I agree with you guys on this one. I think 2 kids are perfect for Hermione, although I think Ron might of wanted a few more. He's from a big family and could possibly want one of his own. I don't see Ron making a big deal of it thought. Being the second youngest and often feeling left out, He was probably content with two.

I can't see Hermione leaving her kids with the grandparents all the time either. Hermione is very "hands on" and loves being involved in different things. I don't think her kids' lives would be any different. Two is easy to handle.

Speaking as a married woman, marriage is HARD. It's something you constantly have to work at. You give and you take and compromise is key. I'm sure Hermione and Ron had their difficulties and arguments but I absolutely think that over all, Hermione was very pleased with her marriage and her life with Ron and their kids.

Hmmm...I don't think Hermione would have many regrets, seeing as though she thinks things through thoroughly! The only thing I can think of, is she might regret not telling Ron EXACTLY how she felt sooner. In my opinion they missed quite a bit of time during Hogwarts when they could have been together.

But, then again, they weren't as mature then as when they were when they got together. So that could have hindered them in the long run. It's hard to say what she regrets. The only other thing I can think of is maybe not saving someone she thinks she could have saved and not being able to let her family completely in her wizarding life.

I don't think she was a Mrs. Weasley. What I mean is that I don't think she wants seven or a lot of kids. I think she is good with two kids. Especially with the way it is situated: one boy and one girl. Sometimes it helps when it is exactly like that because you can have father-son time and mother-daughter time.

Maybe not plucking up the courage to ask Ron out sooner. She would've know in hindsight that it would have saved them a lot of fights and speechless weeks. Especially since she knew that Ron also liked her. I am pretty sure she would just be happy that she and Ron eventually got together, married, and had children.

I do. I think both she and Ron would have wanted more than just two kids. I can see both of them being really fun parents and enjoying having a large family.

Yes, I think she was. She and Ron were meant for each other. I'm sure they had their tense moments, but they would always get through whatever the problem was.

I hope she does a better job than she has been. I haven't really been pleased with her performance since PoA. She was better when she was younger, so I really hope she's better in HBP.

Chelsea, I do agree with you. She really stayed to the study side of Hermione during SS and PS, but everything was more emotionally and not as much studious like it could of been ever since PoA. It makes sense that it just could be the directing job and the script, but it's partially the actor's or actress' fault, too.

One thing I will state again that I've stated in my own common room is that they need to make Emma's hair more bushy! Hermione does get prettier as she gets older, but Emma just is a little too pretty for me.

I agree with both of you on this one ( Chelsea and mugglelovrspew ). But Emma is Hermione Granger in my eyes, I can't see anyone else playing her...with that said, I wasn't to pleased with the performance in OotP. Granted I had quite a few problems with the movie period but Emma's acting was a little awkward at times for me. I do miss the studious...always running to the library side of the character.

Nonetheless, I think Emma will still do a pretty good job in the last 3 films. As long as the script and directing are up to par. I agree that it's the fault of both sides.

Also, going through puberty and being a teenager is an awkward stage for some young people. So she could have been going through some awkwardness from just growing up and of course some of that was depicted on screen. I still love her as Hermione though and I think she'll be even better now that she's matured.

I think she will do a phenomenal acting job! Things like being more studious and and motherly aren't actually in her control though. That is the director and screen writer's/writers' doing/s. While I do hope that her Hermione will be closer to the book Hermione, I won't reprimand Emma if it's not. It's not up to her, so I will blame whoever did make the choice. If the movie Hermione is spot on to the book Hermione though, no harm done, and everything is great!

I think there were rough points as in every marriage, but that she and Ron worked through them. She seems the kind of person who would of thought through her decision before marring Ron, so I don't feel there would of been big regrets.

Well thats how my story is going anyways, I am writting a sequel starting with right after the war and leading up to the 19 year later epilouge. It has alot of twists and turns, ups and downs, and things u wouldn't ever think of.

Hmmm I don't think she would have really thought about that after having a girl and a boy. I mean it's the best of both worlds in a sense. But I think she would have loved her children so much that it wouldn't matter about having more because Hugo and Rose would have been enough. She would be happy with what she has.

Oh goodness, who knows. I think there may be times when shhe gets exasperated with Ron but in the end she married him because he loves him. I mean, every relationship experiences some form of problem or another. But all in all I think she would have been happy.

But, I don't think she would of wanted Ginny's situation, to where Rose was the only girl, and the kids were spaced out so much and everything would be insane, but sort of like the burrow, which is where I wish I lived all the time away from the dumb place. Anyway, it's just a matter of personal opinion.

I've already answered these questions, but I still think Hermione would have been fine with 2 kids. With her career more than two might have been a bit much. Especially since Ron would be very busy with his job as an Auror. Ron may have wanted more than 2 kids, since he's from a large family. But I think he would be happy with 2 also.

Well, I think if Hermione hadn't created SPEW at all, then she wouldn't have gone on, and only then I'd say that maybe she had got involved straight with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, or also, it'd be interesting if she took a job in the Department of Mysteries. Even so, it must have been an area when logical and rational inteligence is needed, for she wouldn't have got involved, for example, with something so abstract as the Veil.

DeSs...I thought the same thing you did actually. If Hermione wasn't involved with SPEW after school I think she would have went head first to where she is now. The Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement. Hermione wants to make a difference...what better place than law enforcement and with her skills, I see her moving up fast! Her stance in the ministry is to fight for the equality of mudbloods and half bloods. To have the same advantages as pure bloods.

DeSs...believe it or not I was going nuts trying to find a word for the "N" in HermioNe. I went through the dictionary and nothing felt right to me. So I thought of "needed". Hermione was needed through out the series. Her intelligence was needed, her calm nature was needed and most importantly her love and friendship was needed. Harry and Ron wouldn't have made it through a lot of the rough times with out Hermione. They needed her.

She could have been almost anything, to be honest. Anything that requires logic and intelligence. And so many things do! I think that she would have made an interesting Auror. I have a feeling that due to her rational, logical brain, she would be able to figure out the motives behind a Dark witch or wizard and how to find them. You know, like be able to kind of "step into their mind" and figure out what they would do in thus-and-such situation.

I also think that she would have been a marvelous inventor. I think that she could bring both magic and Muggle knowlege to the fore and combine the two. It would make for some really neat inventions!

I'm thinking that if she hadn't started SPEW in Hogwarts, she would of eventually started it once she got out. She would be a great activist; I'm not sure if there's a specific job she could of gone into there or not. But the way it was stated makes sense: the Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement is a perfect place for Hermione just because she likes to make people equal.

By the way, I have a question for you all for a fanfic I'm writing. Can any of you think up of a good pet name that Ron would most likely call Hermione? I'm seen 'My and a bunch of others, but that's the only one I like. But I want something different. Help?

I was just thinking, well most people called her a know it all at some point or another, which was obviously offensive to her, so what would be a name she could laugh about? Actually, now when I think on it I can't think of any she would approve. More stuff like Bookworm and Gopher pertaining to the teeth before the incident in GoF where she had them shortened.

I don't know. I kind of do like "Bookworm." Something to do with her love of books. Hermy the Bookwormy? I don't think she'd like that one, but she could like something along those lines maybe! At least, if the people calling her that were her friends.

I think appearance affects your personality, if you actually care. Hermione went to smarts because as a young girl, she was not though as the stereotype of "pretty" or "beautiful", and thought of using her brain instead! I'm thinking that if she had been a blond and a 'skinny minnie' than she might not have focused as much on schooling. But her parents probably would of made her anyway, just because they were intelligent themselves.

I'm pretty intent on a really simple play on her name, like Mione, Mia, or Hermy as the wonderful Grawp would say. Nothing really fancy, because she is a bit touchy sometimes, so I think just a really simple nickname would work for her.

I am not sure who said it, but I do think she would've become some kind of rights' activist. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else. Must be the 4 hours' sleep catching up with me.

I agree with mugglelovrspew. I also think that looks do effect your personality. I have a friend who is really smart, but because she is blond people stereotype her as such, and now she's constantly flirting and worrying about how she looks and her grades are going down. I think that had she been blond, thin (not saying she isn't), and really pretty,she might've been more popular, therefore not becoming friends with Harry and Ron, and she probably wouldn't be so focused on her studies.

Update on my life: I sang in the regional music competition, and I won so I'm off to state! Other than that, not much going on.

Well possibly. It depends on your character, whether you let your looks get to your head and end up all vain. Personally I think that because Hermione started out as someone with not the best of looks but certainyl not the worst, this drove her further into her studies. People who aren't viewed as being good looking tend to throw themselvess into something such as studying to prove to themselves that looks aren't everything and they are right.

Possibly. More or less I think it's all in the character. Therefore it doesn't matter how she looked character and personality would have been the same. She would be the same old "nerdy" I guess you could say (not literally) amazing Hermione as she always has been so.. She could be (pardon me for this) extremely ugly and still be the same old Hermione!

As many have already pointed out, she is so smart she can do anything she wanted. I feel she'd be really good working in the Department of Mysteries. Things in there need a smart mind to finish inventing them and make them work. She could do that.

Well, normally I'd say yes, but considering that I have a friend who's really cute, a lot of boys like her, and is extremely smart, I'm going to say that this is a probably not. Also, people judged her based on her being a muggle born at first, not the fact that they didn't find her pretty. We can also look at Lily was very pretty and had one of the hottest guys in her year chasing after her, yet she still remained top of the class. That, to me, proves that Hermione can also do that: be beautiful and smart.

First, let me say that it would be plain awesome if Hermione went to my school! I think she and I would be best friends because we have much of the same personality. Knowing her, she'd also want to take as many classes as she possibly could. I think I'll take a stab at that schedule.

I know it wouldn't be "Burning cualdron of love." I know I probally messed up the title of the song. I just know Ron wouldn't won't that song at his wedding. Becuase of having to put up with it every Christmas. I am not sure what song they would have, but Hermione would be the one to pick it out. Ron would have nothing to do with the wedding. He'd just follow with what Hermione said. Maybe The song would be "L-O-V-E" by: Nat King Cole.

I really like My Heart Will Go On, but I think it's a little too dramatic for a wedding. Celine Dion does have a lot of good love songs though. Well the school I am at she would have to take a TABE test which is reading (you must get a 567 to pass) and math (you must get a 566 to pass), of course she would pass on the first try. Mind you this is a test you take when you first get here and if you don't pass the first time you must take it 90 days later until you pass.

Then there are CPP (Career Prep) classes, there are 4 of them. Again they are manidtory! Then you must take mini-courses; which consist of Diversity, Parenting, and like 5 others (I can't remember them right now) and they are all a week long. Mind you all of this is before you can get into your trade.

I believe she would be in HOT (Health Occupations Training), because she likes to help people. This trade takes 6 months to a year to complete.

What would Ron and Hermione's song be at their wedding (the one they dance together to) ?

here is my submission for the April Contest!

I believe Hermione would love all the attention to detail and the time with her husband, when it comes to going out on an extravagant date with him. Now of course Hermione is simple, but she still likes the finer things in life.

I see Ron sending the kids over to Harry and Ginny’s house for the night; he will pick them up the next day. Once the kids are gone; he cleans the house, gets a bath ready with candles lit and romantic music playing, and set out a brand new dress, necklace, bracelet, earrings, and shoes.

She gets home a little while later; Ron meets her at the front door and takes her without a word to the bathroom. She seems the bathtub filled with water and smells the sweet sent of her bubbles. Again without a word, he leaves her to take her bath. Meanwhile, he writes a note,

Put this on and be ready when I get back. Love You!

He takes his broom and finds a place that is as beautiful as Hermione is to set up a wonderful picnic. He puts spells around the picnic to where one you can’t see it from the sky and two no one or anything will mess with the food. He gets back to the house and Hermione is nearly in tears and is wearing the very beautiful outfit that Ron bought for her.

“I love it honey, but where are we going?”

“I can’t tell you or else is won’t be a surprise. Now get on the broom and put this blind fold on.”

She did as she was told to do, while Ron changes into a tux. He got onto the broom once more and Hermione clung onto him for dear life. After a little bit

“Hermione take off the blind fold.”

She gasped when she saw the most beautiful field in all of the wizarding world. It is a field of moon lilies and named such because when it is dark the lilies glow like the moon.

“Merlin’s Beard, this place is beautiful.”

They had just walked upon the very invisible picnic,

“I hope you’re hungry.”

Instantly he took the spell off the food to display a very romantic dinner with a stereo. With a wave of his wand, the stereo burst into life with very soft, romantic music. They ate, drank, and danced until the sun was just about to come up. They went home and drank and danced some more until the collapsed on the very comfortable couch, where they slept.

And I am going to say that you all have good classes to take in high school. I believe that Hermione would probably like your schedule, Dawn. Compared to what we have, it's way better. She would like the Mock Trial because she could state her opinion. Then again, it could be pretty stressing. Hmm...

Thanks mugglelovrspew, I think she would love Mock Trial too. I know I did. There's a lot of preparation to present your case in a real court room, with a real judge and attorney's as the jurors. I think it's right up Hermione's alley. Arguing her points and persuading others.

AP American Lit, AP Physics, Law, Honors Government/economics (she loved Ancient Ruines and History of Magic).

Teachers Aid (she could be teachers pet all she likes), AP Cal/Trig, Mock Trial (she could voice her opinion in was she never thought possible....get S.P.E.W. really going.),Creative Writing (she could get her very creative juices flowing).

Well, I'm in middle school yet (until next year!), but I'll still use the best of my classes...

Hour 1: Advanced Algebra
Hour 2: Language Arts (Includes grammar, reading, writing, etc.)
Hour 3: Science/Chemistry
Hour 4: World History (Includes ancient civilizations... my favorite!)
Hour 5: Human Health
Hour 6: Foreign Language

As you can see, we don't have that many good classes...

Anyway, about my crazy life that no one probably wants to hear about but that I want to blab about anyway.... Whew that's a mouthful!

OK, first, I strained my vocal cords just days before state (which is tomorrow), and I'm just barely over it, so I'm pretty nervous... I guess it's my fault for being stupid and singing an opera aria and hitting a high C (pretty darn good for an alto) without warming up properly... Second, I auditioned for the school musical! I actually got the second biggest part in "Cinderella" besides Cinderella herself. I got the role of the evil stepmother... Heehee! It's so fun to play! Third, one of my best friend's dad (who's like a second dad to me) just went off to Afghanistan, so please keep him in your prayers. Fourth... I've missed you all so much! It's so nice to be on Veritaserum. And in the UHFC! Thanks you guys for all your support here.
