Now I myself love to write. And I kept thinking of what I thought were good ideas, and then I would stop and tell myself it was boring. But after I finished the Harry Potter series, I realized that all of my ideas were good, it's just that I didn't give it enough time. And now I'm really close to finishing a book.
I also think it's really cool how she was just looking at a field of cows sitting on a train when she thought of Harry Potter. That's basically how I thought of my story too. Except I was bored in a car looking at a bunch of buildings.
JKR is so inspiring, and if you love to write, then you should definatly read her story. Maybe you too will think of and become something great.

I've been inspired by a number of writers but JKR is definitely among them. I've always enjoyed writing and it wasn't until high school that I found out I have a knack for writing. My law teacher told my mom at parents night that he was very impressed with my opening and closing statements and that the way I put words to paper just baffled him. So naturally my mom felt very proud and was being stared at by all the other kid's parents.

Needless to say I'm currently working on my first book and it seems it's going to be a series. I never thought I'd be a writer and I too felt my ideas were stupid or boring and no one would ever give my thoughts the time of day. But reading HP and others books out there, made me realize that I do have good ideas and to go with them. It's amazing to watch a story unfold, practically write itself and know that you did it. Even if it never becomes a best seller...I wrote a book, which is no easy feat.

Inspired, inspired??? I was emotionally moved, she has become my idol, my role model! When I grow up, I want to be an author-but I have a fear of being rejected. Many publishing companies rejected Jo, but did she give up? NO! She kept on fighting. And now she's one of the richest women, with her imagination one of the best known in the world! So yes, I was very inspired by JK Rowling.

Yes I did I am actually writting a sequel starting with the last chapter of book 7 and working my way up to the epilouge. I do plan on going further than the epilouge though especially if I can get it published. But I have trying to find a way to get ahold of JKR, but of course I have not yet found it. If anyone can help me out that would be very much appreciated.

The first chapter of my book may be seen by the link in my siggy!

I honestly and sincerely have to say that J.K Rowling is one of my biggest idols. She taught me that it's ok to feel a connection to your characters, and to never give up when trying to publish a book. I can only imagine how sick those publishers are who rejected her tongue.gif
I loved writing, but when I saw Jo's style I quickly changed mine to be a tad more descriptive. Everything about J.K inspired me, her creativity, her bravery, her kindness, her writing for charity and especially her intelligence. wub.gif
I only have one question-does she have a biography?? huh.gif

jk r has truly inspried me. the way she writes and her imagination is absolutely amazing. not only did she come up with a story line and characters she created a whole other world. one of the main reasons that i think she is so amazing is because her character seem real because they have flaws and you feel their emotions.
she is one of the few writers that really create characters that capture your heart like the ones in harry potter.
she never gave up on her books and kept going until they were finally published.
she is truly amazing and i fell extremely fortunate to have been able to read her books.
