Oh, wow, I haven't been here in ages"

Sorry!
Anyway...
Why do you think Hermione applied for a time-turner? Did she considergetting one first, or do you think Professor McGonagall ask her about getting one first?I think she signed up for all the subjects first, and then McGonagall asked her if she was really interested in doing that many subjects. McGonagall knew what an exemplary student she was, and although she wouldn't be able to do that many subjects normally, McGonagall probably thought she could handle it. I don't really think she 'applied', as such I think McGonagall suggested it.
How much do you think Hermione researched about Hogwarts when she learned she would be going? I think she did a LOT of background reading. Specifically about Hogwarts, though, I'm not so sure. I think she just learned
Hogwarts: A History off by heart and left it at that.
Do you think Hermione would have made any friends if she didn't meet Ron and Harry? No. You see the change that she goes through throughout the books, and without Harry and Ron she would never have changed for the better. Maybe if she were in Ravenclaw, she would have made some friends , but I don't think the Gryffindors would have accepted her. Perhaps eventually she would make some friends, but it would take a long time.
Describe Hermione's thought during the infamous troll incident. A mixture of fear, for obvious reasons, anger at herself for being so careless, incredulity that anyone cared enough about her at Hogwarts to save her life, gratitude and awkwardness that she would probably owe a life debt to Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.

Describe Hermione's thought during the infamous troll incident.
Oh. My. God. I'm gonna die! C'mon! Think! Ummmm.... Why can't I remember any spells? HELP!
Do you think Hermione would have made any friends if she didn't meet Ron and Harry?
Probably not. The only friends that she made were through Ron and Harry. Ginny, Neville, even Fred and George, were all met through those two. It's pretty fortunate that there was a troll, huh?
Why do you think Hermione applied for a time-turner? Did she considergetting one first, or do you think Professor McGonagall ask her about getting one first?
I think that when McGonagall first saw Hermione's schedule, she talked to her about considering getting a time-turner. Being the studious girl that she is, I think that she would've felt utterly stupid for not thinking of that first.
What do you think would be Hermione's favorite movie? TV show? fictional book? song?
Movie: The DaVinci Code? I think she'd like figuring out the mystery behind it.
TV Show: CSI. She'd probably figure out the answer half an hour before the people on TV, and then she'd laugh at their futile attempts to figure it out.
Book: Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice. She seems like a Jane Austen girl.
Song: Brown Eyed Girl
OK, I've gotta go to church!

Hey Ladies
Cheese I am so busy with work and getting my things sorted for university
Anyway...
Why do you think Hermione applied for a time-turner? Did she considergetting one first, or do you think Professor McGonagall ask her about getting one first?I think that it worked out differently: Hermione subcribe for the subjects and handed it in to McGonagall. Then McGonagall saw all the subject that Hermione wanted to learn and she went to Dumbledore and asked him if they could help her with her studies. How much do you think had Hermione research about Hogwarts when she learned she would be going? A fair bit, she first had to get to Diagon Alley before she could learn anything. But after she got to Diagon Alley she read as much as possible.Do you think Hermione would have made any friends if she didn't meet Ron and Harry?Yes ofcourse, personnaly probably just Ravenclaws seeing as she is so smartDescribe Hermione's thought during the infamous troll incident.Scared like a rabbit facing a cobra, I think she she thank her fairy stars that Harr and Ron showed up.See you ladies around

Why do you think Hermione applied for a time-turner? Did she consider getting one first, or do you think Professor McGonagall ask her about getting one first?I think Hermione (being the bookworm she is) would have read about time-turners and maybe thought about it. I don't think she thought that she would be able to use one for school though. Professor McGonagall probably looked at Hermione's schedule and went "How did this kid get into all this?" Then they would have sorted it all out.
How much do you think Hermione research about Hogwarts when she learned she would be going? She would have learned everything she possibly could. Hermione would have haunted Diagon Alley bookstores, looking for every book that had a mention of Hogwarts. She would have spent every single moment reading all the information, then storing it in her brain to use for later.
Do you think Hermione would have made any friends if she didn't meet Ron and Harry?Probably not. She would have stuck to the books, and became a more 'insufferable know-it-all'. Becaoming friends with Harry and Ron seemed to be a turning point in her life, and if she hadn't met them, she wouldn't have really been so friendly to everyone else.
Describe Hermione's thoughts during the infamous troll incident.*cry, cry, cry* I can't stay in here forever, so I might as well- Holy Crow! What is tat thing? Run away. I'm going to die. *scream* It's a troll! Help! Someone! Anyone! *screaming more* Not those two doofuses! They are actually doing something! Why can boys never remember the right spells? C'mon, guys! We really need some more posts. The ones that Kel posted are pretty new still, and great ones. Let's pick it up, OK? Oh, and a big congrats to Kel! I have promoted her to not only being in charge of Hermione-ette, but she is now in charge of all contests that we run. If we decide to hold a... fanfic contest, let's say. Kel would be in charge of picking the winner, setting deadlines, deciding whether or not to extend the deadlines, etc. Let's give her a hand!

We need a new question... Ahha! How about....
Do you think Hermione stayed friends with everyone after the war at Hogwarts and who do you think she stayed friends with? and
Do you think Hermione went back and finished her 7th year at Hogwarts?Sorry if we have had these questions before.. I'm somewhat newer, as I have said, so sorry.

Aw, thanks guys. I feel so proud and important

I am developing our first contest. It should start soon. Keep an eye out!
Kiersten: To answer your question: Hermione-ette is a title we give someone for contributing each month. It is like Snape Devotee or Dumbledore-ette. Send me or Sadie a PM with the name of someone you think contributes well to the club. Then we run voting and the person with the most votes wins a lovely piccture and bragging rights.

Right now we have three nominations: DW, Sadie and ME! You have until Friday to send in your votes.
Do you think Hermione stayed friends with everyone after the war at Hogwarts and who do you think she stayed friends with? I think she kept in touch with a lot of people. Probably most of the DA. Neville, Luna, perhaps Lavender and the Patil twins.
Do you think Hermione went back and finished her 7th year at Hogwarts?Yes. Positivly. Certainly. For sure.

She wouldn't be able to go on with life knowing that she didn't finish school. I don't think she would like that hanging over her. She would want the satisfaction that she accomplished that, and she could lord over everyone with that satisfaction.

Guys, don't worry about this! Everything on the forums is going very slow, but it's not a problem, it's just because of a lot of different reasons:
On one hand, there're no more HP! books, and we've talked about almost everything, and the things that haven't been talked about depress us because we know it's over
Then, it's the reschedule of the movie, that really let us down!
Also, we have the post Christmas blues, half of the world has exams and all and things to worry about, and half of the world (*kneazle jumps feebly*) feels so roasted that their brains have got a bit dull lately.
But it's anybody's fault! Everything will go on again soon.
Now... I'm on doubt about the Hermione's fanfics contest if there will be one. But if there's, I'll have to search amongst my papers to see if I have written one, and in that case, end it! Because I've got so many left fanfics...

Lazy me.
Do you think Hermione stayed friends with everyone after the war at Hogwarts and who do you think she stayed friends with?Sure, I think the trio stayed friends at least, and of course, with Neville and Luna; then with Seamus, Dean, Ernie, Hannah, and all the ones who helped them.
Do you think Hermione went back and finished her 7th year at Hogwarts?Yeah, JK said it, that she was the only one of the trio in completing her magical education. Kudos!
Oh, btw, Emma's ems on her website says she's gonna have her hair dyed a bit darker. Yay! It's grand, she's dyed her too blond, and it's not like Hermione.
In other information... I had my hair cut.

My hair (those who had seen pics of me know it) is dark brown, with some streams of auburn and blond under sunlight, and used to be very long, wavy, bushy, frizzy but with some messy ringlets and curls (well, not so ugly as it sounds) But the ends, after a whole year of a light cut to keep it long for my graduation, were all burnt and wore, so I went to have it cut last Tuesday. The hairdresser said that long hair looked good on me, and when she finished, I was convinced that my hair remained long but... No! I still have to get used to it

At least it's fresh for summer.

Questions update: I am going to re-read the series, and I will being scanning through it for questions to ask.

Crazy people.... I'm going to answer my questions.
Do you think Hermione stayed friends with everyone after the war at Hogwarts and who do you think she stayed friends with?
We know she stayed friends with the trio and Ginny. Most likely Neville, Luna, and most of the DA. I don't know if she would of actually stayed friends with Lavender or not because she was Ron's ex and she was really annoying, haha. That's just me.
Do you think Hermione went back and finished her 7th year at Hogwarts?

Thanks for the info DeSs! I actually found some information on the HP Wiki site last night, and started reading it, but that was more than I knew. It's actually really interesting to know exactly what happened to the characters at the end. I love how Luna returned to the Quibbler, haha, but anyway.....
The interview is long, but it's definitely worth a read. I'm glad Hermione did go back, and that she still worked with SPEW once she got out.

Wow, LOVED the interview! It revealed loads of stuff...
I always look at wikipaedia for HP information. It's so informative! It tells you LOADS you never knew...
Anyway, I have a *question*

(drum roll please...)
What do you think were Hermione's main reasons for returning to Hogwarts? I mean, aside from finishing her magical education (merely a formality really, seeing as all she'd have to write on a CV would be 'Helped Harry Potter defeat the Dark Lord' and she'd probably get the job) do you think there was anything else that made her go back? I think that other than the fact it would probably haunt her for the rest of her life, she wanted to be fully educated. Hermione was the kind of person who wanted to reach to top of everything, so she would of wanted to learn as much as possible. I mean, I don't think she would want to be considered a "drop-out," because in a way, that was what it was. I wish Ron and Harry would of done so too. Just because you learn a lot of advanced stuff in your 7th year, not only in DADA, and that might have been the guys' reasoning to it. They probably thought they had learned enough on their "quest," but anyway......
I really like your question, and I too have now found the Harry Potter Wiki site and love it. I use it for research I need for anything on here.

It would always sort of be hanging over her that she could have but didn't. I think she also wanted the chance to go back to school and learn, if possible, anything she didn't know. As if

'Helped Harry Potter defeat the Dark Lord'

again.
Yes, I agree Hermione would be a castaway before getting a job without having completed her magical education. She'd probably like to keep learning and all. However, I don't think that'd be a problem to Harry and Ron, since to be an Auror, you have to take a two-years-long curse, so they'll be learning anyway (haha, Ron). I hope they had got back, anyway. We could have had an eight book

(Nah, believe me, I wouldn't want an eight book)

That is a good idea Keirsten. What is your idea? Dess, maybe not a competition. Perhaps we each write a chapter or something like that. How many authors are there in the crowd? That might help decide.
Oh! I just thought up another question. I don't think we have asked many questions from GOF, have we?
How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?
~Kel
mugglelovrspew
Jan 28 2009, 11:52 PM
Well, my idea was pretty simple. I do like the idea of each of us writing a chapter; it would be very interesting to see a story like that, and I'll participate! My idea was this:
Hermione is really interested in a boy; it can be Ron or anyone. What would she do to see if they like her or get them to like her? It would take place early on in Hogwarts, and it couldn't include a Love Potion; that would be sort of repetitive. It would also be a good one for everyone to write a chapter.
How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?
She seemed scared the whole time through. Most likely, Hermione was relieved once he was done alive and proud that he had accomplished the task. Seeing one of my best friends going through something like that would be torturous for me. And she panics and worries more than I do, so....

How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?
Yeah, I think she was just scared and anxious and hoping that nothing bad would happen to him! I mean, the first task showed just how dangerous the Tournament was, so I imagine that it would be pretty scary to watch your friend go through that, especially when he was so much younger and unskilled than the rest of the contestants. Not that Harry didn't know a lot, of course, but there's no way he could know as much as a 7th-year when he was only a 4th-year. So I know if I were Hermione, I'd be terrified of what could happen to him!

I'm sorry I haven't posted her in so long. I've been working eight hour days and haven't had any free time to get online.
How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?I'd say a mixture of all three. She was anxious and scared of what would happen to him. If he would complete the task unharmed or possibly get injured. She knew it was a really serious tournament. I think each time he completed a task she felt proud of him.

I don't really have time to reply to a question, so I'll do that when I get home. We're (my family) visiting family in another state, so we're pretty crazy right now.
One more thing: I got a puppy! She's only 8 weeks old, and she's a rat terrier/lab mix, and she's ah-dorable. She's white with black patches, and the sweetest thing ever. I wanted to name her Juliet, but my parents vetoed that, so I came up with the name Lucy. It kinda stuck, so...... Yeah. Yay for Lucy!

How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?
Like Chels said, definitely all three. Proud, because of Harry's success in the challenges, scared, for obvious reasons, same with anxious, and I'd like to add one. Ashamed. Not because of Harry, but probably because she was thinking that Harry wouldn't make it at some points. She might've felt ashamed because she doubted Harry.

I mean, aside from finishing her magical education (merely a formality really, seeing as all she'd have to write on a CV would be 'Helped Harry Potter defeat the Dark Lord' and she'd probably get the job) do you think there was anything else that made her go back? I agree with all of you on this one. Hermione is the type of person that has to finish what she starts, not to mention there is a lot more she can learn. Hermione is a sponge, the more knowledge she absorbs the better. I think she would have felt incomplete if she didn't finish. Besides, I'm sure she would love to say: "I'm Hermione Granger first in my class with top NEWTS across the board and I helped Harry Potter defeat the Dark Lord."

Yay! New posters! Aren't you excited, guys? It's awesome!
And first, before I answer some questions...
Hi everyone! Chels, I'm sorry you've been so busy but ... today's last day, yay! Duckie, you got a puppie!!! Aw! I like that name! I've got two dogs, one of them is really cute, her name's Lulu, and I recently got a virtual pup in MySpace, it's a Beagle and her name is ... Beedity-Babs! Dawn, thanks again for my sorting, I love my job! Cool, your husband's back, do you have plans for Valentine's? I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. Kels, thanks (again) for my sorting and for checking my fic; my official Patronus is a Ligus!
About the Valentine's contest, I've got my entry, but I think we should post our entries more or less close to the 14th, so the posts won't get lost and we all can see each other's stories.
How do you think Hermione felt watching Harry in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Scared? Anxious?I think the main feeling was fear, because she was one of the few people who really believed that Harry hadn't signed up himself to die; she was the only one who realised of that and that really shows the kind of friend she is. She must have felt that her best friend was in real danger and Hermione, despite she's always right, tries to go for the safe way even when that involves negative feelings; being on the Triwizard Tournament, even when Harry had wanted to, must have seem to her like something really dangerous and I'm sure she feared the worse. But once surpassed the dragon, she must have felt proud of Harry, because he showed a lot of bravery and nerve.

And I have a question.
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life?~Kel

Of course I've got my letter finished, but not checked, I hope you'll spare me. So here it is ... Happy Belated Valentine's to All! And... I'm so so sorry, I couldn't make it 100 words lenght!
My dearest Ron: How're you doing today? Looks like you’ve got a terrible toothache, might that be that your Valentine wanna-be is a hard prey? In any case, you should take an analgesic soon.
Perhaps you wonder who I am and why I chose to write you. I’ll answer backwards, if possible.
Every time I see you, my stomach takes a somersault. Whenever those pools of the purest ocean of yours fill me in, my heart bounces like a puffskein. The more your hands brush me past, my whole skin quivers in emotion. It’s been a couple of years ─ yes, years ─ by now, and I keep wondering … Will you laugh at me? Will you make fun of me? Would you hold my hands and tell me it’s been the same for you?
Obviously, I no longer care. That’s why I thought ‘why not’ to be quite reckless today and opening my heart.
In regards of my person … alas, you’ll have to find out. I’d like to say ─ gosh, how I’d love to say ─ I’m the same person you’re thinking of, but that be to sin of arrogance. Besides, you’ve left clear I’m a … nightmare, I dare say, to you.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Your friend,
RettO ehTYay, I hope you liked it!
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?Aw, I asked the same in the R/Hr thread but nobody answered, so here I go. I think perhaps Ron remembered it was Valentine's until the previous night, trying hard not to forget, but the next day, he no longer remembers, because ... he had an important meeting at the Ministry, so he leaves to work unware and when he come back at night, Hermione looks quite down and he slaps his forehead and runs to the closest shop to get her a lovely bouquet of her favourite flowers, and then he realizes ... that he is a wizard and could have make appear the flowers out of thin air

But seriously, I think Hermione must have planned the first Valentine's, and then he started surprising her.
What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life?Well, she could have been one of the nameless and misfortuned Muggles who perished in the times of the Dark Lord, but ...without Hermione, I don't think Harry could have a chance ... I mean, it's not that he's not capable, because indeed all the strenght, the curse of the prophecy, the bravery, are inside of Harry, but Hermione solved a lot of things that were of huge importance. How could have Harry sorted out the potions' riddle? He would have found out that the monster living inside the pipes of Hogwarts was a Basilisk once the monster had caught Ginny and he had seen it! They couldn't have gone backwards in time without the time-turned she needed for being so eager to learn! And in any case, Harry's hot head would have made him to kill Pettigrew in front of his past himself, which would have been terrible! And so on, so... Perhaps Hermione could have lived a happy life as a Muggle, but for the wizarding world, it'd have been awful.

Ahh! Sorry I haven't contributed here in ages! I've been so busy and completely forgot. I read your post Kel, about getting the letter up by today, and totally forgot until now. I hope it's okay that I still post at... 10:40.

Here's my letter:
Dear Severus,
How long it's been that I've admired you. Your knack for Potions has always intrigued my liking. If only our worlds weren't so widely diverse as they are! Then maybe we'd have a chance... I have cherished every trice we have spent together. Your intelligence and handsomeness is what catches my emotions by surprise; you can't imagine how much closer, within your reach, my touch, I want to be with you. If only my true feelings could be proven.
Just remember, my love will never dwindle.
Always,
Nettie
I think that's one of my best works, if I do say so myself. Just to let you all know, I'm doing a fanfic on Rose Weasley, and you'll be hearing from Hermione quite a bit

(for those of you who've already started to read it.) If you'd like to read, the links in my signature. Rose has a lot of Hermione in her.
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?Hmm, I can just imagine. I think they'd both be very romantic as they got older. I think that by the time the kids are in school, Ron would of gone all out on Valentine's Day. He would of gotten her some kind of beautiful jewelry, a romantic picnic, and some dancing. Hermione... I don't know what she would of gotten Ron. Ron's a hard person to get a gift for. I imagine him telling her "Your love is always a good enough gift for me, my love." Maybe it's just because of the way I imagine.
What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life? Why would they let this happen!!I think the story would of been severely damaged without Hermione. If she hadn't been a witch, I don't think she ever would of lightened up. Plus, Harry and the rest of the wizarding world would probably be dead because the Dark Lord would still be alive. Hermione figured out half the stuff that saved Harry; she impacted his life so much. And even if he had made it as far as he did in DH to the traveling around, if Ron really had left for some other reason, I don't think Harry would of made it.
Dessi, I love your letter. So cute! I'm not a huge shipper of HG/SS, but I thought this letter would be funny. I think I might post it in SOSS to see what Lisa and them say, hehe. They're all SS/HG mostly. Anyway, here we go....

Yay! Two contributions! And the winner is...
Kiersten! That was pretty funny, and cute. I'll talk to our avi designer about a prize, and send it to you as soon as I can.
Dess, yours was really sweet as well. I had a tough choice!
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?I think they probably went out to dinner somewhere. Hermione's arrangements of course. Ron would probably forget what day it was all together. Then they would spend the rest of the evening at home, watching a movie or reading or something. As for gifts, I would say flowers and sugar-free candies.
What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life?Well, Hermione would have turned out normal-ish. Went on with her life, graduated with honours, became an old maid... That sort of thing. (or so I invision) The wizarding world, not so good. everyone would be dead because Harry never made it through the potion room in the first book and Voldemort would have taken over. Everyone would be hiding in their cellars flinching at every noise because Hermione wasn't there to assist Harry and Ron in the quests. Actually, I had never really thought how much trouble everyone would be in if Hermione wasn't there. It really puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
On a personal note, I am going to Florida! We leave in the middle of March. I can't wait! As much as I love the snow, it will be nice to go somewhere warm for a little while.

Hey guys! I'm so so so sorry I haven't been on much at all! Just got done remodeling the master bedroom though! Thank goodness! Anyways, I'm back let's see...
CONGRATULATIONS Kiersten!!!! I read both entries and I can see why it was so tough for you to pick a winner Kel! Where in Fla are you going?
Okay some questions...
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?
I still see Ron being a bit clumsy and maybe trying to pull off something romantic and exaggerated and watching it kind of crumble. Hermione would think it was even sweeter and they'd laugh at his attempt and really enjoy the day with just the two of them!. Next year he might do something simple like a picnic in the woods where Hermione used to go camping with her parents.
What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life? I don't want to think of Hermione as just a muggle, but let's say she was...I think the story would have been a lot different. It's unlikely that she would have met Harry or Ron. The ending could have went drastically wrong if Hermione wasn't there every year to save Harry and Ron and keep them in line! LOL She would have been known for something other than an amazing witch but just as important. Hermione would excel in which ever life she was destined to live.

What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?
I think she would have got him something romantic, like a little teddy that's holding a heart, and also something practical, like a book of defensive spells or something.
They'd have a candlelit dinner in the garden and talk about all the great laughs they had at Hogwarts, and talk about their wedding day and their first kiss...

Yay! My writings must be getting better because not only have I been accomplished on here, but my English teachers also say I'm getting better. Thank you Kel and Dawn! Dess, I really do love yours.
Ellie, I agree that they would reminiscence on past years, especially as they got older. I don't want to even think about that.
Kel, Yay! on FL. I love it down there. I want to go down when the Harry Potter World opens up. My friend and I agreed we're stopping there on our 50 State trip after senior year, haha.

Kel, you didn't tell me you were going to Florida!!

Wow! That's pretty far from where you live! I went to Florida once. That was ..... almost five years ago. It was pretty fun. We went to visit family and go to Disney World. I enjoyed the break from the cold weather here, but I couldn't live down there. I'd die from the heat. You should stop in New York!
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do? Oh they'd probably go out to dinner together. That would be nice. Or maybe they wouldn't even go out to dinner. Maybe as a treat, Ron would try cooking for Hermione for a change. I'm sure Hermione would find that amusing.

Maybe she'd give him a nice card and I don't know what else. Haha.

Hey, everyone! Sorry it's taken me so long. I've been grounded for having a bad attitude. I know, shocker, right? Wrong. My heart's also been melted by my boyfriend, who keeps giving me so many loving words that I melt every time I get an email from him.

Good day. Anyway, congrats Kiersten! I've never been to Fla before, but have fun, Kel! I leave for Costa Rica on March 16. I'm so excited! I just got my passport today.
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do? I think that they would drop the kids off at the grandparent's house for the weekend, and then spend a romantic weekend in France. I can just picture them sitting in a little cafe right next to the Eiffel Tower in the city of love.

Hola Senoritas and gentleman. I haven't been here since new years day actually, and like everyone else I'm apologising my absence. There have been a lot going on in my life and in eurovision you see! So a lot to do, a lot to do..
What do you think Ron and Hermione did to celebrate Valentine's day? The kids are in school, and it is just them. What did Hermione get Ron? What did they do?
I can just imagine Ron completely forgetting about it, and then in the evening Hermione will casually mention it and Ron will be all:"Oh, crap". And then Hermione would say it is OK and just give him his present. The following day I'm hoping Ron would have pulled himself together and taken Hermione out for dinner as for saying "Sorry, I forgot Valentines".
Or maybe they'll just not celebrate valentines and instead wait for their anniversary or something.
What if Hermione hadn't been a witch? What if she was just a Muggle? How would that have impacted the story and her life?
The wizarding world would be doomed!

The Hermione-ette for February /09 is...
sadie_urlady523!!
Here are your prizes, courtesy of the amazing Dessi!
It's about time our fearless leader won it! I choose her for starting this great club, and being as loyal as she can (when not being grounded

)
Yay Sadie!
So, we're going to try this method of choosing Hermione-ette for a while. I will be reading posts very carefully and making notes on that. Let me know which method you like best
Now it's time for the March contest! I hope more people participate this time. It is simpler.
March-- Poem Writing
Topic: Write an
acrostic poem using Hermione's name. Use unique words that describe her, and try to be original.
Rules: You have until March 27th to write your poem. That's it. Good luck!
Prize: A special avatar with your acrostic on it. And the bragging rights of course

And that reminds me! Kiersten gets a prize for her winning the last contest! Here it is. I know you said it isn't your ship, but I was thinking you could have it linking to the post you made with your letter. Whatever floats your boat

I hope you like it!

Okay, so I know I just posted yesterday, but this question has been nagging me for a while.
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?
That made me think of:
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book?
And, for the fun of it, here's yet another question.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?

WOOHOO!! Questions!!
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?
I think she felt relieved and glad she was okay and probably a little worried about Harry and Ron. She must have wondered whether or not they figured it out.
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book?
They would have pieced the mystery right then and there. Hermione was on her way back from the library. She had the info on a piece of paper in her hand. If she hadn't been petrified then she would have been able to tell Harry and Ron everything she knew. Let's face it, those two need her help and when they don't have her around it usually takes them a bit longer to figure things out.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?
Wow! There are so many so I'll name two...her intellect and her undauntedness

Congratulations to Kiersten and Sadie!!!
You poem was really good, Kierst, but even so -- don't leave RHr for SSHr!!!

(No, I'm not kidding, though)
And Sadie, you were supposed to be one of the winners long ago, so congrats and you deserve it for having given us such a nice club

(I hope the avie worked for you eventually)
Kelly, what a nice idea of a contest! I'm afraid I have no idea whether I will be able to write something or not, for I'll be ... madly busy, I suppose, or maybe I won't, but I won't have time anyway. But people, post!
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?I think she felt horrible, and she woke up vomiting words and advices and sorry's and confusing words, until someone shouted her that the Basilisk had been killed and everybody was fine. I think she must have felt sorry because she didn't reach his friends to tell them about the Basilisk and also really afraid.
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book? What do you mean, " be done with the book"? If it's what it looks like, CoS couldn't have been any shorter, so I'm glad she was petrified if that made the book a little longer! I think she must have went down with the guys to advise them and all, but then Harry left her with Ron down there, because he wouldn't want his friends to go with them or something and they had to keep an eye on Lockhart. But otherwise, I don't know...
What is your favorite trait of Hermione? My favourite trait is that she always leads everything she says to the books she's read, which is awesome because books are awesome -- books rule the world!
I found two girls, one in each career, that also wanted to study Translation just like me and are so English crazy just like me, so yay! I know that had nothing to do with anything, but I'm glad. (despite of the challenge -- I had never been challenging because I had nobody to beat in my field, haha. Even so, none of the girls or anybody I know has translated a whole book, so ha!

How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?
Incredibly nervous about whether or not Harry and Ron had managed to find out about the chamber without her, and if anything new had developed. I don't think she would ever have guessed about Tom Riddle and Ginny being taken to the Chamber. She wouldn't have even know that it was all over. She would have been immensly proud of Harry and Ron once she found out about their heroic deeds though.
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book?
If anything, it might have taken more time. After all, Harry and Ron only visited Hagrid and found out about Aragog and then Moaning Murtle because Hermione had been petrified. Hermione only knew what the monster inside the Chamber was. They would have figured it out eventually, but without the key piece of information about Myrtle, it would have taken a while.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?
Her passion. When she really believes in something, she'll drive it through (think of SPEW) and I think that's truly inspiring.

Hey, I'll be totally busy for like the next two weeks. So I want to get in a quick post before that happens, which means I may not have my poem in for a while.
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?Freaked out. I mean, she wakes up in the Infirmary, but then finding out it was how long later? So much stuff had happened. I'd be pretty wacko.
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book?So quick. Hermione would of been there and be able to tell Harry and Ron what had happened. Though, Ginny wouldn't of been almost dead by then. So it might of taken a little bit longer to know how to deal with the book.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?Perseverance. She will set her mind to something, and it might take a couple tries, but she will get her job done. And if in doubt, go to the library!

First off!
Congratulations Sadie!
Three cheers for you!
And second, those avies you made were beautiful, Dess! They're both so pretty and remind me of spring for some reason!
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified? She probably would have been .......... like crazy! She most likely started yelling at the top of her lungs that she found out about the basilisk and that everyone needed to be warned. And I'm sure she was scared that something might have happened to either Ron or Harry.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?I agree with mugglelovrspew: Perseverance. She always tries hard no matter what's going on. Nothing can get in her way to stop her when she has something she needs to do.

I'm a terrible Hermione fan because I haven't posted in here for the longest time! Congratulations Sadie for becoming the Hermionette. I'm glad you won. And congrats Kiersten for winning the Valentine's contest. It was another good piece of writing that you did!
How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?
Really terrified for what was happening to Ron and Harry. She had no idea where they were, if they had figured out her clue, or if they were even alive! She was probably worried sick about them.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?
How she doesn't procrastinate. I wish I didn't procrastinate half as much as I do. I'm not terrible, but compared to Hermione, I'm terrible. She is always on top of things, and the first day she gets a homework assignment, she does it. This also sort of goes along with what Kiersten said. Perseverance. She gets things done.
If she hadn't been petrified, how quickly would they piece together the mystery and be done with the book?
I think it would've taken the same amount of time. They actually figured it out really quickly so it probably would've been close to the same amount of time.

How do you think Hermione felt when she woke up after being Petrified?
I think she would have felt really confused, but would feel worried for Harry and Ron when she figured out what she was doing in the hospital wing. I think she would then feel really proud and pleased that they figured it out.
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?
Dedication. She finds something she feels strongly about, and goes through with it, no matter what obstacles she faces.

I have time, well actually I'm making the time, to put my poem in. Here it is, and I hope you like it.
Honorable
Enjoyable

Ingenious
Optimistic
Nurturing
EnthusiaticI tried.

They do make some sense, some of them do. I'm not very good at poems. Well, we need some more questions. If I can come up with any, then I'll let you know. Oh, wait, here's some:
We know Hermione and Ron had Rose and Hugo. Do you think she would of wanted anymore kids?
Do you think Hermione was happy with her marriage all through her life? What would of been Hermione's biggest regret as an adult, do you think?

I like your poem, Kiersten! Come on guys! I'd like to see some more entries!
What is your favorite trait of Hermione?
My favourite trait of hers would be her loyalty. She stuck with the trio for the whole time, and helped her friends every chance she had.
We know Hermione and Ron had Rose and Hugo. Do you think she would have wanted anymore kids?
I don’t think so. Two is a nice number, and Hermione is very practical about things like that. Maybe later on she might have wanted more, but two for one time seems like enough.
Do you think Hermione was happy with her marriage all through her life?
I think she was. I hope she was. There would be the fights that every couple has, but she and Ron would have kissed and made up.
What would have been Hermione's biggest regret as an adult, do you think?
I don’t know. Maybe... Aargh. I’ll have to think on this one.

Great answers, everybody! I think that pretty much we all agree that the best trait of Hermione is perseverance, which is brought by passions.
Thanks, Chels, I really enjoy making avies and I'm happy when I see them displayed!
Lovely acrostic, Kierst!! I had written one, but it wasn't an acrostic
poem, so I might not be taking part in this one contest
We know Hermione and Ron had Rose and Hugo. Do you think she would of wanted anymore kids? No, as Kelly said, 2 is a good number of kids to raise; lots of children involve too much time and I bet Hermione loved working and keep learning, and she definitely isn't the kind of leaving their kids the whole day with their grandparents at all, I think she wouldn't be pleased to have her children away from her, since she couldn't raise them. I think 2 kids are ok.
Do you think Hermione was happy with her marriage all through her life?Well, as a fervient Romionian, I bet so!

I believe she is, because both she and Ron changed and matured enough through their later life as to be able to have a happy life together.
What would of been Hermione's biggest regret as an adult, do you think?I don't think she ever regretted something, she might have regretted those little mistakes she's made at the moment, but later, she realized that there were nothing too serious that was her fault. Perhaps she might have regretted deaths, just as everybody, but then... I can't think of something else.
