Welcome to VTM, for those of you who are new!!!!
Hi everyone! I'm so sorry it's taken me a while to do your careers. I've been sick and re-modeling my master bedroom. So I've been supper busy! But I have some time now and I really don't want you guys to wait any longer. So here it goes...Thanks for being patient.
emmie_teax00, I agree with you, I don't see very many negatives to being part of the wizarding world and being able to lick you elbow is a good and unusual achievement. (I just tried it and was NOT successful LOL)

So your job...since you like working with kids and you have an interest in the medical field I think working as a
Healer at St. Mungos is perfect for you! You'll be on the Ground Floor:
Artifact Accidents. Here you will basically be taking of Cauldron explosions, wand-backfiring, broom crashes, etc. All the good things that young witches and wizards learn to become accustomed too. Have Fun!
MagicTrioFan11,Congratulations on the honor roll! That's so awesome keep up the good work. You receive the Hermione Granger seal of approval.

I have found your perfect job...with your love for animals and wanting to work with the wild puts you in the
Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. There are 3 divisions (the Beast Division, the Being Division, and the Spirit Division). You'll be in the
Beast division to protect and enforce the laws for the so many creatures we have. Stay Safe!
Aira, I love your words (dream, create, inspire and discover.) That's awesome that you think that way and I'm very impressed with the money you raised to feed starving kids! And good luck writing your book, It can be tough though as I am currently going through it, so don't get discouraged. Just by your favorite words, I think you would be awesome as a writer. So you're a
writer for the
daily prophet and also do some
freelance writing, like a biography...similar to Dumbledore's biography ( just not mean and full of lies). Happy Writing!
Rhani, your stealthiness, aggressiveness ,perseverance and intelligence will help you in this career. Wanting to manipulate minds makes you perfect for the
Obliviator position. Here you can erase the minds of others and create new memories in place of the ones you wiped out. I hope you enjoy your career!
EdwardCullensGirlfriend, I don't think laughing to much is a bad trait. Laughing is actually healthy for you.

I too love Twilight and feel the same way as you

As for your career...something creative. Hmm... How about a
painter. Someone has to paint the motion paintings in Hogwarts and all over the wizarding community! So let your creativeness explode onto your canvases!
Lol

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
I don't have an exact favourite, I like a lot of things, Music, Maths, Art, History. . Yeah I know, vague. . I'd say out of those I enjoy Music the most.2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
It would have to be Ancient Runes or Arithmancy, they seem to be the two most interesting, though of course subjects such as DADA, Potions, Transfiguration and Charms are really fun and useful. Also I like Care of Magical Creatures, I love animals
enough said! 3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
.:Positive:.
-Fair. I don't like people mistreating others and people who discriminate against other I just can't tolerate!
-Hyper. I suppose this can be good or bad really!
But yeah. I get extremely hyper at times! My friends and I are crazy personified!! They are lunatics! Complete nutters! I guess they've rubbed of on me over the years! Or maybe it's the other way around. . !
-Sense of humor. I love a laugh! There's nothing better!
.:Negative:.
-Some days, that sense of humor of mine gets out of hand. When I'm in a bad mood (not often, but it happens!!) I get really sarcastic, literally everything I say will be sarcastic, it's really bad and annoying.
-Terrible memory and attention. I forget things so easily! My friends kill me for it, somebody would tell me something and then ten minutes later I'd ask the same question! Also I don't pay attention sometimes, I hear some things and don't hear others. . It's really wierd. And it's not the 'you only hear things you want to hear' kinda thing because most of the time it's something I would want to know and usually turns into one of the questions I ask a million times due to my crap memory!
-Lazy. I get really lazy sometimes, and everything goes down the drain (my work ethic, smarts. .etc.) I really hate it! It annoys me to no end but when I get lazy I'm just like. . Ahh, I'll do it later and I basically do nothing for a whole day or even days! What a waste of time when I could be doing something useful!4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
Hmm, I think deffinately Tonks. I'm very clumsy, I constantly knock things over! Also she 's hyper and fun, and to be honest that's me in a bubble! 5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I hope you don't mind me mentioning a few! I'll make it brief.
- Remus L. I think he is a very self-sacrificing person which I really admire. The way he discouraged a relationship with Tonks for her safety.
-Hermione G. I admire her intellect and smarts, and that she stands up for what she believes in (e.g. S.P.E.W.)
-Sirius I love Sirius
I love his personality and I admire his strength and the way he rebelled against his family and was loyal to his friends to the end. 6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I would be looking forward to DADA and Care of Magical Creatures the most because they are so different for them normal boring things we have in this world
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)
I am good at sports (I love Tae Kwon Do and Hockey) but am terrible at running and don't enjoy it at all.
I play piano and I'm not bad at that
Though I can't play in front of loads of people!
I adore kids and I'm really good with them! 8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
Oohh, tough one! I've been thinking about this a lot lately, I have absolutely no idea what I want to do after school. I don't even have a dream job which does not help me at all. I've been thinking of so many different things (music, art, sports science, science, teaching, montasory. . It'll prob be something else again next week!). So. . I'm really sorry but I don't have a clue!
I would really love to be a housewife though. Marry young and have loads of kids
But I don't know the reality of that. 9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
That I have excelled in all my subjects and every single door is open to me!
Hahaha! I wish!
Again this question is sport of not possible to answer, sorry. I know I'm sort of useless lol. Indecision and all that. .10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
-Least favourite would have to be the very last 'Nine years later' (or eleven years or what ever it was! I was so annoyed I didn't really pay attention to the title). Could Rowling not have stirred it up a bit?! I mean, how predictable can you get!?
Having said that, I realise the ending was needed, but I have to say I think it would have been better if it hadn't ended up so 'perfect'.
-Favourite would probably be. . hmm, so many! I'd say probably when Sirius was saved
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
Confront them about it and make sure they realised they were doing wrong.12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
Beat up the robbers!!
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
My biggest aspiration is to find my other half, get married and have a huge family!!
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
I won 2nd place in the Tae Kwon Do World Championship in Birmingham two years ago which I'm pleased with, though slightly annoyed I didn't get first, I know I could have!
I also got 2nd in the Europeans which again I'm pleased but annoyed with!15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
Hyper, smart, friendly, hyperbole, Christian, loyal, books, books, books, reading, Harry Potter, Twilight, books, music, family, friends. . . Hey there,
Hope it's comprehendable!
Take care,

Lauran

Lol, Hi Lauran!! Before we get to your career there are a few things I'd like to comment on. First Congratulations on second place in the Tae Kwon Do World Championship and in the Europeans!!! That's amazing! Keep it up and you'll get first place next time! And you're NOT useless. It takes some people a while to figure out what to do for the rest of their life. Just make sure that with whatever you pick, you enjoy it! Okay...now to your career. You are pretty difficult to come up with a career for, I love all the information you gave me and it seems like you would be perfect in a number of jobs, but; I think with your athleticism and love for sports you'd be great as a
Quidditch player for the
Sweetwater All-Stars. This team is from Texas, USA and it's founding date has not yet been discovered. I think on this team, you'd be the
#1 beater to contend with. Have fun!

4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like?)
I suppose I could be described as a mixture of. Hermione and Draco, I and smart, respect the rules when I have to and such; but I also have another side, I love sarcasm and sometimes use my cleverness to my advantage. I guess I could also call myself misunderstood and different.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Severus and Dumbledore because of their great morals and the strength that it took them to overcome the expectations everyone had of them.

I would be looking forward to quidditch the most and I would be looking forward to OWLS the least.

1.Biology. I'm fascinated with all living things; particularly animals and plants.
2.Charms. It's a very practical subject that is so varied. It's one of, if not the foundational cornerstone of magic. So many spells to choose
3. Positive: Imaginative, unique, intelligent, tolerant, eccentric
Negative: Reserved, sometimes lax, average inter personal skills
4. Probably Luna Lovegood because I'm a little bit weird but people who know me and understand me except me for who I am. I also love animals like Luna.
5. Harry because of his courage and bravery, Hermione for her intelligence and Dumbledore for his skills and talent as a wizard.
6. I'd most look forward to getting my wand (I find the subject fascinating and would love to know what I would get in reality) and also getting a magical pet like an owl or cat. I would least look forward to shopping and getting fitted for robes. I really don't like shopping for clothes.
7. I'm good at looking at situations from different perspectives, understanding what people are thinking and feeling. I'm also good at art. I'm bad at spelling, maths and public speaking.
8. Zoologist, Zoo Keeper, Animals Scientist/ Biologist researcher. Something animal related.
9.I'm not sure. How many magical animal related jobs are there? Something related to magical animals some how but perhaps something that requires great magical skills as a wizard (charms was always my favorite subject). Maybe something llike teaching? Maybe not. Like I said, I'm not sure.
10. Most favorite moment would be the DA sticking it to Umbridge in book 5 and the chapter in the 7th book called 'The Princes Tale' when we find all of the info we have been missing to do with Snape. My least favorite would have to be a tie between when Mad Eye Moody was murdered and when Dobby was murdered and buried.
11. That would depend on the situation and the circumstances but for something quite serious I would report them to the police. Family or friend involvement would complicate matters more.
12. Shock at first most likely and then I would try to help them if it wasn't going to endanger myself or the people around me. Call the police or an ambulance if needed
13. To go to university and complete my degree
14. I finished and graduated from high school.
15. Nothing to be told

Before I get started I'd like to say WELCOME TO VTM to all the newcomers. It's so exciting meeting new people and getting to you know you guys a bit through these questions! I hope you enjoy VTM as much as I do.

Now lets get on with it!!
Re-enervate, Your passion for science (including potions) and you drive to help others puts you in the perfect position for
Healer at St Mungos Hospital
for Magical Maladies and Injuries. Since saving lives is your aspiration, you'll be working on the Fourth Floor: Spell Damage. Here is where all the serious cases are, like the Longbottoms and Gildery Lockhart. This floor deals with things such as: Unliftable jinxes, hexes, and incorrectly applied charms, along with many others. I know you'll succeed here, your patients are in good hands! Good Luck!
Veritaserum14, You have a lot of traits that Hermione has. Interests in DADA and law put you right in the middle of the
Department of Magical Law enforcement at the Ministry. Here you'll be helping others and making sure justice is done! This also where Hermione began her law enforcement career after transferring from the Dept. of Regulation and control of Magical Creatures. Stay Safe!
Doug2222, HA HA...no guy likes shopping! I also feel the same way about Moody and Dobby. Those were hard chapters for me to get through with all the tears, I also feel the same way about Hedwig. Your love for animals just might out weigh your passion for charms. It seems to me that
Magizoologist is the perfect place for you! In this endeavor you will be studying magical creatures and caring for them in a larger than life way. The responsibilities of this job are far more intense than those Hagrid had. As a fellow animal lover, I feel this is what you are meant to do! So good luck and have fun!.
PS. Watch out for Blast-Ended Skrewts.

You might want to brush up on your knowledge give

First WELCOME TO VTM you two! I hope you have as much fun as I do!
TheFray, I've also had my first holy communion, congratulations on that acheivement!! I see you being a
member of the
Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Here, you'll be dealing with minor infractions, much like the police. There is a lot of room to move up in the ranks, do an exceptional job and you just might make auror. This is also where Hermione started her crime fighting career after transferring from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures Good luck and stay safe!
The Ravenclaw Princess, wow...3 books that's awesome. I'm currently working on my first...and it's not an easy thing to do! Since you're interested in wars and revolutions and you really like DADA then I think the perfect job for you is
Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts. Here you can teach students how to defend themselves in case of a wizarding world war. Hopefully, there won't be another Voldemort. However; if there is, then you and your students will be ready! Good Luck Professor!

Hi everyone!! Welcome to VTM Newbies!!
nicky potter,

Where have you been??? I share your love of writing and hatefulness towards math!! Okay okay...now your career! I actually think you make a superb sports writer. I usually try to stay away from giving people exactly what they want and only what I think they would be good at given the answers to the quiz...but you would be perfect for the
sports writing position at the daily prophet. Just stay away from Rite Skeeter...she seems to poison any writer she gets her nasty quill on.
britishemmafan, since you're really into science and seem to love it so much I think the right position for you is
Potions Professor at Hogwarts. Here you can let you imagination run and create concoctions all your own. Have fun experimenting!!
redheadfan, I don't like spiders either! Or any bugs for that matter LOL. As for your career, I see you being perfect for
Potions Master. You own your own shop and create potions for a wide number of witches and wizards for various ailments and other uses. Studying potions and making your own could lead to an amazing discovery! Good Luck!
smelliarmus, WOW! You are pretty difficult for me to figure out today! I've literally gone back and forth and back forth! LOL However; I do think I came up with a career for you that I think you will enjoy...and I apologize if you don't. Since you're a fun person and love making people laugh and like to joke around...i thought (After a while) there's no better place for you than with the twins at
Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Here you'll be working side by side with Fred and George as a partner making the funniest and fun loving gags. With these two pranksters and yourself, I don't see there being a dull moment for you at work. So let your creativity pour, but; keep in mind that vigilance is a must when running
your joke shop.
You Found Me, Congratulations on the state championship! That must have been really exciting!! And speaking of which, I think that with you athleticism and love for sports, you'd be perfect playing
seeker for the
Sweetwater All-Stars. This team is based out of Sweetwater, Texas in the USA! Playing seeker (as you know) is a very important position and one that's always in the spotlight. So good luck! I hope to see you in the Quidditch World Cup!
lostie_lily, You seem like a really honest person and I like that. And Congratulations on getting your job! I know it must have felt good...and with your first interview too!!! Since you love teaching and show an interest in the stars, I think you are the perfect fit for the
astronomy teacher at Hogwarts. I hope you don't mind heights...the Astronomy tower is pretty far up there. Good Luck Professor!
bertiebotseveryflavourbeans, GREAT job at passing your GCSEs with such high marks! A studious and caring person is exactly fit for the medical field! Knowing you're capable of such marks is a relief since you would have had to of have an Exceeds Expectations in Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology, Charms, and Defence Against the Dark Arts, in order to become a
healer (Doctor) at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. You work on the Fourth Floor: Spell Damage. Here are a few ailments you'll be taking care of: Unliftable jinxes, hexes, and incorrectly applied charms, etc... Good Luck

Tonkzzz_777, Wow! You are the first person to admire Draco! That is pretty interesting! You have great goals and congratulations on your outstanding achievements. I think being a healer is the perfect fit for you! However, I've been giving this some thought and I've decided though you would be an excellent choice for St Mungos, I believe that your expertise would be better served as the healer in the Hospital wing at Hogwarts.
Since you love kids so much, there's no better place to take care of them than at Hogwarts. You'll be dealing with much of the same thing as St Mungos. It's more likely for kids to go to the Hospital Wing than St. Mungos in the first place. The things you'll be taking care of are as such: Mending/growing bones, wand back firings, cauldron explosions, petty jinxes, potion mishaps and many others that students are prone to. Good Luck!!

Congratulations on your "badges" That's awesome!! I absolutely LOVE horses! They are my favorite animal! Anyways...let's see about your career. Welcome to VTM to all the new members! I'm excited to be handing out your careers and learning a bit about each of you! If you have any questions...about anything, please feel free to PM me. I always welcome Owls
Loony'sCool, You and I have have three things in common...love for animals, the ability to not be so great in math! LOL And not liking the fact that Dobby died! I also cried!

And since your love for animals is practically screaming at me...I'd say the PERFECT job for you is
Megizoologist. In this field you'll be searching for new species, taking care of them and protecting them. To brush up on some reading I suggest "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" By: Newt Scamander (AKA JKR) Good Luck and Be careful...some creatures you'll find might be dangerous!
webs2009, <~~~ Whoa..we have a math genius over here! Congrats on passing cal 2. Math and I DO NOT get along! LOL As for your career...I think
Arithmancy Professor at Hogwarts will suit you well. This subject deals a lot with numbers and requires an excellent memory when working with large number charts. Good Luck Professor!
allygryffindor123, Well anticipate no longer! Your job awaits! That's pretty cool that you made a comic, I'm glad it was a great success! Since you have an interest in the human mind I think I found the perfect career for you! An
Obliviator!! You be "fixing" minds in a matter of speaking. You're charged with making sure muggles minds are erased and altered when they come across any kind of magic. Whether it be a magical creature or a wizard. Hermione used this charm against some death eaters in a coffee shop in DH. Enjoy your mind games!

Welcome to VTM to all the newbies! It's great to have you guys as part of the VTM family! If you any questions or comments feel free to PM me
theboywhoscored1, It's very interesting that you say you're more like Oliver Wood. You're the first to make this comparison! Since you're a sports fanatic and you admire Ron Weasley, I see it only fitting for you to play
Keeper for the Chudley Cannons (Which is Ron's favorite team). The Chudley Cannons have had a lot of bad luck over the years, we think YOU are just the wizard needed to change everything around! Good Luck and Have fun. Who knows...we might be seeing you in the World Cup!
Weaxzezz, WHOA! Narcissa Malfoy...wow, I haven't had anyone compare themselves to her, that's very interesting. Since you have a natural talent with animals and enjoy being around kids versus adults then I think the job for you is
Care of Magical Creatures Professor at Hogwarts. I wouldn't worry about the other staff...you have plenty of room around the grounds to avoid them!Good Luck Professor
Crazedd Redneckk, Wow! You saved a boy from drowning

...that's heroic. We share the same passion to work for the FBI..maybe one day we'll run into each other LOL. It's very clear what job you'd be perfect for. It's seems only natural that you'd be an
Auror. With your studious ways, receiving 5 newts would be a cinch. So be careful and good luck making our world safer!

1.) Band. I love music and I'm really good at it.
2.) Transfiguration. It always amazes me how something can be turned into something totally different.
3.)
1.) I'm very protective of my friends; if you mess with them I mess with you back, and I usually do something horrible to you. >=D
2.) I'm pretty smart, if I try.

2.) I tend to procrastinate a lot.
3.) I'm really lazy at times.

5.) I admire Fred and George a lot. They're two of the few who follow their dreams no matter what people say. They accept help when it's given to them and they're hilarious.

If I dislike someone it is Because of their traits, personality, etc...)
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why? While I think it would all be neat, I can't imagine having to handle (even in potions) bugs, and that sort of thing. I would most look forward to having the ability to do my housework with the help of magic!!
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.) I am not very good at suppressing my own opinion. If someone talks about something in a public place, in a public way, then I feel free to voice my opinion. I am very much a perfectionist.
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why? An attorney! To be paid to argue with another person would be perfect!
9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts? I'm really not sure. That's why I'm doing this!
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books. Most favorite: When the comments of the Marauders are read from the map. I'd love to see Snapes face when he heard All the comments!!
Least favorite: When Dumbledore dies. That wasn't necessary!
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.) I've done it. My eldest daughter was hooked on Meth and was on probation. I caught her using again and called her probation officer and turned her in. She ended up doing a little time for all of it, but I figured she was better off in jail than found dead with a rig in her arm. She's been drug free for 5 years now!
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.) I would do whatever was necessary to save the person from harm. Probably call the police, then jump into the melee.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.) You need to understand that I am no youngster. At 53 my main aspiration is to get into a smaller house so that hubby and I will be able to take care of it ourselves as we get older. Something that will allow us to travel and not worry about.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.) I don't know that I've accomplished a whole lot of anything other than that I have been happily married for 31 years, have raised 3 beautiful, successful children and am helping (by babysitting) to raise my grand-daughter. To me, that is what life is about.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know. I've pretty well spilled my guts here. When I've given more than one answer it's because my moods do shift rather largely, and when they do, my tastes do.
Thanks, ahead of time, for taking the time!!

5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
It would have to be Remus. Hes been through what Harry has and we forget it. He was there when Lily and James were killed. He thought one of his best friends had betrayed one and killed another. And then, after finding out Sirius is innocent, he loses him as well. Hes been through so much and was just as humble and caring and sweet as he was before the whole ordeal.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?

I dont reckon I can narrow it down enough.
Least: Any time a favourite character died. Like Dobby, or Fred.
Most: The time Ron barged into Ginny's room and just goes, "Oh.."
When George wakes up and says he's feeling holey. hehe!
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
Ask them what the hell they're doing and make them stop. I dont think I could turn them in.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
Id try and get help. Im a very small person so I dont think Id do much good trying to pull someone off or something but Id do what I could. ; )
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
To act in a movie along-side Johnny Depp. lol.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
Umm, got 1st in Regional public speaking finals and then 3rd in state..
I dunno, I think that I havent let anyone influence who I am is the biggest.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
Im small but Im really happy. I tend to keep my feelings to myself when I should share them. I hate when people compliment me all the time cos I never know what to say. Ha!

Welcome to VTM everyone! I'm exciting to be giving you your wizarding careers and getting to know a little bit about each of you in the process! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM me.
Insanity, I''m also very shy so I totally understand where you're coming from. It's awesome that you helped work on houses with your church! Wanting to be in the FBI and helping people at all costs of your own is very admirable and brave. We need people like you in our world to make it safe for the rest of us! I'm proud to announce that you've made
Auror.

Stay safe and good luck!
slytherin_girlyyy, Well you seem to be really into music which is awesome! And why I think you'd be a great member of the
Weird Sisters band. This band is very popular, they were booked to play at the Yule Ball. Since you attack endeavors from negative feedback...I'm going to say that you may not be what they are looking for..since your a girl. (Even though I know you're perfect for the spot!) Just giving you motivation to rock the house!
IaPotterLvr, It's great to meet a fellow
Hufflepuff!! I feel you on the bugs issue! Maybe using Wingardium Leviosa would help...so we don't have to handle them! EEK!

I think raising a family is the ultimate achievement! Everyone here (The youngsters) seem to want to achieve what you have. And I share your love for arguing and attorney aspirations. And because of this I think you'd be perfect as a
Wizengomat member. The wizengamot serves as the wizard high court of law.
IamNotaDeathEater, Congratulations! Winning regionals and getting 3rd in state at public speaking is an awesome achievement! Most people aren't good at public speaking (I'm one of them)! Since you love performing and you love music I think the
lead singer for the weird sisters is a match for you. Make sure you coordinate with
slytherin_girlyyy, since she has just made the band too! Have fun!

Hey Everyone! I appologize for taking a while to get back to you on your careers. I'm usually really fast with these, but I've been super busy!! Anywho...let's get down to business!
Welcome to VTM to those of you that are new. This is a great place to discuss everything Harry Potter along with everyday life...so here we go!
Nyigothulle, I don't like getting up from sleep either. My friends in High School use to get really mad at me for it. I like to think of sleeping as a hobby...that way you can't be lazy! LOL! Good luck at beating Shakespeare at his own game. You seem to be extraordinarily driven and with this kind of passion, one can do anything! As for your wizarding career goes, I think being a
writer is natural for you and it's something I can't just over look. I see you writing literature texts and works of art to teach others your craft, being published and rave reviews in literary magazines.
GreyEyes, I feel the same way about Mrs. Weasley as you do. Since you're like Hermione and you love math, I think the best career for you would be an
Arithmancer. This is Hermione's favorite subject and it requires a good memory and skillful usage of complicated number charts. The study of Arithmancy is extremely difficult and when done properly can reveal predictions for the future.
Petey Pettygrew, Good luck writing a novel, it's very difficult as I am going through it myself. I also love animals, and seeing as though you want to become a vet and you've received top grades in CMC, I think
Magizoologist is perfect for you. In this career you can take care of all magical creatures...including dragons and even discover new species that we don't know about. If I were you, I'd brush up on your creature knowledge by reading "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Fine Them" BY: Newt Scamander (AKA J K Rowling).
Miss_H, WOW, I thought I was reading about myself there for a moment! I have a strong feeling that teaching is what you're meant to do. Loving kids and wanting to be creative and help others is what a teacher is all about. You also seem very practical, so it's only fitting that you'd become the
Charms Professor at Hogwarts! After traveling the world and becoming a bit cultured, which will help your creativity and ultimately your students. Good luck Professor!

Welcome to VTM! I hope you enjoy this wonderful place as much as I do. Feel free to send me an owl (PM) If you have any questions or comments.
True Gryffindor Girl, I believe you are the first to say that arithmancy is your fav. wizarding subject! That's really interesting. I totally share your love for dancing...especially hip hop!!! Because your smart and have an interest in arithmancy, I think you'd make a great arithmancer. Be aware that patience and diligence are needed to be successful. Concentrate...Good Luck!
yeriiyah, I hate the feeling of being alone too, but on VTM, your never alone...so remember that! I wouldn't be looking forward to detentions either, the things they make you do can turn anyone's stomach LOL. Since, you love science and you're good at it and you want to put in the time and effort to help people, I think a Healer at St. Mungos is the right match for you! You'll be working on the Fourth Floor: Spell Damage. You're on this floor because it deals with Unliftable jinxes, hexes, and incorrectly applied charms among other things. Since you're extremely gifted with charms, we feel you're more valuable on this floor. Good Luck!

prideful, hot tempered and witty
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)

6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?

i probably wouldn't be very thrilled about all the rules
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)

i'm terrible at following rules

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
-During High School, my favourite class was definitely Drama. I love theatre and my drama teacher was amazing. Now I’m a psych major in college so I love all my psych classes and any course about behavior.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
-I would say Charms. There are so many that would simplify my life. I think it would be the most useful class.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
-Positive: Driven, Charismatic, Generous
-Negative: Judgmental, Indulgent, Catty
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
-I think I’m most like Fred. I’m driven to pursue thing’s I’m interested in but I don’t put very much effort into things that I don’t like. Like Fred, I have a flair for the dramatic and enjoy being the center of attention.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
-I admire Hagrid very much because of his good spirit. He had faced a lot of adversity in his life but he hasn’t let other people’s opinions change who he is.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
-I would be most excited for learning all about and seeing all of the different magical creatures that I’d been missing out on as a muggle.
-I would be least excited about having to deal with shopping for robes. I hate clothes shopping, and I’m sure that would carry over into the wizarding world.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)
-I’m really good at the performing arts and rhetoric. I was voted Most Talented in my graduating class for my involvement in the plays and musicals we put on every year. I received a choral achievement award at our graduation ceremony. I also aced my public speaking course in my freshman year of college and was voted best speaker on 3 out of the five speeches that we were assigned to give.
-I’m not so great at sports. I’ve never been athletic and I’m just not built for it. I’m tall and lanky with hardly any muscle mass.
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
-I want to be a psychiatrist or a forensic psychologist. As I said before, I’m a psych major and I definitely want to work within the field after I’m done with school. I love the mind. I want to use my education to help other people deal with their issues and make a difference. I want my life to mean something and I want to make a positive impact while I’m here.
9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
-I would like to hear that my opportunities are limitless. I’m an excellent student and I strive for perfection because I don’t want to limit my career opportunities. I want to be able to do anything that strikes my fancy.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
-Most Favourite: I liked Harry’s lessons with Dumbledore and learning about Voldemort’s past the best, I think. It was very interesting to watch young Tom Riddle transform into Voldemort.
-Least Favourite: I hated that Rowling killed off Fred. I understand why it was done, but I wish she could’ve picked a different Weasley. Fred has been my favourite character since the beginning of the series.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
-I definitely wouldn’t make a scene about it or call attention to them if I saw them doing anything like that in public. I’d voice my disapproval, quietly, and try to persuade them to rethink their decisions. Depending on the severity, I may or may not yell at them about it later in private.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
-If there was any chance that harm would come to me if I interfered, I’d stay out of it (like if the criminal was armed). I’d probably just memorize what happened and offer to give a statement later.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
-Someday I’d like to star as Jo in a production of Little Women The Musical.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
-I’m very proud of the fact that I made a perfect 4.0 my freshman year of college.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
-I pay high attention to detail. I love forensics. I hate monotony. I don’t like desk jobs.

Welcome to VTM for those of you that are new and welcome to the wizarding job thread! I hope you guys have as much fun on here as I do. Now lets get down to business
firewhiskeyboy, I love your avatar by the way! Madam Rosemerta? HAHA No one has ever said that before!!

Hockey huh...I hope you've been following the Stanley Cup Series!!
QUOTE
i'd probably be helping them out so i guess what i would do is pull my end so that we can get away with it.
Now NO ONE has said this before either!! haha
I'm sorry you've been deprived of Harry Potter for so long, I'm glad to see that you've rectified the situation though

Lets see... to be honest an auror is strictly against watching others in danger and don't particularly take part in breaking laws. You seem to love to have fun and cut loose, being good at sports caught my eye but I can't ignore your love for "good times" So naturally I've come to the conclusion that you'd be perfect as
Madam Rosemerta's right hand man. Tending bar at the Three Broomsticks would suit you well. There's lot's of people, secrets being whispered in every corner, not to mention the amazing snow fall for your snowboarding skills. Have fun...I know you will!
Gemma Lucas, You and I have something in common. I also love forensics so I understand your drive to succeed in that area. You also sound a lot like Hermione Granger. She's very driven and studious like yourself. I have the perfect position for you! There's an opening at
Azkaban for a
psychiatrist. You'll be in charge of breaking down and understanding the mind of the most evil wizards we've had to face, like: Bellatrix Lestrange, Barty Crouch Jr, Augustus Rookwood, Travers and many others. Good Luck!
mrs.potter10loveyou, Well, I'm glad someone is good at math. Personally math and I do NOT get along! It's good that you admire Hermione because for your career you'll need to be driven and loyal to your studies, oh have I mentioned that it's Hermione's favorite subject? Since your such a fan of math I think you'd be perfect as the
Arithmancy teacher at Hogwarts. This subject requires a top notch memory and a love for numbers. If you work the large number charts correctly you may be pleasantly surprised at what you unlock. Good Luck Professor!
