Hi biggrin.gif ,

I have looked for a thread like this but couldn't find one so if there is one please forgive my unseeing eyes and the fact that I obviousely can't use the search tool properly. happy.gif

So,
yeah...Do you go to a mixed school or a all Girl/Boy school and what do you think about it?

I went to a mixed primary school but my grammar school is all girl and it annoys me sooo much. There just isn't quite as much excitement as there was in primary school mainly because we used to rely on the boys to cause the trouble and the sort of trouble the girls make is sooo much more different and less entertaining. Stupid really.... dry.gif

Its all about spel out rude words with gum underneathe the desks and putting phone in the ceiling so when they vibrate it makes a weird sound....(don't ask) whereas I am sure if we had a few boys in our school it would be much more....interesting.

I'm not saying boys are born to misbehave but ... it just isn't the same without them. sad.gif

My schools were mixed too. I found it better because you have more opportunity to learn to communicate with the opposite gender and feel comfortable around them from an early age and it also broadens friendship possibilities^^
Ok so school wasn't the nicest thing but a mixed school was ok.

I go to a public high school in the US (Yeah, I know), and I like it better just because without guys, our school would be chaos! Girls have much more of a tendency to be really harsh, emotional, and just plain out mean, while most guys I know just throw a few punches and then are friends again. wacko.gif I like it because a lot of my friends are guys. There are some guys I would like to throw out in the street because they don't care about they're education, but I don't think I could survive and all girls school.

yup,
All girls schools suck, they drain the interest and life out of the week days and they tend to be more vicouse and less laid back. Everything matters at an all girls school, everyone cares about how you look or how you act and no one can really accept you for who you are....unless they are a decent person of course but everything is so exaggerated decency kind of gets drowned out......or it does at my school anyway. dry.gif

Its just too tense, I bet you an all boy school or even a mixed school would be laid back enough to have enough space to breath without worrying someone is gonna have a pop at you because you don't roll your skirt up so high there is no point in wearing one or not having your hair clipped across your face so you can't see. I mean there is nothing wrong with rolling skirts or side fringes and whatever I'm fine with it, its just when it is made so extreme that it is ridiculouse and then people expect you to copy them and then make fun of you when you don't......its just plain annoying.....not to mention immature....

Yes, a mixed school would definitly be less childish, more acceptable more friendly and I would say an all round more enjoyable school....

....wow I love to rant. happy.gif

I go to a public school in Canada and I am ok with it. I mean some of the guys are rude and obnoxious most of the time and some of the girls are snooty to the other girls but we all get along through the days. We have our occasional fights and brokens noses but the principal deals with it and everything goes back to normal. Or as normal as it was before... Anyways I am pleased with my school and would not change schools for anything (Well, maybe if I could meet Tom Felton wub.gif ...O well...)

I go to a state mixed school. Some of the boys are nearly always a pain in the backside but i'm kinda used to it. I like it here... I just guess that if it was only girls then it would be soooo boring and it wouldnt be the same...

Umm... all of this basically. I guess no-one likes our school, eh? Can't wait till I get to leave.

We have all these social pressures and it's true what they say about all-girls school girls being more like s**ts... it really is.

honey~pie laugh.gif I used to have that avi! It's great!

Okay, back to the question. I have always attended public schools...since childhood. I don't know what it is about private schools that seems somehow to intimidate me...blink.gif And don't get me wrong I think in some ways private schools can be interesting. Currently I go to a public co-ed high school in a small town in a somewhat small state....it's all very homey.

I like mixed schools because I find there is some comfort in having all kinds of people boys and girls in one place. Co-ed schools give you a chance to associate with everyone and have boy and girl friends. All-girl shcools don't sound half-bad, but I suppose it would get a little frustrating sometimes.

I won't complain about my school situation...it's okay I suppose. It's fun, and yeah sometimes there are certain parts of it that can be a downer but others are great. Such as the fact that although we do have a dress-code we don't have a uniform. It gives everyone a sense of individuality.

But, hey, no matter if the school is mixed, all-girl, all-boy, public, or private; it is still a school and every school has its ups and downs....right?

Good topic!

Thanks! and your right. It has its ups and downs ... but mainly downs cause all the girls at our school just act so differently around boys now that its just...well actually quite entertaining but still.

Lucky you with no unifrom! I would die for a dress code if it meant we had no uniform! Die!....yeah me had lots of coffee. happy.gif

Face it, anything is better than our uniform!

Ive gone to co-ed schools my entire life, i couldn't live without the guys. Some of my best friends are guys, it seems so weird to think about not seeing my guy classmates every day... i think i would go crazy because guys cause so much less drama than girls. the guys in my class sometimes mediate the fights between the girls because they find it so annoying.

My primary school was a mixed school as well as my secondary school and now my college. I have never wanted to go to an all girl school because I just seem to get along better with boys - most of my friends are males. I think that’s because the don’t seem as serious as some girls I know, I like how the can be so relaxed, I kind of envy to tongue.gif My boyfriend went to an all boy’s secondary school and he wishes he never went there tongue.gif

I've gone to publice school all my life. We are in such a msall town that there are only like 250 kids in my whole school and everyone knows everything about everyone else. It seems our school is very sports-oriented. The boys are as a whole a pain sometimes. A couple of them are very rude, but I've known them since I was in diapers pretty much, so I've gotten used to it.
The boys provide most of the action and entertainment (except for when there are these girls that get in fights every week) and I couldn't imagine going to an all girls school.

I go to a state mixed secondary school, I've never ever been to a same-sex school.

I've heard [From my ex-best friend who goes to an all girls school] that same-sex schools are really strict and less laid back. The rest of the girls care about everything- how you look, dress, act and its hard to be accepted for who you actually are, and most of the girls act like sl&g$ and by the time you finish year 11 and you leave, you've become one because everyone around you has been such a bad influence..
