I think they're great! I LOVE the one about Dobby. Just reading it brought back the memory when I was reading the part when he died. I have to admit tears resurfaced! The one about Luna was really neat too. You went through the whole stage of her life that we know about. Very cool. And the Hogwarts one is simple, clean and very true, Great Job!! My Favorite poem is Dobby's though!

Oh goody! I am happy you liked them. I will put more up once I make more. I have to have that feeling to be able an write a poem. I have a few non Harry Potter ones but I won't post them unless someone asks. I new you'd like the Dobby one the best. I just had to point out his grave was hand dug. Becuase Harry gave his on sweat and labor for the heroic elf. I am currently working on a Kreacher poem. I was so glad when Kreacher became nice to Harry. I feel so like Hermione, loving house elfs and stuff. Soon I will be knitting little hats for them. Ha ha ha...

The Kreacher poem is really good! I like it, and the Luna one made me laugh. I wish there was an area just for poetry on here. Anyway, I agree with Dawn; the one about Dobby brought up some lost memories.

Keep writing!

Thank you mugglelovrspew! I am happy someone else likes them. Your right they need to make an area just for poetry. Maybe a moderator will see mine and yours post and decide on making a poetry area. Now remember this if anyone has a request for a poem to be put up just send me a PM. I will do my best to make a poem for whatever you ask.

I LOVED IT!!! That was an awesome poem. I just love how you go through their cycles. If you never read HP you'd know what the character is about just by the poem! So Kreacher is now my Favorite along with Dobby's of course!
I totally agree with mugglelovrspew...KEEP WRITING!
BRAVO ENCORE!!!

I feel all giddy right now!

I am so happy you like it. I now have a total of three fans, my teacher,
Hermione17, and
mugglelovrspew. I am going to write more, hopefully, after school today. The problem is I have tons of makeup work to do. We'll see, Bye!

School comes first!!!! I can wait. Besides creativity has to flow freely, it can't be forced. So whenever you have another poem let me know. Did you show your teacher the Dobby, Kreacher, Luna and Hogwarts poems?

Lucky for you I was really bored in math class. So I just wrote some great poems. I am going to post them up right now. Oh, and no I have only showed her some of my non-Harry Potter ones. Soon I will show her though, since she does like my poetry. Well I am so excited about posting my new poems. Bye!

I really like the Sirius one! It's great, and perfect for the setting and what not. The Fred and George one made me laugh just because of that extra 'Boom!' at the end. And you need to show her some of your HP ones because they're really good. Oh, I would love to hear some of your other ones. Maybe you could PM them to me?

Awww..I really liked Sirus's Gift. Reading it made me think of the picture of Harry zooming around on his first broom! You captured that very well! And the twins...well who doesn't just LOVE Fred and George! I'm glad the toad was mad, and I was also sad when they left Hogwarts. You really should show these to your teacher...they're really great! And I wanna see some of your other ones too! So, don't forget about me

HAHA Journey Through Lake made me laugh. It's just like Creevey to fall in. I'm sure Peeves nailed Creevey too seeing as though he fell in. HAHA! I really love Curse. It's very true that beauty lies inside. Poor Bill... You expressed that poem very very well. I'm sure Harry would love the Nimbus 2000 poem. Just like the great Hall, it's short, sweet and to the point. I like them all...my favorite though is Curse. I just really love how you captured what happened to Bill and basically not to judge a book by it's cover and looks aren't everything when you're in love. Awesome poems!

Goody! I am happy you liked them. I found out I make the best poems when at school. While we were supposed to be reading Romeo and Juliet. Well I just thought of the love in the book so I made a connection with harry potter. Soon I had written Curse. At the end of class my teacher asked how far I got. I responded with "I was really writing poetry." She smiled knowing I was smart enough to skip the leason on Romeo and Juliet. Well tomorrow I have school so I will most likely pop out a new poem!

LOL! I love Romeo and Juliet! Creative writing usually comes at the strangest times. I'm writing a novel and I'll have the urge to wright at like 3 in morning or while I'm at the gym or grocery shopping. It's crazy! I'm glad you're so smart...but remember...school comes first! I can't wait to see the next poem that pours out of your mind!

I added a new poem everyone. Its pretty long. When I first written in my journal it was two pages long! I was like WOAH! My teacher thought it was truely amazing but I still won't let her read it. I guess I am scared she will find mess-ups and tell me to correct them.

Awwww these are so sweet! You have a real talent for poetry^^ you always seem to know which words fit and where to put them. My favourite was the one about Dobby. just fromt he opening line you establish his character and in every poem your flow is perfect for the theme.

. Everyone seems to love "Dobby" It is my favorite too. I may even make more about him and also I may make one on S.P.E.W. But first I have to finish this one I am working on for DeSs. By the way do have any clue on what I should call my last poem the one about Gringotts?

Aw, thank you so, so much for that poem! I really liked it! Well, I think the part of "Ron oh so stupid" is a bit ... out of place, because he's certainly not, but otherwise, I liked it
And as I told you before, your poems are lovely! Keep on!

PS: I might have a shot to your request, to earn another poem

I see you're fan of Haiku, and they're lovely by the way.

I am as well, so that works with me. They're short and sweet and you get straight to the point. Ron and Hermione was great! It's so sweet how you put it; Treasure from afar is a little bit long for me, but I still like it. I've never been a huge fan of poetry, but I love reading different styles, and it' pretty good. Have you ever thought about writing in Iambic Pentameter? It might work really well with some of your other poems, by doing them in a lot of different styles. Just a suggestion.
Curse is my favorite from what I read tonight! It's simple and practical for wizards, haha. Sorry it took so long to give you feedback, dear.

Yes, I am a fan of Haiku. I love becuase it keeps a person guessing and wondering. Its quite funny really the kids in my english class are not that bright. You should have heard there guesses. But I like to think about a poem but I never ask what does it mean, sometimes I do but I try not too. One thing everyone should know is: Never ask what a poem means! It means different things to defferent people. I have used one of my poems in Iambic Pentameter. There fun to make! I should post one soon. No worrys about you not stopping by for a while.

Loony'sCool, the talented writer,
Tells of the house-elf, the treasure, the fighter,
His words flow free and beautifully set
A more wonderful poet I have never met!
I really loved the Ron and Hermione poem^^ it was adorable!

It was concise, you used little words to describe so much

Well done!

lol! I am a guy! Maybe its becuase I have a lot of friends that are girls and sometimes I can understand girls better than most guys, which makes me seem like a girl. I don't know. I just wanted to let you know I am a male!
I loved the poem, It was great! I am happy you enjoyed them. I need to change some things to make me more manly. I just don't want more people to think I am a girl, no offense to girls.

Agghhh!!! I'm so sorry!!! Please don't stone me *whimpers*
I actually thought you were a girl because of your username, very cynical of me, my apologies and because most of the active users on this forum are female. And because I have never known another male poet. And don't worry about the girl thing, I had that too at first^^
Out of interest, how often do you update, that is to say post a new poem?

So your guy too?
hahaha wasn't that obvious?
Sorry anyway, I wanted to ask if you can write limericks, if so, who or what would you write a limerick about?
I went to see Hagrid one day
And was pleasantly prompted to stay
For he had a dragon
That fell off a wagon
And liked to eat teacakes with hay

I have only ever tried. I think I can write them about anything that my mind comes across. What brought you to ask that question? @_@
harryjpotter
Apr 18 2009, 08:42 PM
What prompted me was that there are a few different poetic styles you have used and I wondered if you like to write with a more constricted rhythm and also that your talent for concise descriptions would be well suitedd to this style.

Ah I see! I love writing in free verse, but I am currently working on my fan fic, and using some new poetic styles. Most likely I will still right free verse. Now that Limerick I tried writing was so bad. Thats probally the worst poem I have ever wrote.

I loved loved loved this new poem! Oh, thank you so much! It was a good choice to give you free will on chosing a scene, wasn't it?

I am happy you liked it! Its one of my favorites by far. Also its one of my favorite scenes out of HBP. I can't wait to see it in the movie. I have a nagging question that has been killing me! I say "Favorite," but a lot of other people say "Favourite." Am I spelling it wrong, or is it just some region type thing. Like do they spell it different in different places. I am from U.S. and thats how I spell it "Favorite?"
Hermione17
May 3 2009, 08:56 PM
I loved "The Talk". That was hilarious!!!
"Ron and Hermione"...So so true. you captured that one perfectly!
And that leaves me with "Treasure from afar". I love how you took that entire scene and shrunk it. If you didn't read the book, you would know exactly what happened by reading the poem. It summed it up perfectly!
Great job! Once again I love them all...I hope Passerby can find out how the others were deleted. It's a good thing you have these all saved somewhere. I can't wait to see some more!!

That bunny poem was so sad. I'm sorry you had to see something like that...I have tears in my eyes for sure! I'm a huge animal lover to say the least. Great job on the poem...you captured the event and sadness really well.
I also read Hogsmeade Afternoon. I really liked it. The way you portrayed the scene was really innovative. Again, if no one read the book or saw the movie they could get a really good idea of what happened just by the poem. EXCELLENT! I loved it.
Ravenclaw..one of my favorite founders! This poem rings so true and I love how captured her very essence. I really like this one!
Great job! I also spell Favorite like you...you're not wrong, I think there are two ways to spell it

Dawn~~~I hope to read more soon, when you're not so busy with your fanfic and all.
