[ This is just something I'm randomly putting together. I love to mess around with the plots of CSI. In this, CSI Nick Stokes has died, and his fiancee' Lola Andrews and his best friend Greg Sanders must get through it. And throughout this, they realize that maybe they are meant to be more than just close friends. I'll be continuing this as much as possible! Thanks for reading! ]
"Even if I say It'll be alright
Still I hear you say you want to end your life"
"Maybe this is just a game, a sick, twisted plot to destroy our lives before our loved ones' very eyes," whispered a terrified, broken Lola Andrews as she stared into space. A man, just a few years older, smiled sadly at her; Greg Sanders put his hand on her arm."I-I'm sorry, Lola," he whispered and looked down."H-he was..." he started, but he knew the words would be of no help to her. Lola looked up at him; her eyes were wet from the saline tears fighting to come through, showing Greg just how much it hurt to lose him...Her life; he reason for existance. Greg was hurting with her, but he wouldn't allow himself to show it. "N-nick was my friend, too...I-I truly am sorry, Lola...I wanted to do something, help him, but I was no where near him," he whispered, his voice cracking slightly. They were best friends, he and Nick Stokes. Lola looked up at him."What happened, Greg?" she asked, before the tears took over. Akwardly, Greg hugged her, almost as if he was her brother."He was following a suspect, and they shot at the tires...H-He lost con-control of the truck," he said, not able to finish it."I-It...went over...the side...of the..." she said between sobs. She collapsed and Greg bent down with her. He now had a stray tear down his face. Lola's whole body was shaking as she sobbed, not even noticing Greg's arms around her.
Finally she looked up at Greg and moved his arms from her."Greg...thanks..." she started, but she fell into the pool of tears again. His eyes strained as he looked at her broken form."I'm sorry, Lola," he whispered again, and walked toward the the door. She looked up and saw him leave."G-Greg," she called, and he turned to her."T-thank you f-for being the one to tell me," she whispered, and he walked to her again. She hugged him gently."It'll be alright," he whispered in her ear, then went to the door. Lola gave a little half-wave and he left her.
