Definitely a night person. It is the only time the house is quiet so I can sit down and write. But to be more specific, I'm probably an evening person. Usually, I go to bed at 2:30 am and wake up at 10:30 am. I'm so glad university is flexible and I can schedule my classes for the afternoon rather than mornings. I was late almost every day during high school.

100% Night person.
When I first started out on this forum, I usually stayed up the whole night posting. More than 65% of the posts I have right now are during the really late night hours.
I only do it because I usually lose my sense of time. And is it just me, or is time going really really really fast for the last three or so years? I feel like I graduated from middle school just yesterday. Anyway, to cope with this...I feel like staying up later makes time go slower, so I can enjoy life and settle down.
That and my parents go to sleep the time I'm up. That way, I dont have to hear them nagging "Oh, you stare at the computer too long!". Sorry, it's just annoying sometimes >_<

Definitely a night person. There have been times where I'll look at the clock and be shocked to see that it's 8 in the morning and I haven't slept (right now it's 6am, but it's the weekend.) Most of the time I have to try and force myself to go to bed earlier (3 would be nice). And, hmm, reasons I stay up. Well I find it relaxing. I'm all alone, I can play counterstrike or post my thoughts on forums without being interrupted. I like the quiet of night, so peaceful, and I definitely agree with the "slowing down time" thing.

I'm a night person. It doesn't matter how tired I am, 'cause when it goes dark outside I'll wake up.
.. And I like to sleep all the day.

I just don't understand when you guys manage to sleep if you're up all night. Don't you have work or uni or school or something in the day? God, I get some spectacular headaches if I don't get my sleep, not to mention I'm about a million times worse than Snape in a *really* bad mood if I don't get at least eight hours every night.
Having said that, I sometimes stay up until quite late because I seem to get most of my ideas after midnight when I'm writing, but even then, I have to call it a day at about 2.00am. I just don't understand how you guys can function on so little sleep, not to mention how you don't get sick.

I don't get sick unless I'm riding on less than 5 hours of sleep. 5 is my regular number of hours, but if I get less than that I'll sleep through all of the meals the next day.

Night person, stuck in a daytime world. I am easily distracted by noises like the 4 ton trucks that roll past my window and flatmates dropping what sounds like a crate of china plates. Night time, is when I get most of my work done.

Well, I think I`m a night person. In my country people say "Obicham da eba devstveni putki", which means "The truth always walks alone in the night". From my point of view, the truth is always hidden, and you have to walk into the shadows to discover it.

Oooh... this is an interesting thread... yap, another night person for you.
Usually it's simply because I like the silence that the early morning offer (no phone calls, no doorbells, no aunt calling out your name every half an hour, no meals break, nothing interesting on TV... it's just you and the night). It is during that time, my mind is at peace and I can think properly, finishing my work and so on. I do get sleepy around midnight, but if I hold on and stay up pass that, I won't be sleepy until 4am or somewhere there. If I have anything to do early on the next day, then I'll sleep early when I get sleepy around midnight. If I don't, I prefer to stay up late.
I'm doing my dissertation research now. So, my schedule is rather flexible. But then, as Oliver had said, when I wake up late, I feel like loosing half of my day with sleep so, I'm trying to fix it right now. And seeing that I can't really do that when I start working, I'd better start get used to it from now.
Uni life is almost over. When I start working, I'll be waking up before 7 like most people and go to sleep by 11 like most people...

YoLiPoLee, therefore you're more of a day person, since you like to sleep !!!
Ok, now me: In three years I've changed a lot, I mean a lot of my habits and also my personality have changed. I you would ask me three years ago what I like better, I'd say day. But now..gezz..everthing's changed. So as you probably know I'm a night lover. I just like to surf the net, sometimes to 3 a.m. Also since I started to go to all those rock concerts (now that my parents let me) I'm able to stay up to 5 p.m without being tired. But then I sleep to 2 p.m. Also I've got this strange habit...I hate sun! isn't weird? I always close my curtains, even in day...I just hate when the sun's rays fall into my room.

I don´t know, I guess I am more day person, I go to more places during the afternoon, but somethings I also go out at night, like going to the movies, ot things like that, but besides that I´m a day/light person, I get sleepy easily and I don´t think I can be around at night for a lot of hours

just Christmas, New year and other parties.

Oh definitely a night person, for sure!! I'm most awake 10pm onwards...I only get to sleep about 3 in the AM most nights!!
During holidays, with no need to set the alarm, I'd sleep through the morning and only come to around 12/1 in the afternoon hehe

That being said, this semester is a total bummer for me because all my classes are early in the morning... *grumble*

I don't know which I am, I kind of go through phases depending on what I’ve got on. For months at a time, religiously I’ll be the first one in bed in our house, but then I’ll do a complete switch and will stay up half the night.
If I've any work to do I’ll either get up really early as that’s when I tend to get most of it done, but probably also because I’m just too lazy to do it the night before,

and so I’ve done quite a few all nighters when deadlines are looming. I always feel terrible about half way through the next day when it hits me.
So probably over all I’d say I’m a day person at the moment at least.
I've no classes before 10.15am this semester, although as I live about an hour and a half away from my Uni I still have to get up early to make it on time.

Night person defendly. Why I'm a owl kind of gal?
When I discover the potter fandom, that's when I lost my mind. My mom don't know what to do with me.

One time I saw a owl in the day time here in the winter. Is that normal when owls do that?

Night person. Though, I'm forced to get up at 6 am on a daily basis. I still stay up past midnight most nights. If I go to bed early, I wake up every half hour until 3 or 4 in the morning
On weekends I sleep til noon, and stay up till 3 am. If I don't work for a week, I end up staying up an hour later and waking up an hour later until I'm up from 4 pm till 6 am. I once spent a whole summer in high school without ever seeing the sun, except to rise and set! (I was the palest person in Nevada

I think I'm a day person, I absolutely hate the dark. Which is really embarassing but I can't help it. But I can never sleep at night for hours, I just sit there, with music on, trying to think of happy things... it never really seems to work. So I'm not really sure what you would call me

mimolachuck is most definately a night person.
i tend to stay up until about 12 or 1 every night. i would go to bed later but i have to wake up at 7 a.m. for school. i don't know why i'm a night person, i just sort of am. i could stay up all night if i could. actually i do sometimes. the latest i went to bed was 11 a.m. once. that was fun.
well, my parents hate my night hawk characteristics because i'm very noisey when i come to bed and i wake them up. but i would hate it if they ever gave me a bed time. they did once actually, because it was a form of grounding, and i sat in the middle of my room for 4 hours until they were asleep then i snuck downstairs.

I am a night person. However, I have the blessing (or curse however you choose to look at it) of being an adult and I have to get up in the morning to work. So I look forward my weekends 'cause then I get to go undisturbed until 11 AM. Of course when Sunday night hits, you just Monday is gonna rear it's ugly head.

i'd say night, its when i either stay up till 3am doing assignments, or 3am partying- which is more silly than you know, i don't drink! so i'm sober for the whole 6-7 hours, surrounded by drunks!
but i'm a day person too cause that's when i see friends and family!

them's the funnest times...

I'm a night person as well which is funny seeing as my better half is a morning person. I go to bed about 2-2 1/2 hours before she wakes up and get up about an hour after she does. I usually get 4 or 5 hours a sleep a night max usually closer to 3 and about 6 hours a night on the weekend.

well im a night person definantly, which is rather difficult cause i have to go to work at like 8am, and i tend to stay up rather late. like now im on vacation, and im staying up till like 4am, and wakeing up around 2pm. man is that gonna suck when i have to go back to work. my body will reject the daylight more then it already does.
im a night person im dead in the morning, then later in the day my body wakes up finally after working on autodrive all morning. lol.

Close but wrong mrs who. I'm a full time grad student, and I have 2 jobs. when you do the math it comes out to something like:
Class: 15 hrs a week
Research: 45 hrs a week
Church: 20 hrs a week
Other job: 30 hrs a week
Writing: 15 hrs a week
Sleep: 30 hrs a week
Online
Counseling,
Tutoring
and chat: 15 Hrs a week
Total: 160 hrs a week
That leaves me about 8 hours a week of other time.
