You can talk about your favourite parts of the movies in the movie forum and favourite bits of the books in the books forum - this thread is for quotes, Stina, hence your post was off topic.
If you take a look around the forum and use the search facility, you'll probably find loads of other more appropriate places to discuss Hermione hitting Malfoy.

Ron: How was it?
Harry: Wet.
Ron: Wet? (he says something like that)
Harry: Yeah, coz she was crying.
Ron: Are you that bad of a kisser?
HAHAHAHA it made me laugh forever when i fist heard it
Also i like the one where Ron is making Fun of Crabbe or Goyle
"Ill make him write lines if he does.....My face will not look like a baboons backside."
THat was pretty funny too
MOD EDIT : The only abbreviated form of "because" that is allowed is either "coz" or "cos". "cuz" is considered netspeak, I'm afraid. Your post has been edited.

Malfoy: "You see, I, unlike you, have been made a prefect, which means that I, unlike you, have the power to hand out punishments."
"Yeah," said Harry, "but you, unlike me, are a git, so get out and leave us alone."
Woo Hoo you go boy!
Also,
P. McGonagall: "Is it true that you shouted at Professor Umbridge?"
"Yes," said Harry.
"You called her a liar?"
"Yes."
"You told her He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back?"
"Yes."
Professor McGonagall sat down behind her des, watching Harry closely. Then she said, "Have a biscuit, Potter."

Well, the two quotes in my signature are some of my favorites.
I also like "I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could have been killed - or worse, expelled!" I love most all Hermione quotes.
"Filthy little mudblood" is a good one too. I shouldn't like it, but it's so..catchy.

| QUOTE (lawks_fuster @ May 17 2005, 06:56 AM) |
this is the scene when harry told ron & hermione about the kiss of cho while they were in the common room..... here is it......
chapter 21: the eye of the snake (page 458) (book 5)
ron made a triumphant gesture with his fist and went into a raucous peal of laughter that made several timid-looking second years over beside the window jump. a reluctant grin spread over harry's face as he watched ron rolling around the hearthrug. hermione gave ron a look of deep disgust and returned to her letter.
"well?" ron said finally, looking up at harry. "how was it?" harry considered for a moment. "wet," he said truthfully. (this is somehow funny! and the best quote for me! )
let me continue.... ron made a noise that might have indicated jubilation or disgust, it was hard to tell. "because she was crying," harry continued heavily. "oh," said ron , his smile fading slightly. "are you bad at kissing?" (another favorite! ) "dunno," said harry , who hadn't considered this, and immediately felt rather worried. "maybe i am." (another one! )
and those are my favorite quotes! they really make me laugh! |
i love that part!!! it always made me laugh! when cho says "i really like you harry." i think she's just using harry to talk about cedric.

I love language period and the differences between British English and American English are always a hoot. So one of my favorite phrases, which is used repeatedly, is "dirty great" -- usually in reference to a snake (for instance, the one that attacked Mr. Weasley in OotP). It just always strikes me funny. Go figure.

And, oh yes, "Tuck in. . ."

There are sooo many good quotes mentioned here that come from the books. It really makes you appreciate Jk's style.
Alright, here's another one...
'Hello Kreacher,'said Fred very loudly, closing the door with a snap.
The house elf froze in his tracks, stopped muttering, and gave a very pronounced and very unconvincing start of surprise.
'Kreacher did not see young master,' he said, turning around and bowing to Fred. Still facing the carpet he added, perfectly audibly, 'Nasty little brat of a blood traitor it is.'
'Sorry?' said George. 'Didn't catch that last bit.'
'Kreacher said nothing,' said the elf with a second bow to George, adding in a clear undertone, 'and there's it's twin, unnatural little beasts they are.'

I was chuckling aloud when I read this, you gotta love the way the twins and Kreacher play off one another!

'"Hello, Proffesor McGonagall," said Moody calmly, bouncing the ferret still higher.
"What- what are you doing?" said Professor McGonagall, her eyes following the bouncing ferret's progress through the air.
"Teaching," said Moody.
"Teach- Moody is that a student?"
"Yep," said Moody.
"No!"

I have a lot of favorites. I really liked the one that Harry said to Umbridge though:
"Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher," said Harry loudly, "There was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head."
I was laughing so hard after that. And another one concering the Harry/Ginny kiss:
Harry looked around; there was Ginny running towards him; she had a hard, blazing look in her face as she threw her arms around him. And without thinking, without planning, without worrying abot the fact that fifty people were watching, Harry kissed her. After several long moments or it might of half an hour or possibly several sunlit days they broke apart. The room had gone very quiet. Then several people wolf-whistled and there was an outbreak of nervous giggling. Harry looked over the top of Ginny's head to see Dean Thomas holding a shatttered glass in his hand, and Romilda Vane looking as though she might throw something.
Haha. I was laughing at Dean and Romilda, but mostly Romilda. I just like the whole quote, but when she said Romilda looked as if she might throw something, I just started laughing.

Some of Dumbledore's words of wisdom about life, the universe, and everything:
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that."
"As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all -- the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them."
"The truth. It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should therefore be treated with great caution."
All from book 1. I might post some more later.

In CoS, in response to Malfoy saying it was a pity Hermione didn't die instead of being petrified, Ron jumps off his stool and chokes;
"Let me at him...I don't need my wand, I'm going to kill him with my bare hands!"
In PoA, Ron tells Snape;
"You asked a question and she knows the answer. Why ask if you don't want to be told?"
In OoTP Sirius says about Kreacher;
"Of course, he may have crawled into the airing cupbord and died, but I musn't get my hopes up."
In OotP, at the DoM;
Luna (excitely): "Do you know what could be in there?
Hermione (under her breath): "Something blibbering no doubt."
In HBP, Ron is staring at the bar in the three broomsticks:
Hermione: "What are you staring at?"
Ron: "Nothing."
Hermione: "I expect 'nothing's' in the back getting more fire whiskey."

I have a particular love the Marauders and Lily so:
Harry started at Wormtail for a moment, then back at James, who was doodling on a bit of scrap parchment. He had drawn a Snitch and was now tracing the letters L. E. What did they stand for?
It was one of the girls from the lake edge. She had thick hair that fell to her shoulders and startling green almond-shaped eyes – Harry’s eyes.
Harry’s mother…

i love that, but i like one from POA too...
Harry explained all about Mr and Mrs Weasley's argument and the warning Mr Weasley had just given him. When he'd finished, Ron looked thunderstruck, and Hermione had her hands over her mouth. Finally she lowered them to say, 'Sirius Black escaped to come after
