EDIT: Okay. So I know a lot of you had read my story, some left comments (btw, greatly appreciated!). But, I was lying in bed one night, couldn't sleep and the idea of editing some of my chapters and adding a prologue came to mind. I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone, but if it does, I'm sorry. I just thought it would make the story a little better! Enjoy the revised version! smile.gif Btw, it may get confusing between the revised chapter one and the original chapter 2, but it will easier to understand once I get all the revised chapter's and a new chapter added chapter up! wink.gif

Disclaimer: I DO NOT own any of the characters mentioned in this story; JK Rowling does. I'm just happy she's allowing me to play around with them in my spare time! happy.gif

Chapter 1: Happy Birthday, Harry!
Eleven Years Earlier:
Prologue:

“GET THIS THING OUT OF ME!” Ginny’s scream could be heard down the fifth floor corridor at St. Mungo’s. Harry and a Healer came running in; Molly was sitting on the side of Ginny’s bed.

“Okay, Mrs. Potter. Just one more push and she’ll be out!” the Healer told her.

“She?” Harry asked happily. He and Ginny didn’t want to know what their third child was going to be because they already had two boys.

“Yes, Mr. Potter, your baby is going to be a girl. Now, PUSH Mrs. Potter!” Healer Jones told Ginny as she let out another loud scream.

Ron, Hermione, James, Albus, and Pap Weasley were all sitting out in the waiting room. After she heard Ginny's loud scream, Hermione said, “I hope everything’s okay.”

“I’m sure things are, Hermione.” Arthur assured her.

“Wahahahhhhhh.”

“Is that?”

“The baby?”

“I think so!” Arthur said excitedly.

They waited for five minutes before Healer Jones came out into the waiting room to speak with them.

“How is she?” Arthur asked as he got up, holding two year old Albus in his arms.

“Who? The mother or the baby?” Jones asked.

“You mean it’s a girl?” Ron asked.

“That’s right, Mr. Weasley. Harry and Ginny are proud parents of a healthy and beautiful baby girl.” He answered happily.

“Can we see them?” Hermione asked.

“I suppose a few minutes wouldn’t hurt.” Jones told them as Ron, Hermione, and Arthur, with two year old Albus in arms and James toddling along beside him, headed towards Ginny’s room. Ginny was sitting up in bed and holding the baby when they entered. They didn’t know it then, but she would soon be named Lilian Ginevra Potter.

“Happy Birthday, mate!” Ron told his best mate excitedly as he walked in.

“Is it your birthday today, Mr. Potter?” Healer Jones asked as Harry nodded his reply. “Why, you do have something to be proud of, then. Happy Birthday!” Healer Jones said as he walked out of the room.

“So what are you going to name her?” Hermione asked excitedly as she walked towards Ginny to get a closer look.

“Lilian Ginevra Potter; after her mother and grandmother.” Harry said proudly.

“It’s perfect.” Arthur said as he brought Albus over to Harry.

James was toddling next to the bed and Ron lifted him up to see his sister.

“Come and meet your new sister James!” Harry said.

“Baby!” James said looking at his sister.

“That’s right, James! It's your baby sister.” Ginny said smiling at her son.

“Ron, Hermione?” Harry started.

“Yea, Harry?” Hermione asked, admiring her niece.

“We’ve thought about this very hard and we would like for you two to be Lily’s godparents.” Harry looked at Lily as he spoke.

Ron and Hermione both looked at each other and neither of them responded. Instead, Ron just nodded to Hermione and she said, “Harry, Ginny, we would be honored!”

Chapter 2: Accepted

“Lil, you’ve got a letter!” Eleven-year-old Lily Potter came running inside from playing with her cousin Rose. The Potters had been staying at The Burrow for the past several weeks.

“Who’s it from, Pap?” Lily asked excitedly.

“Don’t know. You’ll have to open it and find out!” Arthur told his granddaughter, but he knew exactly who the letter was from.

“AAAAHHHHH! It’s from Hogwarts! Mum, daddy! I got a letter from Hogwarts!” she hollered for her parents as she opened it.

“When can we go to Diagon Alley?” Lily asked as she was jumping up in down in excitement.

“Lily, calm down! I know you’re excited about getting your letter, but you JUST got it. Why don’t we wait a few days.”

“But, MUM!” Lily complained as she raised her voice a little.

“Lily! Don’t raise your voice at your mother.” Harry told her.

“Sorry, daddy.”

“What’s going on?” James asked as he came down the stairs.

“Yea, we heard screaming and thought something was wrong!” Hugo stated.

“Oh, it was just Lily. She’s excited she got accepted to Hogwarts, that’s all!” Ron said.

“Oh, if that’s all.” Albus laughed.

“Man, we have to deal with her all year, too?” Hugo said jokingly.

“Hugo Matthew!” Hermione reprimanded her son. “You know your cousin has been looking forward to going to Hogwarts ever since you came home for summer vacation.”

“I’m only kidding mum.” Hugo said.

The rest of the day went by quite fast. Lily had immediately sent her reply back to Hogwarts, telling them that she would be there on September first. She couldn’t stop thinking about Hogwarts. She had once remembered her Aunt Hermione telling her about a book called Hogwarts, A History. She went to find Hermione and asked, “Hey Aunt Hermione?”

“Yea, Lil?”

“Do you still have that book you once told me about?”

“Hogwarts, A History?”

“Yea! Can I borrow it?”

“I don’t have it hun. I left it at home, I’m sorry!” she told Lily. But that wasn't the case. She just didn't want Lily to know she was getting it for her birthday.

Lily, out of all the Potter children, was the most interested in the wizarding world. Not just the wizarding world in general, but her family’s history. She loved the fact that her Aunt Hermione was the only Muggle-born in the family. She loved hearing stories about her uncles Fred and George; especially about their joke shop in Diagon Alley. She was hopping that she’d get a chance to go to Weasley’s Wizarding Wheeze’s when she got her school items.

“Awww, okay. Thanks anyway, Aunt Hermione.” Lily hung her head in disappointment as she went to help her mum with dinner.

Well, here it is! Second Chapter. I want to thank Kristin, my beta again for helping me! Chapter 3: Diagon Alley should be up soon! happy.gif Comments greatly appreciated! smile.gif Thanks

Chapter 3: Diagon Alley

“Lily, wait up!” Lily heard her brother Albus hollering after her as they got out of the family van by the Leaky Cauldron pub in London.

“Come on, guys!”

“Hold on Lil, we’ve got to wait for your mum, brothers, cousins and aunt and uncle, dear!” Harry told her as he tried to stop his runaway daughter.

“But daddy, we’ve got to get into Diagon Alley.” she said, trying to get out of his grasp.

“Haha, we will, hun.”

Lily stopped trying to get out of her fathers grasp and she stood there waiting impatiently for her mum and the others.

“I think we should’ve left Lily at home!” Ginny joked as she walked up to them with the others closely behind.

“MUM!” she complained as they all laughed.

The walked into the pub and towards the back. As they passed, her parents stopped to talk to a few people they recognized. Once in the back, Harry took out his wand and tapped the brick wall five times. The bricks started shifting in all directions to form the entrance to Diagon Alley.

“Why don’t we split up. It’ll make getting the kids’ stuff easier.” Ron suggested.

“I’ll take Rose and Albus. Hermione, you can take James and Albus.” Ginny told Hermione.

“I guess, that leaves me and you, Lil.” Harry told his youngest daughter as she grabbed her father’s hand.

“Meet back at the Ice Cream Parlor?” Hermione asked.

“Always do!” Harry said to Ginny and they went their separate ways.

“So, Lil. Where to first?”

“I want to get my wand!”

“Ollivander’s it is then.” Harry laughed. Lily had been wanting her wand ever since James first got his.

They walked by places like, Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions, Pottidge’s Cauldron Shop, Twilfitt and Tatting’s, Eelops Owl Emporium, and Flourish and Blotts, until finally reaching Ollivander’s Wand Shop. There was a sign plastered above the door: Maker’s of Fine Wands since 382 B.C. Lily and Harry walked in and discovered that Ollivander was no where in site.

“Mr. Ollivander?” Harry asked.

Mr. Ollivander came out from the back of the store where he was doing some store maintenance. “Hello, Mr. Potter. I see young Lily is here to get her wand. Off to Hogwarts this year eh, Miss Potter?”

“Yes, sir.” Lily answered excitedly.

Ollivander began going through his many boxes of un-used wands to find the one that would fit Lily. She watched him excitedly as he pulled one out from a nearby shelf. He opened it, handed Lily the wand and she flicked it. BOOM! Boxes of wands began flying all over the shop.

“Oh, no. That won’t do!” said Ollivander as he took back the wand. He took the wand Lily had and put it back; before he got her another, he took his own from his pocket and cleaned up Lily’s mess.

Ollivander found another wand and she tried it. CRASH! And glass from the store window began to shatter and screams could be heard out in the streets of Diagon Alley.

“No, no, no, no, no. That definitely won’t do!” Ollivander said as he cast Reparo on the store window.

“I-I’m sorry, sir.” Lily apologized as he put the wand back in the box.

“There’s nothing to be sorry about young Lily. It happens all the time when young witches and wizards come in for their wands.” he said as he handed her another wand.

She felt a burst of warmth come into her. It started at her fingertips and went all the way to her toes. A burst of light that almost blinded her emanated from the wand. “Oh, well done, Miss Potter. The wand has chosen its owner: Rosewood, Mermaid Hair, twelve point three inches. Superb job, just let me package it and it’s yours.” Ollivander went in back to package Lily’s wand and he soon returned to the front and handed it to her.

“That will be six galleons.” Harry paid for Lily’s wand. They told Mr. Ollivander good-bye and walked out of the shop.

“How ‘bout we go get your robes, hun?”

“Sure, daddy.” she said, not letting go of her wand.

They made their way to Madam Malkin‘s, when Harry ran into his old school friend Dean Thomas. They began talking and Lily noticed a shop where she been hoping to get her dad something for his birthday. She over at her father and Mr. Thomas who were both talking and took the opportunity to sneak away.

Harry looked around and Lily was no where in sight. “Dean, have you seen Lily?”

“I think she walked into that shop over there.” Dean pointed to the Magical Instruments shop.

“Thanks, Dean. I’ll see you later.” Harry said as he made his way over to the Magical Instruments shop.

“Bye, Harry!” Dean said and went towards the stationary store.

Harry looked around the store and spotted Lily by the checkout counter. “There you go, Miss. Hope your father likes it!” he heard the store clerk say to Lily as she grabbed the wrapped package.

“Oh, hi daddy!”

“Lilian. You don’t run off on me like that! Even though I was talking to Mr. Thomas, you still could have told me where you were going.” Harry told his daughter.

“I-I’m sorry, daddy,” she said, hoping he wouldn’t ask what was in the package.

“It’s okay, come on, we’ve still got to get your other supplies,” he told her as they walked out of the shop and headed towards Madam Malkin‘s. Once inside, the store manager came over and greeted them.

“Hello, Mr. Potter! I see your daughter is here to get her robes. This way miss.” Lily followed her to the back and Harry took a seat.

Harry waited for about fifteen minutes until Lily finally came back out. “She’s all set Mr. Potter. I’ll wrap up her robes and you may go.” A store clerk brought Lily out and Harry paid for her robes.

Harry and Lily walked out of the shop and Harry asked, “So where do you want to go to next Lil?”

“Ohhh, daddy! Can we go to Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes? I want to see Uncle George.” Lily asked.

“I suppose a few minutes wouldn’t hurt.” Harry told her with a smile.

Harry and Lily walked by many shops as they made their way towards Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes. Lily spotted an owl as they passed Eelops Owl Emporium and she turned to Harry and asked, “Daddy, look.”

“What, hun?”

“Daddy, look at that owl!” Lily got excited as she pointed to a small brown and white owl. “Isn’t he cute!? Can I have him?”

“I don’t know Lil. He looks awfully expensive.” Harry said as he looked at the price tag. “Why don’t I talk to your mother and maybe we can get it later.”

“But, daddy!”

“Lily. Don’t argue or you won’t get it!” Harry told her. “Now come on, you wanted to see your Uncle George.” He said as they went towards Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes.

“Hiya, Harry, Lily!” Harry and Lily could hear George’s voice.

“Hey, George.”

“What’s the matter, Lil?” George asked, seeing the look of disappointment on her face.

“Daddy wouldn’t let me get an owl that I wanted.” Lily said as Harry whispered into George’s and told her about the owl. George just smiled.

Lily, Harry and George spent a few minutes talking when Harry finally told Lily, “I suppose we’d better get to the Ice Cream Parlor and meet the others.” Harry said as he started to lead Lily outside.

“Bye, Uncle George!” Lily gave her uncle a hug and walked to the Ice Cream Parlor with her father.

“What’s wrong Lil?” Hugo asked as she and Harry had walked into the Ice Cream Parlor.

“Oh, she’s mad because dad wouldn’t let her go out with a cute guy she saw.” Albus laughed.

“Shut up, Al!” Lily said angrily, as she put her items down on the table where Rose was sitting.

“Ohhhh, she must be really mad!” Albus taunted his sister.

The Potters and Weasleys enjoyed the rest of the day talking and eating ice cream. After a fun fulfilled day at Diagon Alley, Lily was disappointed when they finally decided to go back home.

Chapter 4: Platform 9 3/4 & Hogwarts Express

Once again, Lily was jumping up and down on her parent's bed. It was eight o'clock in the morning and everyone was of course still sleeping. She was dressed, all packed, and ready to go to Hogwarts.

"Mum, daddy, wake up!"

"Okay, okay. Why don't you go wake the others and we'll be downstairs in awhile." Lily didn't have to be told twice. She ran to her brothers' and cousins' room because she knew that they would be the hardest to wake up.

"So you excited about going to Hogwarts?" Ginny asked Lily when she came downstairs from waking the others.

"Are you kidding? She hasn't stopped talking about it all summer!" said Albus as he came down the stairs.

"Shut up, Al!" Lily told her obnoxious brother.

"It's true."

"Alright you two. Sit at the table while I go and see if the others are ready." Ginny said as she gave them some breakfast and walked upstairs.

"So which house do you think you'll be in?" asked Albus as he stuffed his face with scrambled eggs.

"Al, you know as well as I do that this whole family has been in Gryffindor." Lily said as she, too, began to stuff her face with food.

"Yea, but there's always that chance you could be put in another house. Remember dad telling us that there were twin sisters in his year and one was sorted into Gryffindor, the other Ravenclaw?" Albus asked.

"Yea.." Lily told him.

"Well, see, there's always that chance that you could be put into another house."

"Don't tease your sister like that." said Harry as the others followed him down the stairs for breakfast.

"Right, sorry dad." Albus said and continued eating.

"Better hurry up and get something to eat because we leave in a few hours." Molly told the others; everyone grabbed a plate and got their breakfast.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Come on everyone, we're running late!" Hermione said to the others as they made their way to columns nine and ten at Kings Cross Station.

"Hermione, cool down! We're right on time." Ron said looking up at the clock on one of the pillars; it read ten-thirty.

"Oh, right. I just wanted the children to get on the train on time." she said.

"Okay. I think Rose and Hugo should go first." said Arthur as Hugo and Rose went in front and ran between columns nine and ten. James and Albus, Molly and Arthur, and Ron and Hermione followed Rose and Hugo onto the platform.

"Well, Lily." Harry looked at his daughter. "It's your turn." Harry was right; it was her turn. She wasn't watching her brothers and cousins getting on the train and going to Hogwarts as she remained behind. She was now the one getting on the train and going to the famous wizarding school.

Lily took a breath and ran towards the barrier. It seemed to take forever to get through, but she looked to find her family when she finally did make it through. Lily looked over to the left and noticed a man with white hair talking to her family.

"You better watch it, Malfoy." Lily heard her Uncle Ron say. She moved closer and saw that it was a man she knew by her father's description. It was none other than Draco Malfoy.

"What are you going to do, Weaselby?" Draco asked as Ron began to pull out his wand.

"RON! Not in front of the children." Hermione yelled.

"Haha, you better listen to your mudblood good for nothing wife, there Weasleby. You wouldn't want to hurt any of your brats, now would you?" Draco sneered as he looked towards his son and said, "Come on Scorpius, lets find you a seat that's nowhere near this sorry lot."

"What was that all about?" Harry asked.

"Nothing. Come on. Lets get the kids on the train." Ron said as he led Rose and Hugo to the train.

Once on the train, Lily, Rose, Hugo, James and Albus found a cabin and Lily put down the window so they could say good-bye.

"Bye mum, bye daddy!" Lily yelled.

"Bye Lily! James, Albus watch out for your sister." Harry hollered to his two sons.

"Don't worry, dad. We'll make sure she doesn't get eaten by the Giant Squid in the Black Lake!" Albus laughed.

"Albus Serveus Potter!" Harry got after his son, once again.

"Sorry, dad!"

The train pulled out of Kings Cross and the parents watched it go until it was out of sight.

Back on the train, the Potter/Weasley children sat down and began to talk.

"So, Lil, do you think you'll get sorted into Gryffindor like the rest of us?" Rose asked while letting her cat Pepper out of her cage.

"I hope so. I'll be disappointed if I don't get in!"

"Yea, I'm sure mum and dad would be too. I'd laugh if you didn't get into Gryffindor and then got a Howler saying, 'Lilian Ginerva Potter. We are so ashamed that you didn't get into Gryffindor. You have discraced the name of Potter!" Albus laughed.

"Al!" James got after his brother for making fun of their sister like that.

"What?" Albus asked.

James just rolled his eyes and the lady with sweets came to their cabin and asked, "Anything from the trolly, dears?"

"I'll have a Chocolate Frog and two Pumpkin Pasties please." Lily said as she dug into her pocket and got out some change.

The others got what they wanted, too. Lily opened her Chocolate Frog and said in excitement, "I've got daddy!"

"I've got tons of his." said Hugo.

"Uh, I've got another one of Aunt Ginny. Not that I don't mind, it's just I need one of mum." Rose said as she opened her Chocolate Frog.

"Oh, I've got like three of Aunt Hermione. I'll trade you one of mum's for one of hers." said James as he gave Rose on of her mum's cards.

"Hey, thanks James."

The train ride to Hogwarts seemed to take forever. Lily was getting antsy; her and Rose spent the time talking about the different classes, teachers, ghosts, and etcetera. After what seemed like a life time, the Hogwarts Express pulled into Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry.

Chapter 5: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

“We’re here, we’re finally here!” Lily said as she looked out the window of their cabin and saw Hogsmeade Station, the last stop for Hogwarts students. Lily grabbed her bag while Rose put Pepper back in her cage.

“Lil, wait up!” James hollered after his sister, but she was already gone.

The others got off the train and caught up with Lily who was staring at something terrifying.

“What’s wrong Lil?” Hugo asked his cousin, who pointed her finger toward Hagrid.

“Oh, that’s Hagrid. Don’t you remember dad telling us stories about him?” Albus asked Lily.

“Yea.” Lily said as she hid behind James.

“Hagrid. Yo, Hagrid!” Hugo hollered for the half-giant to come over.

“Why ‘ello there. ‘N how’re the Potter and Weasley family doin’ this year?” Hagrid asked happily as he came to greet them.

“Hey Hagrid. There’s someone we want you to meet.” Albus said as he tried to pull Lily out from behind James, but she just shook her head.

“Oh, come on, he won’t hurt you!” said Albus as he pulled Lily from behind James.

“Why if it ain’t Miss Lily Potter.” Hagrid said happily.

“H-how do you know my name?” Lily asked him in surprise.

“You’re the last Potter to come to Hogwarts, ain’t ya?” Hagrid asked.

“Yea, but…” Lily started.

“Well, yer brothers ‘n’ cousins here haven’t stopped talkin’ ‘bout ya comin’ this year.” Hagrid said as he took out his pocket watch and noticed it was getting late.

“Well Miss Potter. I suppose we’d better get you ‘n’ the other firsties on the boats ‘n’ to the school.” Hagrid said as Lily followed him to the boats.

“We’ll see ya in there Lil!” Rose yelled after her cousin as she and the others went to get on the carriages.

Back at the boats while Lily was waiting to get on, a small, blonde haired girl came up to her and said, “Hi. I’m Abigail Perse. What’s your name?”

“Lilian Potter.” Lily said.

“Are you related to Harry Potter?” Abby asked hopefully.

“Yep. Sure am. He’s my father.”

“Woah, way cool!” Abby said as she and Lily got into a boat.

“So which house do you think you’ll be sorted into? My family was in Hufflepuff.” Abby said proudly.

“Mine is in Gryffindor. I’ve got two brothers and two cousins in Gryffindor right now. So I don’t think that’ll be a problem for me.” Lily said. The boats pulled up to Hogwarts and Lily exclaimed, “Wow. My brothers talked about how big Hogwarts was, but I didn’t expect it to be this huge!”

After getting off the boats, the two girls walked towards the castle and Lily got more nervous and more excited with each step she took. Once inside, Lily saw a man waiting for the first years.

“Hello and welcome to Hogwarts. I’m Professor Neville Longbottom. Deputy Headmaster, head of Gryffindor House, and Herbology teacher here at Hogwarts. You will walk through the doors and must be sorted." Professor Longbottom said and he motioned the first years to follow him into the Great Hall.

Lily looked up and noticed the candles and bewitched ceiling as she and the others walked into the Great Hall. She looked to find her brothers and cousins at the table on Lily’s right. Albus saw Lily and nudged James. James looked over at Lily and winked, assuring her that everything would be okay.

Once at the front, Neville picked up the Sorting Hat. Lily was hoping that she wouldn’t be called first. She knew she’d get called, she just didn’t want to be the first.

“Matthew, Lucas.” Neville called.

“Hufflepuff!” the Sorting Hat shouted and Lily watched Lucas run to the table to the left of where were her family was sitting.

“Burch, Broderick.”

“Ravenclaw!”

“Malfoy, Scorpius.” Lily watched as Scorpius walked up to Professor Longbottom and take a seat on the stool.

“Another Malfoy, eh? Haven’t had a Malfoy here since your father left. There’s no doubt that you don’t belong in….. Slytherin!” the Sorting Hat whispered in his ear and Scorpius went to the Slytherin table where a fifth year patted him on the back as he sat down.

“Perse, Abigail.” Abby looked at Lily and Lily gave Abby a nudge forward.

“Gryffindor!” the sorting hat called and Abby’s jaw dropped; so did Lily’s. She guessed Albus was right about what he had told them before they had gone to Kings Cross.

“Potter, Lilian.” Neville called. It was the longest walk up to the Sorting Hat. Professor Longbottom put the Sorting Hat on her head.

“Ah! Another Potter.. Brave, but very stubborn as well. I know just what to do with you.” the Sorting Hat whispered. Lily thought he would never say it. She would be so devastated if she didn’t get into Gryffindor. “GRYFFINDOR!” the Sorting Hat yelled. Lily sighed in relief as she went to take a seat next to Abby. She looked down the table at her brothers and cousins who all gave her a thumbs up. Lily couldn’t believe she made it into Gryffindor. She watched the other first years get sorted, some of them crying because they didn’t get into the house they wanted.

The feast started and Lily couldn’t get over how much food there was. There was more food than what Lily’s grandmother makes at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Professor Longbottom got up and said, “Prefects, it’s time to lead your houses to your Common Rooms. You’ve got classes tomorrow and you don’t want to be tired.”

Once in the Gryffindor Common Room, Percival Mounting, Gryffindor Prefect said, “First years, I want you to take a look at the notice board. There is a list of names of your room assignments. Once you find your roommates, you are to go to bed.” he said and he walked over to some of his fifth year friends.

Lily walked over to the notice board and looked to see who she’d be rooming with. Potter was towards the end of the list and Lily saw:

Abigail Perse
Michelle Persha
Lilian Potter -----> Rm. 22
Otara Stooler
Christina Tingblad

“Hey Abby!” Lily called for Abigail and she came over and said, “Yea?”

“You and I are roommates. We should get the others we're rooming with and find room twenty-two.” Lily said as she and Abby started looking for the others in the croud of Gryffindors.

Lily was exhausted. She was nervous, yet excited about her first day of classes. She found herself reading a book, but soon drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
