I'm a night person for so many reasons. First, bright light gives me a headache. Also, it is nice and quiet, and there is usually a nice cool breeze. I find the noises of the crickets to be very relaxing, and they usually come out during the night (mandi has had a couple of crickets come in the house lately, it's funny to watch her jump every time she sees one

) I also like to drive really fast, and when it is late enough at night, the streets are pretty empty and I can go pretty fast without having to worry about anybody else

I do not jump at EVERY cricket...just most of them

and we should start a thread about crazy drivers that scare their gf's half to death

<----That is me when you are driving.
Anyway, I'm more a of a night person as well. It's so much more peaceful, and it gives me time to relax and think about stuff rather than hurrying to get things done like during the day. The night is also just so beautiful.

I am a night person, because it is all quiet. Also that is when it is the coldest and I like the cold, so that is another reason that I like the night.

I am definitely a night person. I can write essays that are due tomorrow on the night before at 2 until whatever time. I can stay up late, but I can never get up in the morning. When my family went to Hawaii, we went with this other family whoes dad is this big morning person...we got up so early, well, early for me....I lost so many hours of sleep from that week! So, I love to come out during the night!

Hmm... I
love the night during summers. It seems to be a time to get away from everything. Even when people are around I'm feel isolated coz they're all sleeping.
I love the time of day when it's like, 5-7 am (NOT during school days, sometimes its nice and relaxing to wake up early) and 4-5 pm when the weather seems perfect. (Here in the Phils. at least.)

I am very much a night person. I can't sleep at night very well at all. I also stumble along at school and work grumpy and exhausted cos it's too bright in the day. But come the shadows, and I am seriously awake. Insomnia is awesome.

Well, mine is really messed up! My medication makes me really tired, so when I get home from school I have a little snooze.... Then, I go to bed quite early anyway, but I can't get to sleep then. In the morning, I'm really tired. You'd think if I'd had my full 9ish hours, I'd still be OK, but I spose thats just the way it goes...

after the burial, I think that's pretty self explanitory.
Well for myself, I feel that at night when all is usually peaceful, I can get more accomplished, such as reading or writing. I tend to be one of those people who stays up until about 3 or 4am everynight.

I'm definitely a night person. It's my one time of day all to myself. It's quiet and relaxing and I can get things done that normally I wouldn't have time to during the day, or I can just sit and read or watch tv. It's my time to unwind from the day. I'd probably go crazy if I didn't have my little moment of utopia!

I am a total night owl. Days are for sleeping, nights are for partying! During the school year, I have to get up at six, which I hate, but in the summer I get up at eleven and go to sleep around two. The night is so much more fun because I feel like I am alone and I can do anything, while during the day I feel like I'm surrounded and I hate that feeling.

I like staying up at night, but the majority of the time I can't, I have to get up at like 6:30 most mornings, but on those two days off a week one of the main things I look forward to is staying up to the wee hours and not caring about getting up early!

I would stay up all night and sleep all day (If the sun would stop shinning in my face!!

) I get most of my work done at night, during the day is when I normally fall asleep in class, or something like that. On the weekends I look forward to staying up all night, but my dad puts a time limit, ON THE WEEKENDS!!!!!! I can only stay up until 12!!!! I'm talking crazy!!!!!!! Even during the summer I have a time limit of 12.... but my mom doesn't care, I stay up until 3 when I'm at my moms house....

I hate mornings. What does that say?
I love darkness! I love driving in the dark, like when there are no lights or other cars. I love it! Besides, the light makes my eyes hurt. It's too hot in the day, and there are too many people. During the night, it's quiet. There's a sense of peace during the night. And the darkness is comforting in a way. It's soothing.
Besides, the night is so pretty. The moon, the way the stars light up the sky, the way the occasional beam hits something and illuminates it, yet leaves the darkness wholey untouched. Darkness is so pretty! And the night is cool, specially when the days reach 105 F a day! It's far too hot out! Specially when I think 50 F is hot... But, the nights are colder, and there's so much more to do, yet you have to like being alone, which I do.

I also hate mornings, but I am always tired. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. is my best time of the day. And from 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. is also a good time.. between those times I feel really tired, depressive or angry..

I agree with everyone!

I'm not being dumb I'm serious, I don't like waking up very early yet I do it and my mind is fresh, but at night my imagination gets a boost and I'm creative at night like... 1 am 2 am but I normal sleep early like at 12

Mornings have it's benefits same as night. It's all a matter of adapting like we humans are use to

Well I'd have to say both day and night. I'm just not a morning person. In the morning I'm really sluggish until i step outside into the freezing cold. Talk about wake up call! lol But for most of the day I'm fine. But school hard to get through. Well just the boring classes *couch chinese cough*. And I don't do to well with really late unless I'm doing something fun. Like the new years dance or staying up til for on April 15! That one's easy because it has to do with Titanic!

Well, I'm both. I love night but I love day also. I hate it though that I have to sleep cause that's when I normally think of a good stanza for poetry or something. But the part of the day I like most is the morning where everything is quite, calm, and peaceful so that I can think. I also think a lot during the night also. I usually have something on my mind 24/7. If not, then it's not normal for me.

I'm probably more of a night person - I stay up until 3am (even when I have school the next day) because that's when I get the best inspiration for my fics, and also, since most people are from America or somewhere around, they don't come online until 2-3am local time, so I like to be on VTM when there are a lot of people on!!
But I usually wake up at 8am on a schoolday, and at the weekend or in the holidays I'm in the until 11am at the earliest

I'm definitely a night person. At night I can learn better than during the day, because it's much quieter at home. And, of course, I love sitting in front of my computer's screen at night. It's more fun. But then, getting up early for school is a nightmare. So I can be an 'owl' only during holidays, weekends and so on.

It really depends on the season and weather for me, if its a clear sky during the day or night, I'll like both just as much as eachother .. so long as its warm

I'm quite a star gazer actually, I'm probably more of a night person because of this as I've usually gone to bed about 5 every morning when its been clear outside. I've actually started writing a short story now, and I've been able to concentrate better on it during the day, which I don't get as I remember doing all my homework during the night ... guess it depends on if I'm enjoying what I'm writing or not

Next up though, gotta write some songs, maybe writing during both day and night will get one song to sound completely different halfway through, who knows, but I'll hopefully be able to post something here in the next few months and see what you all make of it

Hmm . . . Am I a night or day person? Good question.
I seem to vary with each day

One day I’m so awake and busy that I’m so tired I fall straight to sleep at night. But other days I can stay up for twenty-four hours with work and then a party then have three hours sleep and still be wide a wake
Lately though I seem to be staying up late and that’s got to have something to do with the fact it’s the summer holidays

Night.
Hands down.
For example, it's 3:41 AM here, and my friend Sam and I are planning on being up for at least three more hours. Thankfully, it's summer holidays, so I can get away with it.

But, I tend to stay up until 5 am, sleep until 8, wake up, and do it all over again. I don't like sleeping, I have far too much and far too little time to get it done in! Even during the school year, I tend to stay up quite late. I do all my homework at night as it is, I still manage good grades, just at... different times. (:

Night all the way. I dislike sun and heat, while I enjoy candlelight and quiet. I also appreciate the calm atmosphere of the night; when walking my dog at four or five in the morning everything is so calm and quiet you hardly dare to speak.

I'm a night person... I don't like the day because it is way to hot. I like having a tan but i don't like being sunburned.
I usually stay up most of the night and don't sleep much because i have nightmares... i don't know why! It is scary to go to sleep most of the time. And lately, i have been having dreams about men coming into my room during the night... so i don't like sleeping.
I like staying up reading.
Or I will just sit up in my room thinking.
The night is just really peaceful and quiet. I think it is pretty.

I have to say i'm a bit of both.
A 'filthy half breed' as Umbridge might say...
On the one hand, nothing can cheer me up than a lovely summers day, spent outside with my friends.
One the other hand, nothing can put me in more of a pleasant state than walking down the street on a calm night, breathing in cool night. That really relaxes me, that it's so peaceful and quiet.
Kind of figures seeing as I do usually spend half the night sleeping and half the day sleeping, and then half the day awake and half the night awake.
Because being normal is boring

Im both, so basically I never get a healthy amount of sleep. During the summer I usually stay up until at least 3 and I like to get up between 7 and 8 in the morning. I've gone to bed at 5 and woken up of my own free will at 8. I can go for a little over 48 hours without sleep if I have a coffee about 36 hours into it. I dont like sleeping, I feel like I'm wasting away my summer when I sleep. I like to get all the stuff I want to do at home done early so my nights are always free to go out.
During the school year I generally go to bed from 11-1 and wake up at 6 because I go to school over 30 minutes away from my house.

Night Owl here

I stay up very late.. don't get much sleep. I know it's not healthy, but I can't. I was told by a friend I should go to the doctor, but there's not much they can do, haha. I just have more 'important things' on my mind that keep me up.

Agreed and same here. I don't drink coffee either, so I'm curious that if I got into the habit of drinking it, how long could I stay up.

I tried to stay up 24 hours the other day.. Fail. I got 20 1/2, haha.

I don't drink coffee either...unless it's a french vanilla coffee coolatta from Dunkn Donuts.
With that said...I'm a night person...I always have been. In high school my friends would get very irritated with me for sleeping in so long and I still do it till this day. If I'm up before 10am...I'm very grouchy!!! I hate waking up...
