Ok Bloomsbury.com has added a countdown calendar for the release of Half-Blood Prince. When you did put your mouse on the 14th, and click, a special window pop up. In that window was a picture of a carving in wood with the word 'Harry 'and underneath is a heart shape with an arrow through it. Harry hearts who?

The Letters it could be are C G O Q . Maybe S. But most people are saying its a "?" But then why hide it?

So what do you think? Is it Ginny or ?. I think its a "G" but i dont know

I dunno....I think it's impossible to say really. I mean, there's obviously a rounded character in there but that could be anything....

Having said that, if you look at Harry's name, which should have rounded 'R's, it doesn't. Anyone who's ever tried cutting someone's name into the bark of a tree will tell you that it's impossible to cut rounded characters, hence they've sharpened the 'R's in 'Harry'. By that logic, it can't be a rounded character at all and is probably nothing significant whatsoever.

It's a pretty long name though...to warrant such a large shadow.

A long name like.....Hermione, perhaps?

bet it was a question mark before the thought about annoying people further by making it look like some other characters.

I am somewhat incline to believe that it could be 'G' for Ginny but then if look at it closely... the rounded character is placed exactly under the sharp edge of the heart... and I thought, if a person could even care to carve his name and his 'partner' on the bark of the tree, wouldn't he at least make sure it aligned properly... meaning that, the rounded character might not be the first letter of a name so to say...

If it's G for Ginny... it'll be out of centered aligned symbol... so... nah...

Hermione could be a good choice... for the O in her name...

Honestly, I think that there's no name under Harry, just a little sign to drive us readers crazy about what letter can be!!! It's a real possibility!
Anyway, it seems to be a long name...

Come on! Where's Luna? Yeah, I know, the curved letter. "n" is pretty curvy though.

Or, it could be just a lump in the picture. I don't think it look like an o, or a n, it sorta looks like a g, but not really. Your biase toward your shipp could be creating a picture you want to see. Which is probaly right.

Actually, looking at it again, it doesn't look much like a letter at all....it looks more like a symbol, like the heart. Maybe it's not a name at all and JKR is just enjoying torturing everyone.

What about the symbol for the moon perhaps? As in Luna?

BTW....I've just had a thought.....is it possible that Luna has some kind of a connection to Lupin? Seems a bit of a coincidence, them both being connected to the moon like that, doesn't it? **shrugs**

It's either Hermione or Ginny. But i think it isn't a full name...i think it's just the first name's initial and if it was i'd go for Ginny. Anyway, i'm not taking this thing seriously because i think it was only for Valentine's day so obviously, Bloombury's theme for their valentine's is Harry's 'little' romance in HBP. Well, i don't know if it's true, but i don't fully believe it.

I'm convinced now that it's just a question mark.

I think it depends on the font that you see "Harry" is written in.

It's all caps, all intersecting lines are intersected- lines do not stop once it reaches the end...that's all I can get unfortunately, lol.

But for me, I'm most convinced that it is an S from dazzo's picture. And that the S is the first letter.

Why? Because he light hits more of the letter/symbol's left side...and you do not see the top of any other letters/symbols that might be there. The right side is completely dark, so you can't see anything.

And if I'm right, hey...zyra's last edited picture could be highly possible
