What do you think Hermione would have seen if she had looked into the Mirror of Erised?

Knowing her, she'd probably see herself winning a huge award for being really smart! Just joking. She might see Ron and her married, with Ginny and Harry standing behind them. The reason I say that is because that is a way for her to know everything will be OK.

I think it all depends on what point in her life she saw it... Maybe (not in a specific order) she would've seen herself marrying Ron, having many supporters for S.P.E.W. or even passing her O.W.L.s with straight O's.

Thanks, Dawn! I did OK, I guess... I went without singing for a week because of strained vocal cords (over training) so I kept cracking when I did sing. I got a second place, and I was just one point away from a first! Oh, well. I was the only eighth grader to make it to state this year, so I'll be a shoe-in next year... I hope... And thanks for your prays, Dawn. I really appreciate it, and so does that family. OK, I'm off to read a few more pages of "Leaves of Grass", and then I'm off to my band concert!

I think it would be her graduation, like Kel said. She'd have lots of awards. But Ron would be standing with her holding her hand, her parents would be standing next to her and Harry would obviously be there too.

Depending on the time she faced the Boggart, I think she would see herself failing her classes and maybe even Ron or her parents hurt or in peril. I do like in the book when she faced the Boggart.

Okay, a couple things to post. First, I'm still going to post for the contest, even thought technically it's 43 minutes late, for me anyway, but.

I think Hermione would want Ron to give something heartfelt. Sure, jewelry, flowers, and chocolate would be nice, but it wouldn't be original. She married him for many reasons of course, and the ones he has that relates to this is the fact that he has such a caring heart only for her and the sweetness and innocence. Monetary value would mean nothing to her on this, and she would just want a romantic evening together, to be with him. An anniversary is something that should be a reminder of why you married someone, not necessarily gift giving. Gift: love.

100 exactly! There, and I used my own personal opinion as well. But Hermione and I are so much alike in so many ways, I have a feeling she might agree with me on a lot of this.

I feel she would of seen, at this point in her life now, her family accomplished, healthy, and in good will, as well as herself. Hermione would of been fully accomplished and with Ron and her children, in all their intelligence and glory. If she was still at Hogwarts, however, I feel in her younger years, she would of seen herself completely superior in intelligence, more than she already was, to everyone else. Later on, she might of wanted to be graduated, but maybe with Ron at her side.. And probably Lord Voldemort completely gone with Harry there too, along with all her friends and family.

Hermione was an only child of two reasonably well-to-do, well eductated people (both dentists). Growing up, she would have evolved into a "partnership" role with her parents as such children often do when they are well-behaved and not a problem. She would thus have been consulted on and included in family decisions very early in her life. She might also have been insulated from much contact with other children her age. In other words, her parents would be friends and companions moe than parents. Being thrown in with kids her own age of diverse backgrounds and in such close quarters as a boarding school would have been a quite severe adjustment for her to make. In the books, she makes this adjustment quite well.

I'm glad you asked this one Kel...Like all of you I think it depends on when she saw the boggart. While in school I think it would be like exactly what she saw...failing her classes and hearing that from one of your favorite teachers, not to mention your head of house (McGonagall) would be even harder to take in.

Seeing a boggart in DH, I think she would see the trio fail, maybe even die and Voldemort rising to power indefinitely. Having all their efforts and those that have given up their lives, be all for nothing.

I think she would see herself standing next to Ron with a couple of kids around them. Hermione would be dressed in full dress robs and a funky hat, symbolizing her graduation. On her dress robes would be a shiny star for every class that she achieved honors in (All of them of course).

Hi, nice people, I'm back for now. Been awfully busy studying and stuff, or either online in hours I couldn't type... So, I'm here. And trying to find a my favourite romantic playlist ever, btw, but... anyway, I love all of those.

I agree with someone (I'm sorry, I have been peeking through the week, even when I couldn't post, so I don't remember everything) who said that it depends of the time we're talking about. I could have a try for a time-mirror

1st year: She, wearing the prefect badge and holding the Annual Prize plus more prizes, like Special Services or Best at Transfiguration, happy, also shoving all her OWLs and NEWTs, with Harry and Ron at her side congratulating her and laughing, and also her parents, very proud of her.
2nd year: Probably the same, because Voldemort wasn't a menace yet, but perhaps she started to foresee a better future for Muggleborns, so maybe she could have fantasized with her working for the Ministry.
3rd year: Same, but maybe without the Ministry scene added, and instead, just she and the guys finishing school and Ron hugging her, meaning they were together.
4th year: Definitely she and Ron together, and I bet she imagined Harry and Ginny together too, and Voldemort defeated.
5th year and 6th year: Same, but Voldemort gone forever and the Ministry changed.
7th year: Well, a better future in this new world, her relationship with Ron blooming, and her family and all her beloved ones safe and happy at her side, she also finally graduated from Hogwarts and with an awesome job.
In her adult life: Her children happy, attending to Hogwarts and with good grades, playing with all their cousins, her family together, she and Ron together and happy, and a better world forever

(Oh my, I'm listening the Hallelujah from Shrek, by Jeff Buckley, and ... it's so touching, now I'm thinking of the Mirror of Erised! )

It also depends of the years, but... I'm not doing the same again, lol. At school time, her Boggart will be related to the one she couldn't defeat in her exam, but later, I think it'd be the same as Mrs Weasley's, because ... that's the main fear of every woman in danger, I think.

I definitely agree that it changes as she grows up! Maybe in her first--third years, it would have been failing everything (although perhaps in CoS, it would have been Lockhart telling her that he didn't want to give her his autograph? ).

I think that as she grew up, her Boggart grew up with her, and became more and more adult topics. Hermione's very complex, and I think that a Boggart would have had a hard time picking what to be, to be honest. It wasn't so simple anymore as just her "failing everything." Of course, when she got married, she could find out that her hubby was in an accident, or that one of the kids was hurt...that could have been her Boggart then.

Wow this is the first time posting here. I have pondered around reading posts, but never have I bothered to post. This thread is so big, so intemidating! I guess I have been to scared to post. I hope I am not rejected by you lovely Hermione lovers.

What do you think Hermione's Boggart would be?

Well I have a few suggestions. If Hermione had spotted a Boggart while cleaning out her attic in the muggle world. It would suddenly turn into the city librarian telling Hermione that her library card has been denied. Hermione would forget the spell and start sobbing all over her sleves. Then her dad would walk in to find out what the fuss is about, and find the librarian turn to face him. Then turning from the lidrarian to a small child with terrible teeth. Soon Hermione would relize it was just a Boggart and turn around to use the spell against the small child. A few minutes later a owl would come flying through the attic door and dropping a Howller. Hermione would be cuaght for using spell outside of school, but not charged on the account that she has perfect grades.

The other thing that the Boggart might would turn into would be herself. Hermione would be awoken in the night. She would open her eyes and place her arms in the spot Ron would be if he wasn't on a business trip. When she'd hear a noise coming from the bathroom not to far away infront of the bed. Hermione would peer through the half opened door to find someone leaning over the sink yelping like a small dog. Hermione would jump out of the bed and slowly walk towards the bathroom. She'd open the door a little more, to find herself that is leaning over the sink. Hermione would then race torwards herself with wand raised high, thinking that someone had used some polyjuice potion. Soon to find out that herself was yelping over the sink looking at a positive pregnancy test. Then Hermione would freak and colapse on the cold tile, and weep with fear. The next morning she'd wake and open her eyes to find Ron leaning down to pick her up. They'd talk it over and come to the point that a Boggart had cuased the whole fiasco.

May I be the first to welcome you to the Fanclub, Loony'sCool! Of course you'll be accepted in here, along with all the other crazy Hermione fans. You're answer to the question was very thought through... and interesting as well. I'm curious to the fact of why you think Hermione would be fearful of a positive pregnancy test, as she has two children. It's so detailed! (Sorry for the way I qouted this) Well, this would be before Hermione even had two children. Ron was away on a business trip becuase they had just got married not too long ago and needed to earn some money. He would be gone for a week tops, Hermione was worried becuase they had just gotten married three months earlier. She has many thought on "What if I get pregnant," "I wouldn't be able to handle it." Knowing that the night before Ron left, they shared some love (Thats the best way to put it). Knowing that the protection had broke, she is completely worried. (A mod will be editing my post soon, but it was the best way to put the, you know, parts.)

I don't remember if I answered this one, but I agree that it would depend on when she sees it. I think her boggart could be anything from failing her classes and not being successful, to failing her loved ones and Voldy ruling the wizarding world to inevitably seeing all her friends, family die. Basically loosing everything.

So I got this idea for a question from the House elf thread. It was a remark made by Loony'sCool.

First off I would guess that McGonagall would be stepping down as Headmistress of Hogwarts and need to find someone who will fill her spot. McGonagall would visit a few people she knows would be exellent at running this historic school. First to visit would be Hermione Granger. McGonagall would of had Hermione's name at the top of her small list concerning the schools new Headmaster/Headmistress. Since McGonagall knows Hermione is an outstanding young girl, ofcourse she'd be on the top of the list.

Although Hermione would have a tough choice to make. The same choice our wonderful Dumbledore had too make. Hermione's hard choice would be between Headmistress of Hogwarts, or Minister of Magic.

Becuase indeed Shacklebolt has had Hermione on his list for Minister for some time as well. Shacklebolt for sure knew that Hermione was the brightest young witch he had ever met. Also knowing that she knew every law and procedure. He would had visited Hermione to ask her to take office.

I would guess that, on this faithful evening that McGonagall was heading for Hermiones house, Shacklebolt would be doing the same. Funny really that the two would bump into each other right infront Hermiones doorstep. Rose would answer the door, Hermiones voice in the background saying "What have I told you about answering the door!" then shock appearing on Hermiones face when she see's the two people she'd never think upon seeing on her doorstep. She'd shake their hands and welcome them in for tea. Ofcourse as the McGonagall, and Shacklebolt follow Hermione and young rose to the kitchen for tea they'd noticed signs painted with the word "SPEW" on them, stacked beside the wall.

Shacklebolt would let McGonagall go first. McGonagall would ask Shacklebolt to please leave the room and play with Rose for a few minutes. There in the kitchen Hermione would receive the most exilerating news ever! Hermione would be so excited. But then Shacklebolt would ask for privacy and talk to Hermione also. Hermione would then be torn between both.

She'd love to be Minister of Magic so she can change many of the laws concerning House Elfs, and the other crazy laws. But then she'd also want to be Headmistress of Hogwarts. Oh what to do she'd think. Hermione would desmiss her company and call Ron at work. Ron would ask to meet Hermione outside the Icecream shop at Diagon Allley, since Ron was too busy with customers at Wizard Weazes (I think thats what it is called?)

Hermione would decide Headmistress knowing that it was to late to rescue the Ministry. McGonagall would be intirely pleased.

But ofcourse many changes would be made! Hermione and Ron would go over their finances and sorts, then agree on something. They'd buy the shreiking shack! Fix it up really nice, so They could live right next to the school.

Ron would then talk over some stuff with Goerge about leaving the shop. Goerge ofcourse would do something bold. He would buy the old Zonko shop and turn it into a Wizard wheazes. So then Ron could be near home with Rose, and Hugo. Well at least with Rose since Hugo would be at school with his mother.

It would be the first in history of Hogwarts that a Headmistres/Headmaster would leave post at nigt and live outside Hogwarts school. Hermione would stay home at the shack during the night.

I bet your wondering "Will it be safe at night?" Well ofcourse it will. McGonagall wanted to stay at Hogwarts and teach her old job. McGonagall would never want to leave her home (Hogwarts).

Hermione wouldn't really change much with the school. She would infact allow Houase elfs to come and share the learning experience. Also giving the Kitchen Elfs pay, and vacation, health care etc.

Hermione would also change ssome grading things. Students that make Poor, Dreadful, and Troll on their OWLS, or NEWTS will be allowed to join a summer program at Hogwarts to re-learn the subject they fail and be given the test once more in hopes of passing.

Not only would Hermione bring those few changes to Hogwarts, she'd also bring Spice! Since she'd be the youngest witch to ever be Headmistress of the wonderful school. Picture it now Headlines acroos the magazines and papers "Hermione Sexyest Headmistress Hogwarts has ever seen!"

Hermione would definitely make the living situation better for the house elves that work at Hogwarts and make it possible for them to study magic if they want to.

When it comes to studies and grades, I see Hermione being a bit more strict than McGonagal. Hermione is all about studying and good grades, she'd want her pupils to excel at their greatest potential.

All in all, I think she'd make a great headmistress and minister of magic. That would definitely be a hard choice for her to make.

I definitely think that she would first off, change the conditions for the elves, like Dawn said. I am rereading GoF right now, and I am on the Chapter where they are on the Express. But I love how Hermione was already standing up for elves at the age of.. I guess 14, almost 15.

She would also make sure that the studies come first, and probably that the OWLs and NEWTs scores go up quite a lot. They are important to her. I think she would make an excellent headmistess.

Well much of the Wizarding community would be jumping with plans for Hermione's Birthday bash. Since, infact, Hermione is famouse due to her hepling save the world. Hermione would shun all the people pushing idea, insted she would have a small party. This enchanted evening would take place in Hermione and Ron's backyard.

Guest List:
Harry, Ginny, Lily, James, Albus
Luna (Rolf, Lorcan, Lysander would be at home since they don't really know Hermione)
Goerge (The kids are sick, so his wife is staying at home)
Mr. & Mrs. Weasley

Well, this birthday party occurs when she's still in school, that way I can think of something.

It's Hermione Granger's fourteenth birthday! It will be held in Hogsmeade, just outside the Shrieking Shack (the birthday party planners thought that she would find the location nicely appropriate, after the events of last year), and these are the guests:

Harry Potter (party coordinator)
Ron Weasley (assistant party coordinator)
Fred and George Weasley (entertainment)
Neville Longbottom (decorations)
Parvati Patil (fixing the decorations Neville messes up)
Lavender Brown (music)
Seamus Finnegan (assistant with music)
Luna Lovegood (party "soothsayer")
Padma Patil (for emotional support to her sister, after dealing with Neville)
Colin and Dennis Creevey (so they don't whine about not being invited)

This is a SURPRISE birthday, so keep your mouths shut about it around Hermione or prepare to be jinxed! We are not kidding! And we've learned a lot, so don't think we won't use them!


At the party, Hermione will be blindfolded and brought to in front of the Shrieking Shack, where everyone will shout SURPRISE! Then the birthday cake will be brought out. Dobby made it himself...with only a little help from the house elves. That's why it's in the shape of a giant sock, with red and purple stripes. He assures us, the coordinators, that the cake will taste good, anyway. The house elves have also prepared some other food that Dobby will bring with him (even cookies that say "SPEW" on them!).

Neville, with the assistance of the Patil twins, will decorate the area with plants that he has borrowed from Professor Sprout, as well as crepe paper and other decorations picked up from Hogsmeade. Lavender has every Weird Sister song ever made, so she will be in charge of playing them during the party, and Seamus will assist her. Luna will set up off to one corner, where she will...well, say weird things mainly. She says that Professor Trelawney has been teaching her little Divination tricks, so we'll see how that plays out. Fred and George have been working on several mysterious things and while we're not sure quite what they are, we're guessing they will be amusing.

As for the presents...this is what everyone said they are getting Hermione:

Harry~A new copy of Hogwarts, a History and a catnip mouse for Crookshanks
Ron~A bottle of Sleakeazy's Hair Straightening Potion
Luna~A year's subscription to The Quibbler and assorted books on Nargles, Crook-Horned Snorkacks, etc.

Hello everyone! I haven't been on in a while... sorry... been kinda depressed. I hate stupid guys like my now ex-bf. Anway, on with the party!

I think that because her birthday is during the school year, everyone would decorate the common rooms in S.P.E.W. and Happy Birthday Hermione banners. Now for presents!

Harry: A book that Dean told Seamus who told Padma who told Luna who told him that it was a good book that Hermione might like.

Ron: A big box of chocolates and flowers, because he's been studying up on how to treat a girl!

The Parvati's: 5 Wierd Sisters albums, along with all the most popular fashion magazines.

Fred and George: A box of exploding snaps, along with some confidential presents that will not be shown until later that night, when there's no chance of teachers coming....

Mrs. Weasly: A nice knit sweater in hot pink with a large purple H on the front. Oh, and a box of fudge.

Mr. Weasly: A box of bolts, screws, and rubber ducks.

Hagrid: A book on "monsters", or as he calls them, "angels".

Luna: Radish earrings and a year's subscription to the Quibbler.

The Creevy's: An autographed photo of Harry. (of course, the autograph is forged)

Neville: A book on Herbology, so they can have an intellectual conversation on magical water plants.

Dean: Bertie Bott's every flavored beans: about what seems to be a year's supply.

Hey Hermione fans!!

I was just reading the home page and I'm a little upset with something! Emma Watson was told by producers to tone her photo shoot down with W Magazine. The magazine wanted her to do something a bit risque and the producers said..and I'm not quoting exactly...They said that until the HP series is over Emma is still school girl Hermione Granger.

Well, I'm confused...didn't our beloved Dan Radcliffe star in a play where he was TOTALLY naked?!? Forgive me if I'm wrong...but this doesn't seem fair. So women can't be risque but men can? Interesting....Tell me what you guys think of this...

Yeah, you're right there, Dawn... I agree in some way,but in other I don't know what to think. This is my opinion: on one side, of course they couldn't have prohibited Dan to make Eqqus, because it's a work and that would damage seriously his career. They didn't tell Rupert that he couldn't make Cherrybomb because of the sex scenes or anything. And I'm sure that they wouldn't ban Emma of doing a movie or something when she consumes drug or appears naked. But doing a photoshot is different, and none of the guys did it. But here appears the personal decision of the actors that for me comes before the WB: Emma has said she doesn't like people think of her as sexy, and that she feels awkward playing the sexy girl. She also has said lots of times that she wouldn't play a risque or out of control character just to get off Hermione's shoes. Then... does that mean what, that she's a contradictory person, or that that doesn't apply to photoshots? That's the part that puzzles me. On the other hand, that photoshot must be too risque if WB didn't allow her to do it, because the Sean Cook (I think it was; I've uploaded too many pics of her as to remember ) shot was a bit too sexy for the 'school girl Hermione' she still is.

I am very happy you brought this up Dawn. I was completely taken aback when I read the announcement. Dan gets t go on stahes naked when Emma can't do some cover shoots that are a bit risque. I think it is a shoot down towards women. I have never understood why men treat women like there nothing. I am a guy and I treat women equally to us. I go by something I saw off of Daddy Day Care, "Men can do what women can do!" I go by that with these things. Men can do what women can do and women can do what men can do, a bit confusing but every body needs to go by that. Just like how I have a garden, people think it makes me a sissy, but I don't think gardening is a bad thing for men to do. Sorry a bit off topic.

Now Dan should of been told to turn down the things in his play! I was shocked when I was searching for pictures of Harry Potter last year, and a image of Dan naked poped up in my results.

About what everyone has been talking about- First, I was disgusted about Dan being in Equs. I think it is horrible that he was in a play like that and had no problem doing it. I'm glad they didn't allow Emma to do that photoshoot. I can't believe she considered it. So many girls look up to her and for her to do something immoral like whatever they were going to have her do would be terrible. Like what Dess said, if WB stepped in, it must have been pretty bad. I'm glad because for her, she didn't do something stupid that could damage her life, and for me, so my view of her isn't tainted. As much as I like Rupert, because he was in those movies with the trashy scenes, my opinion of him has been lowered. Dan as well. It always makes me sad when stars I admire do something immoral, so I'm very relieved WB told her not to.

Okay first off, great birthday party ideas, from all you. I am not that creative, or I would of participated. So.. along with the topic going on., that makes me mad. I wasn't a HP fan yet when Daniel started in the play, but once I became one, I was curious as to why he would do it. I haven't seen Cherrybomb, so I can't necessarily say anything about it. I have a split opinion about Emma, though. I mean, I know she's growing up so she might be changing her mind about what she's doing, but then again, you don't want her Hermione career to be ruined by 1 one wrong mistake. So.. it just all depends on your opinion, but I don't believe it fair if they let the boys do something that they won't let Emma do. What is it with some men?

Whether or not I think she should do a risque photo shoot, I still don't think that it's fair of WB to refuse to let HER do that, but Daniel can do a nude play, and Rupert can do trashy sex scenes. HELLO double standard! I mean, those could be "good for her career," too, I don't think they can use that excuse.

Your all reading my mind! To clarify...I wouldn't want Emma in a risque photo shoot any more than I wanted Dan naked on stage and Rupert in trashy scenes. But like Eisa said...it's a double standard! Emma Watson is old enough to make her own decisions. She's an adult and to have other people dictate what she can and can't do isn't right.

Most stars usually go through a photo shoot like that. I doubt they would have showed her private parts...we aren't talking playboy here...it was a woman's magazine. And you're right Eisa, it could have been good for her career

So Dan can be completely naked on stage...many times! There are pictures and posters of him naked...I think that's worse than being on a cover of a magazine. And Rupert could go ahead with trashy scenes in a movie (A movie that I didn't see mind you). But Emma CAN'T do a photo shoot? Did we just go through a time wrap? Are we in the 50's?

I think that she would try to talk Emma out of it, but that she would fight on her behalf for her right to do it because of the inequality and sexism of the situation! I don't think Hermione would like it very much, that a woman would want to do a risque photo shoot, but I think that she'd fight to the death ( ) for Emma's right to do that if she so chooses, especially when her male coworkers can do things even more "risque" with no consequences.

I don't think you guys interpreted well my reply. What I meant is that a photoshot, a sexy photoshot, is nothing in my opinion that might be useful for your CV as actress, if that's what you want to be in a future, or even good if what you've tried to support the whole "I find embarrassing being sexy" thing. This photoshot we're talking about must have been really risque if the WB had to interfere to keep Emma's image as Hermione. We've already seen photoshots with pictures such as this, this or other that, yes ok, it's not too risque but enough if she was still playing Hermione (I mean, of course not, she shouldn't, the WB doesn't consider any of the actors as stuck of their characters), and in some adult attitudes.
In the case of Dan and Rupert, maybe Eqqus is way too much for the guy who was playing the most welll known wizard in the world, and maybe Rupert played sex scenes that were strong as well, but it's their career and the WB cannot meddle with that. Emma let clear that she wouldn't play a risque character just to step out of Hermione's shoes, but in the case she wanted to, the WB can't do anything about it.
So, there're two sides or points of view here. Beyond the fact of that whether you're ok or not with the actors' future roles or not, it's not a man vs. woman thing, it's a common sense thing. Would a photoshot do anything worth as to bet someone's image?

I don't think Hermione was a feminist. I let that clear in older posts and therefore don't want to do the whole thing again because it's late here, my keyboard barely works, I don't want to contradict myself and I'm tired of thinking all the day. But I think Hermione would be outraged by Emma's contradiction. She wouldn't play a risque character, she doesn't want to be labelled under 'sexy', but she does sexy photoshots?

On the other hand, despite that rumour has been spread all over the network, let's face the truth: it might be an awful rumour, once again. Emma recently did the winter campaign for Burberry's next year collection; months ago it was said that she didn't want to do it becase she complained about not being the first amongst the models. Not so long ago all the buzzing websites said she was a moody diva. Is there real facts, real witnesses, people who know her and can tell the truth? No, everything's rumour, so let's not judge on the air

Eisa, I'm thinking on the same train of thought that you're on. I don't think Hermione would like the idea of Emma participating in a risque photo shoot, she might try and persuade her not to, but I do think that if Emma is being treated unfairly that Hermione would defend the principle. And that being sexism and inequality.

Dan's play and Rupert's movie role may have advanced their careers, but so can a photo shoot. To me a photo shoot brings out different aspects of someone's look and personality. When you audition for a movie, commercial, etc...one of the first things you hand over is a photo of yourself and a bio on the back (usually). Some big shot producer, picking up W Magazine and seeing a risque photo of Emma on the cover could be awe struck and realize she's perfect for the "next big movie".

Actors and actresses have been doing photo shoots like this to further their careers for years. But because they wanted Emma to remain the school girl Hermione, that is so reserved and scared to branch out in an intense manner, the producers freaked when Emma chose to.

Like I've said, I don't agree with risque photos, however; if your an adult then it should be your own choice. I find it disturbing that the producers of Harry Potter put the stops to the way the photo shoot was supposed to be. If the pictures ruin Emma's career...then oh well! That's a choice she would of had to live with. But they could have helped her career too.

In regards to her comments about not wanting to be sexy...when did she actually say that? A year ago? A few months ago? Right before the photographer said "Strike a pose"? Emma might not want to be labeled as a sexy girl or some sex symbol and I applaud her for that, but taking risque pictures doesn't necessarily mean that's her objective. Sometimes we do things for ourselves. Maybe Emma Watson needed to come out of her shell a bit or maybe the offer was just to enticing. Either way, (In my opinion) it should have been her choice and hers alone.

I feel Hermione would be, as Eisa said, persuading Emma out of the shoot, but she would find it so aggrivating that there was a double standard in today's society. I mean, are we seriously back to the early 20th century again where we as women have to fight for our rights? I think she wouldn't necessarily get too mad if she couldn't convince Emma out of the photo shoot. She would be more worried and devoted to stopping this kind of inequality and sexism. Nice question!

Yay! I'm back! Thanks so much, everyone! I did really well (even made a few people cry... ). I also got an award that I wasn't preparing for. The Outstanding Choral Student Award. It goes to the best choir member in the school, and it gives you a $400 scholarship to a music camp of your choice. I'm going to one where the teachers are professional musicians, and you get 2 hours of group rehersals everday, and a full hour of one-on-one time with a teacher to help you improve! I'm so excited! AND I got asked to sing the national anthem at a local baseball game! Whew! I'm so pumped!

Enough about my totally exciting life right now...

I definitely think that Hermione would've supported Emma. She seems like someone who would be all out for equality, and I think that, although she may not have personally done the photo shoot, if Emma wanted to, then by golly she should! I think that she would've been VERY angry about the sexism of the situation. Seeing how adament she is about elf rights, she would be very concerned for her own sex as well. I'm a big feminist, so this might just be me talking about what Hermione SHOULD think, but I'm pretty sure that thats how she WOULD think... Any thoughts?

Hmm...I think Hermione would stay at the ministry and do all she could. The ministry would be the best place to have a chance helping other wizards and witches. But I don't see her turning a cold shoulder to those unlucky ones. I think Hermione would give what she can to those in need.

For example: After work she'd go to soup kitchens, clothing drives or even public demonstrations. She'd be protesting with everyone else, while still fighting to keep her job at the ministry in hopes of making a difference.

To me Hermione is a humanitarian. Is someone needs help, whether it's a witch or wizard or a creature of some kind, Hermione would do what she can to make sure they have justice and are taken care of. Whether it's being loud and vociferous or by doing something personal that wouldn't make headlines. She'd help anyway she could.

I think Hermione would do all she could, trying to show people how they could work together better and help the community. I don't think that, if she showed good enough ideas, that the Ministrey would fire her, unless they had a stupid minister again like Fudge. He would probably try to deny them being in a depression. (Sorry, I just got done rereading OotP, and I forgot my renound hate for Fudge until now. )

I think that Hermione would've stood her ground at the ministry (hey, those elves need help in a depression, too!) and tried her hardest to keep her job. I think that because she is such an intelligent witch and an asset to the MoM ('scuse the abbrevitation) she would be kept "onboard" and would be eventually given many different roles in all kinds of departments. I also think that because she is such a wonderful person, she would've worked for less money than before. (I'm pretty sure she probably has a lot of gold stored up from working all those years in the MoM before! She could've saved up enough to keep her family afloat.)
