I looked through all of the threads, and i'm pretty sure the wasnt anything like this, but if there is, please redirect me, and im sorry! But if there isnt, then here goes...

What is the name of the potion that Dumbledore drinks in the 6th book in the cave (the potion in the basin that is hiding the horcrux) when he is looking for the horcrux with Harry? Do we ever get a name for this potion?

Ehh, I dont think we get a name for this.
Its really powerful, like something no one has ever known. If Dumbledore's didn't knew how is that called, then I dont think somebody knows, except Jo, of course.

But in DH, Harry said that it was possibly ariana's death what Dumbledore saw.
So maybe its something that makes you see or.. Imagine, your worst fear, or your worst memory, and make you crazy so you couldn't get the locket.

Thought I dont know how dumbledore got out of his 'Crazyness'.

There is no known name for the potion that he drinks in the cave... i mean i suppose if you would ask Jo (JK Rowling) about this she would be able to come up with something, but for now it's not known to anyone besides the vivid imagination of the creator... unfortunatlly

I think that it wasn't created before, maybe it was a creation of Voldy, I guess we'll never know
