I am curious as to how you found Veritaserum.com!

I was re-reading one of the books one day and was bothered by not knowing exactly what a few of the British slang words meant and put "British slang Wotcher" in the Google search engine. It led me to "Veritaserum Forums > General > Archived Threads > Lounge Archive:"
"British Slang, what does it mean?".

One thing led to another and it was a while before I got back to reading the book!

Well in the Yahoo search engine I typed in Harry Potter and this site came up in the mix of everything that came up. Heck did you know that there is actually a Hogwarts School Online? I swear, but I don't remember the name of the site. Heck I'm sure you'd find it if you searched for it. LOL!

Hello! I was searching for answers to some questions I had about HBP or DH I think, so I went to Yahoo and typed in the book name and Veritaserum was one of the top searches that came back! So I clicked on it, read some information, which by the way, answered my questions (go you!) and I saw the Forum picture and clicked on it, saw the different sorting quizzes...and was hooked from there!

I can't even honestly remember really. It was 4 years ago. I believe I was on another Harry Potter site and it mentioned news on Veritaserum so I checked it out and then I clicked on the forum and I thought it was awesome so I joined. And I love it!

Well a few years ago, my brother was telling me all this awesome Harry Potter trivia concerning the books and movies, but what he wouldn't tell me was where he was getting it from. Then I walked in on him when he was on the computer and he was on VTM. I asked if this was where he was getting all the cool facts and he said yes. I wrote down the name of the site and started coming here. I didn't really know about the forums at the time. And I finally joined this year! I wish I had joined sooner! I've been coming on this site for so long!

I had already found a bunch of great Harry Potter sites, but I wanted to find a discussion forum, so under a Google search I looked for one. I've found several, but for whatever reason this is the place I feel most at home.

I'm so glad this forum is here and that the discussion keeps going on after the books are out.

I love Veritaserum. It's great. You get news, and you can talk to other Harry Potter fans from around the world. I also love the no chatspeak rule. Not because English isn't my first language (it is my first language), it's because for some reason people seem nicer and smarter when they type the whole word out.

I was actually looking for a forum devoted to people who made fanvideos, as I love to make HP fanvideos, but the first link was a subsection from here, and so I joined because I realised it was all about HP and I love HP

Well, my dad and I were looking up when the 4th HP movie came up. We google-searched it, and found VTM. I didn't visit it again, until later on when I was looking something up for the 6th book, and I sort of re-found it. I had a friend who was already on this site, and she got me going from there.

I was looking about open auditions for the films online and typed it in on google and this was like the first site that came up. So I had a little mosey round and checked a few things out and I really liked the place so I decided to join.

I'm so glad I found VTM cause I've made amazing friends and everyone on here really is lovelly

I was on my regular random google searching harry potter days and I was looking for information on the 6th movie because I was dying to know more and I saw this website. Honestly I joined at first because I wanted to be sorted and find out about what wand I'd use all those cute quizzes and I was hooked <3 Then after I visited everday since I joined in the summer and I loved it because I had convo's with other potter lovers ; Because not many of my friends like HP so I can't talk to them about it which sucks because I feel alienated :/

I made some cool e-friends I love you all you know who you are ; and also a plus about VTM is that it has a section with other stuff like Twilight

I simply googled Harry Potter. I found mugglenet and other crappy sites. I did not like any of them. Well, after 20+ links, I found Veritaserum. I liked the parchment, and the forums headlines drew me in. I joined immediately.

Well my cousions (klupinwerewolf and SabrinaSnape) recommended it and always talked about it alot so I had a poke around and was happy with the site and suprised them by joining. I'm glad I did its a great site and I to have made some good friends because of it.

Actually, I had found it before I found it (there is an explanation)

Last year at christmas I was bored, and I had just watched a show on TV where they talked about fan-fics. So I searched the Internet and found a couple of pages and I read a few fics. One of them was on this site and it was made by somebody named Vicki. One of my friends is named so, and she is a very big HP fan as I am, so I figured she might be the author. But holiday had just begun and soon I was distracted, so I forgot all about and never got to ask her whether she was the author.

But then in the spring, we started discussing english while me and some of my classmates (amongst them was Vicki) were eating lunch. One guy said said that Vicki wasn't good at English, and I suddenly remembered what I had read, so I disagreed. Vicki was very surprised that I knew she was good and asked why. And I said that I think I might have read a Harry Potter fan-fic that you've written. She was very flattered/impressed and sent me a few links and soon I was a member here at VTM!

Long story, I know

I don't remember, even if I have registered 2 or 3 weeks ago, but I knew this site a long time ago. Anyway, I think that I searched on Google something about Harry Potter and I found VTM. I'm glad that I did!

My story is probably something like Flippy. I found it way before I became a member though, so I can't remember exactly when or where I found out about this site!

My sister actually found VTM, she was really into HP and had just introduced me to PS/SS. She said Matthew was looking for Mods and gave me the link. I joined, applied for a Mod job and got it. This was back in the very early days (2003?), long before we moved to this server and the site looks like it does now. Back then there were a handful of posters, me, the Matthews, Mawish, Laura. Then the site seemed to boom and the next thing we knew there were tonnes of people joining everyday! It's crazy seeing how the site is now. It's almost like the old days didn't even happen, it's just always been like this.

I can't remember how exactly it was, but the thing is that I just had got internet at home, and so started looking for HP sites greedily, and randomly having a look. I probably found something extremely interesting and came; then I wanted to post somewhere interesting in the forums, but I couldn't since it asked me to sign up. As I'm a reckless, I did it and became a member, never thinking in coming back later. But I did! So hurray Vtm!
Oh, yeah, and another thing who caught me were the fanfics in the main screen board, since I'd never heard of them before and I felt interested.

I was searching on google for such type of forum. It is very nice forum.

Well, one of my friends was obsessed with Fan Fictions a year or two ago, and she found one she really liked on this site. She e-mailed me the link, and I read it. It was a really good fic (I feel bad, because I can't remember the title; it was about James and Lily, but I don't remember the name) so I read others. I made an account to write one too. My first fic stank, but the second was pretty good, and I started getting involved in the forums. And here I am now.

Well both my friends and i are obsessed with the Harry Potter series. so my friend maddie(yeah i know you're out there somewhere...) told me about it, and asked me to try it out, and i did. and that's how i got here

Hello! Well, found good ol' VTM while my dad and I were on a search engine. We wanted to find out when one of the books came out, so we found this site! I didn't think anything of it, so I looked, and then I forgot it for the longest time. Then Maddie ^^^ asked me for a HP site one day, so I said that I had found something called Veri-something. She looked it up, and then got hooked. Then she got me hooked! End of story. Kind of boring, I know, but true!

Hi All! I would have to say that I came across VTM by the use of Google. I am a big Harry Potter fan and at the beginning of the summer I was trying to find some HP info and VTM popped up. I loved this site as soon as I found it. I tell everyone that I know about this site. Some of my friends find me a little odd... but what's new?? They already knew that.

I was trying to find some sort of evidence that the 6th film had in fact been delayed because I was really angry about it and just could not accept that people would do such a stupid evil thing. Then I found this site and came on....and realised that evryone else was thinking the same sort of thing! I spent like an hour on here just reading posts and shouting randomly, "thats what I think!!!!" or "I know!!!!" at the computer screen before it actually occured for me to join. I am soooo happy that I did because hardly any of my friends are big HP fans so i have like no one to talk to to express my......thoughts with, but now I do! All my friends roll their eyes and sigh whenever I mention VTM but I don't care because I know that I'll just be repeating what I sy later on VTM to people who understand!

Well, at this one point, I was really into searching Google for info on the up and coming HP film, and I came across a discussion on here. In someone's signature was a link to their fanfic. I read it. I loved it. it got me REALLY obsessed with fanfiction, and I was desperate to join VTM to write my own. When I was a member, I started to explore the site more, and now here I am.

I searched "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie" on Google, and found this site. It was actually weeks later, that I realized you could join and participate in the forums. Now I come on here whenever I have internet access!

Well, my friend, who's site name is hot-for-harry, told me that the site was amazing. She said that it was basically everything about Harry Potter and that because I loved Harry Potter so much, I should definitely join. She told me it was more of a mature, formal site, where everyone was really nice, and you could meet tons of new people who love Harry Potter as much as me, so I joined.

I found out about VTM while I signed up for an email account on another HP related site. There was a little window and I clicked on it and boom it brought me here! I've been hooked ever since

While checking out Harry Potter related stuff on other websites there was always a link somewhere on the page to Veritaserum... after seeing it many times I decided to actually check it out lol and here we are

I was looking on google for pictures on tonks in OOTP and after pages and pages and pages found on in the galleries here at VTM I started coming here to read Fanfics and look at the R/HR ship thread I joined and the rest is history!

I found Vertiaserum.com awhile ago just by accident after i searched the word Veritaserum into google because i was bored one day. Ever since then ive been hooked to the website and i love, although i just recently made an account

When I found VTM I believe I had been looking for the official Harry Potter site, and I found the WB one that's mainly about the movies. Finally, I got tired of going there and so I searched google again for an HP site and after going through about five sites I found VTM. I was interested in the name and the whole quote/logo on the top of the page. After I searched through the forums and stuff I decided to join. I believe it's been more than a year already

I found Veritaserum through the snitchseeker.com site which i joined recently. I liked the layout and saw that this is a great place to talk to other serious Harry Potter fans like myself.

As many of you may already know Nevilesgilr is my wife. Around April of this year I started reading the series and finished somewhere around the middle of September. Needless to say, I became somewhat addicted to HP. Nevillesgirl has been helping me along the way. Keep posting and and we will all have a grand old time.

I was on Facebook and happened to find the group "You Know You're Obsessed With Harry Potter if...." It had this site, Mugglenet, and the Leaky Cauldron on there. I never bothered to go on here but I was bored and decided to and I love it! Now I know I'm not crazy.

It was the period when I spent quite a lot of my time looking for Harry Potter pictures. I think I found it like that. In Google search. I clicked on a picture and it mentioned the site.

I think I was browsing through a list of Harry Potter related Forums on Google.

I found this one, and fell in love with the layout. As well as the growing number of users that were visiting the site on a regular basis.

I've been a member of several smaller Harry Potter related forums, and it became a common trend that the forum would die out in an absense of Harry Potter media(movies/books/etc) being released.

I found this forum, and noticed it's huge membership, and felt compelled to join and begin posting at once!

My mom was painting a family friends house when they were out, and they said I could use their computer. So I searched info on Daniel Radcliffe. And it got me here. And the rest, I'll say, is magic!

Through the wonderful world of Google! I was actually coming to this site for news a lot, and, while they were still up, browsing the galleries. It wasn't for a long time that I realized there were forums as well. I just surveyed for a long time, and then I joined. And the rest is history!

How I found Veritaserum is as follows: I was searching for some Harry Potter stuff one day and I googled 'emma watson's address' it pulled up: veritaserum-emmawatson's address. so I decided well this might be the only one I find, may as well check it out. so i checked it out and got the address and decided to check out the site. and here I am as a member to day. and i love it!!!!!!

Well I was grossly disappointed by how I for some reason couldn't get a membership on Leaky Cauldron, despite the fact I emailed people and tried, tried again. I wanted something else to satisfy my hp urges that was personal and not just like "OMGUSHHH HP IS SO COOOL. HARRY IS SEXYYYY". Sorry for that, but you know what it's like when you see those websites and you think, I can't have a conversation with those people. So I googled various things until I found vtm. I don't remember what I googled that made this come up unfortunately. Either way this is easy to find on google! I was so happy when I found this. It was exactly what I wanted. There is plenty to keep me entertained.

I am constantly on the computer with Snapefan21, and as we are both obsessed with Harry Potter, and I mean obsessed, she showed me this site. I remember thinking "Yeah, OK, whatever," but she just kept persisting that I join. I finally got so fed up with her nagging me (sorry, girl, but it's true), I joined, and now I'm glad that Snapefan doesn't back down easily when she wants something! VTM is the best of the best, and I'm never going anywhere else to get my fill of Harry Potter!

Well, except my HP bookshelf. Yes, I have an entire bookshelf dedicated to Harry Potter. Don't ask why, because I haven't got a clue either.

I found Veritaserum when I was looking for information on the actors. I searched Google (like pretty much everyone else) and found VTM near the top of the list. I came on it a lot, but it took me awhile to figure out that you could actually join the site. So I did. Though I'd have to say my name could have been a bit more original...

I was looking to see why I couldn't find the last book...only to discover it was not released yet. In a fit of frustration I searched for a website that might have HP fans. I joined the first day and still love it.

After I read the books, (which was sadly after five of the movies had come out)I got really obsessed with the world of harry potter. I google searched hary potter and joined every fan site I could get my harry potter crazed fingers on. This was just one of the mass, but the only one I'm still using.

I love the Harry Potter books and I absolutely loved Harry Potter movies.Well here's how I got to this great site.I don't really remember much but I was on Google. I remember typing in Harry Potter's cat for some reason. I saw a funny comic and it led me to this site. Funny how one thing leads you to another.
