure about what they're planning on doing to the movies. Look how they changed Twilight!

and what was with that calm voice Carlisle used when he said what was it? 'Stop you're killing her?' I started cracking up when he said that.
Yes, there seemed to be a lot of unintentionally funny lines and actions in this movie. It's not
supposed to be a comedy.
Geez, I'm already getting worried about New Moon. I think I'll end up falling in love with the New Moon movie more than the Twilight movie though, because of Taylor Lautner's infectious personality!
