As the main page Bookshelf has not been updated in about year or so, we on the forums staff thought we'd try to add something to this section of the forums.
We are now accepting submissions for book reviews.
When you are considering which book to review, keep in mind the audience of Harry Potter. Since we are a Harry Potter site, it might work best to review books that appeal to those who love the HP series. As the fandom for HP is so vastly varied, you've got plenty of choices!
In your review, please make sure you have the title, author, length, intended audience, list price, publisher, series (if applicable), your rating, average rating, and genre of the novel. Please make sure your submission is properly formatted. (Take a look at the side-bar here for an idea of what we're looking for.)
Take a look at either of the reviews in the Bookshelf forum for an idea of what we're after.
Reviews should be detailed while not revealing any key plot elements. Reviews should be free of grammatical errors.
You may send your submissions to me or etphonehome.
We will select two reviews a month to feature in the Bookshelf area. Anyone is welcome to comment during the month the book is featured, and at the end of the month, we will archive the book review to make room for a new one. There is no time limit or deadline. If we select your review, you will be notified via PM and instructed on what to do.
Do not open any threads in the Bookshelf area without permission.
Do not use the bookshelf area to simply comment on books you've enjoyed. We have a thread for that which can be found here.
