Eyes Like Ice
Chapter 8
Arabelle's eyes flew open in the dark dormitory. She sat up, sure she'd heard something.
"Hello?" She called. The window flew open and a jet of light shot through the window before she could scream. She was paralized; someone had hit he with a body-bind curse. she struggled against it, but she couldn't move or utter a sound. Someone jumped through the window and grabbed her. For a moment she caught her kidnapper's eye; blue and colder than ice. So familiar but different in every way.
~~Later~~
Arabelle eyed her wand, 9 3/4 inches, cherry wood, dragon heartstring. It was only a few feet away. If only she could reach it. She struggled against the ropes that held her against the chair. It was a wasted effort.
"Told you has he?" A high cold voice said. It echoed off the walls.
"What?" Arabelle said. She knew it would be horrible for all involved if he knew that she knew.
"Don't play dumb, silly little girl."
"I-I don't know what you're talking about!" Arabelle said.
"Oh. Perhaps maybe this'll jog your memory then?" The voice sneered. The owner of the voice came into view. Pale and snakelike, just as she had been told. "Crucio!" He yelled, and before she knew what was happening, a horrible, searing pain ripped through Arabelle's body. It covered every inch, from the very tips of her fingers to the very tips of her toes. She screamed and writhed, but movement only seemed to make it worse. Suddenly the pain was cut off. Breathing heavily, Arabelle noticed that she had knocked the chair over and was starring at the ceiling. She could only see out of the corner of one eye, for her long dark hair was swooped over her face. She shook it out of the way.
"Do you remember him mentioning it now?" Voldemort said.
"N-No!" Arabelle stammered. She wouldn't give in to him. She was stronger than this.
"I think you are lying. And I don't like liars." Voldemort sneered.
The pain burned through her again, like knives cutting into her skin. She screamed and heard Voldemort's hig, merciless laugh.
No. She would not give him the satisfaction of hurting her. She bit her lip, trying to stifle her screams. She bit down harder and harder until she started tasting blood. Again, the horrible pain was cut off. Arabelle laid still, her mouth filled with blood. The chair was tipped forward and she was upright again. The sudden movement made her dizzy and the salty taste of the blood mixed with the horrible pain made her want to throw up.
"You know." Voldemort said. Arabelle said nothing. "I cannot have that." Arabelle looked up. "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Chapter 9
"NO!" A voice yelled. It caught Voldemort by surprise and he moved his wand; the spell missed Arabelle by a quarter of an inch. The ropes binding her exploded and Arabelle lept out of the chair. Strong, familiar arms caught her and spun her around. Scorpius set her on the floor behind him. "Run!" He yelled at her. "Get out!"
"But--"
"Go!"
But Voldemort had locked the door. There was no escaping.
"Accio Arabelle!" He said. It was like there was an invisable force pulling her towards him. She struggled against it but nothing worked. Voldemort caught her and pointed his wand at her heart.
"Don't do anything to her!" Scorpius yelled. "I'll--I'll fight you if I have to!"
"Oh yes, because I've very afraid of a wandless 15 year old." Voldemort rolled his bright red, snakeish eyes. "I'm sorry, Scorpius. I was under the impression that you were working for me." He shot a worried glance at Arabelle. She shook her head with the littlest movement imaginable, undetectable to someone not watching extremly carefully for it.
"I-I am, my Lord." He said.
"Then why, might I ask, are you so concerned about this Mudblood?" He asked.
"Mudblood? You told me you were a pureblood!" Scorpius yelled at Arabelle.
"Why on Earth would you've cared to save this Mudblood liar then, Scorpius?"
"I thought spilling magical blood was a waste." Scorpius said.
"Yes. Indeed it is. Well, since there's not one drop of magic in her dirty blood, why don't you do the honors then, Scorpius?"
Scorpius looked at him in absolute horror.
"Better yet, why don't you take after your dear great aunt Bella! It'll make the show more....entertaining. Oh yes that's right, Scorpius! What better time than now to learn such advanced magic as this? Go ahead, try to put the Cruciatus curse on your dear little Mudblood friend."

Note: I forgot to say that Arabelle never lied to Scorpius about being a pureblood. Scorpius made that up to cover up him liking her.
