Hi Everyone! I just wanted to say how excited I am to be the new Coordinator of this quiz. I was very pleased with my results some time ago and I hope you all are happy with yours! Enjoy VTM
Dawn
mugglelovrspew, I think you would be perfect for the Professor of Muggle Studies job. Here you can express your love of performing and teach young witches and wizards muggle living through the arts. You may even start the first Wizardry broadway show. Good luck Professor!
BRoyals, Your love for reading and writing tells me that your the choice to report whatever moves you as a correspondent for the Daily Prophet. With your experience, a novel just might be closer than you think.
charlie chaotic, History, Psychology and chemistry makes you a superb alchemist. There is a lot of history with Alchemy going back as far as Ancient Egypt. Psychology and other sciences will help you find and create your own substances...much like the Sorcerer's Stone. Know the history of alchemy and become part of it, like those before you, Albus Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel.
nox_mors_magnetic, With your many languages I think Department of International Magical Cooperation is the place for you. You can help various countries come together and cooperate in wizarding actions both political and public and take legal action when necessary. Traveling around world enables you to see the stars from a different perspective and frees you from a mundane routine.
acidpop, Respect you say? Well how about the complexities of Arithmancy. One of Hermione's favorite subjects. In this profession, your love for math and interpreting numbers really come into play. Your intelligence and strong memory will help you succeed. And don't worry...wands are allowed.

I would like hearing that I would be an Auror or a Teacher, or maybe someone who worked at St. Mungo's, something like that.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
Most favorite moment: When Hermione went to the Yule Ball in GoF and stunned everyone. I LOVED how she could show that hey! she's stunning as well as amazingly intelligent.
Least favorite moment: Basically any moment with Umbridge in it in OotP.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
I would try to get them to stop, but I wouldn't turn them in unless they pointblank refused to stop what they were doing or make restitution in some way. Or at least seek help.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
I would try to stop it, either by directly intervening or by calling the police.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
One aspiration I have is to write and publish a novel.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
I have written a novel in a month that was over 50K words.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
I have a rather wide silly streak.

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
math and i.t., don't know. just have a natural sparks on those subjects.

I think neville is the most like me. neville is often underestimated, while I always underestimated too. my friends think that I'm up to no-good, but really, I have some great potential that they can't see.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I don't admire any of them--I mean, come on. they're just characters. I'd rather admire a real person.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
mostly I look for individual activities such as alone in the goblet room, reading books or doodle in the library...that's because I think others don't really need me. they can be strong without me. least, of course quidditch, due to my low score at physical education. and team play? geez.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)

I don't know, I don't like to think about that. I truly enjoy the present-moment.

most favorite: harry asks cho to dance with him in Yule Ball
least favorite: the new d.a.d.a. professor (umbridge)'s introduction
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
so what? it's their own problem. if they are no longer in a mood to break the law, they can be conscious and stop doing that. they don't need me.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
oh, hoh. like I'd care, huh?
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
don't really have one. enough?
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
I have many, but one that I feel very spectacular is answering 350 questions in the internet.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
I'm very, very strange.

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
- Society studies. We debate, discuss politics and are orientated towards to present. I like to think it will help me make a difference in the future.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
- Potions, it is such a subtle art, it takes a lot of skill and a little mistake can have big consequenses.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
- The good ones: I am quite smart, I am tolerant and open about myself (I hate secrets, I don't like to have secrets about myself, it is my opinion that secrets distance people)
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
- Studious like Hermione I would say. I think education is very important, I always wants to learn more and I study hard to be the best. I won't settle with mediocrity
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Snape for his skills and his way he is able to feel very strong love. He is incredibly smart, but I don't always agree in his acts.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
- I would be looking foreward to be able to change things because I want to, that if I study hard enough I would be able to transform things. I would be least looking foreward to hiding my skills.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)

9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
- That I can do whatever I want to, because my grades are exceptional and I have a lot of extra subjects.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
- My favorite is Snapes memory about Lily. It is so touching and filled with love, passion and is well-written. My least favourite is when Ron leaves Harry and Hermione.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
- I would confront the person with it, trying to understand the persons causes for doing it and make the person make the right choice.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
- I would call the police right away and try to help the witness. I wouldn't worry about if I would have to witness in a trial or help the police. It wouldn't be my first time.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
- I would like to achieve true love. But I'd also like to make an effort to save the planet and make a difference.

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
I am not in school anymore, but when I was in school my favorite subjects were physics and home economics. I liked physics because we did fun projects. We built bridges and we made huge paper airplanes that actually worked really well. It was just fun to learn about why/how things work. I liked Home Economics because I learned a lot of valuable things in that class, not to mention that it was a lot of fun and an easy A for me.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
I think Charms would be my favorite wizarding class because there are so many charms. I thinks that charms are the heart of magic. Without charms, magic would be a lot of work.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
The Positive-
I’m honest. There’s nothing I hate more than a liar.
I’m a very loyal friend- think Ron Weasly here. Harry treats him horribly, but he remains true to the friendship. That’s me.
I’m genuinely caring. I think a lot of people pretend to care. I actually do care. It doesn’t matter what the topic is. I’m passionate about everything!
The Dark Side-
I’m stubborn.
I’m a procrastinator. I wait until the last minute to do anything I have a deadline on.
I’m messy.
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I think that I am most like Ginny. She is independent, strong and true to herself. She loves her family. She’s true to her heart and she’s passionate.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I guess I admire Snape. In my opinion, he has the hardest job of all the members of the order. He must spy on LV without allowing himself to become weak. He must keep his mind locked at all times or risk everything the order is invested in. He is acting at all times. I think that would be very difficult.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I would be really excited about all the preparation- shopping in Diagon Alley, the train ride and finally the sorting!
At the same time, I’d also be dreading the sorting. What if I wasn’t put in Gryffindor?! That would be so disappointing!
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)
It sounds like a weird talent, but I am good at observing people. I watch people all the time and try to guess the way they will react to certain things. I also am crafty. I am pretty talented at quilting. I make quilts for gifts regularly. When I make a quilt, I make it to reflect the personality of the person I am giving it to.
I am not musically talented whatsoever!
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
I would like to own a little shop- like a fabric/quilt shop. I have good ideas to help it stand out above the other shops and it’s my passion. I would prefer to own my own shop rather than work for someone.
9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
I would like to hear that because I am a “people watcher” I would be an asset to the Ministry of Magic. I could be an auror or something like that. I think it would be awesome to work in the department of Mysteries.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books?
My favorite moment in all the books is when Fred and George “drop out” of school. They do it with such flair! You know that they are really talented but at that moment, you realize that they have an extraordinary talent for trickery. They are my favorite characters, so that’s probably why I like that scene the best.
My least favorite moments in the books are all the times that Dumbledore explains to Harry why things happened- at the end of each book. It makes me crazy that he seems to think that Harry is incapable of handling the truth. He puts himself in danger over and over again yet Dumbledore doesn’t think he’s mature enough to know. I guess the books wouldn’t be as interesting if Dumbledore told Harry the truth before anything crazy happened.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
Well, I’d talk to them about it and try to help them with whatever trouble they were in. I don’t agree with law breaking, but people usually have deep meaningful reasons for committing a crime. Maybe they are desperate and can’t logically think of a better way out of their circumstance. I’d try to help them however I could.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
I honestly don’t know. I like to think that I’d be brave enough to help the victim in some way but I honestly don’t know how I would respond.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
I want to raise my son to know that I love him no matter what he does. I want him to be a good, caring, successful person.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
I’ve worked very hard to stop being selfish. I used to be a very selfish person. But when you’re a mother, you can’t really be selfish anymore…not if you want to be a GOOD mother.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
Well, I can be very shy around new people. I guess that’s the one thing I haven’t mentioned yet.

mysticnovelist, I think you would be perfect for the job of Dragon Keeper. Your love for animals, shy nature around others and stubborn/ hot-headedness would help you excel in this career. There is also a lot of history behind Dragons and many uses for them.
PotterIsTheChosenOne, Artistic, creative and smart are fine qualities for a wand maker. Being interested in something will always help you go above and beyond your skills. With all your talent, you'll be creating wands like Harry's and possibly taking over for Olivander.
Eisa, You're in luck a position for a Healer at St. Mungos has opened up. You'll be on the Fourth Floor- The Janus Thickey Ward. Here the long term patients stay, like the Longbottom's and Gildory Lockhart. Your expertise in Psychology is greatly needed to get into the mind and unlock the hinges, to set them free.
victimthethirteen, I think I found the perfect career for you, though it was a bit challenging. However; I think you would enjoy being an Unspeakable. Even though it's within the Ministry, you won't be around a lot of witches and wizards. This job is very mysterious. Unspeakables aren't allowed to discuss their work hence the reason why we don't know what really goes on behind the doors.
Lulu-lolo, Your passion for politics and debates puts you straight into the Wizengamot. Being able to debate on a forum and not lose your cool can't be taught. With your outstanding grades and your drive this is the place for you. Play your cards right and you just might become Minister.
VeelaVixen,Your caring nature and scientific abilities would help you succeed as a Potioneer. Making potions is an art and can either help or hurt a lot of wizards. Owning your own business enables you to study and invent your own potions and make a nice profit. Like Snape, you may also be able to help the OotP or even assist at St. Mungos.
Good luck!

(Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.) if it was something like petty stealing, i would scold them and tell them to return the item back tot he shop, but if it was something really big i would talk to them about what they did. A cancer awareness day was coming up and my friends and i wanted to do something to raise money, so we made a stall with a raffle and different things by ourselves. It wasn't that much, but we managed to raise some money for charity and we were proud that we managed to do it ourselves

15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
I like starting new projects and am very interested in myths and legends, also friends are priceless.

Potty_and_the_weasel, You just put a smile on my face! Raising money for Cancer awareness with your friends is an amazing accomplishment and a very respectable one! As for your career...I think a job at the ministry in The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is a good fit for you. You will be working with The Accidental Magic Reversal Squad. Since helping people is very important to you, this career allows you to erase magic wizards of done one others (Usually muggles) At times you'll encounter sever cases and other's may be juvenile. Don't worry about taking any criticism, this job is well respected.

Transfiguration Professor. You have big shoes to fill , as Professor McGonagall was one of the best! With your love for knowledge and kids makes you perfect for this position. Compassion and Discipline are 2 traits that are highly regarded when dealing with young minds. Since you're so creative, I think the students could learn a great deal just from your teaching methods. 1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?

Three of my good traits,
a. I can do things very easily without any help.

5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)

It would probably be walking around Diagon Alley because I could see amazing things that I would never have seen other-wise.

Tonks Black, Your love for softball and tennis and your aspiration to play in college show me you can work well with others and excel at whatever you put your mind to. So I think you'll be happy as a
Professional Quidditch player. Your skills for hitting the ball makes you perfect for the
Beater position for the
Barcelona Bombers. The uniforms are vertically striped robes of Red and Blue and this team was founded in 1678. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain. Here you can appreciate fine architecture. Your math skills may also be used to calculate the precise angle to hit your target and protect your team. Have Fun and Good Luck. Hope to see you in the Quidditch World Cup!

AryaForce, I think
Potions Professor at Hogwarts would be a good fit for you. There's a lot of reading involved. Your determination and caring nature will assist you in helping your students succeed. Cooking skills are an important characteristic in potions, since more times than not you'll be brewing potions. And since you enjoy writing, I think inventing your own potions and writing a book (Similar to the Half Blood Prince) will fulfill that life long dream.
Good Luck Professor!!

Snapefan21, Your love for Snape and the sciences will help you succeed as the
Potions Professor at Hogwarts. Unique teaching skills can help you connect with the students and enable them to enjoy potions, so take the time to hone your skills. Just as Snape filled in for Prof. Lupin in DADA, if your skills are up to par, you just might be able to fill in for a few Transfiruation classes. twinklepins, for your wizarding career, your logical side and love for math will help you in this endeavour. Intelligent and confident will also help you strive as an Arithmancer. Arithmancy is a way to tell the future using complicated number charts and is similar to numerology. There are two known Arithmancers and they are: Bridget Wenlock and Septima Vector. And I don't think having Hopes is a bad quality in a person. You have some really positive traits that can take you very far in life!

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
Anything to do with the arts but most especially Drama because I love putting myself in a role and understanding the mindframe of the characters I play. I also love interacting with others in a way which is creative and fun.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
Defence Against the Dark Arts because learning to fight the Dark Arts represents the very things I stand for - fighting for justice, truth, sticking up for what is right and, above all, proving that Love always thwarts evil in the end.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
Positive: Brave, Loyal, Fierce
Negative: tendancy to doubt myself, can get jealous, don't always think things through before I do them.
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I am most like Harry. He is an average person and yet he believes in fighting for good as I do. He strives to protect his friends and loved ones as I have done on numerous occasions.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
I admire Sirius for his loyalty to his friends and for his perseverence in achieving his goals, espeically when it came to hunting Wormtail down to avenge James.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I woud be most looking forward to receiving a wand. It would be the ultimate symbol of magic for me and give me the freedom to channel my magic into a positive force. I would also love to learn to duel.
I would least look forward to having to leave Hogwarts every summer.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)

I am bad at sciences and while I can be a logical thinker I struggle in understanding subjects with boundaries.
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
I would love to do acting because for me it is a way to really express my creativity. I was once in a film and loved the whole experience, the behind the scenes banter, the whole production and then seeing the finished result, the fruits of our labours.

I would love to hear that I could aspire to my dream job with ease and that I have a glowing reputation in my favourite subject, DADA.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
The moment I love best is in DH where Harry accepts his fate with the words 'I am about to die'. It is an amazing sign of his unrelenting commitment to wiping out the dark forces.
My least favourite is when Sirius is killed in OotP. It wasn't fair that he was killed, his death rendered Harry truly alone, devoid of anyone he could call family.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)

12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
I would step in. I have been in this situation and I could only feel immense anger at the perpetrator. I would call the police and after that I couldn't just stand by and watch it happen or walk by without acting. I cannot stand injustice.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
I would love to make a difference in the world, by which I mean I would want to eradicate the world of the evils that I have seen such as animal abuse, child abuse, terrorism and anything which threatens innocent life.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
There was a time in my life when I was content to go with whatever came my way. I was lcuky to meet someone who taught me how to love and this changed my views of life profoundly. It inspired me to care more for those around me and to become Vegan, my contribution to the campaigns for animal welfare.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
I can have a really bad temper if someone goads me enough. I like a bit of risk, I am a huge fan of scary rides at theme parks such as roller coasters and it takes a great deal to scare me.

harryjpotter, bravery, loyalty and fierceness will all help you in this career. Having a passion for DADA and being able to connect with Harry himself makes you perfect for the
Auror position. Your acting skills and ability not to be scared easily can help you infiltrate dark circles of wizards that need to be stopped at all costs! Good Luck and Stay Safe!
hedwig91, So you're most like Hermione and you admire her huh? Well you and I have that in common. Hermione would be proud to know that there is another out there that cares for magical creatures as much as she does. Your love for animals and eagerness to take care of them makes you absolutely perfect for the
Magizoologist career. Your qualities of Caring, loyalty and intelligence will aide you in this endeavor. A Magizoologist is a person that studies Magical Creatures and can go on to protect them in many ways. You must have top grades in Care of Magical Creatures. And since you're so driven you're also a member of
SPEW, where you will work side by side with Hermione Granger!!
Sister to the Dark Lord, Since you love history so much I thought the perfect career for you would be History of Magic Professor. But then I remembered how you didn't like to sit in class and listen to boring lectures. So I think the
Hogwarts Librarian is perfect for you. You can be surrounded by books and learn as much history about the wizarding world until you heart's content. This job is pretty unique as is your answer for the character you admire. No one has said Lilly Evans yet, and that really shows your wisdom and readiness to follow your own path. Good luck keeping Harry, Ron and Hermione out of the restricted section!

Squeal. If someone's committing a serious crime, it should be reported.

I would call the police, but not get involved.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
To live life to it's fullest. I know that sounds really cheesy, but I've made a big list of what I want to do... It includes eating pistachio ice cream, but also things like going to Costa Rica or sky diving.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
Hmmmm...... I think that becoming friends with the people who I am friends with now is my greatest achievement. They have changed my life for the better.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
Ummmm... I'm very accident prone and subject to flattery.

menkaitlin, Welcome to VTM! It's so nice to see a new person!! As for your career I think the right place for you is the
Owner of Madam Malkins Robes for all Occasions. Here you can run your own business in the most popular strip in the wizarding world. And since you love fashion, you'll never get bored creating your own works of art. Your store also sells other clothing besides robes. I look forward to seeing your new creations the next time I come in
sadie_urlady523,

since you're interested in cultural anthropology and you are fantastic at public speaking, I thought the position for
Muggle Studies Professor is a perfect fit for you. With a degree in muggle relations and ties to the Prime Minister, you're the perfect well educated witch for the job. You'll be teaching students all about the ancient and current muggle cultures and comparing to those of wizardry cultures. Good Luck Professor!
mischief_managed88, Welcome to VTM! I hope you're enjoying the forums. Happy Posting! Since you're very interested in knowing what's going on where you live and have a passion for law enforcement I think being a member of the
Department of Magical Law Enforcement will suit you best. This department is a combination of police and justice facilities. It's also the department Hermione Granger eventually joins.
DeSs,

Thanks! I got lucky, this was the last quiz left! I hope you like your career! Seeing as though you are skilled in languages and want to be in a place where you can constantly learn and move up in the rankings I think the place for you is the
Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. You'll be dealing with other witches and wizards from all over the world in the political and public forums. Good things about this job are learning new languages and meeting a network of different people and the ability to move up in the ministry. Percy Weasley started his job here and it's been known how much potential he has. The bad thing about the job is the late hours and the responsibility of the whole department on your shoulders. But seeing as responsibility is one of your many positive qualities, you should really thrive in this position.
Okay everyone! My husband just got home from Iraq a few days ago and we are going to Alabama to visit his family for the week. I might be able to pop on here every now and then to give out a few careers. So be patient, I'll be in full swing next Sunday for sure!!! Happy surveys! LOL

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
I love English, Foreign Lang, and History. I'm a writer and enjoy the beauty of language and literature. History is like a storybook to me and it's fascinating.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
DADA because I'm good at tackling difficult tasks and I'm intrigued by the dark. Not to worry, I'm not about to follow it : ] Transfiguration's a rather complex subject as well and I believe I'd have fun in the class.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
Positive: I'm creative, love to help people, just/loyal
Negative: I'm hot-headed, can be jealous, and am a procrastinator
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
I believe I'm a Tonks/Lupin mix in a way. They're both rather smart but don't flaunt it. Tonks reminds me of myself because we're both sorta misfit troublmakers. Lupin and I have our heads in our books and tend to have outgoing friends that bring us into the limelight.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)
Lupin, because he can restrain himself from loosing his temper or being completely rude. The scene in HBP where he's talking to Harry about Snape, I really admired the way he handled the situation. It's hard to explain I suppose.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?
I think the activity I would be looking forward to most would be seeing all the magical creatures that I believed to be mythical come to life. Watching the pictures move in portraits and photographs. Being able to have a QuickQuill like Skeeker's. There are so many wonderful aspects to the wizarding world. I don't really know one that I wouldn't be looking forward to.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)
I'm a singer and have been in choirs all my life. I'm a musical theatre kid as well at my high school. I've played water polo for 3 years and am completely in love with it. I'm a water child. I played volleyball previously and ran the 300 hurdles track event in middle school. I've also managed to balance a few dance classes in for the past few years. I'm a proud SWING DANCER!!! Woot! I've always been fickle with sports. I was good at a lot of them (except for soccer, because I was a tad clusmy), but got into them all late in life.
I pick up languages pretty fast and am a good proofreader/editor.
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?
Being in a band, recording music, and traveling the world. But that is far from becoming a reality: ]
I'd love to travel the world teaching languages in different countries, but I'll most likely settle down to be an high school English or French professor.
9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?
I'd like them to tell me which job would fits me best, and tell me I'm gonna be able to manage it. I'd also like them to specify the good and bad things of the careers.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books.
Oh gosh...why do you ask this question?! -laughs- There are so many moments...
Probably any scene with the Weasley because they're just the best. How could you not love them? They bring the humour. Least favorite was all the deaths in DH.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
Confront them about it. If they don't own up, do something about it.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
I'd call the police immediately, and get the criminal away from the victim.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
To meet a group of musicians, jam, and record something amazing!
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.)
Making it into my high school's Chamber Choir freshman year after not being in choral for two years.
Another one, would probably be finding my confidence in the 8th grade after changing schools. I'm a totally different person now and I like myself. In middle school I was severely depressed, so finding my self-esteem was a pretty decent breakthrough : ]
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know.
When people first meet me I'm a tad shy and feel upstaged by a boisterous stranger. I'm a spazz and complete klutz. I'm addicted to tortilla chips and salsa. I'm into a lot of different types of music. My biggest pet peeves are prima donnas and egotistical people. I'm not one of those ambitious people who will do anything to get a high paying job or be at the top. I'd be content with a small apartment and a dog to love. I can't cut anything open. I hated dysections in Biology. I have no issue with blood and gore though. "Never a surgeon, always a paramedic." I have no desire to go into the medical field by the way.
There's probably so other bits I should include, but oh well : ]
Happy Job Hunting!

Okay everyone I'm back! I returned home Sunday as planned but a cold has kept me from giving out your careers. Since I'm feeling a bit better I thought I'd better get all of yours done ASAP! So on to business...
asfaloth12, I also refuse to acknowledge Hedwig's death...I cried and cried! Congratulations on your acceptance to med school! That is an awesome accomplishment and proves how much you love helping people. With all your knowledge, patience and love for science, working in
St Mungos as a healer (doctor) is the right place for you! You'll be on the
Third Floor: Potion and Plant Poisoning. Your science skills will come in very handy here...especially with all of Fred and George's concoctions!
with lots of love, since you have been able to solve some software and like figuring things out, I think being a
Curse Breaker is a good fit for you! In the wizarding world, we don't have much in the way of technology but magic is abundant! I can see you breaking curses in order to make them stronger. Curse Breakers usually work in Gringotts to protect all the gold so the goblins don't have a fit! One curse breaker we know of is the handsome Bill Weasley. Good luck!
Canidae, Just and loyal...are you a Hufflepuff? LOL First, why I ask question # 10...HAHA Because if you like the death scenes and you totally go for the Malfoy's then I would think a career of corruption could be in your furture LOL! But, you don't like those scenes...so no worries!

As for your career, I think being a
member of the
Weird Sisters would give you the thrill you're looking for. And with all the traveling involved, you just might form your own band and jam all your heart desires!

Hermione17
Feb 4 2009, 05:20 PM
BasiliskFang, you were particularly hard to place, so I hope you like your career. Lets see...history, out going and active, easily bored and loud, an interest in science and your love for Hippogriffs brings me to the conclusion that you are what we're looking for, for the
Care of Magical Creatures Professor at Hogwarts. There is a lot of history to be learned about all the different kinds of creatures in the wizarding world. I don't see you becoming easily bored with this job. Being active and loud will definitely help you when dealing with the most and least dangerous of creatures. There is a lot of responsibly you'll have toward your students and the creatures you're around as Hagrid has demonstrated. Though, you have a lot more magical talent then he has. Science (potions) will assist you in caring for creatures that are ill or hurt. This career will also give you extra time with Hippogriffs. Good Luck Professor!!
PS. You might want to brush up on your knowledge so I suggest giving
Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them By:
Newt Scamander (J.K. Rowling) a more thorough examination.

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?Writing, I love being creative, and reading/writing stories. I also like Art

.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures (although those Blast Ended Skrewts didn't seem like a very lovely thing to learn about), and Transfiguration. I love all three of them for most of the same reasons, the things that you learn seem very useful and fun at the same time.
3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.Positive traits: I try to see the good in people (it doesn't always work though), I have a sense of humor, and.... I'm outgoing? Sure that works, haha. Negative traits: I'm a really picky eater, I don't have a very "controled" temper, and I have a very short attention span, that not really good or bad though, oh well...
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.) I somewhat like Fred and George, I love to play pranks and jokes on people, and I love having a good laugh. I'm clumsy like Tonks. And I'm a procrastinator like Ron. Oh, and sometimes I'm a bit like Luna, I space out quite a lot, haha.
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.) I really admire Dumbledore for his patience, I don't have a lot of that. It would be hard to name all of the HP characters I admire because, I really admire most of them for different things.
6. If you received a Hogwarts letter, what activity in the wizarding world would you be the most and least looking forward to doing and why?I would probably least be looking forward to the amounts of homework, and most looking forward to everything else. haha.
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)I'm good at Dancing, even though I'm clumsy when I'm not. I'm good at playing the piano, but I like to play songs that my piano teacher DOESN'T assign me, haha. I'm also good with animals, I take a liking to them, and they usually take a liking to me. I also am decent at Soccer. I'm really bad at most other sports though. I don't think there's anything I'm particularly horrible at. Most things I start out bad at them, but once I practice or work on it, I get pretty good.
8. What is your Muggle dream job and why?Actress, because I love acting, and I love performing in front of people.
9. What would you like hearing at the Careers Advice in your fifth year in Hogwarts?I'm not really sure. I always thought being a Care of Magical creatures person would be cool, sort of like Charlie with the Dragons, just not Dragons, haha.
10. What is your most and least favorite moment in the HP books. My least favorite moment, well I personally hated it when different people died, because I would cry so much. Especially when Sirius died, he was one of my favorites (incase you couldn't tell, haha). Other than that I loved everything about the books.
11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.) I would try to talk them out of it, and or stop them.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.) I would either try to help, or try to find someone else to help.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.) I want to travel the world. And I want to do something great for it, like discover something no one has discovered or go somewhere no one has gone before... it sounds cheesy, but that's what I want.
14. Tell me about one achievement you have already conquered. (This can be a small or monumental achievement about anything.) I read all of the Harry Potter books in about a week and a half, I don't really know if that's an achievement thought.... oh I know! I got most-improved award on my Soccer team. I suppose that's an achievement.
15. In as few words as possible, tell me anything about yourself that you think I should know. I'm not very patient. I love the feeling when I do something good for someone else. And.... I'm afraid of the dark. haha. I guess thats it.

1. What is/was your favorite Muggle subject and why?
Academically- world history, i think the world wars were fascinating(sp?) Plus the fact that my teacher made it fun also increased my likeing for the subject. But I did like both sculpture classes I took (1 in high school, 1 in college) I liked creating art, it was very calming and I really looked forward to each project.
2. What is your favorite wizarding subject and why?
Hmmm, I wish I could actually take the classes. Probably charms or potions, because I think it would be fun to learn the random spells that can come in handy. And potions because it would be fun to make crazy concoctions

3. Describe at least 3 of your positive and at least 3 of your negative traits.
positive- smart, humorous, optimistic
not-so-positive- secretive, bad self-esteem(like most teen girls :/ ), lacks the ability to think of a 3rd negative trait
4. What character in the HP series are you most like and why? (In other words, are you studious like Hermione, business-oriented like Fred and George, protective like Mrs. Weasley and the like.)
Ginny, we are sweet in appearance....but don't make us angry...
5. What character in the HP world do you admire and why? (You can admire the person for her/his skills, traits, personality etc. but you don't need to like him/her.)

least-going to history of magic class haha
7. What are you good and bad at in the Muggle world? (I am referring to any kinds of activities, not only those school-related, or to some exceptional skills you possess. As for me, I am particularly good at sports and organization and bad at public speaking.)
good- i'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I'm good at keeping order and running things, in general. I can figure most things out without much direction.
horrible-I'm taking your idea, public speaking, I get so nervous, but I usually end up doing alright. Its the nerves that get me though.

11. What would you do if you saw someone you know breaking the law? (Example: A friend/family member cheating, stealing or purposefully setting out to cause damage or harm.)
depends on how bad it was, and their motive. I'm all for a little harmless revenge, but if its really going to do some damage I'd report it.
12. How would you react if you witness a crime being committed on a total stranger? (Example: Someone being attacked or robbed.)
Call the police, then try to stop it.
13. Tell me about one aspiration you have for your future. (Meaning one achievement you desire.)
Doing something to better someone elses life, even if its just 1 person....or even an animal.

moony padfoot prongs, First Welcome to VTM! I'm sure you're going to have lots of fun bouncing around the different forums! Now let's see...I have the same picky eating habits I wouldn't call it a negative thing though...It's just being conscience of your food LOL (I'm biased!). Reading HP in a week is a good achievement! They are pretty lengthy and it shows that when you are interested in something you take full advantage and being most improved at soccer is also another great achievement! Since you love animals so much and like the idea of working with them, I think you would excel as a
Magizoologist. A person who studies magical creatures and works with them one on one. This field has another excellent quality, you can travel the world to look for and document unknown species. You may even become famous. For this job you have to have made top grades in Care of Magical Creatures classes. Good luck on your adventure!!
MyLife911, Welcome to VTM! You are only the second person to admire Lily Potter and that says a lot to me! Your love for animals and willingness to protect them will put you right in the middle of
SPEW where you will be working side by side with Hermione Granger. As for your career, Your qualities will serve you well as a
potioneer. Being a professional brewer comes with it's perks not to mention it's an art that has to be flawless. You've become rather important in this field by inventing some really valuable potions and have accepted the job as
Potions Master at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Good Luck Professor!!

bellalu, Welcome to VTM! I hope your sorting is going well. I see you're from Canada! That's really cool, I'm half Canadian. My Mom and Grandmother are from Sask. and my Grandfather was from Montreal. Okay...back to your career! There's not much I could find as far as architects go, however; with your cooking skills and passion for it, you would be the perfect fit for
Potions Professor at Hogwarts. Here you can really put those skills to the test and invent your own potions as well. Being a happy and friendly person with help your students feel more at ease in the classroom. Oh, and great job on the straight A's!!!! That's awesome, keep up the good work!!! You'd make Hermione so proud!
